Felt fortunate to spend a couple of nights in this special home. The home is beautifully appointed and has everything you need. What really set it apart was the privacy and view. The best accommodations we had in Iceland.

Anna Erla’s home is perfect!! We had a little hiccup after checkin but we reached out and got things all sorted out quickly and with very little inconvenience. The location is incredibly peaceful, the views amazing. The home itself was fully furnished with all the essentials and even some extras!! We felt quite at home in the space.

Het huis ligt op een hoogte met prachtig uitzicht en wordt omgeven door land met relatief veel vogels. Veel plekken op Snaefellsnes zijn goed te bereiken. De laatste kilometers naar het huis zijn onverhard, maar een 4x4 is niet nodig. Er is een goed bed dat maar net in de slaapkamer past, de uitrusting is ruim voldoende. De wifi-gegevens op de site van Airbnb waren niet juist, maar stonden in het gastenschrift, dus dat was snel opgelost.

Wunderbare Unterkunft mit allem was man braucht. Ideal zum entspannen und um abzuschalten vom Alltag. Der Ausblick auf den See und in die Berge in Kombination mit absoluter Ruhe sind unbezahlbar. Vielen Dank für dieses Erlebnis!

Très joli chalet dans un beau cadre. L’accès un peu compliqué, la route n’est pas goudronnée. On s’est senti un peu isolé mais pour les voyageurs qui aiment la tranquillité, le calme, le logement est parfait. Dommage qu’il faille faire quelques kilomètres supplémentaires sur une route peu accessible. Logement très propre, grand lit.

We stayed at Sigursteinn and Maria's camper on our 3rd and 4th last night in Iceland, after traveling Ring Road for 2 weeks. The camper was VERY clean and we embraced being at the location. We had what we needed to cook (inside the camper and was able to grill outside) and kids enjoyed sleeping in the bunkbeds. Maria provided so many suggestions on what to do in the area and we really enjoyed listening to the history about the area. She gave very clear instructions on how to get to the camper. My family and I lucked out by seeing the Northern Lights right from our camper. We heard it was rare to see all the colors we did in late August. I can only imagine how amazing it would be to see the Northern Lights from this property after August. Thank you Maria and Sigursteinn!!

After extensive travel over the past five years, we can confidently say this is the best place we've ever stayed. Whatever makes a stay exceptional for you – cleanliness, comfort, privacy, or stunning scenery – this house delivers. The beautiful photos don't do it justice! This amazing house is in an absolutely gorgeous and accessible part of Iceland. We give both the house and Kristján, the host, our highest recommendation. We already miss Kolsstaðir!
