Mahoney Manor

My father executed his vision and built Mahoney Manor from the ground up. What started as a "camp" eventually became his full-time home before his untimely death in 2018. Nestled in the woods at the base of Ira Mountain just minutes from Sugarloaf and along the Carrabassett River, Emmett created a sanctuary. He spent the last years of his life "developing" two empty lots into a Zen-like nature trail system with hand made bridges and benches perfect for 4-season walking or snowshoeing.

Our cell service is terrific, but there's no tv or wifi...come to the woods & unplug!

Cozy, all-wood interior with funky bunk bed tower, homey propane stove, and den with bar and large TV. Equally well-suited for families, friends, and responsible mountain enthusiasts! We love our shackteau and know you will, too! We received negative feedback on our last cleaner so we have a new AWESOME cleaner :)

Sugarloaf Mountain, Slim Melvin House

Classic ski camp originally built in 1960 by Sugarloaf founding father, Walter”Slim” Melvin, and updated in 1998. All pine interior. Carpeted second floor bed rooms. Just 3 miles south of the Sugarloaf Mountain access rd. The camp is a very quiet retreat for family and friends. Dog friendly. Snow shoe out the back door and connect with the trails of the Outdoor center. Tune your skis on the basement work bench. Valley shuttle is available on call.

Hillside Hideaway - Great Location & Hot Tub

Welcome to our cozy Sugarloaf/Carrabassett Valley home! Sitting in the back of Redington is our private home with a hot tub, firepit & grill! There is ample parking for you & your friends. It is about 27 minutes to Sugarloaf and 8 minutes to Kingfield; located directly off Rt. 27 in route to Carrabassett Valley. You can hit the slopes then come home to a cozy, gas fireplace.
