Surrounded by 1,000s of acres of state land just across the street, this is the perfect location for your outdoor getaway! There are dozens of amazing lakes nearby - Clear Lake State Park, Avalon Lake, Fletcher Pond! Don't forget your ORVs, hunting gear, hiking clothes, fishing poles, snowmobiles, boats, jet skis, kayaks, golf clubs, & the pups!

Take the kids to historic Alpena/Maritime Museum. Wine tasting also! (Sleeps 6-8) Main floor with stocked kitchen/fireplace/ games/ books and large deck overlooking the pines. Bed 1: Main floor King that can convert to twins. Bed 2: Upper loft/2 queen beds. Bed 3: Walkout w/queen bed and twin/1 bathroom.

Come and enjoy the peace and beauty of Northern Michigan at Grandma's Getaway! We have lovingly restored the interior of this home and it reminds me of being at Grandma's house. We have preserved many of the original elements and created a welcoming space around them. Enjoy Mio Dam pond, the AuSable River and walking trails during the day. In the evening relax in the cozy living room and enjoy a movie or play one of our many board games. Wake up to a beautiful view of the Mio Airport.
