New Inn station is a five minute drive away with trains going directly into Cardiff.

Wharf House is situated on the Mon & Brec Canal, overlooked by The Blorenge in the stunning Brecon Beacons. It is an ideal location to relax or we have footpath & cycling networks on our doorstep and an array of places to explore nearby. A 40 min walk away is the well loved market town of Abergavenny, affectionately known as the Gateway to Wales, which offers an array of independent shops

Walkers Rest at The Hayloft - The Brecon Beacons

Nestled in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, this recent addition to an (ex) 1800s pub is a cosy yet spacious self catering space. Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

The cabin in situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons close to the market town of Abergaveny, with walks, cycle rides including mountain biking, cold water swimming. The cabin as heating on at all times, but if you want that wow factor, light up the log fire and just relax. (If you have never lit a log burner we can show you how to do it)

Local attractions include The Brecon Beacons National Park, Cardiff city and Bay, Bike Park Wales, Cwmcarn Forest, Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and The Big Pit National Coal Museum. Perfect Dog walking country.
