Our large self-catering holiday home is located in Crossboyne village - only 3kms from Claremorris town. We can accommodate large groups of friends and families. You get our pub for just your group - you supply your own food and drink. All of the facilities of the pub are there for your enjoyment- pool table, tv, darts If you are looking for a romantic few nights away, a break with friends,a family holiday or even a fishing trip- we have the perfect place for you to stay. Our place is only 4.6km from the Dublin/Westport train line and close to Knock & Shannon airports (31km & 135km). Located only 4.7km from the local town Claremorris, which has boutiques, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, & great sports facilities (tennis, equestrian, gym and indoor pool, athletics track, etc). A good base for visitors who wish to explore Connemara & the West of Ireland while still feeling the comfort of home. Suitable for couples, adventurers, business travellers, and families.

An ideal location to use as a base for the wild Atlantic way with Galway, Westport, Sligo less than an hours drive away. 15 km to Knock airport, 3 km to knock, 2 to Claremorris. The house offers 2 living areas, spacious kitchen\dining room, 3 beds, 2 bath. The house offers a mix of modern and traditional features, with fully equipped kitchen, wood burner, oil central heating, WiFi and modern amenities.

Cosy Cottage

Kick back and relax in this calm, cosy space in the rolling countryside and just a 40 minute drive from Knock Airport. For something more lively there’s Westport and Castlebar, with their shops, bars and the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way. The 2 friendly cats, Muffin and Bruce, prefer to live outside but like to say hello. When not away working, I stay in a chalet on a separate piece of land close by but not overlooking the cottage. I do respect guest privacy.

Feel refreshed when you stay in this rustic gem. This newly built log cabin sleeps up to 3 people comfortably but 4 if required with the use of the fold out sofa bed, warming electric fire and mod cons such as kitchenette, heating, smart TV and tea making facilities. Bathroom with hot shower situated just next door in an additional log cabin. Both log cabins are fully covered out front with a veranda. Additional accommodation available, check for availability. It is where our grandparents grew up & has been extensively & lovingly renovated & extended by our parents to contain all the modern comforts while retaining many of the original cottage features & outbuildings.

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels
