Nestle Cottage is a beautiful cottage bordered by a trout stream located in a wonderful retreat-like setting in Boone. It is within 5 minutes of all the restaurants and Appalachian State University. Our cottage offers 2 bedrooms with new custom built barn wood furniture, 2 full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with gourmet coffee bar, a cozy living room with gas log fireplace, a basement with laundry area, game room and cozy den area with electric fireplace and television. (Please note the siding is being redone on the farmhouse in front of the cottage so there will be construction noise at times) This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.
