Off the main road approximately 1/10 of a mile with no traffic in front of the house. Beautiful backyard with a fire pit and grill, also corn hole for outdoor fun. Cozy getaway tucked into the coal mining "holler" of Cunard/Brooklyn, the Lucky Penny is just up the road from the Cunard New River Access as well as walking distance to several National Park trails. Get away from the city, experience a real WV neighborhood, have a campfire, enjoy the lovely mountain view and starry sky, and recharge. The heat pump keeps it cozy even in zero degree temps! (Bring some cozy socks though. =)

Cute 1-BR stone cottage close to NRG

When visiting the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, stay at this quaint stone cottage less than a mile off of Route 19 in downtown Oak Hill, WV. Things to Note: This little cottage has skylights upstairs, so light floods into this space from sunrise to sundown. Also, the mattress is firm. Finally, the hot water is provided via a tankless hot water heater, which has been known to cause water temperature variability.

We are minutes away from many of the major attractions in the area including: rafting companies (i.e. ACE and Adventures on the Gorge, and River Expeditions), hiking, shops, and restaurants. We are located within the city of Oak Hill so no crazy backroads or surprises : ) Relax on our back porch, around the firepit, or inside in the air conditioning after a great day of having fun! Richmond’s Meadow Creek Hideaway Cabin #5

Our fun sized Cabin #5 is 220 sf with a Queen bed, a full size futon mattress in the loft, a roll away bed, and the sofa makes a bed. We also have a living room, kitchen and bathroom with shower. The Cabin is fully furnished with lots of extras for you to enjoy inside and out. Open seasonally for rental April through October.
