The home was exactly as pictured, clean , and comfortable. The hosts were accommodating. We booked less than a week before we needed it and they treated us as if we’d been planning for months. The neighborhood was quite and the back deck was great to get some alone time away from the other guests.

This is a great house in Church Hill. It is a beautiful historic home with a comfortable homey feel. The lower level is large with plenty of room to visit, cook and entertain. The upstairs has three large bedrooms and two full baths. The location is close to some nice restaurants and coffee places. The neighborhood is great for walking. The host was helpful and very responsive - will rent this place again when I'm in Richmond if its available.

Samantha’s place is perfect for families with kids - we have family in Richmond and needed a place to stay nearby. The house was clean and thoughtfully decorated and furnished and had everything we needed, and Samantha was proactive in checking on how things were going and if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend her place!

Crystal’s house was everything we expected it to be, neat, clean and a little on the funky side. We were in town for a wedding and had our two children, their spouses and five grandchildren, all under 10. It was really nice to have a yard the kids could play in so they could burn off some energy. We would definitely recommend Crystal‘s house to friends.

Elisa was helpful & responsive right from the start. Her home was easy to find & in a wonderful, walkable neighborhood with everything you could ask for. It was a delightful experience & we look forward to future stays as our travel allows. Thank you for your part in making a great weekend!

Spent 2 weeks here with German Shepard, we loved the house, great setting, neighbors are very nice, we walked our dog and he loved all the deer & the overall setting. It’s quiet, house is spacious, clean & safe.Hosts are responsive and courteous.

This was our second stay at this house - very comfortable and convenient to all of the things to do in the Richmond area. Very nice, quiet, peaceful neighborhood. It will be our go to place to stay when visiting Richmond. Claude is an excellent host.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this stunning historic mansion in Richmond, VA for a long weekend wedding celebration, and it was nothing short of magical. Our group included the bridal party and parents. The home was the perfect backdrop for such a special occasion. The home is full of character and charm — perfectly blending vintage elegance with modern comfort. The spacious layout made it easy for everyone to have their own space, yet cozy enough for relaxing for friend/family time and wedding and bridal prep time, not to mention GORGEOUS photos.The weather even allowed us to enjoy quality poolside time) The host was incredibly attentive, responsive, and thoughtful. Kim and Paul literally responded within minutes (to even the silliest of questions) and were able to accomodate us arriving before check in time. I could go on and on and highly recommend this wonderful location for and friend/family getaway.

Nadine was a wonderful host - easy to communicate with, proactive, and responsive. The apt was spotless, and every furnishing and decoration was first class. Lots of little amenities (welcome basket with snacks and waters, drinks in the fridge, bedside chocolates, a few toiletries. etc) were a nice touch. The queen bed was perfect for us - quality mattress w/topper (my wife kept talking about how well she slept). Very quiet neighborhood, yet close to all the activities we planned. Private back patio was a fantastically landscaped oasis for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Plenty of easy street parking. Couldn't have asked for a better lodging.

The apartment/condo is just as described. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of pots/pans and everything else I use in my kitchen. That was a treat. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The home was quiet and easy to come and go from. There is an electric fireplace in the master bedroom which made the room so warm and cozy. The parking was perfect, right outside the door and we never had a problem getting a spot. Chandra’s communication was punctual and very helpful. Our stay was over the Christmas holiday and it was so festive as she had a beautiful little Christmas tree with lights and ornaments and a wreath on the door; it made our Christmas feel more like home since we had to travel. The place was wonderful and highly recommend to other guests.

Christine’s place was just as described. We loved the peacefulness of the neighborhood and easy access to nearby restaurants and coffee shops, all the light coming in from the windows, and the extra amenities (e.g. access to Apple TV, kettle/ tea, and nespresso machine/ nespresso pods, amongst other things). It was also incredibly clean. We’d love to stay again if we come back to Richmond.

Mary’s place is exceptional. The place is spotlessly clean, super comfortable and very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable long term stay. All of the fixtures, appliances, furniture and equipment seem brand new. The large bed is particularly comfortable with really nice bedding. The towels are luxurious. We enjoyed cooking in the very well equipped kitchen. Mary could not be any more responsive or helpful. She is obviously completely dedicated to ensuring that her guests have a great experience. We stay in a lot of Airbnbs all over the world. Mary’s place ranks up there with the very best of them.

Such great hosts! Their space is perfect for long stays, equipped with everything you could need. They are super responsive and were always so kind and helpful! Would love to stay again if I’m in the area.

I highly recommend Johnny's! What stood out to me walking into the unit for the first time is that Johnny seems to really care--he cares about your experience, he cares about offering a home and not just a place to stay, he pays attention to details, he cares about design and aesthetics. He seems to care from a place of valuing experiences and taking pride in his own work product, not because he's trying to sell something for reviews like so many Airbnbs these days (I've stayed in over 30 in the last two years). It was my first time in Richmond and while I considered staying in the Fan District, I am so glad I ended up at Johnny's. As it turns out, Richmond is sprawled out and I would have been driving irrespective of what neighborhood I was staying in and Johnny's was centrally located for everything I wanted to explore. I enjoyed my daily walks around the neighborhood, and there's a cute new bookstore and a bagel shop down the street. Johnny is also so easy to communicate with.

Arrived Friday evening- everything was ready and waiting. Very inviting and comfortable space. Kitchen was well-equipped and an open space. I am a fan of a firm mattress and soft sheets- slept soundly. Very secure! Would readily stay here in the Museum District again.

This place was WONDERFUL!!!! Clean, quiet, organized and comfortable. We had everything we needed for my husband and I to enjoy staying there in order to visit my extended family in Richmond. I was born and raised there but my left at age 23 though the rest of my family stayed in Richmond. The location at the airbnb was within walking distance of EVERYTHING!!! I would love to stay here from now on any time I am visiting family there....or even just to visit the VMFA as well as other places!
