I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Motherby House and am so grateful to the hosts, Jacquie and David, for making me feel so welcome. They’re both kind and engaging—and they gave me some great recommendations for places to eat and visit in the area. Breakfast was delicious and Jacquie kindly made me a tasty packed lunch for my hike! I’d be very happy to stay here again.

Had a fantastic stay at Pondon Mill this weekend. We were made to feel so welcome, the breakfast was fantastic. We did establish our dog is scared of cats, but as Barbara suggested we just need to get one of our own to train him. We will definitely be returning. Amazing setting, lovely people. Fantastic place to stay with so much history. Thank you for having us!

Perfect place for our needs for 3 nights away. Fantastic location for both shops/bars/restaurants and Jesmond Dene. We were able to walk into the city, along the quayside, and through Ouseburn via Heaton Park and Jesmond Dene back to the place. It’s a great walk and highly recommend it. Joanne is a great host. Perfect in terms of instructions for access, parking, and recommendations. The place is clean and cosy. What more can you ask for.

I had the most wonderful experience staying here. Rosie was very welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The cottage is beautiful and really cozy. The upstairs was spacious and the bed was perfect for a good night's sleep. Rosie was kind enough to take the time to walk with me to the River Derwent. It was such a beautiful stroll and a lovely way to see the area through a local’s eyes. She also gave great tips on nearby places to explore and walk around. In the evening, they even offered me pizza and chips, which was so thoughtful and kind. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. I had a fresh fruit salad followed by a lovely hot breakfast. Rosie also shared a homemade jam, which made it feel all the more special. I couldn't recommend Rosie's place enough. Thank you, Rosie and Paul, for the warm hospitality!

Me and a group of friends stayed here over Easter and it was the most incredible place. Anton and Penny were so helpful and lovely. The complimentary breakfast and food at the pub was so delicious and the yurt was so cosy, clean and well put together. Would definitely come back to this Airbnb. Penrith was a 15 minute drive away and the village was very picturesque. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing stay with some very helpful hosts

Perfect for my needs. Phillipa is an exceptionally kind, welcoming and easy going host, and her house is neat, clean and in a great quiet location. Ideal to explore Ripon and the surrounding countryside. 5 stars in every respect.

What a wonderful place to stay . You are immediately made to feel welcome , and you feel instantly at home. Room clean , cosy and comfortable with tea making facilities in the room. If you have a dog , they are made to feel just as welcome as you . In a handy location , with lots of walks nearby. Such a peaceful location. All in all , I would highly recommend this B and B for both human and four legged friends.

Very comfortable rooms and lovely hosts. The breakfast was a standout, as reported frequently by other guests. Location superb for walking into town, and the upstairs suit afforded plenty of privacy. A real winner!

Der Aufenthalt bei Andrea & Paul war super. Alles war sauber und ordentlich, es war sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Andrea war sehr aufgeschlossen und hat uns Tipps zum Essen gehen und Wandern in der Umgebung gegeben. Es gab jeden Morgen ein nettes kleines Frühstück, das wir sehr genossen haben! Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und diese Unterkunft weiter empfehlen.

Diane was a very responsive host and an extremely lovely person. She and Ian were very helpful, the location of the BnB was excellent, the room was lovely and clean with a comfortable bed and nice hot shower. Diane’s cooking was also incredible, we enjoyed two very lovely breakfasts. We would absolutely stay again!

Would highly recommend staying here, I stayed here for my birthday and it was the perfect night away, tranquil, scenic and absolutely worth the money! Tobias is a class host so unbelievably friendly and accommodating!

Moira is friendly, helpful and flexible. Her home is cosy and in a quiet area however very close to the Metrocentre and many great places to eat. Moira always leaves a nice breakfast treat for my daughter. We will be back as soon as we can ☺️

Great peaceful stay in beautiful location, opposite the marshes... a stunning sunset walk! Delicious breakfasts, Raphaela went out of her way to cater a tasty vegan breakfast. One of my favourite breakfasts in a long time! Thank you for a warm and friendly stay, would highly recommend :)

Tony is a kind, reliable, and responsive host who made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The house is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully furnished, creating a warm and comfortable environment. Its location is ideal: just a 10-minute walk from both the train and main bus stations, which makes it a perfect base for exploring the Lake District. We especially enjoyed not having to worry about breakfast each morning before heading off early on our new adventures. Special highlights were spending time with Smudge, Tony’s adorable and playful kitten, and admiring Tony's latest pottery creations. We’d gladly stay here again without hesitation!

Lovely stay. The hosts were very clear on check in instructions. Our room was exactly like the photos. Bathroom was clean. House was perfect location, plenty of parking and everything was in walking distance.

Julia is very friendly and easy to stay with - I also appreciated the use of the kitchen and other areas of your very tidy home. Very walkable location, close by to the Metro and also some local shops which are handy for food/anything you may need. I will not hesitate to book again if available and highly recommend to anyone needing somewhere to say locally if you are looking for a home away from home!

we stayed at Liz and Edwards farm which was one of the most memorable experience. The place was tastefully decorated by Liz who had been an amazing, helpful and kind host serving up delicious cakes and breakfast each day, making sure we start the day right! She was extremely helpful in suggesting places to visit as well as showed us around her beautiful farm. One of the best bnb's i have stayed at and would definitely visit back when visiting the lake district. The farm gets covered by a blanket of stars at night, an ideal location for a peaceful holiday!

Marianne ens va oferir una esmorzar fantastic va ser respectuosa i es va interessar en les nostres inquietuts. Per nosaltres un dels millors llocs on hem passat la nit. Un 10 per Marianne.

Heather is a wonderful host and the Coach House is exactly as described. The information provided by Heather is really helpful and Heather responds to queries very quickly. The Coach House is spotlessly clean and has everything you need although the provision of a TV would be a bonus. However, WiFi is available and guests are offered the opportunity to watch TV to on their own devices. The location is excellent with lovely views from the Coach House windows. I would highly recommend the Coach House and I plan to return soon.
