Absolutely loved my stay; I’ve been coming to the Lakes for over 20 years and this place is the ultimate cosy retreat, just what you want to come back to after a long day out walking. The property has everything you need and is very dog friendly; I always come armed with blankets and towels but it makes it so much easier not having to worry about carpets and the coat stand came in very handy for drying things. The location is great; I arrived much later than planned in the dark and found it no problem. It feels very peaceful and private but Windermere high street is within walking distance. I will definitely be back again, thank you for a great stay!

Great place to stay near scarfell pike and a beautiful location. Great house also plenty of space for the 12 lads who rented this place for a stag doo. would recommend

We loved spending Easter weekend in this lovely home. It was well equipped with everything we needed, and we enjoyed both the wood burning stove and the nice sunny terrace after exploring Cockermouth and the Lake District.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming farmhouse in the Lake District. The place was immaculately tidy, with a very well-catered kitchen that had everything we needed—perfect for cooking up a proper Easter Sunday roast, which we were lucky enough to enjoy outside in the garden thanks to some glorious spring sunshine. The wood burner made the evenings extra cosy, and the peaceful, beautiful surroundings made for a truly relaxing break. Diana was excellent—friendly, helpful, and very responsive. highly recommended!

A beautiful little place set in lovely surroundings. It was so clean inside and had everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful with a lovely walk to Appleby close by. We had the grounds to ourselves as the owner was away for the weekend. It was just what we needed after travelling the highlands for a week prior to our break here. Would recommend it to anyone.

My family and I stayed in Haylie’s property for a nearby wedding. The property was exactly as described, with plenty of character, comfortable bedrooms and clean bathrooms. Haylie provided everything guests could need and want for a stay, including toiletries and a well stocked kitchen. There are plenty of mirrors too for those groups needing to get ready for a special occasion. The area is very peaceful, with the nearest beach a short distance away. A lovely spot to have a cup of tea in the morning and listen to the birds! The nearest large supermarket is about 10 minutes away. I would recommend for couples and large parties looking to stay in the area. Thanks Haylie!

The cottage was exactly as described. The owners were very communicative and we had no issues during our stay at all. It is a great location, nice and quiet very close to Kielder Water and Forest Park.

Wonderful place in a perfect location of Keswick. A short walking distance to the shops and the lake. Certainly enjoyed taking the dog out for his walk with all the parks near by and a stroll to see beautiful views of Derwent water. The beds were comfy and the place was nice and cosy. A good variety of entertainment in games and books for the kids as well as ourselves. Having our own parking space was very convenient. We saw a lot of cars taking forever looking for one. I will definitely look at staying again when we next visit 😀

The caravan was tastefully decorated, sparkling clean and right by the little pond - definitely the best spot in the holiday park! It had all the equipment we needed and there was lots to do for the children around the holiday park as well. Can't fault it really..

We spent 5 nights here at the end of March and start of April 2025. We were really fortunate with the weather and took full advantage of the wonderful location: scaling Slight Side and Scafell on one day, riding to Coniston via the bridleway on another and 'bagging' most of the Coniston fells on another day via Wrynose Pass. We ate in on a couple of nights and also went to the Wainwright's for some pub grub, as well as Stoves for their evening menu. Simon and Belinda's place is very well situated in Great Langdale for all kinds of walks and rides, food and decent pints. The house itself is a lovely place to return to in the evening with easy parking outside for our van and once inside, everything is spotless, well equipped and cosy. We really appreciated all the helpful information on bike routes and walking routes and spent the late evenings by the fire pouring over the Wainwright books planning the next day's adventures. 100% recommended.

Great lodge situated right at the top of the site, within 2 minutes of a small walk with panoramic views of the valleys. Bedding was super soft & so were the towels, comfy bed, great sleep. Beautiful surroundings to wake up to and sit outdoors with a coffee listening to the birds. Dog friendly! Comfortable sofa! Lots of utensils and plates.

We could not have got a better deal in such a nicer place. Thank you for letting us into your holiday home! We went to Silloth which is a 25 minute drive, with amusements and a chippy and ice cream etc, great for the kids. The park itself was fab, everything we needed for a family with two young children. A really lovely cabin with everything you need for enjoying a few days in the Lakes. We loved the location, very close to Ambleside and not far from Grasmere and Windermere for shops. Loads of nice trails available as soon as you leave the estate. We stayed with two kids and it was perfect, would love to visit again!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage in Elterwater — the perfect base for exploring the Lake District. Four of us (two couples) and our dog had plenty of space to relax. The cottage was spotless, with comfortable beds, high-quality linen and towels, and excellent appliances throughout. The location is unbeatable, nestled right in the heart of the valley with stunning 360-degree views and direct access to countless walking routes into the surrounding mountains. There’s a great local pub just a short stroll away and an outstanding nearby restaurant focusing on small plates and local produce — a real highlight. Although the cottage has one designated parking spot, there’s plenty of additional parking within two minutes’ walk, which made things very easy. Alun is a fantastic host — warm, reliable, and always helpful. We’ve stayed in a few of his properties now, and they never disappoint. We’d definitely seek out one of his places again next time we’re in the Lakes.

Ross has been very responsive right from when we first booked a year ago, the lodge was perfect for 5 of us, ideal location for what we needed, you didn't feel on top or overlooked by others despite being near other cabins, on site facilities were excellent! Would definitely book with Ross again, his standards are high and we loved the little extras which included Easter eggs for us all tea/coffee bits and a pint of milk! thanks so much Ross!!!

Fantastic location for various activities, we were really pleased with the amount of space and how well presented the accommodation is. Very short walk to the pub for great food and good beer too so that was a plus. A few questions pre booking answered swiftly and accurately, nice touch with some basic provisions in the kitchen to help us (tea / coffee) :) thanks again , great stay!! We will be back I’m sure!!!

Great place, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. A few seconds walk to the heart of Ambleside but quiet despite the proximity of bars and restaurants. We only stayed a night but being able to park close by and walk out for dinner/ breakfast pastries was a lovely bonus when we usually stay in more remote locations. Thanks for a great stay, we’ll be back!

Absolutely stunningly renovated old Sunday school, very clear instructions helped us find the home first time. The home itself has absolutely everything you need. We had cosy nights in front of the fire, enjoyed cooking whilst watching the lambs play in the field, relaxed in the spa room after a long day of walking. The doggy hamper was a special touch ❤️ My personal favourite was a long soak in the incredible bath tub. There a lots of wonderful walks right on the doorstep. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a perfect relaxing few days.

Really enjoyed our stay here with the dogs. Lovely views from the windows and great communication with hosts. Had one problem with the fire alarm beeping and was fixed within the hour after messaging them. Would definitely stay here again

Christopher’s house was very welcoming and dog friendly. His dog had even left a couple of balls for my dogs to play with. Although close to a busy road, the garden was well fenced in and safe. The house is beautifully decorated. And the location is very close to some great trails. Thanks Christopher

we loved our stay in Longtown. Andrea's caravan was absolutely spotless, so comfortable and spacious for the 4 of us and our lab dog. the property have everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. The shower was FANTASTIC! normally I dread caravan showers but this was bliss. Communication was ideal. Always a really prompt reply. We would love to book again.

We had the best time so much so that whilst we were still there we have already booked to come back in August. Jade and James were extremely friendly and great with the kids. They went above and beyond to make our time there special. Amazing views and lovely waking up to see the animals in the fields. The kids loved seeing the farm dogs. Very peaceful and private. Would highly recommend.
