Our treehouse is a unique, handcrafted, rustic experience, it may not be for everyone. It is called The ReImaginator after a machine in my first children's book that restored stolen imaginations because building this space was the first step Robbie and I took in following our own dreams - we hope it inspires you to do the same. The treehouse is at the bottom of a forest like garden in the heart of Kilkenny, just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. A true rural retreat in an urban setting.

From artist studio to guest house, this little building is an ongoing project, with so much to offer. Sitting on higher grounds just behind the main house, it has its own garden with a view to take your breath away. It’s a bit of a rise to get there but totally worth it. If you keep climbing across small fields and a strip of forest, you’ll find yourself on Slievenamon’s mountain trails. Downhill from here lies Kilcash village, pub, church, more forestry and the ruins of an old castle

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Our Orchard Gallery Apartment is situated in the middle of Highbank Organic Orchards with views from all sides of the farm. The Apartment is part of my house, built on the farm 15 years ago and boasts lavish floral works of art, painted by me, on its walls. A wonderful natural light flows throughout the apartment with wide vistas of the farm from every room. A quite, comfortable rural retreat for anyone on business or pleasure .

It is the ideal place to relax with a book and enjoy the many small birds and wild plants that share the space. It is a great base for walkers and cyclists to explore the surrounding pretty villages and beyond. What better way to spend an evening than to cook in the out door kitchen and dine under the stars.
