Our Penthouse Studio offers spacious open plan room, suitable for a single person, couple, family (including babies) and business travellers. Balcony overlooking the fabulous Hinterland views of Brisbane, the entire studio is exclusively yours. ☺ Apartment size: 80m2 Large balcony: with outdoor al fresco dining area. This is an open plan space with the option of a king size bed or 2x single beds. With 2x fold out sofa chair beds and a fold out bed are available for extra persons at an extra cost. Please note: this is more suitable for a family with 3 kids or teenagers. As it can become a bit crowded with 5 adults. But if you all are happy to save $$$, this could be an ideal arrangement. Guests have access to DVD player with DVDs. We also have DVDs suitable for children. For family with infants and toddlers. I do charge $20 for the use of a Portacot, includes bedsheets and blankets. Please let me know if you wish to have this option so I can set it up prior to your arrival. But if you wish to set up the Portacot yourself and put away, then there is no charge or if your children are sleeping with you. We can set up a play tent upon request. I have a baby bath tub for your convenience. Ceiling fan in lounge space and in bedroom space with remote controls for extra comfort. Kitchenette - stand alone cooktop and stove - microwave - toaster - sandwich maker - jug - coffee plunger - pots, pans, utensils, crockery and more. My building is a hotel/apartment. There is a restaurant at Lobby level, open only for breakfast and serves continental breakfast during weekdays or there is Cafe 63 down the road (3mins walk). Bathroom - bath and hand towels - shampoo & conditioner - body wash - hairdryer. My Wifi is good enough for checking emails and for quick browsing. If you need a fast and great connection and needing it for work then this listing might not be for you. I have a suction grab bar for you to use to assists your balance while entering or exiting the shower. There are no steps in the apartment. Housekeeping is available at an added cost $25. This can be organised during your stay.

  • We found the penthouse to be a modernist dream come true. It was a unique and thrilling experience to stay in this immaculate yet comfy apartment with a spectacular view of Brisbane. Especially lovely were the sunrises and blazing sunsets that were followed by the glittering urban lights filling the 3 walls of floor to ceiling windows. Loved the decor, the comfortable bed and linens and well-equipped kitchen. Flasta was so helpful and went out of her way to help us orient to the locale, which was great. Love that we were so close to the art school which has a great gallery and a very good coffee shop. Highly recommend that coffee shop for excellent coffee and inexpensive, casual meals. The apartment is close to the river where you can catch the free City Hopper to get just about anywhere in the city while getting a stunning trip on the waterway that weaves in and out of the different neighborhoods. Sure wish we could have stayed longer!

Having said that, you pretty much have everything you need in the studio so the chances of you needing their help with something is minimal. Hope to stay there again soon.

    My one bedroom apartment in West End is right next to Boundary Street, with bars, eateries and supermarkets all within walking distance. The space is light and airy, with a new air conditioner, kitchen and bathroom, queen size bed and small patio to chill out on before heading out. Public transport is less than a minute's walk and South Bank and the museums are a ten/fifteen minute walk. There is a parking spot and I am happy for you to have your furry friend stay too.

It is listed on Star Ratings Australia as a 4-star hotel. Based on the listing, I was expecting the hotel to be swankier than it actually was, so I was a bit disappointed. It was fine for a 4-star hotel though. Quick and easy check-in and good communication. Tea and coffee are provided, along with shampoo and body wash. Good wifi. Cleanliness was slightly below par.

  • My boyfriend and I choose to stay at a place that we'd have all for our own (after a road trip in a campervan..) and we made the absolute right decision by choosing Vlad's apartment. We stayed two nights in a huge and comfy bed. The bathroom is clean and there are towels provided. You can make Tea and Coffe and store something for breakfast or drinks in the fridge. You're right in the middle of the city and can reach everything within a walk. Flexible check in/check out times which was perfect! You can use the Hotel's Pool, Gym and Sauna and grab an apple before you leave to walk around the city. We absolutely enjoyed our stay.

  • My daughter and I had a fun and busy week in Southbank with Thomas' lovely apartment as our home away from home. The location is so easy, we had a car and were able to park it in the visitors' park underneath the building securely. But no car needed once we arrived, everything cultural and delicious is in walking distance or a train or river cat ride away. I love the layout of Thomas' place - compact, but with everything we need, including a balcony for morning sun. Thomas does well to manage his place from overseas - thanks to his sister who let us in and helped us work out how to use the secure lift. Highly recommended. We'll be back. Thanks Thomas.

  • The location was great. Got the train from the airport to south Brisbane. Apt a 2 min walk from there. AC in the bedroom does not work. The towels require replacing. They are threadbare. Some light bulbs require replacing. Met by the hosts sister in the building foyer. Handed the keys. Not shown around the apt. I would not recommend this apt.

  • Bin and Thao were fantastic hosts. Their place was very close to my work and I enjoyed the conveniency. During one of the night, upstairs had a party till 2am and Thao took care of it to ensure my sleep was not disrupted. Room was a little small and can improve with a small fan for more circulation. However, for the price they are asking for, it is a fantastic deal. Would not hesitate to recommend if you are simply after the best location in town and a quick recharge.

This one-bedroom apartment is located in a secure, well maintained small complex of 35 units. My place is good for couples, families, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
    Property features include: - Lounge area with sofa bed, 42” TV and dunning table - Kitchen is equipped with appliances (fridge, cooktop, microwave, toaster, kettle, rice coker), utensils and plates - Queen bed in the bedroom with desk, chest and wardrobe - The sofa-bed in the living room converts into a two-person sofa bed, which fits 2 guests comfortably. Extra towels, linen and pillows are provided upon request. - Basic amenities are provided including clean bedding, fresh towels and bathroom supplies. - Small balcony off the bedroom and big balcony off the living area (with table/chairs) - Air conditioning unit in the bedroom - Free secure parking for one car (please inform me if you have a car) - Security throughout with security gate access to complex - Pool with spa and two outdoor entertaining areas - Communal laundry area with coin washing machines and dryers - The complex is approx 15 years old, the apartment was refurbished recently - The unit is located on the ground level. There are 13+4 stairs on the way from the parking. There are 6+3+7+3 stairs on the way from the main gate. If you want I can send photos. - !!! Please note, Internet or Wi-Fi is not available !!!
    Close to multiple public transport options (bus, train, ferry), as well as a City Council bike station and bike ways. South Brisbane train satiation is about a 5 min walk. Easy access to airport via AirTrain. All information can be found online, and costs approximately $13 per ticket. Walking distance to Coles, Woolworth, shops and cafes.
  • Great place to stay close to West End restaurants and walking distance to Southbank. Free parking is a bonus and the place is spotless. I would stay here again and would highly recommend this place.

  • My partner, son and I stayed for 1 night at Sams and it was perfect. Very clean, stylish and tidy. Sams communication, directions and instructions were very clear and easy. Most of all, we loved the small touches like the fresh flowers in the vase on the balcony, some fruit in the fridge, a personal welcome note, magazines and board games that my son enjoyed. Free parking was a bonus too. Awesome location for walking to and from the city, galleries and the West End as well as 2 supermarkets. A lovely place to stay. Thanks Sam!   • Natalie is a fantastic host and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. The accomodation was spotless and included everything we needed for our three week stay. The bed is very comfortable, and the shower has good pressure. The laundry machine and dishwasher were very convenient. There is a grocery store nearby (~10 min walk), as well as a number of great neighbourhoods to explore and grab a bite. It's also right by the museums and art gallery, as well as a major bus and train station. Natalie provided us helpful tips about where to go out. She also provided the essentials (soap/shampoo/detergent) for the bathroom, kitchen, and laundry, which was extremely appreciated. Natalie responds very quickly to all questions, and was super accomodating in terms of our arrival and departure. Would stay again in a heartbeat! Thanks Natalie!

  • Nice roomy apartment, very well located for city and south bank. Well fitted out with good kitchen area, bathroom and comfy bed, but the sofa and easy chair are small and not very comfortable. Communication from the owner was a bit sparse - I was only sent check-in details by email a couple of hours before the check in time (just as well I was able to receive emails or I would have been left high and dry!). Also wifi stopped working 3 days before I was due to leave and wasn't fixed by the time I left - again it would have been nice if the owner had kept me updated about this. Overall, though, a nice place and I'd recommend it.

Spacious apartment (63sqm), with kitchen, balcony, separate bedroom & living area, ensuite bathroom with designer amenities, LCD TV, Foxtel Fully renovated, located high up on the 11th floor literally upstairs from the abundance of restaurants, shops, bars and cafes the CBD has to offer, Queen Street Mall, Botanical Gardens, Treasury Casino and South Bank just a short stroll away. Surrounded by great shopping, cafes, restaurants and landmarks!
  • The location is great, super close to Queen St Mall, GOMA, the botanical gardens and all the public transport services. The place was very clean, smaller than I expected but still decent and cosy. Would be great if there was a working washing machine but not essential. The rooms were always cool without air conditioning which was great in the summer heat. Communication with the host was a little tedious and strenuous at first but calling directly was more satisfactory. Overall a good price for the location.

  • A really great pet friendly location in the West End, unfortunately this was overshadowed by the cons. It was difficult to reach Maudie and when we had issues her response time was even longer. Noise from the host’s Mom who lives upstairs is a bit much and at early hours in the morning on a daily basis. And lastly, the unit was not all that well equipped with the basic necessities, such as toilet paper and a cloth or sponge to wash the dishes.

    Large, airy room, queen bed with double mattresses with your own private bathroom in bright, sunny home in fabulous, quirky West End. Walking distance 10 minutes about 800m to fabulous restaurants and bars in West End, 15 minutes to Southbank and 18 minutes to Brisbane City. Relaxed atmosphere, easy going hosts, access to a gorgeous large deck overlooking white, sandy beach pool, tropical gardens. Deck with lounge chairs and upstairs rooftop deck has amazing sunset views to chill out.
    We call it "The Last Resort "because it has its own private beach with silky white sand, pool, huge rear deck with comfy lounges and rooftop deck with views of the river and sunset drinks. West End is a vibrant, alternative, gay friendly area with a wild collections of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and music venues similar to Fitzroy and Surry Hills. The house is white inside and out and catches all the sunrises and sunsets. Your room has a large queen sized bed, and a private ensuite in a white and airy bedroom within a renovated Queenslander house in West End, Brisbane. We live on the same level of the house and our adult children live downstairs. It is so close to the city but so leafy and quiet just near the river but five minutes walking distance to 20 fabulous West End coffee shops, 16 bars and over 40 restaurants. Only 2 kilometres from the centre of the city, all the tourist venues and Southbank Cultural Centre - you can walk, catch a bus or go luxury style in a Rivercat Ferry. We have a limit of 12 days to stay with us because we still love some time to ourselves. We have renovated 5 houses and this is definitely The Last Resort - we don't have another renovation in us! It's bright and white, high ceilinged and airy with tropical gardens. There are plenty of different areas to escape or areas to sit and have a chat. You also have to share the house with two loveable and very friendly white puppies. On the weekends we are happy to share a BBQ and some great Aussie wines or just some advice on the greatest places to go in Brisvegas and tours up and down the coast. Our names are Paula and Rob and we have travelled extensively in Europe Asia and the Carribean. My last adventure was 3 months backpacking around South America and we both love to hear about travel adventures. There is a huge gourmet kitchen if you are into cooking, wireless Internet, street parking and cable in the living room. It's a place to chill out and relax, quiet and secluded but so close to the city and all the action. It's a great location to base yourselves for day trips up to Noosa Heads, Australia Zoo and down to Byron Bay. The buses leave not far from here and if we are around we can drop you at the station.
    Quiet, leafy residential area of Brisvegas full of birdlife, possums and bush turkeys with a view of the river. Close to quirky, eclectic, fabulous bars, live music venues, at least 30 restaurants all within 10-15 minutes walking distance.

    My Granny flat is spacious and confortable for two people or a family, it is a no smoking inside flat, it is located at 8 minutes walk from the most exciting neighbourhoods of Brisbane with a lovely cafes, bars, restaurants. You can choose to eat Indian, greek, Italian, Vietnamese, chinese, libanese, turkish (Caravanserai with outstanding reviews). West End also has an excellent market on Saturdays morning called Davies Park Market, here you could have your breakfast and also can say hello to me and taste my delious paella and chilli con carne that I cook in my Stall.
    If you are a couple I recommend you to dinner at Caravanserai some blocks away from my house. The food is Turkish, delicious and good service, little greek is another restaurant and you can not miss the Three monkeys cafe in West End. It is an old house with lots of 3 monkeys... you have to see it :-)

  • Very clean and stylish apartment in a great location, it is a brand new apartment and has a lovely feel. It's extremely close to the river walk, shopping mall, botanical gardens, cafes and restaurants. The building is currently under construction, so the entrance is a bit of a construction zone, but we didn't hear any construction noise during our stay. Make note that this apartment is in the Uptown Building (to the left of the entrance), not the Downtown building. We did have to keep the blinds drawn most of the time as the apartment does look straight into neighbouring office buildings and apartments. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and Sue was very good to communicate with. Highly recommend.

The bedroom was clean and comfortable and the communication leading up to our check in was excellent. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Xavier which was a little strange as people were home but enjoyed our stay nonetheless. If you're sensitive to noise, I'd suggest bringing some earplugs although it wasn't an issue for my boyfriend.

  • Excellent location in a new apartment. Roof top terrace provides amazing views of the city day and night! Nice size gym too. Plenty of great restaurants and nightlife within walking distance. Public transit around the corner. Supermarket, bakery and butcher down the stairs. Good for a short stay, host will need to provide more pots/pans and plates for guests that want to stay longer and cook for themselves. Bring your own pool/beach towels as only 2 bath towels are provided. With a few additional low cost items provided by the host this can be a super apartment to stay!

  • I really enjoyed the space as it was homey and had great touches that Stacie added to make it feel personal. It was clean and tidy which made it easy to maintain. Its in a great location with food options, Woolworths and the train station easily accesible. Close proximity to Southbank and the Theatre a bonus.   • The view from the rooftop infinity pool is amazing. I would definitely stay in this building again. It is a short train ride to central where you can shop to your hearts content in Queen Street. This is a great location where you have everything you need if you don’t want to wander far. Also close to Southbank man made beach & the Art gallery.

  • This apartment was fantastic, on a high floor great views over the inner suburbs to the south. The apartment is conveniently located for all that Southbank has to offer, including a supermarket in the ground floor. The room, the gym and the pool were fantastic. Stacie met me on the day I arrived to make sure I got my car into the secure residents parking facility and then showed me to the apartment. Next time we are in Brisbane we'll definitely be trying to stay here again.

  • Nice and clean apartment. Suitable for a couple or one person. Elizabeth is very friendly and keen to help us a lot during we stay. When we have questions about the apartment, once I text her, she replies me very quickly, which is so helpful. She provides almost all utensils you need for cooking, and enough towels for amenities.

  • Elizabeth’s place was wonderful.. It’s a perfect location, easy access, free parking on the side of the road. The apartment is clean, spacious and fully equipped. Elizabeth was so thoughtful and she prepared everything - including some brekkie, she accommodated my late flight arrival. She was simply a great host! A shame we couldn’t meet, but definitely will try to stay here again the next time we visit Brisbane.

  • This apartment is perfectly situated in the funky "West End" neighborhood- we really enjoyed the laid back restaraunts and attitude. It was also great to have our own private apartment. Very easy to meet and communicate with Elizabeth. Would easily suggest this place to any couples looking for a long stay in Brisbane.

Shower is in bath and is very dangerous, slippery with NO grab rails to get out. No WiFi provided. VERDIT: Pleasant enough for price.

    I loved to stay at "The last resort". Paula and Thommo are so friendly and helpful. I felt like a friend and not like a stranger. The open house with it's patios and pool is fantastic. I loved to start the day with a coffee at the rooftop terrace enjoying the view and the breeze from the river (It's too bad that the Mangos where not yet ripe then). It's easy to get to CBD either by the City Cat ferry, by Bus or by feet. A lot of Restaurants and shops are just about 10min by feet away from the Resort. Highly recommended.
