The Rimu Hut - Cosy Bush Escape

A tramping-style A-frame chalet nestled against rimu trees on the edge of a stunning 15-acre native forest block close to the Hunua Ranges in rural South Auckland. Built by the owners using macrocarpa timber grown on the property, it was intended to be a place where their grandchildren could enjoy sleepovers in the forest and afternoon adventures. They soon realised though, that such a special place should be shared so they decided to make it available to others. Cosy in winter, cool in summer!

Hereford Cottage

Welcome to our private romantic getaway at Hereford Cottage. Located in Whakatiwai, north of Kaiaua with a backdrop of the Hunua ranges. We absolutely love living here and thought we would like to share one of our favourite places with others. We offer a beautiful one-bedroom cottage with a lovely outdoor wood fire tub and a romantic little area with a firepit, nestled in a natural setting with views of a stream, native bush and native birds. Enjoy a night or a couple of nights here with us.

Tranquil rural getaway

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Close enough to all the shops, bars and restaurants in Warkworth and Matakana, but with the Te Aroroa trial (500 metres) and countryside on your doorstep. Less than 10 mins to Warkworth, 15 mins to Matakana with its vineyards & markets, close to Omaha beach and the beautiful Tawharanui Peninsula. A great base to explore this incredible area and then relax after a busy day of hiking, beaching & enjoying the local hospitality.

This cabin offers all you need for a retreat, with a modern interior and furnishings, and off grid. Take a walk down through nature, or just sit back and enjoy the view with a barista made coffee delivered to your door, we know you’ll leave feeling rejuvenated and completely relaxed! Only 20 min to Matakana or 15 to Warkworth town!

Omakana Cottage

This cozy & private cottage is the perfect place to unwind with a large deck boasting vast views. Inside, the cottage is beautifully appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. With open-plan living a comfortable sofa, & a well-equipped kitchen. You'll have everything you need to cook up a storm using fresh ingredients from the nearby Matakana Farmers' Market. Just a short drive away is the charming village of Matakana & beautiful Omaha Beach.

Hillcroft Cottage. Stunning views.

Hillcroft cottage is a small self contained cottage within our large garden on 16acres of land. There are 2 resident Labrador dogs, cattle and hens. Continental breakfast is provided. My place is close to Piha Beach, Piha Surf Club, Piha Cafe, etc. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the light, the sea views, the decks and beanbags, the 3 mins walk to south beach.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
