Lovely stay, thanks Georgina. We found the apartment to be spotless (and we are fussy!), well equipped with thoughtful touches like a beach bag with towels for use during our stay and an info book with recommendations for eating etc. A very short stroll to beach which was lovely. Shops, cafes, bars and restaurants very close by but it is also quiet with the bedrooms situated at the back of the apartment. Living area is great and the balcony a lovely spot, the plants are a nice touch and makes it feel like a home away from home. The bathroom is small and the only thing I would change would be to add a little more storage space/ places to put things (in bathroom only) but this was easily solved for us by clearing the cupboard under the sink temporarily (ie; moving the hairdryer and spare toilet rolls elsewhere) then using that to store toiletries during our stay. Georgia was very communicative and proactive. Wouldn’t hesitate to rebook!

My stay with Ali couldn't have been a better experience. The apartment is lovely and in a superb location, and Ali was extremely responsive and helpful during check in throughout the stay. 10/10 would recommend to anyone travelling to Newcastle (and the coffee in the café downstairs is awesome)

We had a great weekend at Viv’s apartment. It had a comfy bed, a nice little living area and kitchen and is bright and light. View is of other apartment buildings but that didn’t matter as it’s across the road from the beach and close to cafes and restaurants so great location. Viv was a responsive, friendly host. Would definitely stay here again. 😊

Brent’s place was wonderful, the view was absolutely incredible especially at sunset! We enjoyed our stay very much :)

Sarah's apartment is lovely, it is in a great location in the centre of town, with lovely shops and restaurants, beach and wharf all in walking distance. Would highly recommend and Sarah is a very responsive host.

We absolutely loved Annie’s house! We had a peaceful and relaxing stay along with our 2 kittens. The pantry is fully stocked with essentials. It’s 2 mins drive to town proper where Woolworths is. It’s 10 mins drive to salamander shopping centre where you can find Kmart, Aldi, Woolworths etc. it’s 11 mins drive to sand dune where all tourist activities are located such as sand boarding and camel riding. Beach is super close too! If you’re looking for a relaxing and affordable place, this is the place to be!

We stayed at Gails place for an extended period , whilst working in the area, greta central location, Very tidy & modern place, Gail was great with communication Highly recommended

The house was very nice and in a great location for anyone with dog's. Only 5 minutes walk to the dog friendly beach and half an hour's walk into town. As we haven't been to the area before, Clare's recommendations of things to do were excellent for the whole family.

Stunning and stylish appointed home. Every detail of interior design thoughtfully considered. There were many highlights especially the spa but also loved outdoor dining the upstairs living, quiet evening from the upstairs balcony. We rented the house as a couple which was superb and brought our daughters cavvie. We look forward to booking again soon and bringing our daughter to enjoy. I am almost reluctant to write a great review because I would love to selfishly keep this place a secret! A lovely little property, great facilities, easy to keep clean, a nearby walking track and we can bring the dog- what more could you want?! A pristine little beach a short walk away, perfect for little children, stand-up paddle boarding, fishing and those who don’t like waves. When the tide goes out there is not much to do except go searching for Pippi’s, have a siesta, have an aperitivo under the umbrella in the properties lovely little garden or maybe drive into nearby Nelson Bay for shopping or coffee etc. We have already booked for next year!

Richard was a fantastic host! The accommodation was comfortable, and in a great location. It is a very family-friendly place, with everything we needed to feel right at home. Communication was smooth and easy throughout our stay. I truly felt welcomed and would highly recommend this place to anyone, especially families, visiting the area. This place was incredible! This holiday unit was beautiful, clean, ocean view, spacious and with all the amenities available including the pool and gym- I could not recommend this place enough. Lorraine was nice and really easy to communicate with, Thankyou for letting us stay at your place 😊

Perfect for a weekend or even long term getaway. Location was great, right in the heart of the city, 5-mins walk to a couple local pubs, cafes and convenience stores and 15-mins walk to beach and light rail interchange. Also noticed quite a few buses with different bus routes around the area as well. Check in was a breeze and not that I had any issues but Mel was quick to reply once I had advised check in and check out. The place itself was fantastic, ducted air con throughout, 2 very big comfy beds, large lounge area and huge dining area with a kitchen that had what you need to cook for a large group of people, if you wished. Having access to a washing machine and dryer is always a plus, esp. when there’s a 2nd toilet and the bathroom was clean as well. Would definitely look to stay there again if going back up to Newcastle.

We had a wonderful stay at Adam's place. Loved the large deck - great for kids and adults alike. Everything was as per the description and photos on the website. It is a lovely open plan space. Everything you might need is within walking distance supermarket, bakery, Cafe, Golf Club. Playgrounds and of course the beach and river. Hawks Nest is a beautiful place we will be back.

The apartment and the amenities are outstanding. We returned here because we had to extend staying away from our house because of renovations. This was our first choice and u cannot recommend it enough. What really does need highlighted is how much of an outstanding history Connie is. She was so understanding, compassionate, super friendly and flexible. She deserves 10 stars.

We loved our stay with our little family! Unreal of the kids with all the little touches! Couldn’t recommend enough !

Bed was super comfy too and despite being right on the front the place was very soundproofed. Mark was very responsive when we were getting in and on the lead up to our stay. Thanks!
