New River Trail CottageBuilt in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. While sitting on the wrap around porch, listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away. The cottage boasts historically preserved features as well as luxury and comfort for guests. It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!
Family Guest Suite with Claytor Lake ViewsCome for a relaxing weekend getaway or for a family vacation! We are located at Claytor Lake with easy access to Interstate 81 and Claytor Lake State Park. Experience an open, inviting ground floor in-law suite with 3 separate bedrooms, full bathroom and an open living/dining space. Our porch offers beautiful lake views, porch swing, rocking chairs, propane fire pit, and a gas grill. Our suite is the lower level of our home. We live upstairs so if you need anything just let us know.
