It's impossible to put into words how magical our time was at José's lovely home. It started with a national power outage - he rescued our group nearby, hosted us for dinner and made us feel unbelievably welcomed and comfortable. He and his lovely wife Cecilia, and their family, shared their stories, their home and their enthusiasm with us. It truly felt like a home away from home and was hands-down the highlight of our 10-day trip. From our shared meals, to the incredible view and property, immaculate home with everything you could possibly need, there was not one moment that we didn't feel like we had won the lottery by being there. We feel like we've gained friends that we will cherish forever. I don't think it could get any better!

A fabulous stay! A beautiful location with an incredibly helpful and responsive host. The property was very well equipped and provided a perfect place to relax. We felt comfortable and at home. We enjoyed the addition of a massage at the property, made available through the host. Thank you!

I've been to quite a few airbnbs around the world and this place is easily my best experi toence to date. The house was spacious and clean, of great location, and has very scenery look. The welcoming food and Porto wine were next level hospitality, and the hosts were always responsive and helpful. Will definitely be back.

C'est un petit village dans le haut d'une montagne, très tranquille mais il y a tout ce que l'on peut avoir besoin. Petit restaurant coller sur l'hébergement très bon, service simpatique (en français). Petite pâtisserie a 2 pas. Pour l'hôte, elle demeure dans le même bâtiment, elle ne parle ni français ni anglais, mais facile avec tout les traductions disponibles. Le seul point faible que nous avons eu, c'est le signal Wi-Fi, on a pas pus utiliser notre fire stick car le signal était pas toujours assez puissant. Je vous recommande, surtout si vous profitez de l'extérieur, la terrasse est sublime, avec une très belle vue. Merci pour tout au plaisir de se revoir

Wenn du in das Haus kommst dann blickst du einfach über das ganze Tal.. sensationelle Aussicht. Die großen Fensterfronten ermöglichen auch an kühlen Tagen die gleiche Aussicht von drinnen. Es ist gut erreichbar, alles geteerte Straßen nicht zu steil. Und dort ist dann Ruhe pur.. Abends hört man nur die Grillen zirpen.. herrlich. Die Better sind sehr bequem, alles ist vorhanden. Das Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, kleinere Renovationen würden über Zeit gut tun. Ich empfehle das Haus trotzdem jedem Ruhesuchenden, der schöne Aussichten liebt und in einer guten Lage für die Erkundung des Douro Gebietes sein möchte. Wanderungen sind ab dem Haus möglich und im Dorf ist das exzellente Restaurant DOC. Danke Mimi für alles..

Nous avons logé quelques jours à 4 adultes, le logement est très sympa avec ses 2 suites, les 2 chambres ont 2 entrées distinctes avec un sas où se trouve chaque salle d'eau et un grand placard. Logement très calme, les seuls bruits entendus sont quelques voitures (normal, logement situé au cœur d'un village) et le joli son de l'église (le logement est juste à côté, l'église émet une petite musique avant de sonner les heures à partir de 6h00 du matin jusqu'à 21h00 ou 22h00). Nous recommandons ce logement sans souci avec un propriétaire très sympathique.

This place was incredible. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, it was perfect. Such a kind host and farm manager, beautiful and peaceful surroundings, and convenient to all things in the Douro Valley. I would stay at this place again in a second. Definitely worth it!
