Lindsey’s place was conveniently located to all of the attractions we planned to visit - Mt. Rushmore, Jewel Cave, and Custer State Park! Use of the Custer State Park pass was a really nice bonus! We enjoyed the upgraded kitchen and bathroom fixtures! Thanks for a great stay!

Our stay was absolutely perfect. We were there for the 2024 Buffalo Roundup and this place was just minutes away from the entrance we used! The cottage was very clean and accommodating! Jana and Paul were very responsive and cared about our thoughts on the place. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to our friends and family!

We had a lovely stay at Nancy’s home. The house was as advertised and was spotless. Nancy was extremely responsive to any of our inquiries and recommend activities and restaurants in the area.We would highly recommend staying here.

Diana and Joel were wonderful hosts and they were very responsive to all communication. They were also very helpful and accommodating. The property was great with incredible views. If we go back we would certainly consider staying there again. Great people! Thank you!

Our family of four loved our visit to Custer and Camp Cottonwood (I’m so glad we picked it over Keystone and Hill City)! The space and layout combined with the outdoors was perfect for relaxing as well as family time. The weather was sunny, the temp was 60s, and leaves had just peaked but were still beautiful. All main attractions were within 30 minutes (consider booking Jewel Cave and Cosmos ahead of your visit if you go to either). Main Street is a five minute walk. We especially enjoyed the small, organic grocery store and foodie restaurant Skogen Kitchen! Marci and Clay had it all buttoned up - both organized and friendly.

Such a beautiful place with the most peaceful setting! We will definitely be making a trip back out!

Stayed here with my husband and 1 year old daughter for a couple nights and we absolutely loved it. Great location super cute, well cared for, and very clean. Hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with. We definitely would stay here again if in the area.

Great place to stay in an awesome location. Everything was as described. Easy walking to the restaurants that were open in the early season, and great access to the area attractions. Would stay here again if we return.

Good location for everything in the hills. Some gravel roads to get to the property which makes it quiet and private. Joann was a very good host.

This exceeded our expectations! The room was clean, the surroundings beautiful, the bed comfortable! It was a shame we were only able to spend the night here. We want to come back to the black hills for a longer stay and are planning to stay here. An important note though: they advertise no wifi/tv (which makes sense, given the purpose of the location). This was fine for us — I personally loved the disconnect. But additionally your electronics data may be spotty. If you’re someone who needs music/tv/etc, just download it ahead of time, don’t count on streaming. You won’t be disappointed with this stay — definitely book it now! Quiet and peaceful with a backyard full of cotton-tail rabbits and the occasional deer. Safe neighborhood. We were hauling a trailer, and were able to leave the trailer while we took in some of the sights, and never once worried about. Clean,cute and would recommend.

This is a beautiful cabin just a few miles outside Custer. Perfect location for exploring the area. The cabin is clean, quiet, safe, roomy and very comfortable. The host is friendly, caring and has lots of great recommendations for the area. This place is a gem! We highly recommend staying here!

Highly recommend a stay at Linda’s. I am a 70+ senior citizen and had some concerns about the stairs. Linda alleviated my concerns and even carried the luggage upstairs for us. Her communication before and during our stay was outstanding and prompt. The apartment was comfortable and a welcomed retreat at the end of a busy day. The location was beautiful with forest backing up to the property. Linda’s is located several miles off Hwy 16 and is accessible via a well maintained gravel road. Look for deer at night! If I’m in the area again, would definitely plan on booking Linda‘s place.

What a great find! This place was in a beautiful location right outside of the main part of Custer and right down the road from Custer state park, Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore and only a short drive to many other amazing natural attractions. Sharee and Marvin are wonderful folks with their own rock shop, which was also a huge attraction for me! I had an entire little apartment to myself with a kitchenette, a comfy bed, a couch, a table, a few chairs and a great bathroom with instant hot water. There were plenty of extra linens if needed and all kinds of dishes, flatware and glasses/mugs. They provided all kinds of coffee, tea and hot chocolate, soap, shampoo, body wash and they even provided ice you could help yourself to for coolers. The place was clean, cozy and peaceful. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Black Hills. This area of the state was simply amazing in its natural beauty and this was a great value for me as a solo traveler.

We loved our stay here! Very clean rooms with nice bedding. Mark upgraded us to a nicer room which was very nice of him. The entire place was beautiful and everyone was welcoming.
