The state's oldest railroad line came through Normandy in 1853 and has frequent trains whistling for a crossing near our front porch. Some folks find trains romantic. Others, not so much. Attractions include George Dickel, Jack Daniels and Nearest Green distilleries, river kayaking, a lake beach for swimming, dining and unique shops, all within 20 minutes.
