June 2017 added second Living Space area with view of adjacent farm and wood, Lobby area with Laundry facilities and a second bathroom. Please note the Grounds and external outdoor perimeter of The Barn is protected by CCTV TK Alarm Company. Please know this is a simple place. It once was out buildings, however you will find it warm and homely.

Keogh's Country Retreat

Our home is nestled on 18 acres of idyllic countryside, which not only boasts access to a private lake with runner boards you can fish from but its green fields roll down to the banks of the Shannon River Navigation. By DAY you can take a stroll, watch calves frolic, swans busy with their signets, darting dragonflies and watch as the cruisers sail past. By NIGHT you can sip a glass and watch the fabulous sunsets, have a BBQ or toast marshmallows over a pot bellied fire under a blanket of stars.

It is a perfect place to stay when exploring tourist attractions in the Midlands or going to a wedding in one of Cavans hotels or just for a quiet break The self contained apartment is fully stocked with all kitchen essentials needed for a self-catering break The hosts are happy to answer any questions about the apartment or the local area. Toddy’s Hideaway is our new wheelchair accessible studio, situated on same grounds as Toddy’s Cottage and Stables. Sleeps 2 people. If your looking for a quiet getaway or you want to come as a family or group of friends you could book the Cottage & Studio. The Cottage sleeps 5 people. It can be booked separately on airbnb. Situated in Potahee less than 5 minutes from Ballinagh town and 12 minutes from Cavan. A perfect retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

Killeshandra Studio

The Studio is in a quiet countryside location a short walk from Killeshandra - a small village surrounded by lakes - popular for fishing, walking, cycling, golfing and many outdoor activities. It is a good area for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids), with a playground nearby. This would be a great base for touring around the country, just 1.5 hours drive from Dublin and 1.5 hours from Belfast. Fishing boats and guide available for hire.

So, if you need anything, we are not far. At 7km from Ballinamore & 18km from Carrick-on-Shannon. *speak french too. *minimum length of stay: two nights
