Road end lake access, as well as 1.2 miles from the only public boat launch and state park on the lake.

The property is bounded on 3 sides by the Au Sable State Forest. Situated in a relatively remote portion of the lower peninsula, guests are virtually assured a tranquil stay. Enjoy reading a book in the screened in porch, or down by the river. You have access to the heated community pool, sand volleyball Court and playground. Spend the day fishing, canoeing or kayaking down the Au Sable river. We are centrally located among some of northern Michigan’s best golf courses including Garland, Treetops and Michaywé.

Club Thunderbird Lodge is a private lodge & cabin combo on the Au Sable River. The 7 acre property is completely surrounded on both sides of the river by 250 acres of Trout Unlimited land that is yours to explore- no neighbors in sight! Pet-friendly.Both the Lodge and the Cabin are solely yours to enjoy with your family and friends during your stay. We have Direct TV in the main cabin, Thunderbird Lodge only. Currently, there isn't a TV or Cable in Squall Cabin.

We welcome up to two pets, each weighing under 50 pounds. For your furry friends' safety and comfort, we kindly request that they either be crated or accompanied at all times during your stay.

The Castaway on the Ausable River Holy Waters

Tucked into the tall pines alongside the Holy Waters. The Castaway offers an amazing location for enjoying all the AuSable has to offer. Just outside the kitchen guests will enjoy an outdoor area & firepit. The deck around the front of the home has a grill and river front view. The cabin itself sits about 200 feet back from the river. Entry into the river off the property is ankle deep rocky bottom. This is not a party destination.
