Both house and gardens have been carefully upgraded while retaining their period charm. The house is situated down a private drive and guests will have exclusive access to the 2 acre walled garden and be able to stroll the 20 acres of grounds that surround the house.

The Lodge at Caherkelly

A warm welcome awaits at The Lodge at Caherkelly. Nestled off the main N18 near Ardrahan, the Lodge is set on a 5-acre site. A peaceful countryside area yet perfectly located within a 25 min commute to Galway City and within minutes to The Wild Atlantic Way route. The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels
