SELF CHECK-IN The house features an electronic lock on the front door. Two days prior to your arrival I will send you your code that unlocks it, and you may let yourself in any time after 4pm on your day of arrival (or 1:30 pm for luggage drop off). House instructions and wi fi passwords are posted in the kitchen. EARLY CHECK-IN and LATE DEPARTURE This is a frequent request, and since the house is rented out nearly 100%, usually impossible to accommodate. The house takes five hours to clean between 11 am checkout and 4 pm check in. However, if you don’t mind seeing a messy house you may drop off luggage after 1pm. Similarly, if you are checking out and have a late flight, you may leave luggage by the front door until 12:30 pm. MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENT. I get many more rental requests than I can handle. Weekend reservations that includes a Saturday night must be for a minimum of three nights. I generally do not allow birthday parties, bachelor /bachelorette parties, music performances, or any gathering likely to create excessive noise or disturb the neighbors. For speciaI uses, charge the daily Airbnb rate for the number of guests actually sleeping over, plus an additional flat fee that is based on the specifics of your use. To request a quote, tell me the number of people sleeping over each evening, plus an estimate of the total number of additional visitors, employees, guests , employees or service providers who would be at the property each day. Initially a granny flat, it's been transformed into a comfortable and spacious hang out. Its central location makes it ideal to explore the area. There is plenty to do on site; barbecue, play corn hole or horseshoes have fun with games and cards kept in the hall, enjoy the pool and hot tub in the warm season. May to Sept. The twin beds can be easily configured to a king bed. Price includes a 13% local occupancy tax. Your cottage opens up to the pool area which maybe available during the summer months but not guaranteed as this pool is too deep for kids to stand in. There is also a hot tub open from March to Dec. So the key to open the pool is subject to conversation. The pool is shared with us. No parties please. This is a non smoking property. We love dogs but we can not allow pets brought in. We have a large dog and cats. We kindly ask for slow driving up and down driveway as the animals are slow to move as they own the space. These are accommodations you wont find at a hotel. We are not one, this is our home we are opening to share with you. We are next door most times if you have any questions otherwise we will respect your privacy. The guest house sits on three acres with the main house where the host lives with her husband. It is just one and a half miles to the freeway and town. Four minutes to restaurants and grocery stores. There are chickens, 2 baby gosts, and a rabbit on the property along with cats and a large dog, Jules, who is sure to greet you. The pool will be opened to guests that can swim only as the shallow end is quite deep. Opened when the temperature increases in the summer months. A cold pool is no fun to swim in. Open the sliding door to let the gentle sea breezes waft in and settle down to stream a favorite show on the Smart TV. The interior blends coastal touches with boho chic, and there are little luxuries like a work space and secluded private outdoor space. I adhere to the CDC cleaning protocols. I use UV C light for added disinfecting and sanitizing of the Studio, and have also added a Dyson air purifying fan and heater to insure you have clean air. This studio is located on the first floor of my three story home. The studio shares the first floor with the garage so you don't have any shared walls. You have two windows, one in the bathroom and a sliding glass door in the bedroom, they bring in light and the sea breeze but have no views. While this studio is private you may hear footsteps above, music drifting in from other parts of the house, and the sounds that come from everyday living. You'll have one parking space available on the right side of the driveway. More free parking is usually available at the end of the street, 15 houses down on panama. During the day there's extra parking at kiddie beach. I live on the two top floors of the house so i'm easily accessible for as much or as little interaction as needed. The setting on a quiet street is only half a block from channel Island harbors Kiddie Beach and 1.5 blocks to Silver Strand Beach, a popular surf spot and vantage point for catching the sunset. Watch for whales and discover a yoga studio, corner market, and salon, all only moments away. Hollywood by the sea has unique sounds too. You'll hear sea lions, boat horns, and on occasion a fog horn. Every morning at 8am you'll hear our national anthem, and at sunset you'll hear taps. You'll have to pay attention or you'll miss it. It's one of many thing I love about this area.
