¡Hola, soy Robert!

Hello Folks,

Me? Well, I am a single, educated, sociable, well-traveled and professional gay male in my 30's. I've spent 10 years as an avid triathlete and now work out with my next door neighbor, a private trainer, in his on-site gym (You can too! - inquire about a package deal all on one lodging invoice) I keep the house very clean (actually the house cleaner does!) and I enjoy guests very much. Completely non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, color, age, national origin, ethnicity, race, gender, religion and sexual orientation. All are welcome of course!

I recently moved into this beautifully renovated four-plex and the neighbors are all fantastic, fun & nice yet quiet. All are very helpful to out-of-town guests just as I like to be. I am thrilled to be in such a neighborhood. Still discovering hidden treasure such as a farmer's market two blocks away. My neighborhood feels like a small village in the middle of the vastness of LA.

Previously I lived in San Francisco for 16 years but prefer LA by a long-shot. Ask me why! While I miss my self-restored victorian house & circle of close friends, I know it & they're there and I can visit at any time.

I keep continental breakfast, coffee, tea, snack and drink items on hand for your convenience. All to help you wake up at your pace or have something to nibble on after a night out. Doing AirBnB is new to me as of February but after renting my SF home out as a vacation rental I feel I have a great sense of what makes folks comfortable and at home while not feeling that in you're in someone's personal business. But, I strive to keep the amenities & discretion that a nice hotel offers. Bathroom necessities, quality NEW mattress, nice towels, sheets, duvet, safe. robe & complimentary honor bar. I'm not fussy about lending out the things that you may forget or are to much of a hassle to pack. I let you be as private or as social as you'd like to be. Whether TV & breakfast in bed alone or socializing with me in the dining room, it's your choice.

As mentioned elsewhere in this ad I do have one hell of a great indoor cat. Even though he's losing his site and somewhat demented he's still full of personality, affection, vitality & play. Follows me like a dog and he loves all people without exception (But shows a slight favoritism for the guys). However I don't let him in the guest room for those who may be sensitive to animals. Over the years I've never had allergic friends have issue with him. I heard it's a siamese/luck of the draw genetic thing. But I won't guarantee no allergies however.

AirBnB suggest that hosts state what the five things are that they can't live without. Good one. Mine at this moment: Sunglasses, iPhone, red soccer shorts, coffee maker & new razorblades. While I'm at it, five favorite things to do: Eat at dive restaurants, sleep in my tent, swim in Kona Bay, hang out at the beach (ocean or Lake Tahoe) or watch it rain/snow (not much of that in LA, I know.) Favorite DVDs: BBC's Planet Earth and Master & Commander.

Profession-wise I work for a movie production company. We make high-quality movie and documentaries ( The Help & An Inconvenient Truth for example). Using my MBA and Silicon Valley experience I do Business Operations and Project Management for them. On the side for my avocation I am a certified Life/Career coach with great results if I say so. I mostly focus on Job Performance & help folks become invaluable to their employer with less anxiety and time spent at the office.
