The Old Rectory is in a beautiful location, surrounded by lush fields and nature. It’s a perfect place to stay for rambling holidays or just to relax. This original Victorian building was great to explore its grand interior. Caroline was a lovely host and was very welcoming throughout our stay. There was also a lovely dog called Sam that greeted us on arrival! Every morning a cooked breakfast was served at your requested time with fresh tea and coffee. The spread of granola and other cereals was a great addition. Just to note (from staying in the green room) the bathroom and toilet facilities are not attached to the room- instead you leave your room and walk down a hall to them but you are in your own private wing of the house.

Excellent room , so light and spacious. Tastefully presented and very cosy En-suite was spotless .

Clean, spacious, and comfortable I stayed for two nights in a two bed apartment with a colleague. Booking in at the main hotel reception was easy and simple. It’s a 5 star service from the moment you arrive until you leave the front door A little bit more costly, but you get so much more for your money than the norm.

Was a lovely hotel. Walkable distance to the shops and near a road full of restaurants and bars. A lovely bar within the hotel and breakfast was included ! :)

Wow. What an amazing host. Ahmed couldn’t have been more helpful to me and my friend instantly made us feel welcome was kind and funny. He went above and beyond for us. We came to Torquay to celebrate my birthday and had booked a stay at the Redcliffe Hotel, however once we got there we found there was no outdoor pool and that was the only reason we drove there. We got a refund and we had to find somewhere to stay quickly as it was already late afteroon; we found Debbie's guest house and immediately fell in love with it. I messaged Debbie to confirm we could go as it was so late and she replied immediately. When we got there we were greeted by Ian, who made us feel welcome and at home. He showed us around and was so friendly and chatty. We had a lovely stay, the room was so spacious, even had a mini fridge and the pool was amazing, just what I wanted! Both Debbie and Ian were always available and ready to give recommendations for attractions and food. Ian entertained us with some of his life stories and cooked us an incredible breakfast. I am grateful we found this guest house last minute, it made my birthday so special and we'd definitely go back!

Such lovely people who work there really enjoyed the stay the area around it was lush and the hotel itself was so beautiful definitely recommend staying there especially with there lovely pool and hot tub !!

Our stay at Debbie's was amazing. The room was exactly what we needed and it felt like home. We didn't have a chance to use the pool or the hot tub due to the weather, but I bet it would be great. Definitely recommending to visit her!

Peaceful, clean and luxurious. The perfect balance of modern luxury and traditional building, warm friendly staff and great atmosphere. Tastefully renovated bathroom and nicely furnished.

Had a great stay at Jacobs place, precise and easy check in. The room was spacious and clean, a nice kitchen space if you want a cuppa, and shops just around the corner
