It was very cozy and clean. Nice area as well.

Gloria's place was just what we needed. We were just the right distance from the Monastery that we like to visit. Gloria was very sweet and cared for us, even putting down salt on the steps on the really cold mornings. We were able to disconnect from our busy life as a family and just relax. We highly recommend a visit if you want to relax and unwind in Wayne.

To say this place is amazing, is an understatement. It was cute, and felt like home immediately. I absolutely loved the vintage touches, and the porch was nothing short of a highlight. Duncan was amazing... responsive, kind, and happy to help! I will absolutely be staying again at some point.

Such a great stay with a beautiful, peaceful surrounding. I enjoyed coffee on the back porch watching the birds and enjoying nature multiple times. The house is very easy to find, and the photo instructions make finding the enterance a breeze. The parking area is large enough I could have turned my Corolla around in the driveway if I'd needed to. The drive up to the house is your typical West Virginia back roads, but if you take it slow and pay attention you'll be just fine. Scottie was quick to respond to any questions I had, and made sure I was comfortable and happy with the stay! If I end up back that way I would for sure stay again!

Place was as described. Check in was easy. Sherry gave some great recommendations for food in the area. This was for a guys golf and river rafting trip and was a good place for us.

The home was perfect for our occasion. It was really cool to watch the barges go by on the river. There’s a park and ride right down the street which was great for our overflow parking. Loved having a cabinet of games to choose from.

We had a wonderful stay! This house is conveniently located in downtown Charleston in a quiet quaint neighborhood. We walked downtown and also had easy access to the interstate. Location is perfect. We have stayed in this neighborhood before. The neighborhood surrounds a power plant, but that did not affect our stay one bit. The plant is surrounded by a nice brick wall and provides extra light that also affects security. The house has plenty of privacy in the perfect gated backyard and the plant is inconsequential. We parked a car in the garage and an SUV in the driveway. The house is best for two vehicles and there is no on street parking due to the power plant. Just plan accordingly. The house is spotless and spacious. We felt completely at home. There are plenty of amenities- towels, dishes, attention to detail. The hosts were perfect, they obviously take this seriously. You won’t regret choosing this house and we will return when visiting Charleston in the future.

What a unique and beautiful residence. My husband is from that area, and we came up from Florida to visit with his family. One of his uncles and his wife stayed with us and we branched out from there to visit others daily. The home is so beautiful and comfy with many areas to sit a spell and visit. Loved everything about it! We would absolutely book here again!

Shane stepped up when our original host cancelled on us 3 days before we were to arrive. His willingness to host us last minute reduced a lot of my stress. We were coming to town to surprise my daughter at her baby shower and were to share a house with my best friend and her kids. We wanted a house that had a homey feel and would allow us to visit. Shane’s house allowed us that and to see my daughter. There was also a nice spot to sit on the front porch, or the back porch. The location was great for the stores we were visiting and for the ability to get on the road and go other places. Shane was great at letting us know how to get in before we arrived, calling to make sure we got in ok and didn’t have any issues with the house, and responded timely to my questions.

First impressions: clean and well kept. Thanksgiving with family worked out well thanks to the tidy house with plenty of kitchen stuff to make our meals. Central heat kept us warm and the working fireplace was great to hang out around. We didn't go out and about due to snow. There is only one bathroom but we made it work for us.

The retreat was beautiful and as described in the description of the place. the hot tub was by far our favorite part of our stay after walking around all day it was nice to relax and unwind before bed. Peggy our host was very responsive and extremely helpful with any questions we had. the check in went smoothly and was super super easy and flexible around our travel schedule. we will definitely return and highly recommend you stay at this lovely place.
