Fox Cottage is a little gem in South Devon. Beautifully refurbished, the 18th century thatched building is ideal for a relaxing break or for a longer stay. The Farm has rare-breed sheep, goats and chickens as well as heritage cider orchards and a 17th Century Cider House. From time-to-time produce can be bought during your stay. Tucketts is a peaceful regenerative farm and a wildlife haven. It's just a short walk over fields or through woodland to the Farm's shingle beach on the Teign estuary.

A bird watching haven - egrets, swans, geese, avocets, osprey, European roller (2023) and this year ... a sea eagle! Masses of walking trails and cycling.

Thatched Dartmoor Cottage | Sleeps 6 | Log Burner

Ivy Cottage is our beautiful thatched cottage in Ilsington, Dartmoor. Three bedrooms (sleeping 6), and a log burner that earns its keep when the weather turns. Wet boots by the door, logs on the fire, and Netflix if you don't want to go out! Dartmoor is right there — Haytor, the ponies, a good long walk and a cream tea! Ilsington is a small and quiet village. The village pub closes 26 September; others around Haytor and Bovey Tracey. Parking available outside the cottage!

Having undertaken a major modernisation the cottage retains many historical features . Sleeping 6 in 3 double bedrooms there is a large kitchen diner , sitting room with log burner , bathroom with bath and separate shower and a downstairs cloakroom . The enclosed small garden to the rear offers lovely views and the opportunity to star gaze at night . We allow flexible check in and check out times if there are no bookings either side. One dog is welcome for a booking fee of £60.

A stones throw away from the River Dart located on a peaceful road, the cottage is an excellent base to explore the town, local coasts and the countryside, with lovely walks right on your door step.

A special place that used to be an old bakery full of character with a wood burner in the lounge/diner, a good sized bedroom with kingsize bed, spiral staircase, original beams in the kitchen & a sweet garden with sun trap behind the house to enjoy.
