Just to say Angela and James were the best hosts and we have stayed in our fair share of Airbnb’s. The photos just do not do this place justice, it was absolutely spotlessly clean throughout and so modern inside and out, it really was lovely vibe and we will definitely be back one day.

It was the perfect cosy cottage to spend Christmas together as a family gathering from Dorset, Gloucester and locally. Thank you!

Felt right at home and loved the place. it was great watching the stars and planets from the hot tub. Joe kept us stocked with firewood. local pub friendly with excellent real ale. never got the opportunity to eat there but heard the food is good.

Lovely stay for the weekend - it’s really beautiful and well appointed. Spotless and spacious. Communication before arrival was excellent. I scraped my ankle and the hosts provided plasters promptly which was much appreciated. Bath was also very comfy, a real treat as we don’t have one! Would definitely recommend.

Was a perfect stay from start to finish, we had Absolutely nothing to complain about. Clean, perfect location and peaceful!

Very quirky home. Didn't have the opportunity to meet Diane but met the cleaning lady and she was lovely.

Lovely little house about a 15 mins walk away from beachfront. Nice touches put on by host with fresh breakfast items available along with all the condiments should you wish to eat in. Bed really comfortable, clean and the hot tub was used regularly. Didn't need to contact host as everything was so well explained although Joy did state we could check out later if we needed. Great place to explore and would definitely use again of in the area. Many thanks

It was a lovely stay, after a walk around the four waterfalls. The place was very clean and tidy, with all amenities. We were very comfortable and would love to return back.

Good place, probably nicer than the photos. It's not luxurious but it's good value, easy to stay there, facilities all in good nick etc. Would recommend.

My husband, our daughter and I loved staying at The Old Stables with our two dogs. We felt comfortable and very much at home there. It was very well-stocked, including key consumables. The countryside around the village is beautiful, and we enjoyed some good walks together, all recommended by our host Fran. She is a very thoughtful host. She sent us very good instructions and advice for finding the property, and provided us with details of local attractions, activities and beauty spots. We had a very relaxed and stress-free stay, which is just what we needed. Thank you, Fran.

Lovely cottage to base ourselves for the waterfalls walk and exploring the local area. Cottage was well equipped, comfy and very clean. We had a great stay. Shower is amazing!!!

We had a cosy, comfortable stay at The Walkers Rest, with stunning views right from the windows. We made good use of the provided map for a beautiful hike around the local area, spotting plenty of spring lambs along the way. A late request to Angharad for use of the sauna was kindly accommodated, and it turned out to be the perfect final touch to our stay. The sauna features large windows so you can soak in the mountain views and we even heard owls calling in the evening! We’ll definitely be returning!

The accommodation was amazing, we wanted a getaway from reality for us and our little kittens and we did exactly that, we loved it. The donkeys, cats, dogs etc are all so loving and caring we would 1000% go again.

We felt right at home in Elizabeth's cottage. The house was perfectly formed and cosy. The views were lovely and the place was very rural and quiet. Check in was easy and flexible. There was a walk from the cottage which was lovely on our first day. kitchen was small but perfect for a couple and we cooked both evenings. Would highly recommend and will definately be looking to go back. Thank you Elizabeth for the use of your wonderful cottage.

Thank you for having us at Craig yr Hafod, we all had a wonderful time. Loved the peaceful and beautiful setting and really enjoyed exploring the plot and neighbouring mountains. Would love to come back and see the area in another season.

Really good place to stay. Very homely and comfortable. It’s a remote spot surrounded by dramatic scenery and an easy step outside to go on yomps across the beacons. I’ve been to a couple of Air B N B’s in the area and Bertie’s home was right up there. I would recommend this to a friend.

Large rooms with lots of space, very comfortable with old fashioned furniture which suited the age of the building. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Beautiful gardens to look out on while we rested.

Tracey was incredibly welcoming and had baked us a cake and gave us some farm eggs which were both delicious! She also helped us with local recommendations for places to eat and was generally lovely. A beautiful, modern conversion of a barn on a working farm with lambs in field around. Well equipped and decorated with comfortable under floor heating. We were walking the 3 Castles Way and every thing was in easy reach. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed to stay at Elizabeth’s house! It’s peaceful,and you have everything you need! We was welcomed with a basket of gifts ,fresh eggs ,wine ,biscuits and crisps!Was very nice from their part and make us feel at home! We enjoyed the surrounding,the horses very close to the house,and we did buy eggs from the farm !Beautiful! We did barbecue and we have an excellent time with our friends! Thank you ! and I recommend it to everyone who need to relax in a peaceful environment!

Wonderful return stay. The cottage is comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Perfect location with lovely walks from the doorstep. Great shops and places to eat in Abergavenny and nearby (Baffle Haus and The Retreat). Will visit again soon!

Me and my friends stayed for a couple nights over the weekend. Really beautiful and quiet village. The house was so calming, tidy and clean, and just smelt great! Sean was a lovely host and came to see us on our first night. It wasn’t obtrusive he just checked in and recommended going to the local pub as there was a band on - which we did and really enjoyed. We stayed here to visit Hay-On-Wye and it was an easy drive to there. We did a few walks down the river and it was lovely. Highly recommend:)

Beautiful cottage with small garden (but enough room for a game of boules with the kids☺️). Loved the views & the log burner. Well-equipped kitchen. Wonderful walks & places to eat nearby - Carol has lovely recommendations, and there are plenty of maps/pathfinder-style guides in the cottage. A walker’s paradise. We thought it was a great base from which to explore the surrounding area. Carol was always very prompt to respond and extremely helpful with any questions we had. Recommend wholeheartedly!
