We spent a great time in Castle's house that is spacious, well equipped, clean and in a very good location. For parking in front of the house you have to pay but there was free parking facility in the neighbourhood, First we had some difficulties making things work in the house (water, heating) because it is a bit complicated but figured it out after all. Castle was always available and reacted quickly whenever we had any issue. Perfect place for 7 people, I recommend and would return.

Shaunna was super communicative and made sure I was set to go for my stay. Her home was very unique and inspired, making me feel at home as soon as I stepped foot in the door.

Perfect, we really loved our stay. Fantastic host, perfect house, room, kitchen, and bathroom all in top order, with lovely views of Lake. If in the area again could really see us staying here again.

Margaret was great and very informative. She was clear about the room and amenities. She helped me figure our the lock on the front door which was very different from what I am used to. She was patient and always kind. Great experience.

We were all happy with the place I stayed here for the past 3 days and had a really pleasant experience. The place was clean, well-kept, and located in a quiet, peaceful area perfect for a restful break. It’s also very child-friendly, which made it an easy and comfortable choice for families. The calm surroundings and safe environment added to the overall relaxing vibe. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Portumna, especially those traveling with kids or looking for a peaceful escape.

We loved the cottage from the moment we pulled up. The photos don’t do it justice. It’s beautiful inside and out. Set in beautiful surroundings, the kids particularly enjoyed watching the cows go into the fields every morning and watching the sheep dog race down the fields. The kitchen and living area is open plan and perfect for families. The layout works well and the bedrooms are spacious. Jeanette was very responsive and helpful and gave lots of local recommendations for places to eat and drink in the area, we loved The Thatched Cottage which was a 5 minute drive away. We would highly recommend this cottage.

If you have a chance to stay with Frances you are so lucky. One of the nicest hosts I’ve met through AirBnB. The house was perfect and spotless. Homemade baked goodies were to die for on arrival. The fire was lighting, the heat was on and the house was so cosy and warm. Beautiful and quiet location in the countryside. We booked Prosecco Painting and it did not disappoint. The snacks and Prosecco was flowing and the 4 of us now see ourselves as budding artists. The hot tub in the evening to relax topped it all off. All the locals we met on a walk were so friendly and helpful. The beds were so comfy. A home away from home. We will definitely cross paths with Frances again. She is just amazing!!!!

this is a highly recommend cottage and the host james is a genuine lovely person we really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be calling again

This accommodation was perfect. We were five adults attending a family wedding which took place at the Hotel which was next door to this accommodation. We even walked into the hotel in the morning and paid for breakfast. The accommodation was immaculate and I would highly recommend it.

Splendida sistemazione immersi nella campagna e nella quiete ma allo stesso tempo i principali servizi sono raggiungibili a piedi in pochi minuti. Parcheggio privato. Casa provvista di tutti i comfort necessari per un piacevole soggiorno. Il nostro gruppo si è sentito come a casa.

Me and my family we had an amazing stay at June’s cottage. Everything was so clean and very high standard. I felt like home. Stunning view, lovely area, gorgeous patio. June provided us with bread, eggs, butter, jam and milk which was very nice! I would recommend everyone! Best place in Ireland. JUNE YOU ARE THE BEST!

We had a lovely stay at Audrey’s house, every thing was as expected, very clean and spacious,outlook to front through the glass sliding doors looked out across to the park . We were met by Paul who showed us around and said we were to contact him if there were any problems of which were none, we have been going to Mountshannon for 26yrs now, it is a lovely wee village and the people are so friendly, we will definitely be back
