The Swiss House is an ideal retreat for families seeking a harmonious blend of comfort and connection. The expansive open-concept living area downstairs fostered a sense of togetherness, while the well-appointed kitchen made preparing family meals a breeze. Nestled away from the hustle, yet conveniently close to amenities, the house offers a perfect balance of privacy and accessibility. A quick drive to Mayflower Beach added to the allure, making our stay nothing short of delightful.

This was the perfect place for three friends who write and workshop together online to gather in person. The main room of the house is filled with light and what I didn't realize from the listing is the beautiful view from the living/dining room down to the river. The kitchen is well supplied and every room was very clean and uncluttered. The three bedrooms on the first floor are all very nice, with good beds and pillows (one is slightly larger with a king-sized bed), so we were able to decide on our rooms painlessly and none of us had to settle for an inferior room. The large dining table was perfect for spreading out our work as well as for dining, and one of us enjoyed having the furnished basement as her private work space. When we had a problem with hearing a beeping noise, which we initially thought might be a smoke detector battery that needed replacing, Bob was very responsive and helpful in figuring out the cause of the beeping from a motion detector. We plan to come again.

I had high expectations coming in, but this home exceeded them by far. The interior is spotless, the condition is great, you could see that the owners put a lot of effort into it with lots of nice little touches to improve utility and aesthetics. Eugeniya was super helpful the entire time, she and Rudy are awesome hosts. I want to point out that the location is also very nice. We liked the town, the restaurants, the beach (15-20 minutes drive), Mashpee Commons. Santuit pond is wonderful and provides some nice fishing spots. The big pleasant surprise was the Santuit Pond Reserve, it’s in walking distance and provides tons of great hiking opportunities. There are many other attractions nearby, I recommend visiting Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich (20 minutes away). Overall we had the best time, I highly recommend this place!

We had an amazing stay. Jennifer was a very helpful host. The loft bedroom was only accessible by a steep ladder which could be tricky for some groups so that is something to keep in mind before renting but otherwise it was wonderful. We enjoyed the view, seeing wildlife and relaxing on the deck. There was nothing we needed that we didn't have. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Lisa’s place for three nights and it was a 10/10 experience. Lisa was a fantastic host and was very helpful with island recommendations prior to our trip. The property itself is stunning and although we wanted to explore the island, the property also provided a beautiful landscape to just relax. Even given its private, peaceful location, it was still so convenient to town. The house is an adorable converted barn that has incredible, rustic charm and the decor was so beautifully thought out. Before we even left we were talking about booking again in the future. We definitely recommend booking here!

My family enjoyed staying here. It had a beautiful view from the back. Gorgeous in the morning! I loved it here and we felt at home. There was plenty of room for our family and it felt so cozy.

The house was cozy, clean, and a great place to stay for our time in Cape Cod. Steven is very responsive and we had a fun and easy time there.

Jason’s place was amazing! The location was so private yet so close to everything we wanted to do! The home was so cozy and welcoming, every spot in the house was cozy. We loved the loft area and just lounging playing ms pacman. The yard is beautiful if it weren’t raining I’m sure most of our time would have been spent there, the lake was gorgeous! Our dog loved all the windows and couldn’t stop going from one to another to check out the property! Such a great home and location we really look forward to staying here again and getting to take advantage of the lake!

The place was amazing. I absolutely plan on bringing my family again, hopefully this year. The host was excellent. He was there when we arrived, gave us a quick tour and some easy instructions on how to use items. We loved the lake, and the house came with everything we needed to enjoy our time

This was the ideal location for my husband and me to spend the holidays with our family who live across the lake. Will and John gave us a warm, friendly welcome and Quinn also checked in to make sure we settled in and had everything needed for a comfy cozy stay. It was easy to communicate with everyone and the location felt peaceful and private but not isolated. I can't imagine a more ideal experience and cannot thank Quinn enough for making this stay the best ever we've had with Airbnb!

If you are looking for simplicity (which we were) this is the perfect place to. I’ve always wanted to stay at a lake house. We couldn’t have asked for more. Serene, tranquil, beautiful are the proper descriptions of the house and the area. We came to Connecticut to visit my daughter and family and they ended up coming to our place instead. Jason was extremely helpful when needed. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay at this lake house for I think was our third visit. It is super clean and so relaxing every time we go. One of the best parts is we get to bring our 2 dogs with us. The host, Van, is always very responsive and accommodating. I'm sure we will go back for a fourth visit sometime soon! :)

Marilyn was wonderful! The home was so cozy and we enjoyed it. She was very kind, gave great recommendations and always answered promptly. There are beautiful trails to walk and a fire pit!! One of my favorite places I have stayed. I highly recommend if you want a peaceful and cozy stay.

Great find! Hidden cottage away from the road, with lots of space to sit indoors and outdoors. Master bedroom spacious but missing blinds, make sure to bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in! Enjoyed our stay!

I really liked all the outdoor activities my daughter and I did! Karen let us borrow the games inside the cabinet and they were pretty interesting. There's a lot of beds, and they are all comfortable. I really like the view when we were sleeping on one of the bed because you can see the lake when the sun sets or rises. It's really beautiful and I really liked spending time on the canoe and having this vacation! My family and I loved coming here and hope that we can come again. This was our 2nd time staying at Brian's place, the home is perfect for a larger group and has so many toys for the kids, they LOVED it! Everything is very clean, and the kitchen has all the pots/pans needed for cooking. In Feb there was so much snow we got to go sledding in the front yard, and a few from our group made the trip to Stratton for the day. We love going to Wilmington for coffee/lunch. Planning to be back again in 2026!

We had an amazing stay at this cabin. Tucked away in the woods right on the lake, it was incredibly peaceful and the perfect place to relax. The cabin itself was adorable, clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. We only spoke to the host (Angela) briefly, but she was so kind and welcoming, and let us know she was available if we needed anything. It truly felt like a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to come back!

While I have stayed at AirBNB’s before, I never rented one myself so I was nervous. But as it turns out, my experience couldn’t have been any better. Communicating with Tim was easy and he was responsive. The cabin itself looked amazing online and was even better in person. From the cleanliness, to the peacefulness, to all the small touches Tim put into our stay, it couldn’t have been any better. He even has the cutest dog. I could go on and on about how wonderful it was but I think you just have to experience it to understand. One last thing - try the bakery he recommends. Trust me.

Gary was extremely helpful and responsive. The house is beautifully designed. The only downside was the ticks—we found several on our dog throughout our stay. Apparently, male ticks are less likely to transmit diseases, but I’d recommend giving your dog tick prevention medication before your trip, just to be safe.
