Take a quiet vacation at this fully renovated historical schoolhouse built in the 1800's. It offers an open floorplan with a loft area where the four twin beds are located *can be made more private by closing the barn doors. There is two full bathrooms, a large kitchen area, living space, dining space, and an open area we can set up to be used for craft activities or other activities upon request. It also has a Halo air purification system, stopping virus particles to travel through the HVAC.

This location is wonderful to take walks/ biking with a 7 mile trail around the lake.

Sure to please the outdoor enthusiast, the property is surrounded by public land with the Pinckney Waterloo Trail crossing at the end of our driveway, and several nearby lakes. Located 30 minutes to Ann Arbor, 15 minutes to downtown Chelsea which offers plenty of great eats and drinks, 20 minutes to downtown Jackson, 10 minutes to Sandhill crane winery.

Enjoy our hot tub all year long. Canal views with free access to pedal boat, SUPs, and kayak. Relax by the indoor gas fireplace or fire pit. Guest rave about nearby wineries and walking trails. UM football : 30 miles to the Big House. Equestrians- Waterloo Hunt: 9 miles. We offer dog-friendly accommodations (pet fee required). Want a pontoon to explore the lake? Boat rental within walking distance at the end of our street. We do NOT take responsibility for third-party boat rentals.

Make wonderful memories at this unique & quiet family-friendly abode. A 1 person & 2 person kayak included. Bonfire with s’mores (ingredients are on the house)! A darling treehouse, (read, draw & paint on canvases provided)! A swing-set is in the backyard for the kids to enjoy. Views of lake from the carriage house & views of the garden and woods in the back. Game room below the carriage house for rainy day activities including ping pong, board games and TV. Outdoor games available.

Devils Lake Getaway

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful lake cottage! This beautiful lakefront escape has everything you need for the perfect summer trip. The upper level features two bedrooms and shared bathroom. The lower level features a primary bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, and two living areas (including dedicated workspace). The cottage is a mere two-minute walk to dining, tavern, shopping, cafe, and the public swimming area. Bring your boat. The public launch is only 1/2 mile down the road.
