We didn't want this vacation to end! This place was so beautiful and quiet. The pool, bar and outdoor kitchen were perfect. So well designed. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed walking the grounds and picking up fresh mangoes, coconuts, limes, starfruit and bananas. The wonderful scent of the ylang ylang trees was everywhere. Absolutely amazing. The house was spacious and we loved the doors of every room and the beautiful arched windows. Great architecture! The towels smelt fresh and were of great quality. The welcome book was truly helpful. Any question we had - the answer was in there. Very well done! One week was just not enough.

Loved everything about Jumanji! The place is beautiful! Lots of nice and interesting details everywhere, it’s very well equipped and Aleksei and Natasha are great hosts!

It was perfect! We were just 2 for a big place like but wanted full privacy and is in a gated community with a guard. It has very beautiful tropical landscaping, birds everywhere, ocean views from the pool, and we slept like babies. We only used the top floor bedroom, which also has a kitchenette, but used the big kitchen outside. It is fully equipped with gas stove, and 2 bbq's. There's a waterfall in the community with 2 natural pools to swim. Beautiful beautiful! I appreciated the easy self check in, it was simple and did not have to get through bunch of boring explanations (lol). We felt right at home, and will be back soon :)

Precioso lugar para una estadía fuera de la ciudad ! Wanda fue una excelente anfitriona y nos ayudó con todo lo que necesitábamos. La casa es mucho más linda que las fotos , en medio de cafetales y en una zona muy segura ! Tenía todo lo que se necesita y más ! Gracias !

Our stay was amazing. Derek and the Property manager made the entire process from booking, planning, checking-in and checking-out very easy and smooth. The home is in an absolutely beautiful setting that is teeming with wildlife and is away from other people and homes making it feel secluded and relaxing. The community is gated and has people that patrol the entire community making it very safe to spend the mornings or evenings walking the seemingly endless miles of roads. We could not have asked for a better home to stay in for our vacation in Costa Rica.

We had a great stay. This is a fantastic house in a central location, with several restaurants within walking distance. A few minutes drive to the beach and Manuel Antonio National Park. The wildlife around the house was incredible! At least two groups of monkeys and a flock of toucans traveled through the trees around the house each evening. Our host Charlie was very responsive and helpful with booking activities. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This place is fantastic. Amazing patio and pool with views of wildlife. In addition to visits from monkeys, we were lucky enough to see several sloths right from our patio including a mama and baby! The house was spectacular - super clean and well furnished. Pictures do not do it justice. Ismael was a wonderful host who was extremely responsive and was able to set up some tours and restaurant reservations for us, which was a tremendous help. We would highly recommend the Jungle Roost.

Words cannot describe the beauty of both the house and the surroundings. We arrived after dark and when we looked outside in the morning we were met with the most unbelievable view. There were 8 of us and not once did we feel like we were in each other's way. The house is huge!! The daily maid service was absolutely a bonus that we weren't expecting,,, she gave us so much extra time to enjoy ourselves. The wildlife was so much fun. We didn't even want to leave the property because we were scared to miss something. Monkeys galore everyday,, a sloth and a toucan plus lots of others. We walked to so many amazing restaurants and bars. We took ubers to the beach because it would have been quite a long walk. 100 percent rent this place if you are ever considering Manuel Antonio,,, you will not be disappointed.

I had the most amazing week here with my two teenage daughters. The house, spread across three floors, provided plenty of extra space, but what truly made it unforgettable was the breathtaking location and ocean view—absolutely worth it. Lorenzo, the host, was fantastic—always available and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that my first big adventure with my daughters was a memorable one. This trip was something I had been waiting to do until my girls were old enough to embrace long days of exploring and take on thrilling excursions like zip-lining, whitewater rafting, and scuba diving. The villa’s location made everything incredibly convenient—just steps away from a bank, grocery store, wine shop, and some incredible restaurants like Terraza, Emilios, Le Papillon, and Tico Times. If you’re looking to wake up to monkeys, toucans, macaws, and sloths right off your balcony—peeking at you through your screen doors—this is your place

Really special place!! The views are incredible and we saw so much wildlife from our beautiful wrap-around deck and the pool area, including monkeys, scarlet macaws and agoutis. Loved the privacy and serenity of the villa, but was a short walk to the Mariposa hotel. Would definitely stay here again!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Castillo. The pool is tucked away into the canopy a bit, which we ended up appreciating as it gave more respite from the heat. The taxi drivers know the house well because of the steep driveway that only a few drivers without 4x4’s will attempt; the walk is serious so if you’re walking wear something you’re willing to sweat in! The housekeepers do a fantastic job and somehow you barely see them. We would definitely stay there again!

Our stay here was absolutely magical and was truly a trip of a lifetime for everyone in my group! It was a girl’s trip for my bachelorette - 11 people total and beyond comfortable for all. We each had our own beds and plenty of space. The housekeeper and maintenance/pool man came daily. There are several terraces and outdoor spaces with equally unique and beautiful views! The villa is even more stunning & impressive in person. We opted to do the all-inclusive private chefs and it was BEYOND WORTH IT and really made our trip so unforgettable! Our chefs Mario & Adrian were absolutely INCREDIBLE; we ate like royalty everyday! The concierge team was so responsive and helpful in planning the trip and making all of our reservations for every type of activity we wanted to do! Excursions, spa day massages at the villa, airport transportation… they will help you book and organize every request! There’s not a single complaint or negative thing that we could say. STOP HESITATING & BOOK IT!!!

Our stay was great! The place is centrally located, close to grocery stores and restaurants. It was very large, plenty of rooms and bathrooms. The kids loved running around and swinging in the hammocks and the pool. The place could have had some upgrades, like soap in the showers and more absorbent towels - small things that were not a huge bother. There also seemed to only be hot water in the main house.

We had read reviews about wildlife and hoped, but it didn't disappoint. Daily Scarlet Mackaws, heard howler monkeys twice, saw a white faced monkey trying to get a lizard in the yard, squirrel monkeys in the canopy, iguanas, tree frog at night, and neighborhood dogs would visit each night randomly. Our kids loved the wildlife from the pool and searching around the property and neighborhood hikes to look for more. Not mentioned in the post- there is a washer and dryer in the basement area, along with wifi, outdoor shower to get off sand, and several grills to use. There was a wonderful gift basket when we arrived with pineapple the kids loved, coffee (so thoughtful), and local snacks. The AC in the rooms and fans worked great. The front gate was a nice feature for security (and keeping our kids in honestly). Great home and great location. Only downsides were depleted silverware for house with six people and hand washing dishes. Thanks for the flexible arrival and departure!

The house is gorgeous and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Olga is a great host, always responsive, courteous and friendly. I am looking forward to coming back.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the end of our Costa Rica vacation. It was a perfect place to settle in and unwind from all the adventures in our trip. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was great for cooking meals in. We did enjoy the restaurant on the hill (which you can see from the house) but note they only take cash. It was rated at the top of the best Costa Rica food we had. The drive was not as bad as I had anticipated since we had drove in Monteverde and other mountain towns. Definitely steep in some parts but moderate to places we had encountered before. I would still suggest at 4 wheel drive vehicle. Take a book or a family game and enjoy nature from the mountain top.

Un lugar super tranquilo, no hay ruido de nada, ideal para descansar y compartir tiempo en familia, la piscina super limpia y muy cerca de un río para poder refrescarse sin ningún peligro, calle poco transitada, ideal para llevar nuestras mascotas en un ambiente agradable, los recomiendo don José y doña Elizabeth muy gentiles

I absolutely loved my stay, the views were beautiful! The pictures don’t do the home any justice. Geisel was an amazing host, very attentive and responsive she made certain we made it to the home safely the day we checked in being that we drove in from SJO. Also helped set up tours. Recommendations for tours and food were great as well! 10/10 will recommend. We even enjoyed our last evening sitting near the pool outside, watching the rain! I didn’t want to leave.

If you are looking at too many Airbnb reviews and not sure which to book, make it easy and book this one! Gorgeous balconies and pools, daily monkey visits, toucans and scarlet macaws galore, and a stunning open concept house with lots of space. Clean, easy check-in and out, and close to everything you could want in town. If you need a lot of privacy in the Airbnb, do know that the upper bedroom is lofted and one of the lower bedrooms must be passed through to access the main stairwell and exit. This should not stop you from booking - just be aware! Jean was a delight and we hope to return one day.
