From the moment we arrived, this home swept us off our feet! This place is truly magical. Handcrafted from local sources (timber, coconuts, shells, stone), every detail reflects respect for the environment. The house is cozy, peaceful, & rustic, w/a funky edge. My favorite area was the patio, which opened up to the rainforest, teeming w/birds & flowers. I loved watching monkeys in the trees & listening to the waves. Next to the home is the owners' incredible restaurant, Arboloco, a local favorite. The restaurant has a chill jungle vibe (delicious Afro-Caribbean food) & is open Wed-Sat. Despite the nearby dining, privacy was never an issue. The path to our Airbnb was clearly separated, maintaining a secluded experience. The location is serene & is a 10-minute drive from Bocas Town. This Airbnb isn’t just a place to stay; it’s an experience… an artistic retreat. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect blend of nature, privacy, & local culture.

Our stay at Casa del Fuego 1/10-19/2025 was exactly what was advertised online on Airbnb. We were fortunate to have been able to meet Shauna the owner during our stay. It is always nice to see owners that are actively engaged in wanting to make sure the renter has a great experience. The best Airbnb experience we have ever had! Tess and Jeremy are the coolest, kindest and most welcoming hosts. The property is incredible, with a waterfall just a short walk from the casita and so much to do and explore. The casita itself is perfect, comfortable, and we even got visited by a night monkey. The location is a dream as you’re close to the other islands but it feels like you are so secluded, completely surrounded by nature. We will never forget our time at la Tierra del encanto, it is incomparable to anything else we’ve experienced. We wish you so much success and happiness, thank you beyond words.

Das Haus ist wirklich außergewöhnlich schön und detailverliebt, auch die Außenanlage ist liebevoll und phantasievoll gestaltet. Was überraschend ist dass keine mosquitos im Haus sind obwohl es keine Scheiben nur fliehengitter gibt. Super nette Gastgeberin. Das einzige (was aber nur am vielen Regen lag) dass alles etwas klamm war, war aber auch nicht weiter schlimm. Super toll!

Julieta’s place is a bit higher than the rest of Old Bank village, so it’s very quiet and peaceful. She has a big garden surrounded by big trees and bamboos specifically her jackfruit trees attracted many birds which we could observe every day from our room! The trail to Wizards’ beach is right at the corner where we saw a couple of sloths! She is very friendly person who cares about us all through our stay by messages, despite she was off the island. Highly recommended!

Le 2e étage était très chaud et long à refroidir le soir malgré l'air climatisé. C'était assez humide aussi. Il faut savoir qu il y a un espace entre le mur et le plafond, ce qui laisse passer humidité, chaleur et insectes. J'aurais aussi aimé qu'il y ait un garde près de l'escalier pour nous éviter d'y tomber. Les lits sont confortables. Le futon très ferme, mais adequat pour un enfant. J'aurais aimé avoir quelques oreillers de plus. La terrasse est confortable avec son hamac. La table extérieure pourrait être modifiée en retirant les planches qui empêchent nos genoux de s'approcher. Le frigo était spacieux et très froid. Le four au gaz fonctionnait très bien. Le four grille-pain etait fontionnel mais plutôt long pour griller le pain. La salle de bain etait adéquate. Il y avait amplement de serviettes pour notre séjour. L'hôte Daniele a toujours répondu très rapidement à nos demandes. Un problème avec l'eau chaude a été réglé très rapidement malgré que nous étions un dimanche.

While some parts of this place are in need of some serious TLC, the serene views from the covered deck more than make up for it. The photos were taken quite a while ago and it may be time for some updated ones. The kitchen is in desperate need of being updated. Being next to the sea breeze has taken a bit of a toll on all of the appliances. It didn’t bother us during our short stay. The views though… watching the sunrise over the water through the coconut palms was a sight I won’t soon forget.

Really fun place to stay. Was bigger than we expected and kids loved the lookout bedroom. Walter was super helpful with taxi numbers and advise on good places to visit. There is a nice small beach that was good to chill on just a 5-10 min walk and taxis to further afield were easy to arange via whatsa msg.
