Great place to stay if you are looking for a long weekend getaway. Perfect location for hiking and the house is beautiful. Has all the amenities necessary (minus an oven) for the perfect weekend. I suggest bringing all your own groceries from home as the grocery shops are limited there. Highly recommend not getting there when it’s dark as it’s a little more difficult to navigate the village.

The property is in a modern gated estate which is clean, private and secure. It is a very short short walk from the property to the HKUST (north) bus terminus for light buses, KMB buses and taxis, so has good transport links into the local towns of Po Lam and Hang Hau for local shopping or to connect to the metro lines into the city. The property itself is very spacious and all en-suite, with an additonal couple of guest toilets, and air conditioning is effective throughout. We needed a property with a good kitchen to cook our own meals due to dietary requirements, and the kitchen did not disappoint - it had all that was needed to cook meals for a family of seven. The only thing missing was a dish-washer, but that was a minor point. If arriving at the property by taxi, direct the driver to the back entrance to the estate on University Road (first entrance on the right). Would strongly recommend this excellent property and would not hesitate to stay again.

This beautiful home exceeded our expectations. Jean-Pierre and Dora are extremely proactive in making us feel welcome and were super helpful with whatever we needed. Their helper Charie is the warmest person you could ever ask for to greet you after a long journey. She is both available and discrete. The pictures on the listing do not do the house and the view justice. Highly recommended!

Polly’s beautiful home is a wonderful respite from our city homes. The house is adequately furnished with all the amenities you need, the beds are comfortable and the sounds of nature wakes you up in the morning. The kitchen is well furnished (stove,oven n microwave) should you be cooking your meals there. Communication with Polly is also fast and efficient. We would love to come back and stay again if the house is available.

I had a lovely stay at Fred's house. The place is very nice and quiet, situated in a lovely neighborhood next to the beach. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with everything you will need for cooking. I will highly recommend this place to my friends.

Amazing, relaxing and healing place would recomend to everyone to get away from the city

Our family of four had a great stay at Mark’s place. We had just come from a week of bustle in Kowloon so we really enjoyed the quite comfortable home in South Lantau island. The girls liked jumping on the trampoline and being close to nature. The beach was a short walk and really fun. We also had a lot of time to relax and enjoy ourselves. The beds were very comfortable and we slept incredibly well. Mark and Ara were exceptionally responsive and helpful for us. Much appreciated!

It was our 2nd time staying at Philippe’s place. And again we had a great time. Superbe location and facilities. We highly recommend it.

This apartment is gorgeous, and my fiancee and I had a fantastic time in Hong Kong. The apartment is very spacious for Hong Kong, and my fiancee and I had ample storage space during our 4 nights there. The apartment doesn't have much decoration, but the view of Kowloon and the harbor more than makes up: I'd wake up every morning and just stare out the window (and snap a couple pics). The building is super nice - doormen, marble floors, crystal chandeliers. The pool is a little tricky to get to (you have to swipe into the clubhouse - the first door to your right on the veranda) but is beautiful (just a note: signs will say the pool is closed even when it isn't; always check at the clubhouse just in case.) This is the nicest building I've ever stayed in, and the location is very convenient (about a 30-min walk from the harbor or history museum; right next to the Night & Jade markets, 15-min walk to subway and the bus to Stanley market or Aberdeen - plus a building shuttle to Kowloon station & the airport express). Eric was very easy to communicate with, and we had everything we needed during our stay. Highly recommended for a great experience!

Great residence in a great location!

Harvey is an excellent host. We felt well looked after, picked us up at the bus stop, showed us around the apartment, and was very accomodating with our three kids (aged 7, 4, 2). The place had two comfy double beds and a single bed, we managed to open our portable cot in the master room, Hong Kong style. There was enough space for the kids to move around, for us to do laundry and watch some Disney. The apartment complex is easy to reach, with a safe short walk (all indoor/ shopping mall) to the MTR station. It also has two play spaces, and a library for free. The gym, pool, and basketball court isn’t free but very convenient and well equipped. I can recommend Harvey and his place to anyone visiting Hong Kong with a family. Space is a premium in Hong Kong, and this apartment is further out, but still easy to get to, and feels very safe for families.

Very communicative host, clean and in my opinion large place (for Hong Kong). The transit options nearby are fantastic. Washer/dryer in unit is also really convenient, bed was comfortable, and the wifi is fast. Highly recommend!

L'hôte est très disponible, réactive, prévoit des cadeaux de bienvenue et est soucieuse de ses locataires. L'appartement bénéficie d'une vue superbe sur la baie de Hong-Kong, a un arrêt de bus à son pied et se trouve à 10 mn à pied (5 en bus) des commerces, restaurants, gare routière, etc...). L'appartement convient bien pour 4 personnes, à 5 c'est un peu juste et avec 6 personnes c'est vraiment trop.

Fantastic property we had a wonderful stay

Martin's apartment is fantastic! Rooms are very clean, facilities are complete, location is next to the mid-level escalator. I enjoyed this experience very much! Martin is very nice and hospitable host and he gave me lots of help! Excellent experience!

The terrace was such a luxury in urban Hk. Sadly some construction noise nearby stopped us from fully enjoying it. The place is spacious and well-equipped, and Louis was very accommodating. Thank you and will book again if there’s a chance!

I used to live nearby more than 10 years ago, so for me upper Mid-Levels has sentimental value. Federica's place really hit the spot, it's compact but has a nice outdoor terrace, it's a bit cluttered but has a lot of personality. It is rare these days to stay in a "real" Airbnb that is not a hotel flat. For those who love to cook Federica has tons of utensils and even an oven (rarity in HK)! The place is right on top of the Escalators and has great access to Central, a fun walk down to Admiralty via the botanical garden (do not miss!), and is walkable or tram-able to the Peak. There's plenty of food on the way up, from Alice pizza and Butao ramen, to One Dim Sum and CitySuper down in the IFC. I think the place has a lot of potential for those who seek to stay around a more cosmopolitan area and enjoy vibrant Hong Kong life.

Just what I needed for my stay, basic but everything worked. Water heater & aircon very good. Long time since I had a real Airbnb stay where I am a guest in someone's home, I really appreciate it. Thanks Anjil

Robert’s place was great, although was smaller than the photos appeared. As such my husband and I ended up having to move to a friend’s house and leave our two young adult children to stay alone ( which wasn’t a problem.) As 4 people in that tiny space would have been a real squeeze. The biggest problem that there had been a last minute problem with the kitchen which suddenly needed repair. As such it was shut off completely when my daughter arrived and she was told that the kitchen would not be able to be used. In such a tiny space, losing a whole kitchen was a big deal. It also meant that they had nowhere to go to store or prepare even the most basic of food. Robert was very good about it when I contacted him though and agreed to give us a sizable refund on our initial payment as compensation, which I thought was very fair. As such, I am still happy to give a positive review.

Excellent host, clean, great and convenient place to stay for our family of three.

The unit has a really huge living area by HK standards and we were pleasantly surprised - we could do a little dance practice on the area, and that's a superb luxury. Shower room was a little smaller but still amazing - the toilet seat and shower area are separated, which is, again, a luxury in HK. Everything was functional and location was great too. We arrived in HK at 12am midnight and was able to take a direct bus to a bus stop 5 minutes from the location. Would highly recommend Hebe's place! She's a nice person too!

We stayed for a few weeks. The neighborhood has endless eating + shopping options! Many grocery stores and an expansive fruit market. Easy access to the airport bus. The apt itself is large and a quiet oasis from the hustle of Nathan St and surrounding area. The walk up is four floors in a dirty stairwell; great for getting your heart pumping! Occasionally someone smokes in the stairwell - also not a big deal. If you like to work out, the Kings Rec Park is a short walk, or leave early morning and run to Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. We ended our stay only due to the prostitutes immediately outside the building front door who were there all hours of the day and night and raised many questions from our kids ages 5, 8, and 11. Who are those ladies? Why are they always there? Why are they dressed up? What are they waiting for? Etc. One lady was detained and arrested in front of our building as we exited. No overt crimes. HK is a safe city. We just decided to move elsewhere with the kids.
