Just booked in Asheville
Beautiful, inspiring and peaceful.
A peaceful retreat awaits you in the trees just outside of West Asheville's "locals" downtown! Walkable to Haywood Rd and all our excellent neighborhood restaurants, art and yoga studios, farmers market and pubs. Or you can borrow a bike from us and zip into town. Note: Our house is in a dense suburban residential neighborhood and not outside of town. We have neighbors on all sides but we are lucky that our house is in an urban forest that affords privacy. This is a quiet place to write and rest or just commune with the big oaks around your private deck. The studio apartment is below the main house which has its own entrance and outdoor space. Our family lives above and we are very respectful of your privacy. The studio is SMALL one room space (12x15) but well equipped with a hot plate, under counter fridge, small table and 2 chairs and a queen size bed. You have your own small bathroom with 3x3 shower and toilet. Bathroom sink is in kitchenette. A laundry room is right next door and is also available. If you are looking for an unique space that is peaceful and quiet but part of a vibrant creative community you will enjoy staying with us and we will enjoy hosting you!
West Asheville is the best! Quiet and neighborly, it's not like downtown Asheville with hotels and so many tourists but you can get there or the parkway or the Biltmore very quickly by car. Downtown, five minutes, everywhere else, ten minutes. We have our own downtown in West Asheville and there's many excellent restaurants and music venues within walking or biking distance.
  • Very accommodating and friendly hosts. Hope to return some time and thanks again!

  • This was a great place to stay. The location was ideal. It was close to town but the setting was peaceful and quaint. The accommodations were simple; we didn't need much. Jakub and Maria were very accommodating, which was much appreciated when dealing with flight delays and busy schedules.

  • My siblings and I booked this place for my parents as a Christmas present. They were absolutely in love with it. It is a small place, but plenty of space for just two people. It is also conveniently located near things in Asheville.

    Emily2015-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Super clean, an amazing view, and the coffee maker was much appreciated. Would love to stay again.

    John2013-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • The room was fantastic. Even better than I imagined. The afternoon I arrived was raining heavily and I was able to enjoy sitting outside at the covered porch with a hot cup of coffee and relax. The windows let in so much light and getting a cross breeze with the patio doors open was so pleasant. I didn't even need to have the heat on it was comfortable every day even though the temps varied a lot outside. There was plenty of space for my things, the bed was comfortable and the kitchenette had everything I needed for preparing some light snacks. In addition to the amazing architecture of the main house, I felt very welcome and secluded amongst the trees and birds. My only regret is I didn't get to meet my hosts and thank them in person for creating such a fun and restful space.

    Sean2016-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • The room is very private and offered a peaceful view of trees and a peek of the sunset with large windows and a nice deck. Close proximity to the Biltmore and downtown. The hosts had stocked coffee, spices, tea and honey. Very nice touch.

  • Fantastic.

Located along the Swannonoa River only 12 minutes from downtown Asheville, this quaint space is a perfect getaway for a romantic weekend or a personal retreat. Jacuzzi tub for two, private wooded porches w/hammock, and swing make this a sweet mountain getaway.
Relax on the hammock and enjoy the sounds of the river on the porch swing. The comfortable, private porch is the perfect place for reading, relaxing, and enjoying an afternoon beverage. Enjoy a Jacuzzi tub for two and wind down. The studio is accessed through a private entrance with private parking and features a queen size bed and a queen size sleeper sofa, flat screen tv with Netflix and Hulu streaming services, DVD player, fridge, coffee maker, tea kettle, and microwave. Coffee, tea, and chilled water are provided. Studio is stocked with care. Books, games, and art supplies for a creative and relaxing vacation. The property is located in a house perched in the trees--ideal bird watching and spotting wild turkeys, river otters, blue herons, beavers, ducks, and the occasional black bear. The river is only accessible via a short walk across the street and down the riverbank. Please note that while actual treehouses are amazing, this is a "treehouse," meaning a studio within a house in the trees! We just want to be clear.
This east Asheville neighborhood is a gorgeously wooded, private refuge with easy access to Asheville's best spots. 12 minutes to Downtown Asheville 3 minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway 5 minutes to Warren Wilson College 15 minutes to Bilmore Estate Creekside Tavern, Filo Bakery, MoJo Coffee Truck, Pomodoro's, and the world's best taco truck are only minutes away on Asheville's eastside. Our neighborhood is a quiet, residential locale. Our priority is to respect our neighbors. You'll often find kids and pups navigating our winding neighborhood roads. It is essential that all guests drive slowly and carefully!
  • We had a wonderful time on our honeymoon! Thank you so much for letting us stay!

    Mackenzie2017-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our host was kind, social, and very helpful. Once we got there she was there to show us the place, and man the place was perfect. Loved the setting and look. The jacuzzi was awesome. I also got a chance to check out Asheville, and heather gave us such awesome spots to see. Honestly one of the best trips in while. We had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV with netflix, and board games. We really enjoyed her book of places to check out in Asheville, and her suggestions were on point. We would definitely visit again and stay at the 'Treehouse'! Thanks Heather!

  • My boyfriend and I brought our dog to Heather's studio. We stayed for 3 nights and could not have imagined a more perfect experience for our first time in Asheville! Heather was an amazing host. She was quick to respond, offered great suggestions for hiking, activities, restaurants, and places to get drinks in the area. The electricity went out a couple times, which she explained had never happened; she was super quick to fix the issue and got it all figured out in a timely manner and was extremely friendly and welcoming during the entire stay. She also sent a message with directions through the neighborhood and how to access the home which were very helpful! Overall, Heather helped make the experience as perfect as it was. The studio was absolutely perfect! It was located in a beautiful, secluded area in the mountains which made a perfect romantic, getaway for us. Yet, it was only a 12 minute drive to downtown which made it convenient to explore the local restaurants and shops. The studio was very clean, beautifully decorated, and extremely accommodating for any activities that one could want. There were movies and games in the studio. The patio and Jacuzzi tub were perfect for unwinding and relaxing after a long day of hiking.

    Jessie2015-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Heather was a great host. I loved all the little hospitality treasures inside the apartment (a binder full of attraction and dinner recommendations), toiletries, water, and coffee. We had a wonderful stay at the Treehouse Studio.

    Ginny2015-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Heather's place is an awesome place to stay if you want to explore Asheville and the surrounding area but stay somewhere that you feel is just your own and away from the business of the city and more out in nature without camping. It's the perfect location for doing lots of different outings and activities. It's about 15-30 minutes away from anywhere you would want to do - Biltmore, downtown, hiking, white water rafting, etc. The studio itself is ADORABLE. Heather has done a wonderful job with the decor and making the space look beautiful. We loved how there were games and puzzles to play with, books to read, and a fridge and microwave to make your own meals if you wanted to. Our favorite aspect of the apartment though was the jacuzzi tub. Relaxing in the tub was the perfect way to unwind after an active day. We loved staying here and highly recommend it!

  • Everything about this listing was spot on! We had a great time and everything we could have thought of was already handled. The Treehouse was clean and it had every commodity needed for the stay. Its location was perfect, it was really easy to access all parts of the city and it was even closer to the Blue Ridge pkwy. Our host was always available to help with questions we had but also allowed us a lot of privacy. I highly recommend this listing!

    Timothy2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect! My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary and this couldn’t have been a better pick. Heather was super thoughtful, quick with responses and her place was awesome. Definitely would come back again! Highly recommend.

    Courtney2018-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I enjoyed staying at Heather’s place. It was perfectly tucked away and had all of the amenities we needed and then some. Heather was extremely personable and offered great advice on local things to check out. Our only complaint was the amount of noise that came from upstairs. It was extremely loud late at night and early in the morning making it very difficult to sleep. It sounded as if they were going to stomp through the ceiling and one night all we could hear was a baby crying for hours. Not exactly what you want to hear on a relaxing getaway. 😕

The best of both worlds! Quiet, secluded country cottage only six minutes from downtown Asheville. Sip your morning coffee on a private brick patio surrounded by large trees and singing birds. Enjoy easy access to West Asheville's restaurant scene. If you'd rather have your own private porch and deck with great views of the surrounding trees, check out our upstairs unit. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1950593 Please read the HOUSE RULES before booking. Most importantly, we only have parking for ONE CAR per unit, and only allow two people maximum per unit, no exceptions! (If you have an extra car you'll have to leave it in a parking garage downtown.) This private apartment is the ground floor of our our cozy gated home at the end of one lane gravel road. We live in the little house in the backyard. In front of our house is the Crown Plaza golf course and mountain bike trail. The apartment is fully furnished, including a fully equipped kitchen with a full fridge, microwave, four-burner stove & oven, a coffee maker, a toaster and a blender (perfect for breakfast smoothies!) It includes Wireless Internet, off street parking for one car, complimentary coffee and tea. All linens and towels provided. We also provide shower gel, shampoo and hair conditioner so you don't have to pack these bulky items! Electric heating with two separate thermostats keeps the apartment at an optimum comfortable temperature. A window air conditioner unit is provided in the summer months. The bathroom has a custom-tiled double shower with glass doors, underfloor heating (great for keeping your toes warm!) and plenty of storage for your toiletries. The apartment is not suitable for children as it is not childproofed. The bed is a queen size. We are surrounded by trees and wild spaces, which makes it perfect for the wildlife that live here. We have raccoons, opossums, red foxes, woodchucks, chipmunks, squirrels and the occasional coyote. Our bird-friendly yard is home to over 20 different species of birds including a resident pair of red-shouldered hawks and a screech owl family. Our house is only 45 minutes away from the Cataloochee valley in the Smoky Mountains National Park. The valley is known for its elk and black bear population. The east side of the Smokies is great as it is less touristy than further west. It is a great place for a day trip! Enjoy the benefits of living close to Downtown and recharge your batteries in our tranquil home.
  • What a magical 24 hours we had at Cristina and Hal's retreat! It is a lovely and cozy small apartment with a comfortable living area that has a full kitchen setup with small table. The bedroom is similarly comfortable with a modern bathroom. And Cristina and Hal are easygoing and have thought of everything - from fresh flowers from their yard to milk for your coffee to shower gel and shampoo. A small table and chairs are just outside on a porch area. Cristina and Hal live upstairs, but the entrances are totally separate so very private. Wished we could have stayed for a week rather than a day! Location in West Asheville is about 10 minutes or so from everywhere. We plan to return for another getaway.

    Andrew2014-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about the space lived up to our expectations. It felt quiet, secluded and comfortable, while still being close to everything we wanted to do. Cristina and Hal were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area.

    John2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Immediately upon arrival (after a 10 hour drive), Cristina and Hal made us feel right at home. The unit is adorable, extremely clean, and well equipped to make your stay comfortable, from coffee and tea to extra towels. We loved coming back after exploring to our humble little abode. It's the perfect distance from downtown, and just a hop, skip and a jump away from West Asheville restaurants & bars. Cristina and Hal are such friendly, excellent hosts. They always had restaurant suggestions ready for us, and happily chatted with us about our trip, their perfectly manicured front lawn, and their handsome cat, Scamper. This was our first Air BnB experience, and it could not have gone better. No hesitation - this place is an absolute must for your trip to Asheville!

    Samantha2016-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • The nicest studio apartment we've stayed in through Airbnb. It felt like home away from home. Christina and Hal are very hospitable and happy to give any help with you travel plans around Asheville.

    Michael2014-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • As cute and cozy as it is in the pictures! Immaculate. I was arriving late and they left lights on for me. Great communication through the booking process and while I was there. Appreciated the organic coffee and organic creamer, and their intentions behind composting. I wish that my trip hadn't been so full of work appointments and I could have spent more time relaxing in this nature lover's retreat. Will definitely be recommending it to others visiting Asheville.

    Carrie2014-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience! Cristina and Hal communicated with us perfectly, and the place was just perfect! The apartment and private patio are very clean and quiet, and it feels very private since it's tucked back in the woods. Would definitely stay again!

    Allen2014-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our first time using airbnb and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Hal greeted us when we arrived and showed us the beautiful downstairs unit. It was super clean and the bed is nice and comfortable! Also, the shower was amazing! We loved how we felt like we were in a secluded area, but we were only ten minutes from downtown and anywhere else we wanted to go. This is the only place we will ever stay in Ashville! Thanks Hal and Cristina!

SparkleBark Farm offers our open air guest cabin to those who want the comfort of a bed while enjoying the same breezes, wild flowers, fireflies, and early morning mist that you'd have while camping. Just a 15 minute drive away from downtown Asheville, NC.
Sparklebark Farm is a small-scale organic farm and homestead. For the past four years Zac and Bea, the owners, have been collaborating with a revolving cast of incredibly talented friends to make this land a model of sustainability, as well as natural and artistic beauty. We grow a ton of vegetables as well as flowers and keep flocks of free range chickens and ducks. Bea is a fine artist who makes beautiful nature-based drawings (check out her (email hidden)), and Zac is a builder and woodworker who has been pouring his heart into beautifying and constructing buildings and infrastructure at Sparklebark. Our vision is to continue to steward and beautify the land through agriculture as well as art, we are so excited to share this little slice of paradise!
Our neighborhood is the nearby mountain range. We live on seven acres of land, and rarely see or hear our neighbors. Sometimes if the wind is blowing the right way, you can hear the laughter of the children who live on the other side of the valley. We enjoy the rural setting but can be at any location in Asheville in under 15 minutes and on the blue ridge parkway or deep in the woods in 20!
  • Beautiful property with extraordinary views of nature and surrounding mountains. Wonderful hosts and fantastic property. A relaxing getaway on the verge of camping in a luxurious homey setting. Great recommendations and accommodations. Will be back!

    Chadwick2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • My fiance and I had a great stay at Sparklebark! It was hot during our stay so the ceiling fan is a huge plus. If you enjoy nature and camping but want to do something a step above that then I highly recommend this adorable cabin with a beautiful view.

    Alyssa2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Sparklebark was fantastic! We loved the secluded experience and the hosts were fabulous. Zac provided us some excellent recommendations and the cabin was in the perfect location- close to downtown but removed from it all. Everything was clean and all the necessities were available- plus some extras like water and a French press! We also loved the outdoor shower! Thanks for a great stay!

    Rachel2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect getaway stop for us on our family wedding weekend. The most beautiful compost toilet house and lovely screened in room for sleeping. Our hosts were very nice and we barely saw them (a good thing for us). I recommend this to folks who are okay with the rustic side of things. Weaverville is a great a nice small town with a great bakery and a couple of good restaurants. Nicely distanced from the Asheville scene but close enough!

    Becky2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sparklebark is a literal dream! My husband and I spent our anniversary here, and we couldn't believe how lucky we were to find this place. The walk to our cabin took my breath away, such a beautiful garden and view! Our cabin was the perfect size and the bed was so comfy. The outdoor shower and compostable toilets were easy and fun to use, and also a work of art! You can tell how much care and love went into the creation of this entire place. Zac, Beatriz and Santiago are amazing and friendly hosts with wonderful ideas for places to eat and hike around the area, and even shared some of their freshly grilled garden veggies with us one evening. There are two other places to stay on their property and we are excited to bring friends with us next time we go! (Yes, we are definitely coming back!!) This area feels so rural, it's so quiet and green...but the drive into downtown Asheville is only about 15 minutes away. This location is perfect for someone wanting to experience the downtown food & beer scene in the Asheville area and take in the beauty of the NC mountains. Thanks for memories, Sparklebark!

    Laura Beth2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We visited Sparklebark last year and had an amazing time in the Romantic Bus in the forest; somehow, this visit was even better! We tell everyone about Sparklebark Farms, and we'll tell the whole internet, too. It's an Asheville area diamond in the rough. If you are a camper, a glamper, or a lover of artisanal excellence, you will not be disappointed with your experience. The natural beauty of the farm is highlighted through Zak and Bea's functional art and attention to detail.

    Sarah2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Sparklebark was the ideal stay for a cozy mountain getaway. It is nestled in the mountains, but still about a 10 min drive into downtown Asheville. The open screen Windows make you feel like you are lodging in the trees, but the ameniments that are provided make you feel as if you are staying in a cozy resort. It is the perfect mixture. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

    Leah2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts Zac and Beatriz were extremely nice people; my girlfriend and I were very happy to have met them. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. My only regret was not staying there for a longer time! Everything about their description was accurate and was better than we could have expected; and it was in a very nice and pleasant location. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience we had during our stay as well as the hosts themselves and my girlfriend and I will definitely be returning as soon as possible!

Come escape to our tiny modern off grid cabin situated in the middle of our private 125 acre gated mountain top property backing up to Pisgah National Forest. Enjoy soaring views, proximity to hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and sleep in a comfy bed...just 25 minutes to downtown Asheville! All dogs are welcome!
Wake up to a breath taking mountain view amidst the trees! Hike our nearby trail along the creek or drive 4 miles to the top of mount pisgah and hike along the blue ridge parkway! You can be in downtown Asheville in 25 minutes to enjoy all the amazing food, breweries, and art galleries. The cabin has a comfortable queen size bed, a propane 2 burner cook stove, solar generator to plug in cell phones and lap top (if there is sun!), Verizon cell phone service available, a water cooler for drinking and washing, propane heater if its cold, and a very clean outhouse. There is an outdoor shower fed by our rainwater collection system that is open seasonally April-October. As a back up shower, we have a solar shower (5 gallon shower bag) you can use year around as needed. Attached to the cabin is a very clean porta potty with mountain views that is emptied weekly. We have an outdoor fire pit for making s'mores and cooking- bring your own firewood or buy some from my neighbor. The glass garage door on the front of the cabin opens to beautiful mountain views (it has a roll down bug screen). The cabin is heated by a propane heater during the winter. You will need to bring your own cooler with ice in it (there is no fridge) and your own towels for bathing. Linens will be provided. Basic cook ware, tea pot and coffee press are provided. We leave a couple 5 gallon jugs of water for you to drink and wash dishes in. There are 2 chairs and a fold out table. We provide some board games and books. We love dogs and know how hard it is to find a place that allows them to come on vacation with you! Potty trained, well behaved dogs of any size are welcome! Bring their crates and beds. They will need to be left in a crate if left indoors without you there. Can't find the dates you want? We just finished a new cabin! Click here to see our other off grid property. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/21102715?s=51
The proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and all the hiking trails nearby make this neighborhood special!
  • I LOVED this adventure! I surprised my husband for our 7yr anniversary. Absolute perfection! The fire pit was a great ending to our “off the grid” experience. The outdoor shower is great. The cabin had everything we needed to cook breakfast/dinner, coffee, etc. The cabin was welcoming to Beau (my pup) as well. Haley has definitely thought of everything. We had the garage door open most if not all of the time. Bugs not a problem and the ladybugs were a nice welcome. I will definitely be back. • Hikes: Graveyard Fields hike is a must. Upper and Lower Falls is scenic and beautiful. So many and those were two of our favs. • Inglés Grocery: about 15min away. Has a Starbucks! And everything you need. • for my runners: you can get a pretty good workout by running the hills to and around the cabin. Thank you Haley for being a badass host and sharing this beautiful place with the rest of us!

    Toni2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Haley's cabin was perfect in every way + was one of our favorite Asheville stays so far! The view is unbeatable and the space is clean and peaceful. Really a wonderful home-base for us on our stay. We couldn't have been happier. Showering on the deck was A++!!

    Mel2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! There needs to be more places like this. If you're looking for a dope place to stay with incredible atmosphere, unique construction, and privacy, HERE IT IS! Tip: bring a coller if you want to keep cold food.

    Caleb2017-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • I just finished a 5,002 mile road trip and stayed in a variety of places. I can honestly say that Haley's cabin was THE best spot on our trip! The cabin was clean, the bed was comfy and the view from bed in the morning...wow

    Harmony2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is as beautiful as the pictures, completely serene and secluded, spotless and cozy - a perfect little getaway. I was impressed with how thoughtfully this place has been designed (with guests in mind), and how great Haley was as a host - everything we needed and wanted to know was clearly and quickly communicated, and Haley kindly checked in to make sure everything was okay. Wish we could've stayed longer!

    Persia2018-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! Haley's place is wonderful. The girls especially loved the outdoor rainwater shower and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. It's peaceful and beautiful. Looking forward to our next visit!

    Danielle2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was the absolute best AirBnB stay we have ever had! The little cabin was the perfect retreat for the two of us to unplug and recharge. Haley did a great job with instructions, recommendations, and all around was a fantastic host. This is our new go-to ANY time we are looking to get out of town.

    Morgan2017-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great find! Beautiful secluded location right outside of Asheville and so many hiking spots. Perfect last minute Valentine's Day get a way with fiancé and pup. Clean space, everything you need, simple living, incredible views to wake up to, very friendly/well communicated hosts. Pictures don't do it justice ❤ love.

  • The stay at Urban Oasis was perfect! Cozy and quiet apartment just down the street from fun shops and delicious restaurants in West Asheville. The apartment was well-stocked and very clean. Our favorite part was the hot tub facing the woods, so relaxing. Plus, an Uber to downtown Asheville was quick and cheap, so we were able to experience the best of both worlds.

  • David and Melissa were great! They responded to any issues/questions I had immediately and their space was just as advertised. I would definitely recommend it.

    Lindsay2015-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot. Nice hot tub to end the day with. So many little bars, restaurants, breweries to hit up in walking distance.

    Nelson2015-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa and David were welcoming in advance and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. They even "went the extra mile" in mailing us at item we accidently left behind. Their home is comfortable and in a great location for accessing West Asheville and downtown. Although the hot tub is a great attraction, we found ourselves so engaged in "experiencing" Asheville that we didn't have time to use it.

    Ann2015-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Urban Oasis was a great place to call home for a few days in West Asheville. The apartment was clean and well appointed. The hot tub overlooking the backyard and wooded area behind the house was a nice touch. There are several bars and restaurants as well as shops and artists' studios within walking distance and it's a short drive or Uber ride to downtown.

    Elliot2015-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely time in this hidden gem! Coming from a big city this is the perfect get away. This place is close enough to everything but just far enough to have your own private space. We loved the hot tub and wall of beautiful green forest! Thank you David and Melissa!

    Bazil2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • David and Melissa's place was fantastic ! It was right off Haywood Road which is steps away from West Asheville and a couple minutes drive to downtown. The hot tub was amazing in the evening and mornings. The kitchen is spacious and great to cook in. But I think our favorite part was the outdoor firepit

Quiet country life in a private community, just minutes from downtown Asheville. We have a small herd of sweet, friendly miniature goats which would love your attention. We often have kids (baby goats) too. Come for the fabulous hiking, the award winning restaurants, and a little goat therapy too.
Contemporary studio apartment, suitable for one person or a couple (one double bed). Living room with flat-screen TV (DVD player and Roku) and wireless internet provided, bedroom area with very comfortable double bed (all linens provided), fully stocked kitchen large dorm size refrigerator and separate small freezer, bathroom with shower. 7 miles or 10 minutes from downtown Asheville in east Asheville. 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and awesome hiking spots. We are situated in a 3-home private eco-community in the mountains right outside the city (Asheville). We have small dairy goats, vegetable gardens and live a quiet sustainable country life with Asheville's nightlife, restaurants, theaters, and fantastic hiking only a short 10 minute drive away. Studio apartment is very private with separate parking and private patio overlooking trees, goats pastures, and cow pastures. We are in the country outside Asheville (but only 7 miles)-- buses don't run out here so it's important to have your own transportation. We don't use cable TV anymore but have endless entertainment on Roku-- we have subscriptions for Netflix and HuluPlus and Amazon Video for both movies and TV shows. We have self-check-in and instant booking available. IMPORTANT: We have a lovely sweet labrador retriever, who is a rambunctious and super friendly 7 year old, and two cats. If you are afraid of dogs or don't like them, you should probably consider something else. Animals are NOT permitted in the studio apartment. Also, the goat area is fenced in with high voltage electric wire to keep predators out. Inside the goats pen, feel free to play with the goats! They are very friendly.
  • Nice and private, clean and perfect for what we needed.

  • Julia is an exceptional host. She is responsive, genuinely warm, and resourceful and addressed any questions that came up during my stay. She is generous in spirit and practically helpful too, providing useful information in personal conversation and tips about what to see in Asheville. I whole-heartedly recommend her fully equipped studio apartment, especially for those seeking sanctuary in the beginning and/or end of the day, as the birds and crickets provide a natural soundtrack in the lovely, small eco-farm environment. But I especially love the goats and chickens who are curious, approachable animal friends. The goat milk is out of this world delicious. A sweet stay. An excellent host. Unique experience.

    Anna2015-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a quiet and scenic place to stay, but still within easy driving distance of downtown Asheville, then Julia's studio apartment is the way to go. The apartment was clean, cozy, well appointed and exactly as described in the listing. My wife and I enjoyed hanging out with the goats and Milo, Julia's dog, couldn't be more friendly. Julia was a fantastic host, kind and accommodating to me and my wife. This apartment is the place to stay if you are a lover of animals and want to be somewhat off the beaten path, but still relatively close to all the shopping, restaurants, breweries and bars that Asheville has to offer!

    Matt2016-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Julia was a wonderful hostess. The little studio apartment was the best. The kitchen was totally equipped for a meal preparation. We wanted for nothing!! Julia was such a delight and so, so interesting! We loved her dog, Milo who was very well behaved. Would stay with Julia in a New York minute!

    Nancy2013-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Loved Julia's home--the studio is clean, updated and full of light. Our bed and pillows were more then comfy! Stayed 5 nights with my sister and we were always glad to return ' (Website hidden by Airbnb) the sweet pygmy goats, the cows just thru the trees, and Milo the ever playful lab. Julia is very hospitable and shares all sorts of information if one is interested. I fell in love with the goats. Hope to see them and Julia again one day.....

    Michele2013-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I can't say how much we loved staying here. I was nervous that the reviews wouldn't live up to the hype, but they did! It's very clean and well kept, in a beautiful setting. The goats might not be for everyone, but my wife and I thought they were one of the highlights of our trip. Julia is also full of information about restaurants and great hiking places. HIGHLY recommended!

    Jacob2014-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our 1 week stay at Julia's studio. It's very comfortable, and conveniently located just a few minutes outside of town. Julia is an excellent host. I highly recommend staying here. We plan on booking her place again in the near future.

    Doug2013-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • My partner & I absolutely loved our stay in Julia's eco-cottage. We loved the modern style big time. The bed is super cozy and the kitchen had everything I needed. Netflix on the Roku was an awesome plus. Julia's definitely a professional airbnb host and we appreciated her attention to detail (such as a list of nearby shopping, laundry mats, etc.).

Albemarle Park is one of the best craftsman neighborhoods in America, (Grace Kelly's apartment; shooting locations for Last of the Mohicans). • Manley was super friendly and very easy to work with! There were plenty of hand-written notes around the place to show you what to do. The locations was great--a very quick uber ride to downtown. I'd definitely stay here again when I return to Asheville.

    max2016-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great time! Manley is a chill guy, super friendly and welcoming. House is very comfortable and good value. Easy to come and go as you please. Very roomie

    Ted2015-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Manley's home is absolutely lovely and is very close to downtown Asheville. He was so kind to us throughout our weekend, even giving us a ride or 2 into town, building an awesome bonfire, and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. He is very laid-back with great energy and a very sweet dog to boot!

    Helen2016-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Manley was a great host, very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable! His place is clean, convenient, comfortable and spacious. We really enjoyed chatting with him and staying at his house. We pretty much had a perfect long weekend in Asheville!

    Robert2015-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, secluded & quiet with shade trees yet close to downtown. Manley is a personable host.

    Michael2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Manleys home - a quick walk to downtown, plenty of space, and a great spot. It is an old home so can be a bit drafty but they had many space heaters for us to use. Admittedly we spent most of or time out and about but the house was a nice place to land after a day of activity.

    Lauren2016-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at this location and would recommend for anyone traveling to the Asheville area! The owner was super responsive and available to answer any and all questions, which was great for me as a first time airbnb user. Quiet and lovely neighborhood and it was easy to access and get anywhere. The space itself is charming and feels like home immediately. I will be booking again soon here based on my experience!

    Kathleen2016-08-01T00:00:00Z

The "rad pad" is a 600 square foot open, airy, modern nest just two blocks off of funky West Asheville's Haywood Road. Our neighborhood is HIGHLY walkable with tons of restaurants, coffee shops and other goodies just a short walk away! We offer safe and secure off road parking directly above your abode. We'd love to have ya...p.s. we've been "superhosts" every quarter since we made our space available to our lovely guests.
One huge studio with milk stained wood ceiling and large beams, shower with floor to ceiling subway tile, concrete floors throughout, kitchenette with coffee maker, mini fridge and toaster oven (not that you should eat in while you're here, but maybe you need to heat up those left overs?). The bathroom has two specific areas, a shower area with sink and nice table for toiletries and another space with the toilet and another sink, with drawers for clothing or toiletries. The bed is a super comfy queen with down pillows and comforter. We also provide slippers and robes for our guests to feel like the kings and queens you are! Please enjoy the front porch/stoop of your pad and the provided chairs, too!
West is BEST! West Asheville is where most of the artists in this city live, as well as an eclectic mix of other vibrant people. We're a middle class neighborhood with a touch of grit and a whole lot of revival.
  • We loved our stay at Meg's urban oasis! It was a perfect location- we were able to walk downtown and enjoy all the fun Asheville has to offer. We forgot to bring coffee, but Meg had some available for us as well as a treat in the fridge! She was a great host and gave us several ideas for fun and good eats. I'd definitely recommend her spot for your Asheville getaway!

    Lauren2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Communication with Meg was super easy and we had no issues with arrival. The place was very clean and we loved the neighborhood--great restaurants just a walk away! Meg was super friendly and checked in on us during the stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Asheville.

    Kristen2016-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough about the place. The house was well built and beautifully decorated, which added much local charm you'd never find in a hotel. We were also welcomed with a warm note and a small gift. From beginning to end this stay exceeded expectations.

    Ben2015-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Urban Oasis is a stunning studio and thoughtfully appointed. You can't beat the location, it is on a very quiet residential street, a five minute walk to the top of the street and you are at The Admiral and from there you can easily walk the West Village. If you are of the mind, you can walk to downtown and to the Arts District. Don't miss stopping at The Hole on the way in for donut and coffee, made to order, they are the tops. Homeward beyond you can take a break at Urban Orchard Cider. Meg is the perfect airbnb host - great communication and has created a unique property/experience.

    Josephine2015-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying at the urban oasis! The place was neat and clean and Meg even left us some beverages in the fridge. The home was convenient, close to shops and restaurants yet remained a couple of blocks away to allow for peace and quiet. We look forward to visiting again!

    Ryan2015-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Meg's place. It is a beautiful space, with an amazing shower, comfy bed and plenty of room. Meg was a great host, very friendly and helpful. Her spot is just two blocks from the main road in W Ashville, making it a great spot.

    Creighton2015-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the urban oasis was really nice. The place is super cute and clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately we didn't discover the space heater until the morning, (which is under the kitchen sink) but other than that it was a great stay.

    Rachel2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • There really aren't words to describe how perfect Meg's place truly is. Everything about this place made our stay in Asheville infinitely better. The neighborhood was so cute and located in a really cool part of town that felt like where the locals hung out but was just a short 5-10 min ride downtown. The actual apartment is stunning and no pictures can do it justice. Our jaws dropped when we walked in and saw the 15 foot ceilings for the first time. Everything in this apartment is immaculate - the furnishings, the design -- we just didn't want to leave! The bed is super cozy and the shower is awesome and very big. Parking was also very easy and so was the check in and check out process. Meg and Alisa also couldn't be more nice and welcoming and Meg kept in touch with us the entire time and gave us great recs throughout our stay. And just to show how wonderful of a hostess she is, Meg went out of her way to get us an iron and ironing board when we asked if the apartment had one. Definitely the best Airbnb experience we've ever had. We will be recommending Meg's place to all of our friends!

  • All around wonderful rental! Location is excellent! You are close to shops and restaurants but tucked away in a peaceful serene hideaway. The space is packed with charm and Paul thought of everything! Coffee and tea selections for a chilly morning, clean linens, even body wash and other shower essentials if you forgot anything. Loved our stay!

    Samantha2018-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I could not say enough wonderful things about this airbnb or our stay. Paul was incredibly warm and kind and was extremely quick to respond to messages. He gave us a quick and easy tutorial on using the wood burning stove (which was amazing by the way!!) and even let us meet one of his super cute puppies! The home itself was so adorable and unique and truly the cutest and coziest place we've stayed in thus far. The bed was so comfortable and warm and we slept like rocks after a rough night of camping the night before! Just an incredibly unique and cool experience overall and we cannot wait to go back when we get back up to Asheville! Thank you for everything Paul, it was perfect and your hospitality was so greatly appreciated!!

An adorable, romantic, Moroccan influenced getaway close to downtown and walking distance to West Asheville's restaurants and shops. This cottage sanctuary is truly a three-dimensional piece of art, with exquisite architecture and artistic touches. Quiet street and family neighborhood. Queen bed upstairs and single reading/sleeping loft downstairs. Three blocks to Carrier Park, two miles to the River District, and a short stroll to Owl (amazing bakery)
Your own cottage in the heart of East West Asheville. River Arts district is 5 minutes away by car. Unique two-story cottage built by two designers in West (Website hidden by Airbnb) looks and feels like a house you may find in Morocco or Majorca . It's only four years old , but built to look like an old villa. Heating and air conditioning, ceiling fan above bed. 100 % cotton bedding and throws are throughout the house. Walking distance to Haywood Rd. Pizza Mind, Owl Bakery, Hole Donuts, Short Street Cakes, The Apple Orchard Cider house, Walk and my favorite for dinner, The 5 star restaurant The Admiral or more casual Bim Beri Bon. Villagers is across the street from Owl. They carry a unique selection of books on homesteading, fermenting, herbs and gardening along with interesting home goods such as local pottery and cutting boards. Two cats, Rue (gray) and Gingko (black) live on the property and sometimes wander around the cottage door looking for an ear scratch. Chickens also live on the south side of the property. Cats and dogs live in my house- the blue one.
Mostly bungalows, friendly, low key, walk big distance to Haywood Road's restaurants and Carrier Park. The Admiral, Owl Bakery, Villagers ( home goods) and Bim Beri Bon are all above average.
  • Mermaid Cottage is even more charming than the pictures and description would suggest. Camille was a perfect host - friendly, helpful and pleasant. The Cottage was well stocked with organic and natural kitchen essentials, chemical free cleaning supplies and toiletries, and even several essential oils for varying uses. We did make the mistake of putting our dog's food bowl down right by the door, and that brought in some ants, but once we cleaned that up (and moved her bowl), we didn't have any more problems. Camille was planning to put down some natural insect deterrent after we left for the day, so that helped. If you're looking for an artistic, Bohemian vibe in your rental that captures the very spirit of the city you're visiting, look no further than Mermaid Cottage. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as we did.

    Courtney2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Mermaid Cottage is great! We were looking for something completely different than a standard hotel room, and this was it. The split levels made it feel bigger than it is, with plenty of room for us and our dog. There are interesting, unique touches all over the place, and the reading nook above the dining table is perfect. Camille was a great host, everything was ready before check-in and she was available as needed. Thanks!

    Chuck2016-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great space in a great location. Easy access to Asheville's attractions. Well equipped, artfully decorated and wonderfully hosted. Thanks for everything.

    Debbie2017-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely wonderful time at Camille's place! It was cuter than the pictures and a short drive from downtown. Camille was a great host and made us feel super welcome!

  • The Mermaid Cottage is amazing! Very fun, unique place to stay with everything you need to relax and enjoy your time in Asheville. The unit was very clean and separated from the rest of the house so you get some nice privacy. Great location within walking distance to a riverfront park and several restaurants, bars, coffee shops, etc. Also, Camille was an excellent host. She made sure we had everything we need - great communication!

    Brian2016-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing space, full of thoughtful touches.

    Lindsey2017-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • We found the Mermaid Cottage to be extremely welcoming and homey. We enjoyed our time there immensely and were sad to move on. We interacted minimally with Camille, but enjoyed our interaction with her and would have been happy if we had spent more time with her. She was very responsive with any needs and was a great host. If we make it back to Asheville, we will stay here again, 100%.

    Ben2016-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the Mermaid Cottage. Such personality and can feel it was done with such care. Loved the reading nook, comfy bed, shutters in bedroom were not only beautiful but kept room nice and comfy to allow one to sleep in. Place was immaculate, had great coffee ready with the option of French Press among other quality kitchen essentials. Has great energy, very relaxing, quiet and a home away from home. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Voila!!

This cozy room has a comfortable queen-sized bed, a private bathroom, and your own entrance. Walkable to Downtown and the River Arts District. Very close to the Biltmore Estate and West Asheville. Easy parking. People of Color & white people welcome; LGBTQ & straight friendly. Dogs too, but not on the bed. (Read our pet policy below!)
Simple, clean and comfy w/ queen-sized bed, private bath, good shower, fridge, microwave, coffee-maker, & wireless internet. Breakfast is on your own, but why eat in your room when Foodtopia awaits you? We are LGBTQ and straight friendly. People of Color and white people are welcome. Our home is an urban micro-farm in the making and a land partner in Patchwork Urban Farms. We are an easy walk or bike to the River Arts District (less than 1/2 mile) and Downtown (1/2 mile to Southslope, then another few blocks to Pritchard Park). It's downhill all the way home from downtown :) You can bike to West Asheville (less than 2 miles) or UNCA (about 3 miles). We're also really close to Biltmore Village and the entrance to the Biltmore Estate (less than 2 miles). Pet friendly for dogs with well-behaved humans (**see notes below re: dogs). Dogs count as an EXTRA guest. (So if there are two humans and one dog that's three guests altogether.) We love Asheville & love to help others love it too. We're happy to offer guidance and suggestions or to leave you to have your own experience. Check out our guidebook for this listing. Our place is simple and affordable but with the added bonus of a private bath and private entrance. You will be welcome and comfortable here. (**A note for visitors with dogs: I love dogs. Absolutely love 'em. I don't provide a crate, and your dog cannot be on the bed. Yes, I will know. If your dog has never stayed in a crate before this won't be a good place to get him or her used to it. Try it at home first. I prefer you not leave your dog here while you're gone. They tend to feel stressed in a strange place, hearing strange noises. So please be prepared to take your dog with you when you go out. Asheville is a very dog-friendly town. Lot's of places with outdoor seating and a few that allow dogs inside. When you arrive there will likely be a moment of excitement when your dog meets our dog, Minnie. Expect barking and sniffing. It's a good idea to let your dog have a walk across the street after traveling and the excitement of meeting another dog in a new place. Thanks!)
The South French Broad neighborhood is on the south-west fringes of downtown so it's easy to get most anywhere in Asheville. I love the urban stream right across the street, the proximity to the river and how it's perfectly situated to be a leading area for urban sustainability and urban agriculture.
  • Michelle's place was nice and cozy as described! Checking in was super easy and Michelle accommodated our unsure arrival time. We weren't in the room too much, but it was a great location as a base for our stay in Asheville!

  • Michelle was very welcoming and made check-in easy. The room was cozy and the fact that it was within walking distance from downtown made this a great find. Michelle has a great book of maps, menus, and suggestions for things to do.

    Sara2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed with Michelle during our stay in Asheville for Thanksgiving and it was great! We didn't spend a ton of time in the room, as we were hiking and shopping for most of our trip, but we had everything we needed while we were there. It was really nice having a private entrance to the downstairs because we were in and out so much. Michelle provided plenty of fresh towels and the bed was comfy too with flannel sheets! The room was plenty warm with the space heater she provided. One thing that is always important to me is the water pressure in the shower and it was great! All in all we had a great trip to Asheville and I would definitely suggest Michelles room :)

  • Easy going, very comfortable for a quick stay in Asheville! Met Michelle in her garden and immediately felt welcomed. Loved having a private entrance. Comfortable bed and private bathroom. Wish I could say more, but we were there for such a short time. Thanks Michelle!

  • Good place to stay for a night. Small space for more than one night. Michelle is a wonderful host.

    Dian2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed for one night, but we wouldn't have minded to stay much longer. Michelle's place is a little gem in a very nice part of Asheville. Our room had a private entrance which was nice so we wouldn't wake up anybody when we came back late. Bed was comfortable, fridge was a nice to keep some water cold and the wireless was great for some (Hidden by Airbnb) meetings I had in the morning.

    Peter2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient to downtown, loved having a separate entrance/bathroom. Comfortable space. Thanks for having us !

  • Really enjoyed my stay here! It was the perfect location, very close to downtown and in a safe neighborhood. Michelle was welcoming and had lots of recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc. The room was exactly as described and very cozy. I would definately book again.

If you are looking for a secluded mountain getaway this is not the place but if you looking to be in the heart of downtown festivities then our loft is the perfect place for you. Our loft has local art, full window view of College St., high ceilings, exposed brick. We are right in the center of all of the downtown action. Downtown is lively especially at night where you can enjoy craft cocktails, amazing food and live music.
Luxury 1 bedroom loft located in the heart of downtown Asheville
Downtown Asheville is energetic and we are right in the center of the action! Lots of cool spaces to explore, amazing restaurants and nightlife. We are across the street from Table and Imperial Life, which features a Friday late night Hip Hop Dance party. We are two doors down from the One Stop/Asheville Music Hall which stays open late and features funk, reggae, and rock. Old time, bluegrass, celtic, rock, symphony, African drumming, trad jazz, modern jazz, gypsy, singer-songwriters and eclectic street performers are a stone's throw from here as well. Award winning restaurants including sushi, Indian (north or south), Korean, Italian, BBQ, Southern, vegan, charcuterie, farm-to-table, pizza, Spanish, gluten free, French, Chinese, Ethiopian, Himalayan, bakeries, coffee houses, tea, four chocolateries, twelve breweries (and counting…) and food trucks galore. Art galleries feature openings every weekend in downtown and nearby and keep daytime business hours to explore artists from the area and from afar.
  • The apartment was gorgeous, very clean, and an ideal downtown location. Krista was great--she really put in extra effort. She had a whole binder of recommendations and checked in before, during, and after our stay. We were so impressed by her thoughtfulness. I highly recommend.

    Ruthanne2014-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The loft is beautiful, very clean, and really well decorated. Krista had lots of great suggestions for things to do in the area. The location cannot be beat - we parked our car for the weekend and were able to walk everywhere in a very short distance. I would very highly recommend staying here!

We are in the very upper echelon of guest satisfaction; a superhost for 7 consecutive quarters; 117 reservations in the past year, each giving 5 star reviews; meaning there is no higher level of guest satisfaction. Spacious, private and lovely, this one-bedroom apartment is on the lower level of our three-story home. You've own private entrance and deck. You’re in the woods but 5-10 minutes away from popular spots, downtown, Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway and River Arts District.
We are in the upper echelon of guest satisfaction as 100% of our 117 reservations last yeargave us a 5 star rating, meaning there is in essence, no higher level of guest satisfaction than what we have attained. We were chosen by a senior AirBnB staff to be the place they stayed at. "The two of you are the definition of what it means to be a remarkable AirBnB host. The care you put into the host-guest relationship is noticed and truly appreciated." Another recent guest said "“You guys were amazing, by far the best AirBnB stay I have ever had! Out of the numerous stays I have had through AirBnB, this was my best trip by far." Spacious, very private, peaceful and lovely, this one-bedroom apartment is on the lower level of a 2013 built, three-story, local notable artist’s home. Amongst other amenities, it has filtered water, a mini-fridge, small microwave, and coffee maker. There is not a stove/oven. Situated in a quiet, historic Asheville neighborhood – Kenilworth - there is lots of natural light through windows that face the woods. Enter through your own private entrance and enjoy your own deck overlooking the lush woods for three seasons, or a mountain view when the leaves are down. It is very private giving you all the space you need. Tall, mature trees grace your entrance and apartment, giving the visual perspective of being in a tree house. You hear the sounds of Asheville in the woods, everything from the train toot, to the plentiful birds, to the foxes in the neighborhood. This special hide-away is centrally located & 5-10 minutes to just about all of Asheville's major destinations, including Downtown, Biltmore Estate, Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Village, and River Arts District. Sleeps up to five guests with a master bedroom, sleeping nook off the living room with a full sized bed, and room for air mattresses in the living room. A one-of-a kind custom made wooden pallet bed frame holds the extremely comfortable king sized bed, with luxurious linens. Many guests said it was the best bed they ever slept on. The living room couch can be used for sleeping for the extra teenager. LGBT, family & kid friendly. Calming colors, organic cork floors throughout and eco-friendly. We have a dog and two cats and while our AirBnB guests are in their own quarters, we have found it becomes too complicated to allow other pets. As such, we cannot accept reservations with pets. Lynn is an Asheville artist, who has shown nationally and can guide you to some of the most interesting art related places in town (in addition to her own River Arts District studio). Lynn also gives 2-3 day individual (or multiple people) artist retreats at her studio. Special Retreat discount for people who are our AirBnB guests. Jake is an ethics and compliance consultant. He is considered an accomplished chef by all who have dined at the house, and for stays of four or more nights, schedules permitting, it would give him pleasure to create a gourmet breakfast for you for one morning of your stay (included in the price). This Airbnb listing has been permitted by the City of Asheville. The Neighborhood Kenilworth is one of Asheville’s wonderful historic neighborhoods, a unique gem with its own distinct feel. You’re in the woods but 5-10 minutes away from all the major attractions, downtown, Biltmore Estate, Biltmore Village, the Blue Ridge Parkway and River Arts District. Majestic trees, safe streets, eclectic mix of housing styles and the 19-acre Kenilworth Lake – a 15 minute walk from the house - makes walking here great fun. Special Offer for Guests Schedule a min-retreat with Lynn while you’re here as our AirBnB guest and receive a 10% discount for the Retreat. We love living in Asheville and in our home, and we'd love to make your stay here be everything you want it to be - and more. Should you stay with us, we hope it will feel like a home away from home. Please let us know in anyway we can assist you.

  • My husband and I decided to visit Asheville for my 30th birthday. We love visiting Asheville and were very excited after looking at pictures and reviews about staying at Lynn and Jakes. The space is more then enough for two people and Lynn and Jake are very accommodating. The bed is very comfortable and towels are really soft! Thanks again for the hospitality! We hope to stay again in the future! Jenna and Jeremy

  • This was the perfect place to stay for a long weekend in Asheville! The neighborhood is beautiful and very convenient to downtown, and Jake was so friendly and provided so many great recommendations. Waking up in the morning and having coffee on the back deck was a great way to start our day. The apartment was cozy, clean, and very well-kept; we felt so comfortable and at home there, and the bed made for a great night's sleep. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and can't wait to be back!

    Ashley2016-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn and Jake are impeccable hosts. They provide recommendations to help orient you before your trip so you can make plans to ensure your holiday's success. They checked in with us occasionally during our visit to ensure we had everything we needed. The neighborhood where the house is located is a cozy, mountain escape that is very accessible to downtown, The Biltmore and other points of interest. As other guests have mentioned, the bed in the main bedroom is extremely comfortable and the apartment itself is very cozy with a well-functioning heating and air system. We traveled with our small children, and the pre-schooler enjoyed having his own little sleeping nook. The place is also a short distance to a very nice little park with a playground, small soccer field, basketball court and tennis courts. Lynn and Jake's place is a wonderful home base for an Asheville holiday.

    Gayle2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn and Jake’s place was wonderful! It was beautiful and clean and most importantly, they were great hosts! They offered us suggestions for food and things to do and it was super convenient. Overall, great place to stay! Highly recommend if you are visiting in Asheville!

  • Ok if you live to eat, Jake and Lynn will be your personal guide on Ashvilles best spots for value! Is creativity, nature, self awareness something you are looking for, Ashville is the place, Jake and Lynn's is definitely where to stay!!! It is a wonderful experience honestly!

    Heather2018-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • The moment we stepped into the house, we knew we had not reserved enough nights in Asheville! The space alone made us want to come back for at least a full week's retreat. We did not have the pleasure of meeting Jake and Lynn (who kindly informed us they would be out of town before we booked), but they provided us with a comprehensive list of things to do in Asheville beforehand, and made sure we had everything we needed via messages. We had some unexpected turns on our way to Asheville and arrived later than we had anticipated, but their house sitter Erin was extremely kind and flexible in helping us check in nevertheless. The neighbourhood is beautiful and quiet, and a very short and easy drive from downtown Asheville. We hope we get a chance to book another stay with Jake and Lynn!

    Emilia2016-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was amazing! Didn't get a chance to meet Lynn (she was away for the stay) but Jake was more than helpful and gave us great food recommendations. Would stay again in a second! Thanks!

    Ryann2015-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to stay while visiting Asheville. It is close to downtown as well as the Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Jake and Lynn and very gracious hosts and sent us numerous suggestions on places to eat and things to do while visiting. Upon arrival, Jake sat down with us and helped whittle the list down to a reasonable sizzle so that we had a clear idea of activities for each day. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The unit has its own entrance so we were able to come and go without disturbing them. If I plan another stay in Ashe like, I would definitely try to book with them.

Close to downtown Asheville (less than 2 miles), Grove Park Inn, Botanical Gardens, and UNCA, you can walk to a meal, movie, & brewery. A quaint retreat--a serene space with high ceilings, natural wood & large windows. It's a small building next to our house in a private, peaceful, and simple setting. Includes a private full bath, wi-fi, meditation space, a desk, a mini-fridge, & coffee maker all in a comfy quiet neighborhood. It's great for couples, solo adventurers, & business travelers.
It's own private building with it's own private full bath. A lockbox and key, allows you to come and go as you wish. It's a quiet and pretty space with lots of windows and wood throughout.
We live in an historic neighborhood, called Norwood Park right on the edge of Grove Park. We are surrounded by tree-lined streets and historic homes. Situated just north of downtown, between Merrimon and Kimberly Avenues. Less than 2 miles from downtown Asheville and less than 1 mile from The Omni Grove Park Inn. Great location, close to everything, while being relaxing and quiet.
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Zen Cabin. The location cannot be beat. It was minutes from everything! The cabin has everything you need for a comfortable get away. It was cozy yet spacious. I cannot imagine there was a better option for my girlfriend and me. We were the envy of the wedding party. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we are in Asheville.

  • Wonderful place--I loved my stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to rest near downtown Asheville.

  • Tami was a great host who saved my butt after I made the reservation for the wrong month. The cabin was perfect. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. If you're tall, (6ft+) you might find the bed to be a little short, but the footboard doesn't run the length, & you can still stretch out. Overall, I would rebook in a heartbeat.

    Theresa2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to get to and very quiet.

    Sarah2017-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such a perfect end to my wonderful 1st visit to Asheville--the Zen Cabin is one of the best little cottages/nooks I've ever had the pleasure to stay in. So cozy, and comfortable, and remarkably peaceful...Loved reading the books and listening to the rain on the roof. Great location, accessible to downtown, & great food nearby: check out Homegrown / Nine Mile!

ENTIRE PRIVATE HOME - Our comfortable home in the mountains awaits your arrival! Really cool outdoor living spaces, great kitchen, high speed internet and views of Spivey mountain are some of the highlights here. It's Located in a quiet low traffic neighborhood just minutes to West Asheville and downtown.
Feel free to make use of the outdoor fireplace, patio, and anything else in the home. I try to make this house feel like your "home away from home" so if there's anything you need please let me know and I'll do my best to help you.
The house is located at the end of a dead end street surrounded by an apple farm, horses, and quiet neighbors in the county.
  • GREAT choice for the location and the price. 15/20 minutes from downtown with rooms and several blow up mattresses to accommodate a larger group-(be sure to bring sheets for those). Maintenance has dropped from when the pictures were taken. Overall a nice choice- would book again.

  • I cannot say enough amazing things about Savannah and Shawn's Mountain House. Their hospitality, communication, and accommodations were par to none. The house is so beautiful, clean and the outside is so peaceful and calming. That was my favorite place to hang out. The views are outstanding! They even allowed me to host a small networking dinner for doctors, as I was in town for a business trip. Everybody was so impressed with the house, and they all want to tell their friends and family to go on Airbnb and find this house if they ever come to visit. I have also told all of my friends to stay at this house when they go to Asheville. I don't think you could find anything better. Thank you Savannah and Shawn for everything you did for me, and for being so extremly kind!

    Mara2018-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect. If you really want to use the hot tub, make sure you ask if it is working. It wasnt when we went. Other than that, it was perfect!

    Mariana2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great space for a family or just a couple. Beautiful views, quick ride to downtown. Shawn and Amanda were very quick with their responses as well as very polite and courteous people. I would recommend this place to anyone

  • This place was absolutely awesome. It was HUGE and the view was just right. Close to pretty much anything you want, Shawn left suggestions for food in which we took 2 of! One bedroom, one bath private basement apartment in beautiful mountain home. Private entrance, incredible views and tons of outdoor space including fire pit.
Finished basement apartment. The bedroom has a queen bed, cedar lined closet and vanity closet with sink. There is no window in the bedroom. Some people really like having a very dark bedroom, for others it can be unsettling. Both the kitchen and the bathroom do have windows. The laundry room has washer and dryer that you are welcome to use, along with a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and toaster. This kitchen is not set up for heavy duty cooking (no pots and pans, stove top or oven) but it gets the job done for casual meals or reheating leftovers. Dishes are provided. The bathroom is small but has excellent water pressure. Please note that there is no internet or cell reception indoors, although you can get a clear signal outside. There is a tv with a dvd player and movies, no cable. The house has beautiful views and loads of space to roam. There's an outdoor fire pit that you are more than welcome to use, and hammocks for lounging in the summer. Very private location that feels like you're far out in the woods but you're really only minutes from Asheville and Black Mountain.
The best thing about this neighborhood is that there isn't really one! The house is fairly secluded but still only a short drive to Asheville or Black Mountain. The roads close to my home are very windy, so you may want to add a few minutes to your expected commute if you're not used to mountain roads.
  • Quiet little basement apartment.

    Michael2017-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ellie was quick with her communication with me throughout. The room was warm, the bed comfortable, and the basement DOES has a unique charm to it. :) If you like quiet and serenity...this is your place! I would definitely recommend the room to anyone passing through the Asheville area.

  • A great getaway! Beautiful cozy space, lovely scenery, a short drive into town. Quiet and a great place to relax and disconnect. While you can get signal just outside, it’s really refreshing to get a chance to disconnect from your phone. Great communication, clean, and inviting!

  • We had a great time staying here . It's in a pretty secluded spot but the grounds and views are amazing. Just what we were after. Thanks

    Jonathan2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • The basement apartment was very cute with excellent scenery. + It is not too far from downtown Asheville! We had a great stay, thanks!

  • The place is nice and the room is very organized. We did have some problems with bugs in the room and the shower. The shower floor was also dirty. There’s no cell signal or wifi which isn’t too bad just make any calls before you get there. Ellie was a great host and always kept great communication with us.

Keyless entry with a door code, so you can check-in without host's help! Full kitchen, queen bed, living area and private outdoor patio - all within a 10 minute walk to the best of West Asheville. Just a 5 min drive to downtown. Basement apt.
Studio apartment in the heart of West Asheville. Private entrance and private space. Walking distance to Sunny Point Cafe, West Asheville Yoga Studio, The Isis, West End Bakery, Westville Pub, The Admiral, the new Biscuit Head, the tailgate farmers' market (on Tuesdays), grocery stores, and much more. 15 minute bike ride and a 5 minute drive to downtown. Even closer to the River Arts district! Full kitchen, bathroom, queen bed with high quality linens, comfortable living area, including a couch and chair, and a private patio. New construction, unique, funky, retro, clean and convenient. I can offer a sleeping pad or air mattress for a 3rd guest. Expect a relaxing environment, comfortable accommodations, mini-split heating/cooling, dehumidifier, knowledgable, friendly, and helpful hosts, a big back yard, and a safe, lovely, and interesting neighborhood. We love Asheville, and we're happy to tell you why and help you find your way around. Or leave you alone. Whatever you prefer. Y ¡hablamos Español! (So does our dog, Fina.) The public bus runs right by our house, so it's easy to hop on if you don't have a car or a bike. Note: The apartment is below our living area, so you may hear footsteps and/or other signs of life above you, despite high-quality soundproofing insulation between the floors. We make every effort to walk softly and protect your peace and quiet.
Walkability is the best feature of my neighborhood. So many fun restaurants, shops, and night spots are within a 10 minute walk of the studio, as well as quiet neighborhood strolls if you prefer. Biscuihead for breakfast and The Admiral for dinner are my two recommendations. If you love to walk, this is your spot! And downtown is just a 5 minute drive. Walkable evening venues include The Isis, The Mothlight, and Westville Pub. Other favorites are Nine Mile, The Universal Joint, Sunny Point, Biscuit Head, Oyster House, and Dobra Tea.
  • The Studio worked really well for our trip, and the neighborhood is amazingly convenient to everything we wanted to do. If you're not familiar with a water pump in a house it does take some getting used too, but was not an issue for us. We were just concerned about making too much noise when we woke up early. The studio is a really great rate and space when you're looking for an alternative to the chain hotels.

    Macon2014-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Sweet Studio really is a sweet studio. We were able to walk to many restaurants and shops in West Asheville and able to drive a short distance to get into downtown. The studio is part of a beautiful property and was aromatic itself. The bed is amazingly comfortable and shower-head is quite pleasant. I was happy to see that Kari cared so much about the environment and not being wasteful with things. Though she was not there when we were, I expect that I would have liked to meet her and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with her.

    Richard2016-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kari's little basement was just as advertised, and was a perfect for our stay in Asheville. It was very convenient to all the places we wanted to visit in west Asheville, as well as to major roads to take us to downtown, the Biltmore, etc., and the apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. The inside was a little humid from the weather, but the minisplit installed in the apartment had a dehumidify function that helped to dry it out and kept us nice and warm. We met Kari on our second night, and she was very friendly and welcoming, and made us feel right at home. She was also in touch a couple of times before we arrived to make sure we had the door code and knew how to let ourselves in. We would definitely recommend!

    Keri2015-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kari's place was extremely comfortable and spacious with a short walk to the main drag of West Asheville and a quick drive to downtown. It was well furnished and made a great home base for us as we explored (and sampled far too much of the local cuisine). Highly recommended!

    Justin2015-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kari's place was very cute and close to everything in west Asheville! I only stayed briefly for one night and had to leave very early to be somewhere. I loved that I had a separate entry in the quiet, treed backyard.

    Kimberly2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location and very cute place. Greeted by fresh flowers and Izzy sodas in the fridge. Clear instruction posted on the fridge, and door security code provided well in advance.

    Sejan2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in Kari's studio for three nights with my wife on our first visit to Asheville. The room was exactly as described in the ad on AirBNB--the studio was very clean, comfortable, and homey, and the kitchenette was well-set up for guests. The keypad entry was very convenient to come and go without disturbing anyone in other parts of the house, and in fact I did not meet Kari in person (unfortunately). However, she was very communicative via messaging, and she had terrific suggestions for our stay in Asheville--restaurants, hikes outside town, and feedback on our ideas. I would absolutely stay again on my next visit.

  • Kari has a wonderful room. It is comfortable and cozy. She was helpful with dinner recommendations and answered all questions quickly. Kari is warm and welcoming. We will be back. I highly recommend this wonderful studio.

Entire private 4000+ square foot "McMansion" in West Asheville. The rooms/home feature stunning year round views, king beds, Huge TV with netflix, high speed wireless internet, cable TV, walking distance to groceries, and plenty of space to relax throughout the day. Enjoy the views of the mountains from the spacious front balconies and relax in the large jetted tubs. A well stocked kitchen awaits you for any meal you would like to prepare.
Enjoy the beautiful year long mountain views minutes from everything Asheville has to offer. The outdoor hot tub is finally working! We have two large garden tubs inside each of two master bathrooms as well. Owning and remodeling this home has been quite the adventure, and I'm so glad to be able to share the space with people. Enjoy the large front patio for breathtaking year round mountain views. The balcony is accessible through the front living space or through one of the master bedrooms, with the upstairs master bedroom having it's own private balcony with an even better view. There are two master bedrooms that are almost identical, each having their own large jetted garden tub and showers, and the house has 3 other bedrooms and two full bathrooms in addition, leaving a ton of space for your group. Huge kitchen features granite countertops, cooktop, oven, dishwasher, and a fully stocked kitchen. There is a very large smart TV, dining room, rear deck, and plenty of space for entertaining. The home features some privacy, yet it is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. There is a steep driveway, but any car can make it up easily. In case of inclement weather we have alternative parking spaces available, but this is only an issue sometimes in the winter months.
This is a great neighborhood on the side of a mountain in Asheville, NC. The neighbors are awesome, and we love it here. This place is truly unique, close to everything, and has amazing year round views.
  • Place exceeded expectations. Will be staying here every trip to Asheville in the future!

  • Shawn's place was amazing we wish we could have stayed for longer than just one night. The private balcony, the hot tub (whirlpool) and the Netflix were all wonderful. The bed was huge and slept three road-tripping friends easily. The process was all very easy getting the keys and finding our room. The hill up to the house is very steep so be ready. Wonderful spot. Would love to stay there again if I am in the area.

    Erin2016-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place with an awesome view in a great area! Shawn was helpful and friendly.

  • Thank you Shawn for a wonderful place to stay. Just wanted to say that it was perfect. Thank you for being quick to respond when I had a question about check in! The view is amazing and the bed was very comfortable. The hill to the house is crazy steep but we got over it once we got used to it! Just wanted to say the water in the shower could be hotter. We had no issues. Will plan to stay again!

The cottage is in a small, wooded neighborhood. It is quiet, private, and safe. There is a binder in the Cottage with recommendations for dining, and activities in the nearby area. It is about 10 min. to downtown Asheville.
  • The Cottage was clean, cozy, and adorable. We stayed two nights and had everything we could have needed. Tim and Muffi were very responsive to our last-minute request for a reservation. It is an easy drive from The Cottage into Asheville and to lots of surrounding areas for hiking. Highly recommended!

  • Our stay at Tim and Muffi's Cottage exceeded our expectations! It was clean and welcoming. We especially appreciated the little notes that easily guided us through operating electronics and other amenities that you would not normally think about. It is in a great location and so nice to return to after a long day of adventures.

  • The cottage was great for our first AirBnB experience. Wonderful hosts with great recommendations of all Asheville has to offer. Great location for a relaxing getaway yet still close to downtown. We will most definitely be back!

    Jillian2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely adored the craftsmanship and layout of the cottage. I don't think there is any place better to stay in all of Asheville. The cottage is so comfortable and relaxing being tucked away but still close to town. Right next to the Blue Ridge Highway and Biltmore Estate. Look forward to visiting Asheville and Staying here again.

Our very spacious, sunny, and newly finished basement apartment is part of our home, that we call Rancho54oh. It's close to the best that Asheville has to offer! It's the perfect home base for all your Asheville adventures.
This newly updated space offers a private entrance, lots of sunlight, tons of space, warm cork floors and and a cozy, modern vibe. Entry You have the option of parking in our rear driveway using the alley for access. This allows you private, off street parking and more direct access to the unit via a walkway to the door. The door is glass to optimize sunlight, and has a key entry. Kitchenette/Dining There is is a nicely equipped kitchenette that has all the basics- silverware, dishes, napkins, a new toaster oven, coffee maker, french press, sink, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric kettle, wine opener, and a counter height dining table that seats four. Living Area The open and spacious living area has a large sofa that folds flat to become a bed that comfortably sleeps 2. There are also 2 upholstered chairs and a coffee table. The bookshelves hold an array of travel books and other info that will help you make the most of your Asheville experience, as well as other selected favorites for good vacation reads. There is also a non-functioning painted brick fireplace that adds ambience, with a raised hearth for extra seating. Hallway/Desk The open space adjacent to the living area has a very large desk for any work or art projects you may be into while on vacation, and a cool industrial cabinet that we use to store things. Bathroom The bathroom is just off the "hallway". It is very spacious and has brand new everything. It is a modern and bright space with a window well that adds natural light. The bathtub is great for a soak and there is a showerhead as well. The space is finished in ceramic tile. Bedroom The bedroom has a brand new plush queen bed with upholstered headboard. There is a dresser and hanging rack for clothes storage, and the comfiest leather chair you've ever lounged in. Again, this space is very large and has plenty of room for stretching out. A large window adds lots of natural light. Heat/Air Conditioning The space is heated and conditioned with 2 mini splits. One located in the kitchen and one in the bedroom. These are operated with remote controls and heat/cool the entire space very well. An electric radiator is available for use in winter if you so desire. I find it's nice to have in the bathroom. The Yard The access door to the apartment opens up to the large side yard that has a huge oak tree and poplar tree and lots of sunlight. You're welcome to hang out there if you like.
Our neighborhood is a great place full of friendly folks. We have lots of great neighbors that we know. The neighborhood embodies all the diversity that Asheville offers and is very mixed racially and economically. We are located on top of a large hill and can see the I26 bridge over the French Broad, downtown, and the mountains in the distance from our yard. We are a short walk to AB Tech Community College and Mission Hospital.
  • Excellent place! I would definitely stay here again.

  • Apartment was close to the River Arts District and downtown Asheville! Easy bike ride to Old Belgium Brewing Co and river greenway. About 9 min drive to parking garage downtown. Apt was stylish and very clean. Kitchen has a toaster oven, microwave, and mini fridge. Could hear family upstairs; however, there was never an issue with sleeping. Easy check in and out with minimal requirements before leaving. The back alley to the apt parking was a little rough but easy to find. Would recommend this air bnb to friends and would return!

    Emily2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful. It’s clean, cozy, and literally close to everything! The River Arts District is within walking distance and the other pockets of Asheville are less than a 10 minutes drive. We loved the way the space was decorated - it had so much personality, the bed was very comfortable, and my wife really loved the bathroom floor! You can hear the family upstairs, but that was expected based on the description of the AirBnB and didn’t bother us at all. The only thing I would have liked... the entry door is glass to let in more light, but there are no blinds. Especially at night I would have been a little more comfortable if it could be covered so I knew no one could look in. But, no a huge deal! Still loved the space and how accommodating the hosts were. Would definitely recommend!

    Chad2018-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • This location was perfect for mine and my husband’s stay! We wanted to stay in the West Asheville area and this space was close to a lot of the places we wanted to go. Very close to galleries in the River Arts district and lots of great restaurants nearby. Also just a short drive to downtown. The space was very clean and cute. There was a little bit of noise from upstairs, but we knew that going into it. For location and price, this is a gray find!

    Beth2018-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely LOVED this cozy, modern, spacious basement apartment. Somehow, Emily managed to both think of everything AND keep the apartment uncluttered and soothing. The bathroom tiles looked a bit busy in the photos to me, but in person they are just gorgeous. In fact, the entire bathroom is modern, well appointed, and convenience defined. The vanity has gobs of storage below and a spacious top. Loved it! The bedroom was very comfortable, with plenty of storage and hanging space, and (indeed!) the world's most comfortable leather chair/ottoman for reading. The kitchen had everything I needed. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. (Also: I found the occasional sounds from the dog/child upstairs to be endearing, not at all a bother.)

    Liz2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Emily's place is in a great location, close to all the places in Asheville you would want to visit. Check in was easy, the place is clean and roomy. It is great value for money and we would stay again.

    Will2018-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great all around!

    Kelly2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our mom's getaway in Asheville! Emily's apartment is really cute, modern and very clean. We especially liked the bathroom and the French press in the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and the sofa bed worked great for a third person. It was only a short drive to Asheville Downtown, which we liked as well. We would stay there again anytime.

This retreat is close to restaurants, breweries, dining, galleries, cafes, shopping, and downtown nightlife, with a 5 minute drive to the heart of Asheville! The house has great views, and is within 10 minutes of the Blue Ridge Parkway. You’ll love the neighborhood, sunlight, comfort and coziness, and the private location. This retreat is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers needing a quiet place to relax, work, reflect, and play.
I've deliberately kept this space bright, clean, and simple, with basic amenities such as tea and coffee service, a mini fridge and microwave, and dishes. There is no formal kitchen, and no stove or big sink. I also provide basic toiletries in case you forget your own. There ARE curtains on the windows--they were installed after the photos were taken. Games, puzzles, & playing cards are available for non-screen time. Should you need to connect to the internet, wireless is available. Note that there is no television. Please come and go quietly and clean up after yourself.
The house is located in a beautiful historic neighborhood near Beaver Lake, one of Asheville's most scenic places to picnic, run, or walk--and enjoy the bird sanctuary. We are less than 2 miles from the Grove Park Inn, and a mile from UNC-Asheville. More people walk our street than drive it, and you'll catch cyclists, runners, and new parents with strollers enjoying the quiet neighborhood. My neighbors are kind, not to mention the many dogs on leash being walked. Most everyone is friendly, but will respect your space. We are just a couple blocks from Merrimon Avenue, home of multiple grocery stores, shops, restaurants, pharmacies, banks, cafes, and other conveniences.
  • Great place!

    Neisha2018-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Micah's space is airy, spacious, clean, and quiet. We were totally satisfied. If you want to be close to all attractions, but retreat for quiet and rest in the midst of fully packed days, this is a great choice. Be aware of the driveway entrance, which requires a wide turn, and a sharp steering wheel cut to avoid the fence. It is not difficult, but you can't tell until you have already pulled in. Enjoy Asheville, y'all!

    Kathleen2018-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing stay at Micah’s place in Asheville. The place was in a perfect location in a beautiful neighborhood that offered easy and close access to downtown and all the other great areas Asheville has to offer. Micah was great to communicate with and quickly helped us any time we had a question about anything. We never paid anymore than $8 with Uber getting around and were able to hit a ton of breweries, restaurants and craft beer bars. Would absolutely recommend not passing up Micah’s place.

    Matt2018-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is great! It was quiet and scenic, clean and comfy. We had access to everything we could have needed, and would definitely recommend this spot!

  • Stayed for the night here with my boyfriend for our anniversary, and it was the perfect stay! Super close to downtown Asheville and Uber is convienient and inexpensive ! Such a comfortable space and so quiet. Micah was a great host and made everything ready and convienient for us. Would definitely recommend, 10/10 !

    Sarah2017-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • The location was absolutely perfect! Perfect distance from the highway and downtown making travel anywhere around Asheville easy and quick. Also, the neighborhood is extremely quiet and peaceful. The backyard is full of greenery which makes hanging out on the back porch very relaxing! Overall a great place to stay!

  • The space is perfect for a quiet retreat right outside of downtown Asheville. Very nicely decorated and a great place to relax while still being close to downtown. Of particular note is Asheville Pizza and Brewing which is pretty much a walkable distance away.

  • Jan is a great host, and the room in her cottage was close to the Biltmore Forest. She was easily accessible to help with anything I needed.

    Meagan2018-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jan was very welcoming and did a great job of communicating prior to our arrival. The bungalow was as described, very comfortable bed, nice shower, and very clean. A good value.

    Jack2016-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy + intimate. Perfect, I think, for a couple. Jan was very kind to provide us with coffee and tea so we were very comfy in the mornings. The only complication I can think one might have is it's a little far from downtown Asheville (about 4 mi), although I had my car, so I was fine. There does appear to be a bus route running very close by.

  • This is an amazing spot. Angela is a great host. We were provided with everything we needed to "survive" our two day trip. From shampoo to Keurig pods, it was all there! The bed was extremely comfortable, the WiFi was amazing, the TV has Netflix - what more can you ask for? Oh, and I forgot to mention one thing - it's less than a ten minute drive from downtown, so it's a great location!

    Baxter2016-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Angela's place is fantastic- not only is the apartment downstairs spacious and comfortable, but the views are great (surrounded by woods)! It's located very conveniently to get into downtown Asheville (we mainly used uber and it was around $5). Angela even provided snacks, coffee and even some chocolates from her favorite place in town!

    Lauren2017-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time staying at an Airbnb and we loved everything about it! Angela was so welcoming and friendly throughout the weekend. She provided us with recommendations on places to go and some of her favorite restaurants. The location and size was PERFECT; super close to downtown and easy to navigate through the area. You really do get the mountain feel while staying right outside all the business of the downtown area. Things we were really impressed with: showerhead is aaaamazing, snacks and coffee stocked, location, affordable stay, and all the helpful info about Asheville. Highly recommend staying with Angela! We will be back, no doubt (:

    Emily2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it. Perfect for our weekend getaway to Asheville. It was a very private basement apartment tucked in a hillside forest. It is close to downtown, yet secluded. Would stay here again next time we come down to visit West NC

  • Angela was extremely helpful with getting us oriented and helping us feel welcome in Asheville. Lovely spot and very accessible to downtown and the surrounding area. Highly recommended!

    Taylor2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and spacious! Close to downtown and the Biltmore. Coffee and snacks were provided as well as frig and microwave. It is located in a nice residential wooded area. Nice space outside to drink coffee! Highly recommend!

    Leah2016-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Angela's. Although we didn't get the chance to meet her, we did meet with Robert who seemed like a great host. The location was perfect for our trip to the Biltmore and downtown Asheville over the weekend. The apartment was cozy and well furnished and situated below the main house. Our only suggestion would be to add a fan to the bedroom to help mute some of the noise that comes from upstairs at night and in the early morning. Otherwise, we enjoyed it.

    Matt2017-05-09T00:00:00Z

The hot-tub was just what we needed after a long day of hiking Catawba Falls, and the location was amazing! We were able to walk to nearby Archetype Brewing for a quick drink and some live music, and then for dinner we went to WALK which was a 3 minute walk just up the street from the house. The fenced in area offered lots of privacy, and ample street parking allowed us to park right in front of the place.

  • Adorable place, great location, super comfy bed, and the hot tub was perfect after a night out in Asheville!!!

  • Great location!

  • I recently stayed at Shawn's place and it was more stylish and comfortable than I expected! The space was simple yet well decorated. The kitchen was great for a low-key meal at home, the bathroom was adorable and bright, the bed was beyond comfortable, and the hot tub was fully functioning and a definite treat to have on a very cold December night. I had no problems working the heat or thermostat - there is a switch on the wall by the heater. I would only comment that there is not a full shower in the space but a shower head attached to the tub faucet - I'm low maintenance so that wasn't an issue for me and I was able to shower just fine with it (c'mon people, it's clean water and a tub, no first world problems here). I absolutely loved this space and would happily stay here again!

Minutes from downtown Asheville, with privacy and massive views. Mountain bikes included with rental. Easy access to Blue Ridge Parkway.
This is a new, "tiny house concept" guest cottage in the high-end, Town Mountain neighborhood, only 2 miles from the center of downtown Asheville. Every detail from luxury linens on the queen sized bed to heated floors in the bathroom, to the Keurig coffee maker has been seen to. Queen sized bed in loft bedroom, accessed by a ship ladder (like a broad, shallow step ladder with handrails).
Neighborhood is uniquely situated 1000' above Asheville, but only 2 miles away, affording stunning views of Mt. Pisgah, Cold Mountain and the western range.
  • Kim's tiny house was super cute and cozy with an amazing view! Located just minutes from Asheville made for a convenient but luxurious experience. Would definitely recommend and more than happily return to this beautiful house.

    Stephen2017-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is awesome! Plenty of space for two people and an excellent getaway for anyone looking for a quiet retreat. Great location; it is only about 10 minutes away from downtown Asheville and it was very easy to get an Uber back and forth as well as it was to drive down ourselves. Everything was very clean and comfortable and taken care of. Communication with Kim was a breeze and we felt like we had the whole mountain to ourselves since we barely heard a car or a peep from anyone else. They even had a few beverages stocked in the mini-fridge which we enjoyed while taking in the lovely view on the deck. Absolutely top-notch spot, we will return!

    Emily2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kim's place was amazing and has everything you need including incredible views! Highly recommend this place!

    Matt2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome tiny home is in a great location! I scheduled a spa treatment at the Omni Grove Park Inn and it was just minutes away. This home is super clean and has awesome views. If you’re bringing “rover,” bring a flashlight. There are very few street lights which is great for star gazing but not so great if “rover” needs to go for a walk! One thing to note is that the home sits below the road. The circle drive in front of the home is really steep! There is parking on the road but if you’re traveling in the winter when there is a risk of snow or ice, be aware that it may be difficult to unload/load the car. I would recommend this home to anyone! This is the first time I’ve stayed in a tiny home. There was plenty of room for myself and my pup!

    Kari2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to get away and have some peace and quiet. Beautiful house and beautiful views. Everything we needed was provided and the bed was super comfy which is always a plus. We will definitely be back!

  • What a great place this was to stay! Such a fun experience to stay in a tiny house, but it is still spacious enough that you never feel cramped (think an upscale one-bedroom hotel suite). We had everything we needed there, plus the deck provide a gorgeous view of Asheville and the western mountains for sunsets. If you're looking to take in downtown Asheville (breweries, restaurants, shops) this rental is just a quick 10 minute gorgeous drive down the mountain and into the city. You're still only about 20 mins away from the airport and 30 mins away from some great hiking. It was close to the Asheville Tourists baseball stadium as well (10 min) which worked out very nice! Also, Uber's were readily available to downtown at around $7-$10 one-way. I would recommend to anyone who is on the fence about renting this place that you get off of it. This was a great place to stay with gorgeous views from the mountain and close to downtown. You cant ask for anything more.

    Jason2017-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Stop your search now because this is where you need to stay. This tiny house was everything we needed and some for our 2 year anniversary getaway to the mountains! When we got in late at night we were a little nervous because it was hard to see (we live in a city so we aren't used to the mountains) but Kim gave us the easiest directions for checking in. We unloaded the car and immediately were amazed by the house! It was spotless and we got right to relaxing. The home is close to all shops and restaurants! We cannot wait to return and stay at Kim's tiny house again!

    Dukeith2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Best of both worlds! You are less than 10 minutes from everything Asheville has to offer but your stay is surrounded by a beautiful view of the mountains. Kim was a great host leaving coffee and drinks for us plus fabulous recommendations on places to eat. Everything was perfect for a long weekend stay - comfortable, clean, and how fun to stay in a tiny house! We highly recommend staying here on a visit to Asheville.

Beautiful rental in Northwest Asheville (in-between North and West Asheville). Close to river, downtown, West Asheville, River Arts District, Richmond Hill Park, Biltmore, UNCA. Easy access to all the area's best restaurants, breweries, tours, nature, and attractions. Studio-style, 640 sq. ft, 2 story, 1 bed upstairs, 1 foldout couch downstairs, and 1 cot available. Fantastic back porch for relaxing. Private driveway and private feel.
The In-Between is a brand-new 640 square foot dedicated vacation rental. We live next door, but we believe in the need for a private retreat. You'll have your own private driveway, privacy fencing, and full use of the rental house. We are on call if you need us for any reason, and are happy to answer any questions about the accommodations or the area--otherwise, we will leave you to your peace. There's a city bus stop right across the street, but more often we use Uber or Lyft since it's pretty cheap and only a few minutes drive downtown. The neighborhood sits right up the mountainside above the French Broad River, and has beautiful mountain views.
  • Very clean and unique space. Conveniently located to West Asheville and a short five minute drive to downtown. Would definitely stay at again!

    Emily2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Alice and Maxx are wonderful! They are quick to respond to all of your questions/concerns and are always available for help! They are very courteous and really allow you to have a pleasant visit! The house was extremely clean!

  • The house was so much fun to stay at! My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few nights for my birthday. The location is a perfect distance away from downtown. The artwork was so fun and the house is too cute. We would definitely like to stay here again!

  • Alice's place is a wonderful place to stay! The house is the perfect size, very private, and close to downtown Asheville. I was very comfortable here and Maxx and Alice were very helpful and communicated everything I needed to know for my stay. I highly recommend this location for a great trip!

    Emily2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay! I appreciate being able to find an affordable place to stay for one night, as many places require a two-night minimum. I especially liked that the house is new and uncluttered, and of course, the peace and quiet of the country, yet not far from the city.

    Donna2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the cleanliness, style, and privacy of this space. We were particularly interested in checking out the river arts district and west Asheville and this location was perfect for that - just a couple minute drive to everything. The house had everything we needed plus amenities to make us feel super comfortable like AC units on both floors, Roku tv, private back porch area, etc.

I designed this cozy, small space (12x24) for myself and have loved living in it! If you have ever wondered what it's like to live tiny (or smallish) come stay and try it out! It's located behind my personal residence in a sweet little neighborhood minutes from downtown...(Uber is available). The deck overlooks a quiet ravine where the bears travel frequently (not as much in the winter). It's quiet and close to everything! Adults only... Thank you! Airbnb guests only. No visitors, please.
I had this quaint and cozy cabin built by a company specializing in small home design. Their craftsmanship is unparalleled! It is nestled in the trees above a small ravine and sits in the backyard of my house. It is small (288 sq ft downstairs, 100 upstairs and a 100 sq. ft. deck) but has the feel of something bigger with high ceilings and an open concept and loft. It is close to downtown, the Biltmore, and Blue Ridge Parkway but feels like a quiet get away. This space is meant for two people and is for adults only. Absolutely no pets, smoking, vaping or parties. Please respect the no pets policy as there are folks highly allergic to even hypoallergenic pets. Thank you! Features: All new designer furniture Brand new queen size bed in the loft Full sized refrigerator Toaster oven, microwave, and hot plate for small meals. Coffee maker with Starbucks House roast coffee Ceramic tile bath with roomy tiled shower Wide plank oak hardwood floors Rosewood dining bar in eat-in kitchen Hide-away fold down writing desk with view of trees and wildlife Real stairs/storage to the loft Tankless water heater so you have limitless hot water Beautiful deck out back to sit and take in the view This Tiny House is for my Airbnb guests only. No visitors please. Come see how special this place is! I love it!
This house is located in a cozy, tree-lined neighborhood 4 miles from downtown. Close enough to anything you want to do but tucked away in its own little patch of woods. Walkable neighborhood to a public library, two playgrounds, one block to the Farmers' Market on Fridays, and two blocks to PennyCup coffee shop (try their frozen Green Tea!) and Creekside Taphouse BBQ...yum!
  • Karen was a great host and her tiny house is absolutely amazing! Close to everything we wanted to do and a perfect space.

  • Small, Cozy, Clean, Close to Town! Comfortable bed in loft with surrounding windows and beautiful view! We met Karen, our hostess, and it seemed we had known each other! It was a pleasure to stay in her home! So close to everything Asheville has to offer!

    Leslie2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a cozy home away from home that is conveniently located, this is your place. This "tiny house" was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. Karen went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and she was always readily available via text if we had any questions. We could be downtown in 10 minutes, which was super convenient. Also very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We can't say enough good things about this home!

    Lyndsay2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's tiny house is the perfect place to escape and just enjoy simple living, while being close to the great city of Asheville. Communication was amazing and her recommendation list was incredible. Everything was prepared, clean and organized perfectly. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone who is looking for something different that would like enough creature comforts that this place has to offer. Will definitely be coming back as soon as we can!

    Adam2018-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend staying here! It's in a perfect location and the house is awesome! Karen is great to work with!

  • Karen is an excellent host - very responsive, helpful and accommodating. The Tiny House was clean, open, with lots of natural light, high quality appliances, comfortable furniture and even some storage. She has anything you could need and is extremely helpful in providing recommendations and giving her honest opinion. I would recommend this to any individual or pair visiting Asheville for a few days.

Chunns Cove is a world unto itself. We have one neighbor to the north, otherwise all you can see is a trees and flowers depending on the time of year. The cove is human-quiet but bird-noisy! We regularly see creatures that you wouldn't expect and could easily mistake this place in summer for a Costa Rican rain-forest! Ingles, our local grocery store, is 3 minutes SW and Walgreens is 5 minutes SE. Our favorite dinner restaurants are the Admiral in West Asheville and the Bull & Beggar in the River Arts District for which we recommend reservations but you might find a couple of seats around the bar to order a selection of fabulous plates, Wasabi for sushi Downtown and The Copper Crown on Tunnel Road. Lunch time we are partial to Chai Pani's Indian Street Food which i take with no spices and Doc Chey's is ideal on a tight budget, but arrive early or be prepared to wait for a seat.
  • This place was immaculate! Every spot was well thought out. So close to downtown and anything you want to do in Asheville, while giving you a quiet place to relax. My wife I really enjoyed it here and will definitely be returning. The pool, hot tub, and private deck made it nice to enjoy outside as well. Thanks again!

  • Perfect Harvey Getaway!! Our experience was beyond anything we can put in words. Heres a Highlights: •We had a late arrival to Utopia. Had a minor issue closing the window--we were super impressed at Fay & Marc's sense of urgency to rectify the situation. Fay was correct in saying there's issue to big that they can't resolve at anytime of the day •The room was spotless and looked just like the photos! They provided aimlke things to make you feel at home like flip flops, shampoo and conditioner wonderful smelling body wash called coconut magic (it smelled amazing!). •Fun decor and you can hear the story of how Utopia came to be during at the quaint breakfast hosted by Marc & Fay. Our biggest regret was not purchasing Marc's homemade apple jam. We look forward to staying at another one of their properties. Thanks Marc and Fay for being such great host! Ps. Their guide and rexommendations of places to eat around town was spot on--Sunny Point Cafe was one of our faves. Great food, worth the wait.

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Fay and Marc's! The place is just as described and has a really cool secluded feel to it. We loved the Steel Suite and especially enjoyed the hot tub! It's a quick Uber to anywhere in town so we enjoyed all the awesome bars, restaurants, and shops that Asheville has to offer! We definitely love to come back!

  • Utopia is a perfect mountain getaway. The decor in each suite is unique, creative and perfectly designed. The common areas (pool, hot tub, coffee bar, etc) and well-maintained and convenient. Unlike many peaceful mountain retreats, Utopia is a mere five minute drive to downtown Asheville's nightlife and artistic scene. Marc and Fay are wonderful hosts who have thought of every detail a traveler might need. I would highly recommend this resort, and I will definitely return!

    Dustin2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Marc and Fay were warm, friendly and inviting! The room was comfortable, quiet and very creatively decorated. Warm croissants with fresh homemade jam and fresh fruit every morning were the icing on the cake! Downtown was a short 5-8 minute drive down the street - easily reached by taxi or uber. Will stay with them if we return to Asheville!

    Jocelyn2016-10-11T00:00:00Z

Cozy, artistic, small one-room studio attached to our home (but with a private entrance) in a rustic setting less than 10 minutes to downtown Asheville. Have breakfast on your own private covered patio. Perfect for hikers, outdoor enthusiasts, kayakers, musicians & artists. And dog lovers!
Cozy 235 sf studio attached to our home with fully operational kitchen, full-size double bed, sofa, table and chairs, bathroom, large covered stone patio & fire pit all built for guests' use only. My partner and I built this house with our own hands implementing a lot of recycled materials from an old barn and an old fallen house. It's a super labor intensive, sustainable work of art that carpenters will appreciate. The house is situated on a fully fenced-in rustic acre. Another fence divides the acre in half so that guests and their dogs have the run of one half, and we have the other. The kitchen has oven/range, coffee maker, pots & pans, dishes, mini-fridge/freezer, microwave, etc; always stocked with organic coffee, tea, cream & sugar for guests. We are located down a bumpy dirt road in a warehouse district near town. Sports cars that are low to the ground are cautioned to drive slowly. Note that the bed is in a nook which some guests might find challenging for accessibility.
A rare dirt road with wooded acreage tucked away in the middle of an urban warehouse district. Rustic, Appalachian neighborhood where most of us know each other and are friends.
  • We enjoyed staying at this lovely oasis in West Asheville--the studio apartment was sparkling clean, quiet and had everything we needed. Even though you're in the city, you have the feeling you're out in the country. Be sure to check out the host's guide book--her recommendations for local hikes and good places to eat were spot on!

  • Very cozy. Perfect if you don't want to pay over priced hotels. Miriam was very nice. She welcomed us when we got settled and then left us alone for the rest of the weekend. Quiet neighborhood, close to everything else.

    Angel2015-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Miriam's cozy studio is just a few minutes from downtown. It was clean, quite and stocked with a couple of local brews, coffee and towels. Miriam was very pleasant and made the process easy. I would definitely stay there again. While all of our scheduled activities got rained out, we still had a great time in AVL.

  • My fiancé and I had a lovely experience at Miriam's sustainable home. I truly enjoyed learning the history of the house. Check in and check out were both simple and convenient. The home was perfectly equipped, despite its tiny size!, and very clean. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Miriam!

    Erin2015-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Miriam's place was amazing and the property was beautiful, regardless of the recent storm. The story of the house was also very cool. Location was close to the river and many great bars and restaurants!

  • My wife and I felt very at home in Miriam's beautiful sustainable home. She welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a little background on the place. Upon entering we were pleasantly surprised at how neatly decorated and put together her space was. Overall we are really glad we stumbled upon this neat little place in beautiful Asheville and hope to return at some point.

  • We had an absolutely wonderful time at Miriam's place! It is a beautiful space that was handcrafted with love. Our private studio felt like our own little world and had everything we needed for a full weekend getaway. It is a super quick drive to downtown Asheville and even closer to the great eats and shops in West Asheville (we walked there!!). I would absolutely recommend stating here. Miriam and hers were very welcoming, friendly and always happy to help!!

We loved our stay in Asheville! Communication was great leading up to our stay with Rita answering our questions via text and encouraging us to "just bring ourselves, and not worry about anything." Jeff was at the house to greet us and show us our room, which was the gold room upstairs. It was nice to meet other couples who were staying in the other rooms and sharing a bathroom was not a problem. Rita provided muffins and coffee in the morning to begin our day. The location is wonderful as you can walk to all the restraints/breweries downtown and we felt very safe even at night. The hot tub was a great end to our long day of walking and sight seeing. Rita and Jeff are laid back hosts who let you do as you please but are available to offer suggestions and engage in great conversation should you choose to! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the gold room this past weekend and definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting Asheville! Can't wait to come back again

We very much enjoyed staying here with our 1.5 year old daughter. The yurt had everything we needed inside, and the horses, sheep, dogs and cows were a joy to come back to after daytrips to Ashville, Marshall, the countryside and so on. Anna was a generous and lovely host -- staying here is highly recommended!
