The Hideaway - a cosy calm oasis

A cosy, calm oasis set in a spacious garden of fruit trees. This sun filled pad is the perfect base to relax in, or from which to explore Whanganui. The Hideaway is part of the owner’s art studio complex with its own deck. Guests will be greeted by med sized dog! Only 5km from town, facilities include dbl bed, smart TV, fridge, m-wave, toaster, hotplate, washing machine, clothes rack. Tea, coffee, herbal teas and light breakfast provided. Off street parking in drive. Some pets ok if arranged.

The Signal Box Riverside Accommodation- Whanganui

Stay in a beautifully restored New Zealand Railway Signal Box. This building has plenty of character and spectacular elevated views of the Whanganui River. Relocated in the late 1990's to its current position, the Signal Box is set on 5 acres of land with the adjacent family home, chicken run and farmland. Check out our website for more information. We are situated on Papaiti Road, on the true righthand side of the Whanganui River, approximately 8km up the river from the centre of the city.

Fully renovated in 2020 Cook a delicious meal in the well equipped kitchen, then dine on your choice of decks to soak up the rural or sea views. Just a 7 minute walk to the popular Castlecliff beach for a swim or take a stroll along the black sandy beach, call into the Citadel for a meal or drink on the way home. It comes with a well equipped kitchen and breakfast is included. There is a smart Tv and Wifi. There is a locked garage available for storage of items such as bikes or small water craft. There is heaps of parking for trailers etc. Wake up and listen to the bird song - we hope you will love this place as much as we do!
