We had a lovely overnight stay in the Shepherds hut. Stella went out of her way to leave everything we asked for. We were looking for a unique stop over o. The way home from camping in the lakes. Joseph’s shepherds hut was chosen and it was a great choice. We had great directions and it’s a lovely quiet setting. A short walk into the village was nice to explore. Once back we had an evening meal using the cooking facilities and played Monopoly with logs crackling on the small log burner ( all supplied cut for free). We slept well and out son commented on how nice it was to hear the birds waking him up. Stella & Ian let us enjoy our surroundings uninterrupted. Really nice memory added to our trip. Just wish we had more time to try the restaurants in the village.

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin whilst on a weekend getaway. Stella kindly left clear instructions of how to get to the cabin, left a heater on for us so we were cosy from the get go on the arrival which was fantastic after a cold windy February day exploring the local sites! The cabin was extremely comfortable and cosy, we loved the privacy and were able to ‘switch off’ from our busy daily lives - a perfect break which allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. The cabin was also in great proximity to a variety of locations - we managed to explore Carlisle, Hadrian’s Wall and the Gretna Green outlet whilst staying at Stella’s cabin. Thank you Stella and would highly recommend our stay to others!

The hut was spotless with clean crisp bedding. Two double beds in a bunk bed form, sink, toilet, shower small table and two chairs inside. However, with the weather being nice we spent most of our time outside on the picnic benches around the fire pit. Communication with the site was great and staff lovely. We took our two grandchildren and we had a great time in the shepherds hut. They loved the bunk beds and collecting twigs and fallen willow fluffy seeds to use to start the fire and toasting marshmallows at the fire pit. They also loved the play area which we could also use when the hall had closed. The area is very peaceful and clean. We nipped out to a takeaway for a pizza (12mins away) as the food places had closed when we got there. We did go to the Garden Room eatery for breakfast which was lovely. Would highly recommend coming here and would definitely be going back again.

Merveilleux endroit pour visiter le nord de L'Angleterre. Environnement calme au milieu de la campagne anglaise et des nombreux moutons et faisans 🐑. Logement bien équipé, propre. Andrew a été au top comme hôte, réactif et sympathique. Tout était parfait.

Really really good stay. Enjoyed the use of the indoor and outdoor fires, especially under the stars and listening to the owls. Kathryn & Trevor have really used the space well and it feels very private. Trevor welcomed us from the beginning and was very friendly and showed us to the hut. Perfect weekend away to recharge and spend quality time with loved ones. Thank you for letting us stay in such a lovely peaceful space! Oh and the sheep are extremely friendly too!

It was absolutely fantastic all round. quaint area and place. All the included facilities were nothing sort of brilliant. Our stay was exceptional. It was exactly what was needed to unwind and relax... simply perfection. Thank you... We will most certainly be back!

Stayed in the shepherds hut. Hosts are very responsive if you have any questions. Very comfortable with all the amenities that you need. Fabulous views in the most peaceful surroundings with plenty of country walks close by. If you are looking for peace and quiet and a place to recharge. This is it! We have visited the site twice now. We will definitely be back ❤️

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner who was lambing. We were shown lambs that were 15 minutes old! Very friendly owners who are clearly passionate about what they do. The shepherds hut was very clean throughout and very cosy with the underfloor heating. The little personal touches throughout really made the place feel homely. We walked into town which didn't take long and found a great selection of pubs and food available, as advertised. Attached to the side of the hut their was a little sheltered area with the wood burning stove and BBQ. Even in a cold wind, this area was toasty with the burner on. Even if the weather turned, you'd be fine having a BBQ outside here. All in all, a brilliant little place that we will be returning to

Lovely shepherds hut tucked away down the lane, with a great view looking at the mountains and fields around. It was a really relaxing atmosphere and you are never too far away from good walks or restaurants. The hut was comfortable and easy to use kitchen and bathroom facilities. We would definitely stay again!

We had such a wonderful time during our stay in the shepherd’s hut—it honestly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and welcomed. The hut itself was incredibly cozy, with every little detail thoughtfully considered. Waking up surrounded by nature and stunning views of the mountains, was just what we needed to unwind. We loved the little touches, like the hamper, the Easter decorations and the wood fired hot tub. The outdoor area was just as lovely—perfect for sitting with a cup of coffee in the morning or stargazing at night. It felt like our own private piece of countryside. It’s clear a lot of care and love has gone into creating this peaceful getaway, and it really shows. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend this special place to anyone looking for a quiet escape with a touch of magic. Thank you Jane for a such a wonderful Easter weekend!

This place was so so clean and beautiful! So close by to local tourist places such as three peaks and Malham cove and on such a lovely quiet street. I highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of booking! Felicity is very lovely, left us milk, biscuit and things to make ourselves hot drinks! This place was beautiful.

We had a fantastic weekend at Ali’s Little Woodland retreat - it was so peaceful and the surrounding countryside is just stunning. Lots to see and do in the area. The hut has everything you need, the bed is very comfortable and the fire kept us very cosy. The dogs thought it was the best place ever. Absolutely recommend it, stay for as long as you can!!

Extremely well appointed Hut in a beautiful, peaceful and secluded location. Pre-lit hot tub was a joy after a very long drive and the perfect way to relax under starry skies. We didn't want to leave!

Such an amazing place to stay and had a gorgeous time, very clean, private and peaceful. Will be returning back and staying more than one night!

If I could give 6 stars I would. Amy’s place was absolutely as described and even more. Pictures didn’t do the surrounding areas enough justice absolutely beautiful and peaceful area perfect for a couples getaway. Was my girlfriend birthday and Amy went out of her way to set up balloons and even got her a gift. Amazing host, amazing AirB&B. Would 100% return.

I stayed in flora at the garden rooms, it was an easy quick check in and was given a friendly welcome and informative instructions on the use of the log burner hot tub, its in a scenic spot and I had a great time, we were greeted with a welcome basket with snacks and a bottle of Prosecco, not many places go down to little details like this, absolutely perfect stay.

Ashley’s place was perfect for a secluded escape in the countryside. The hut was very peaceful and private- just us and the sheep. The inside of the hut was beautifully decorated and well thought out. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor fires on an evening. Ashley was friendly, and gave us great recommendations for walks and pubs. Both pubs were 20 minutes walk away, across picturesque routes. We will be back!

We had an extremely cosy and relaxing weekend for my partners birthday. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side the first night but we did manage to get in the hot tub the second night. The games round could do with a wee update of games and darts but we had a giggle anyway. Beautiful area, short walk to the beach and we had everything we needed. Daniel was very responsive with any questions we had. Great weekend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Shepherd’s Hut (Hillside Hut). From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, cosy, and thoughtfully prepared. The hut itself is beautifully designed, full of charm and little touches that make it feel so welcoming. It was also spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the wood-burning stove made the evenings so warm and relaxing. Everything you could possibly need is provided, from a well-equipped kitchen to lovely outdoor seating where you can enjoy the views and the quiet countryside. The location is perfect, peaceful and private, yet still close enough to explore nearby villages and local walks. We loved how quiet and calm it was; it really is the perfect place to unwind and escape everyday life. The hosts (Joanne & Steve) were brilliant too, friendly, helpful, and respectful of our privacy, which made the stay even better. We would absolutely love to return again very soon and would highly recommend this little

This place is amazing and even better in person! The location is stunning and tranquil while being so close by to Alnmouth and Alnwick. Very clean and has everything you’ll need. 10/10

We were blown away with the location when we arrived for our stay, Deborah and Peter welcomed us on arrival and showed us around, talked to us about local restaurants and things to do (which there was also lots of information in a folder in the accommodation with even more suggestions of things to do in the area). They were super friendly and responded really quickly when we had messaged on the app prior to our stay and while we were there. The location was incredible; tranquil with a wonderful view of the sunrise, but close enough to lots of lovely villages, pubs and Berwick-Upon-Tweed. Inside the hut was immaculate, Deborah and Peter have really thought about everything you may need and more for your stay, and the layout was spacious and designed superbly. We would love to come and stay here again!
