Katie was a wonderful host for us. We were celebrating my wife’s retirement and this place was everything we hoped for and enjoyed our stay immensely. Any questions we had, Katie responded quickly and was very helpful. We would come back to this place in a heartbeat. We would highly recommend you consider staying there.

The place is amazing! It is walking distance from the beach, it actually has two beds plus an air mattresses (not all listings are true to their descriptions), and the hosts are extremely communicative and helpful. If you’re coming to Kihei or honestly Maui itself and this place is available, don’t hesitate to book it.

Pamela’s place exceeded our expectations in the best way. It felt like a hidden gem, and honestly, we tried to extend our stay because we were enjoying it so much! Sadly, it was already booked (no surprise), but Pamela was super communicative and kind throughout, and we totally understood. This place has actually inspired us to build our future home with the same layout! Our check-in situation was a bit unique due to some schedule changes on our end, but Pamela went above and beyond to accommodate us. She made the process seamless, and the directions to get to the “Kula Jewel” were spot on—no guesswork needed. Pamela was kind enough to meet us in person and personally show us how to use the hot tub. Although we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the hot tub or pool this time around(amazing ocean and Maui valley views from here too!,) we’re already planning our next staycation and will definitely make the most of them then. If you are looking for somewhere where you can enjoy beautiful peaceful, sunrises, and get to see turtles right off your front porch, this is it! The condo is not fancy but has everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. The best part is the private patio looking directly onto the water with access to a small area of beach that turtles love to visit. Added bonus was access to the pool and hot tub and grill right there outside your door. The area itself felt very safe. While not walkable easily to dining it it is a very short drive to many good restaurants, beaches, and activities.

Had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Elise and Bruce's condo. Explored different beaches (walkable and drive to), did some biking, hiking, many books read, weather perfect as it usually is in S Kihei, enjoyed sunsets at the pool, and cribbage matches on the lanai after a day outside. Appreciated some food staples already in the cupboards and Safeway store not far away. Tried a Bruce-recommended Sushi restaurant (Avo was the name, I believe in Wailea) which we liked and also pre-booked at Star Noodle in Lahaina to enjoy another wonderful asian meal, otherwise cooking in and at the condo community BBQ. Well set up for a small family and recommend it.

Unique stay just outside of Makawao, perfect location for Muai's upcountry adventures. Staying here shaved at least 45 minutes of the drive to sunrise at Haleakala compared to staying at the resorts on the south side of Maui. Very unusual home, we thought it looked like a bamboo space ship. It would work well for small family or two couples who were good friends, plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen was very well stocked, be aware there is no dishwasher. Host was responsive and gracious. Would stay again if we are ever back in Maui.

We had such great time during our short stay. The listing was just as described, with all the beach amenities provided, towels, chairs umbrella, etc. The location was right off the beach, yet very quiet during the night. Highly recommend staying here.

Very convenient and comfortable, well-appointed. The condo is on the shady side of the complex, which might be an important advantage in the summer months; it was not an issue now, although it was hard to find a sunny space to dry shoes. The general aspect was very pleasant, with very easy access to the beach, which is gently sloped and has calm waves. Easy highway access to drive to other places. The ceiling fans keep the rooms feeling cool; we were always comfortable. The (patio? lanai?) outside the living room was an extremely pleasant place to sit. The instructions warned about ants, but we saw none. Possibly the season, or the fact that we didn't cook much. The one thing I could have wished for was some specification in the description about the hardness of the mattresses. Preferences on this vary; we prefer very firm mattresses and these were somewhat soft, which caused problems for my wife's back.
