Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". It is a peaceful oasis, tucked away from it all at Foss, in the Tummel Valley, but it is easily accessible from the A9 near Pitlochry.

Located on the waters edge of Loch Katrine in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher etc. Linens are provided for your stay. For the 2026 season, we have a new hot tub and sauna available. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate a Sunday arrival or departure.

The garden is bordered by two private rivers Cnoc Famh is an is superbly situated for outdoor activities including forest walks, cycling, Paddle boarding and canoeing

At Milton Cottage we aim to offer guests a cosy retreat to our croft where they can come and unwind in Glenlyon, Scotland’s longest and most beautiful glen. For hill walking, Ben Lawers and 12 munros are within a 6 mile radius. If you like fishing, salmon and trout fishing can be arranged. On request, we offer a three-course dinner. It's all homemade and we regularly cook vegetarian dishes, using our own or local produce where possible. The cottage has reliable WIFI broadband.
