The Bird's Nest - Cabin by the River

Located on one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, the Bird’s Nest is a brand new, custom built 800 square foot cabin featuring an open loft with king bed and skylights, steam shower, heated bathroom floor, and gas fireplace. Exterior amenities include a hot tub, gas grill, gas fire pit table, fire pit by the river, and private river access in a peaceful, wooded setting. Kayaks/tubes are available to use to float down the river with the unique ability to park/exit on the hosts’ property.

John Pope Cabin Browntown Va. We now have Starlink

Welcome to John Pope Cabin Nestled in foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, John Pope Cabin overlooks an open field where hawks hunt, bears sometimes stroll, and our neighbors’ horses peer over the fence. Feel free to pet them but don’t feed them! Built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War birthed and raised 11 children here. The cabin remains rustic, comfortable, and full of character. Ahh…the porch. Relax in the swing, watch the fields change with the light.

The Cottage

Need some time to refresh? Spending time in the foothills of the Skyline Drive at our cozy cottage may be for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome but not on furniture. The driveway is long and home is very secluded. Winter access will be subject to weather conditions. Driveway does not get plowed and gets rutty during rainy periods. Cell service is spotty on Browntown road. The cottage has a landline and wifi. Use your wifi calling feature for cell phone use. More info under photos.

The Little Green Cabin is a beautifully renovated riverfront retreat nestled along one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River between Strasburg and Woodstock—the perfect escape to relax, unwind, and enjoy the outdoors. INSIDE: Full kitchen, 4 beds, cozy furnishings, electric fireplace, Wi-Fi, and oversized windows and doors with plenty of natural light. OUTSIDE: Large screened-in deck, private river access, 2 fire pits, grill, picnic table, hammock, swing set, and horseshoe pit.

Come get away to our cozy guest cabin, just 10 mins from Shenandoah National Park and a 5 min walk to the Shenandoah River! Perfect for a peaceful stay in a gorgeous natural setting.
