There is a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Wool-based insulation and central heating keep the hut cosy warm and welcoming at any time of year. Thing to see include:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), The Roman Wall, Durham City, Kilhope Lead mining Museum, The Metro Centre (shop 'til you drop). The C2C cycle track is also close.

The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. In the mornings you can look forward to a delicious breakfast in the formal dining room. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use.
