A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house. It has a 3/4 bath (shower). The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis covered with roses and grape vines set in an English Garden. Also, see our equally nice "Victorian in the Heart of Ballard" rental: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928
A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house with separate access and a 3/4 (meaning shower but no bathtub) bathroom. The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis on the south side covered with roses, grape vines, and wisteria and is surrounded by an English Garden. The pictures posted should give you the right idea. (Alternative accommodation: We also have a really lovely rental space in the main house. See: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928 ) The cottage: there is a microwave, a small fridge, and an electric kettle for making coffee or tea. It offers considerable privacy if that is desired. The bed is queen-sized. Extra high-speed WiFi is also provided along with cable TV, including all of the premium channels. It is also possible to close some giant wood-paneled pocket doors if you want to divide the studio into a bedroom and sitting room, if case someone wants to sleep and someone else does not. The cottage is used as a studio by Liz (who is the English gardener) when it is not being used as a guest house. So there is a lot of (really excellent) art, mostly studies in the human form, on the walls and shelves. (If you would like a cast of one of the statues, talk to Liz.) The Ballard Neighborhood is a great place to visit: *10 minute walk to downtown Ballard with fabulous bars and restaurants, great Sunday farmers market, nice three-screen cinema, and much more. *5 minute walk to the Ballard Locks, where ships enter and exit Puget Sound from Seattle waterways. *10 minute drive to downtown Seattle. Buses also run regularly downtown from close by - either to downtown Seattle or to the University District and elsewhere. Evenings are very quiet here and the air quality is unusually good for a city. We get a fresh sea breeze off of Puget Sound in the early evening. Guests find the cottage a calming and refreshing refuge from the bustle of the city.
Ballard is a fantastic destination neighborhood for restaurants and bars and music. We are an easy walk (5-10 minutes) from downtown Ballard. Great breakfast places even closer.
  • We enjoyed our 3 night stay in Brad and Liz's cottage very much. The furnishings are very comfortable and the art is truly incredible and inspiring. Since we visited during an early May heat wave, we also appreciated being able to sit outside in the lush spring garden. Cats Jasper and Lilly made us feel right at home too! We highly recommend the Salmon Bay Cafe for breakfast....you won't need to eat again until dinner.

  • We had a lovely time. The studio is cool and the cats where vary frendly

  • An easy place to hunker down in to during a rainy Seattle stay, this little bungalow is simply a sweet spot! Brad and Liz both offered engaging conversation. Very accomplished folks and impressively creative with their hobbies and home, I shall definitely look to book here again. Nearby places to eat like the Portage Bay cafe topped my time in Seattle with tasty indulgence and then a nice little walk to the Locks complemented my start on the day. Highly recommended!

  • The Cottage in the heart of Ballard was a wonderful place to stay. Brad and Liz (and daughter Rachael) were very conscientious about being easily reachable. The cottage was cozy and covered in beautiful artwork, the bed was comfy, and everything was clean. The stay was perfect.

  • My mom was visiting from Portland and this was a perfect place to stay. It was 2 blocks from our apartment. She said she slept better than she has in years, the only drawback was the small shower but she got about that. Brad and Liz were readily available and gracious.

    Maren2015-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great neighborhood, easy communication with hosts, quaint studio space. Thanks for hosting us!

    Jordan2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed in Liz & Brad's cottage for our anniversary week-end. It was the perfect place to relax in a beautiful little cottage surrounded by art and the gardens. Liz and Brad were very helpful in suggesting great places for breakfast, dinner and entertainment. All within walking distance. We live in Kingston, across the water from Seattle and our time at their little cottage felt like we were in another world. Lot's to do but a cozy place to come back to and relax. I would recommend their cottage/studio as a home away from home but even better. Darcy Herrett

  • Erik and Pamela have a beautiful cottage. Everything was nice and neat when I arrived, and parking my car was super easy.

    ilya2015-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Erik and Pamela's Capital Hill Stylish Garden Cottage is an unbelievable find in a gorgeous residential neighborhood, just a few blocks from the excitement on Broadway. The studio is squeaky clean, bright and airy. The approach to the studio is through a small gated garden that only adds to the cottage's interior charm. What I truly loved and noticed was how thoughtfully placed everything was in the cottage. One feels much consideration went into putting this space together and how to make it easily accessible by a total strangers. Thank You, Erik & Pamela.

    Christine2015-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • So pleased to be able to visit this space...a great find. Well appointed and the best neighbourhood. Really cannot recommend this rental and these hosts. We are hoping to spend a lot of time in this charming cottage!

    Stephen2014-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous stay at Erik and Pamela's stylish little garden apartment. It was comfortable and beautifully equipped; everything as described and just the ideal location for exploring Seattle. Set in a gorgeous quiet district with tree lined streets and beautiful gardens it was a perfect restful and relaxed location at the end of our mainland US holiday. We were able to walk downtown in 30 minutes and experience the many attractions of Seattle. Thank you. Jan.

    Jan2015-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place at a great location! It's close to capitol hill, downtown, uptown, belltown... if you want serenity and privacy just the outskirts of downtown Seattle, this place is IT. If you really want great views at one of the tall hotel buildings, you can fork several hundred $$ per night but I would rather stay at Erik and Pam's cottage. It's interior is impeccable - maybe except the deer head - and everything from the decor, color scheme and kitchen countertop was sweet! Plus the cottage is separate from the main house and is located in the middle of their lush, green garden. It's a shame that we stayed there only for a night and we will be back.. hopefully soon..

    Sean2013-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect cottage in a quiet neighborhood, but still within walking distance to restaurants and the city. Erik and Pamela have thought of everything that you could possibly need, from a book of menus of their favorite restaurants, to umbrellas near the front door which got a lot of use. It was like staying in a very chic, modern, hotel suite, without paying for a expensive hotel suite room. We would def stay here again.

    Andrew2016-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful home away from home, beautifully decorated, close to restaurants and shops, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We walked from the cottage to downtown every day and enjoyed admiring the lovely homes and streets in the area. We would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay in Seattle!

    Belinda2017-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • THIS IS THE CUTEST COTTAGE. EVER. We absolutely loved our stay at Erik and Pamela's adorable cottage. Every detail in the cottage was attended to: restaurant menus, a hairdryer, cleaning supplies, logs, iphone charging cords, etc. The fireplace was incredible - we happened to visit Seattle during a particularly rainy and cold weekend....the fireplace kept the cottage romantic and cozy. Their place was within a five-ten minute walk of the hippest places in Capital Hill. Should we get an opportunity to return to Seattle again, we will DEFINITELY stay here! I could not recommend this cottage more!

  • This place was an adorable private getaway from city life. Perfect for the traveling artist/yogi/wanderlusting person. Comfortable. Bright. Happy. Peaceful. Zen. I had a blast and Regina was such an accommodating host.

    Lizzy2016-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a great stay all around. The host made us feel incredible welcome and consistently checked to see that we had all we needed. And such a beautiful space! Lots to offer on creativity and imagination. I would definitely recommend and plan to do so with my friends!

    Luc2016-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Regina's cottage. The room is spacious, but felt cozy and bright inside. The bed folded out of the couch, but was quite comfortable! Overall, it was a quiet and restful night. We'd been a little trepidatious about having to trek to the main house for the bathroom, but the doors were only a few feet apart and easily navigated in bare feet. Inside, the bathroom area felt private, like an extension of the cottage. Unfortunately, due to our own busy schedule, we didn't get to meet Regina in person, but she was in good communication with us the whole time and accommodating to our schedules. Would absolutely recommend this as a place to stay - thanks so much, Regina!

    Richard2016-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Regina was so welcoming and accommodating--I had a wonderful retreat at her urban cottage and returned home refreshed and rejuvenated, as I'd hoped!

    Stephanie2016-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Regina was an absolute delight! She made us feel so welcome, comfortable, and cozy. The neighborhood was adorable with quaint houses, and lush landscape! There was water and little snacks in our cottage awaiting our arrival. The bed was comfortable, especially for a pull-out! I hope to stay here on my next trip to Seattle!! Thank you so much Regina for a perfect stay!

    Candice2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay at Regina's cottage. Regina was warm and welcoming as was the space. A beautiful spot to call home on my travels.

  • Such lovely place to stay at during our visit to seattle. It was sunny when we arrived so the open concept was definitely a plus. A few blocks away from gasworks park where you can experience the sky line of Seattle (amazing at night).

This loft guest house is a unique, tranquil space built by the owner himself. Situated on a large property in Beacon Hill, the space has tall ceilings, lot's of natural light and it's own private garden and hot tub.
Beacon Hill is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Seattle, and just minutes from downtown, and right next to the vibrant neighborhoods of Georgetown and Columbia City.
  • Malcolm was a great host. I found his place at the last minute after a reservation with a different host fell through. Malcolm answered my request promptly and gave me all the info I needed to arrive and settle in. The lift itself is great. Plenty of room for just myself, and more than enough for a few people. Everything is well designed and in great working condition. I felt very comfortable during my stay. I will look forward to staying here again and I will recommend this to anyone I know who is visiting Seattle.

    Chris2015-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place and awesome location! Highly recommend Malcolm's place!

    Tracey2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Malcolm's loft it was a home away from home on our honeymoon road trip. A short taxi ride away from downtown. The loft was clean and cozy and we enjoyed the little treats Malcolm left for us, he was very quick to respond to any questions we had and made us feel very welcome. We will be back!

    Laura2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this place. You can tell Malcolm put a lot of time and love into this place. We immediately felt at home upon our arrival. The loft was clean comfortable and warm. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes. We had my brother and sister in law over for dinner and we had everything we needed to prepare the meal.Including the gas grill on the deck to cook our steaks. There was also a washer and dryer in the bathroom that came in very handy. The bathroom was clean and modern.Loved the shower. We did not want to leave at check out time, best place I think I have stayed yet.I would stay here again in a heartbeat.Thank you so much.

  • The Seattle Loft Studio is a very unique place. This was our first Airbnb and we had a great experience having the entire place to ourselves for the weekend to explore the city of Seattle. Malcolm did a great job welcoming us to his home. He prepared detailed instructions on how to get there, utilizing his place, referred us to local hot spots (highly recommend future visitors to consider the restaurants), and he was very responsive and easily available to get in touch if you needed anything. The power happened to go out while we were there and he immediately left a box of candles and a flashlight for us at the front door when we came back - he is a very nice host! Ultimately, this place is definitely one of a kind and has a lot of personality. One of the hidden gems in the city of Seattle. Thank you for everything, Malcolm!

    Jason2016-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely incredible. Best place I've ever stayed on a vacation period.... It is so nice when the place you stay can become part of the vacation unlike a hotel room. The patio, hot tub, and couch are super cozy and relaxing. I am going to recommend everyone I know to stay here when they travel to Seattle. Malcolm made something really special with his own two hands from construction to interior design to landscaping. Only thing to let folks know is although the house and immediate area felt very safe and quiet, parts of Beacon Hill are sketchy. So I would suggest to do grocery shopping and eating out a little further up the highway.

    Daniel2018-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great accommodation and location. Very clean offered everything we needed. Thanks Malcolm!

Escape the bustle of the city and relax in a cozy backyard sanctuary. Sample local craft beer in an Adirondack chair in the garden, and switch on a heat lamp when it gets chilly. Watch a widescreen TV from the bed and make espresso in the morning.
This adorable cottage comes complete with queen bed, hardwood flooring, kitchenette with Farmhouse sink, kitchen island, fridge freezer, Kuerig coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker, and induction hot plate. With a 50 gallon water heater there will be enough hot water for all your needs. The high end bathroom is completed with a Kohler sink, toilet and hardware. There is also a closet to hang and store clothes and bags. The cottage is heated via high efficiency electric infra red heaters mounted on the ceiling. There is also a whole house ventilation system to keep the air fresh throughout the year (the switch to turn hi/low or on/off is inside the closet). Cable TV, wifi and a DVD player are also available. Amazon and Netflix are included on the smart TV for your use with your own passwords. Free parking is available on the street in front of the Cottage/Main house.
The Seattle neighborhood of Ballard has many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, a cinema, bakeries, and quirky stores. The Sunday market is a must. Golden Gardens Beach, the Ballard Locks, and the Nordic Heritage Museum are all close by.
  • We loved our stay at the cottage. Beautiful, comfortable space in a quiet neighborhood, but close to downtown Ballard. Communication with Bev was great, and she was very accommodating. We would love to stay here again. Thank you!

    Johanna2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely self contained cottage in the back yard. We loved the outdoor seating area with the lights. There was also a outside heater and BBQ which we did not have an opportunity to use. The cottage was very comfortable with a great shower and we'll equipped kitchen. We hope to stay again if we get the chance.

    Jill2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Bev & Grant's backyard cottage was the perfect place to stay for our short two days in Ballard. So close to tons of nearby eats, drinks, parks, and other activities. Tried a few breweries in the area, explored Discovery Park, and if you're there on a Sunday, you have to visit the Ballard Farmers Market, just a couple blocks walk down the hill. We rented a car for our whole trip and were glad that we could drive to/park pretty much anywhere in Ballard, very easy! We so loved the warm welcome with a local IPA and personalized card! Truly felt like we were living like the locals, great start to our PNW road trip. Would definitely come back and stay here!

    Lauren2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Ballard Backyard Cottage is a charming, cozy oasis - and it's exactly as described. We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay while visiting our son's family who live in the area. This was SO much nicer than staying in a Ballard hotel. The queen bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, the kitchenette is very well equipped, and the french doors and patio are welcoming. Bev and Grant are delightful and are available to help anyway possible. We look forward to returning!

    Marti2016-11-24T00:00:00Z

  • This was one of the best Airbnb experiences I've ever had! The Cottage is lovely, totally nice, and very comfortable, and Bev & Grant are great hosts. The neighborhood is full of awesome restaurants and breweries and is close to the Burke Gilman biking trail. It was just what we were looking for. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a wonderful stay in a truly local neighborhood.

A note to all future guests: Please ensure you understand our strict cancellation policy before booking as we follow it closely.

  • Loved this place! Amazed by how awesome this spot is! Thank you!

  • Tipsy is a great place to hibernate for a great city break! Welcoming and cozy, ensures you stay warm during the great nights you spend inside it. On the mornings you get woken up by the bright light that comes through as a new day dawns, no alarm clock needed! Would definitely recommend visiting! Would love to be back.

  • This is such a quaint place, very comfortable and close to everything. It’s small and compact but has everything at your fingertips, truly a diamond in the rough!

    Teresa2018-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very communicative hosts that made check-in super easy. They even went so far as to provide us with an extensive list of things to see & do during our stay. If you've ever been curious about the tiny house movement here's your chance to stay in one that is modern, well thought out and beautifully constructed. Close enough walk to West Seattle Junction or through the park to Alki Beach, residential but easy for Uber drivers to find without any issue. A fun, unique place to stay!

  • Our stay in Tipsy the Tiny House could not have been any better! I stay in an Airbnb rental almost every week and this was one of the best experiences I've ever had. If you are looking for a unique little getaway in West Seattle this is definitely the place to book! Lindsey and Chad were the perfect hosts.. Welcoming, communicative and helpful! You can easily see the care and thought that has gone into building this beautiful backyard getaway. My only regret is that our stay wasn't longer!

    Kelsey2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful location to stay at. The shower isn't like other tiny houses that only have about 2 minutes of hot water and the whole place was designed and built by the owners. So special!

Conveniently located near the Island's village & Seattle ferry, this 200sq ft architecturally-designed, eco-friendly backyard guesthouse is the perfect getaway. Ride into town on the bikes, enjoy the hot tub, garden patio and fire-pit. ***Ask us about adding a sailing excursion to your stay!
This is a 200 sq ft guesthouse sharing the property with our main house. *As you can see in the images it is located next to the main house in the backyard. It has it's own bathroom and shower, and mini kitchen - a coffee maker with complementary coffee and tea selection. You'll find a delightful patio garden with a fire-pit and gas grill and hot tub on the grounds. It has it's own bathroom and shower. Like the unit the hot water heater is small so short showers (6 mins) are recommended (unless you like them cold). If you like long showers this is probably not the place for you. If the water begins to lose heat, it only takes about 30min to recharge. A mini-fridge, microwave, electric tea kettle and coffee maker complete the mini kitchen. The studio is flooded with natural light and a full suite of blinds on lower windows provides complete privacy. We also have a pack-n-play available upon request for a baby. Just keep in mind that the space gets pretty tight when it is in there.
Our Island guesthouse is a 15 minute walk from the Seattle ferry, a 25 minute walk to the quaint village of Bainbridge Island (sometimes referred to as Winslow) and only a 5 minute walk, through the back of our neighborhood, to our up-town shopping area: Ace Hardware, McDonalds, Walgreens, Safeway, Family Restaurants & of course a Starbucks. In a car or on a bike, it's all moments away. The neighborhood is full of kind, working families and it's quiet. The place has a unique blend of being close in, while feeling a bit further out.
  • This place was as adorable as the photos portrayed! The only surprise was how close out room was to the main home, but the shades provided nice privacy. Overall very good place

    Nicole2018-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • A great little apartment. Perfect for a short stay. I walked from the ferry and then got on the supplied bicycle that got me around to all the places I needed to go for my work trip on Bainbridge Island. I would highly recommend Ben and Deb’s place!

    Charles2018-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this space! Really is like “small living”, clean and very unique. Close to the Bainbridge Ferry and other downtown shops. Deb was easy to get in touch with and very flexible.

  • Loved this amazing little storybook spot on the romantic Bainbridge Island. The little bungalow was just as incredible in person as it appears in photos. Although it is very small. I’d recommend you spend your time exploring or outside enjoying the yard anyways. The yard was lush and covered in beautiful greenery that you can only dream of when you imagine the Pacific Northwest. The hosts provided us with bikes, helmets and a lock to explore the island. We biked to a winery, to a great pizza place and down to the Harbor. Some hills but not impossible to do and a beautiful ride. Would recommend.

  • Awesome place!

  • The girls and I had a fabulous time in Bainbridge. This quiet space was perfect for us. We enjoyed every second of our stay. It was close to everything. I'd return!

  • The bungalow is perfect for two. Great kitchen area and the bathroom/shower is top notch. Not only is it close to public transportation it is only about a $14 (including tip) Lyft/Uber ride to most of the tourist sites.

  • This hip little studio was perfect for us and we loved every bit of it! Cool features, great views, cozy and comfortable. We couldn't have asked for more!

  • Loved the place and would stay there again if I had the chance.

  • Dan and Kathy were great hosts. Their place is perfectly located outside of the Seattle downtown core in a very nice neighbourhood. Prior to arrival they communicated very clearly any instructions and responded all my questions. The cottage itself is so beautiful amd cozy, perfect for single or couple travelers that are exploring the city. Living so close to Seattle, I had never really visited but after this weekend I'll be back and staying at Dan and Kathy's!

    Alfredo2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic experience. Thank you for being so hospitable, Dan. It was our first Airbnb experience, and it went just as we expected. The place was perfect for us.

    Rhys2016-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • So so great! Everything is clean and tidy. Not far from everything you would want to see in Seattle. Kathy is a wonderful host. She recommended places for us to eat and we were able to talk with her for a bit, too. Definitely recommend!

A private mini home just for you! Enjoy your own private deck and hot tub while staying in trendy Ballard. Way better than a hotel...you’ll feel right at home!
Enjoy your own private mini-home while exploring Seattle. Conveniently located just blocks from downtown Ballard and an easy 15 minute bus ride from downtown, this quaint yet roomy space is perfect for out of town guests and vacationers. The 250 square foot space enjoys its own deck space and a brand new hot tub. French doors open to a private outdoor sitting area just for you. It has a mini kitchen with a 2-burner stove with a mini fridge, microwave, sink and kitchen essentials. This includes cooking supplies like pans, plates, oil, salt and pepper etc. We also have a Keirig Coffee Maker with a generous supply of K-Cups, light snacks and other thoughtful touches. The bath includes a shower with on-demand water and a supply of toiletries and towels for your use. There is a storage closet in the bath for clothes and extra linens. If you are staying longer than three days, I will provide fresh towels and linens for you upon request. The bedroom loft is cozy and features a double size bed. The ladder up to the loft is custom-made to retract from the wall for easy access. When it is not in use, it slides flush to the wall to allow for more room in the living space. The space is "cozy" so if you are tall or have issues with smaller spaces the loft sleeping area may not be the right fit. You must be able to climb a short ladder to get up and down so please be mindful of this when booking. There is a couch which allows for an extra person to sleep in the unit if you wish. There is a blow up Twin bed in the ottoman in sitting area. I also have a portable crib that you are welcome to use. Just let me know. I'm pretty strict about maxing out at 3 guests. Children under 8 are not allowed in the loft area for safety-sake. This rental Includes cable tv with HBO and other fun channels as well as access to wireless Internet. The overall look and feel of the space is what I call, "Modern Nautical". Ballard is an old fishing town that has become the culinary hot spot of Seattle. The colors and lighting fixtures give homage to Ballard's history. There is plenty of free off-street parking and access to one of the best neighborhoods in Seattle is just a short walk away! There are quite a few quick service/family run (no chains) restaurants within a block from the house along with a great fruit stand and espresso shop. Grocery and drug stores are within 5-7 blocks away. The bus stop to a main arterial is a 1/2 block away. A great bakery is only 2 blocks away. This is a great location for those of you vacationing without a rental car. Pretty much anything you need is less than a 10-15 minute walk away. Even if you have a rental car, you can leave it parked and just explore all the fun stuff in Ballard! We look forward to meeting you! -Errin & Olivia
Ballard is a great neighborhood with tons of bars and little restaurants. Just ask me and I'm happy to share some of my faves.
  • Everything was great! Would absolutely stay again. The space was perfect for my wife and me. Thanks!

  • The mini house is great !!! Perfect location , not far from downtown and surrounded with lots of things to see and do . The house it self is very compact and private with everything you need . You do have to climb down the ladder in at night to use the washroom :)

    Sami2014-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Errin's mini house. The house is in a great location within walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. We didn't rent a car but got around on foot, the bus or uber. The mini house had everything we needed, it was clean and as pictured. The hot tub was a bonus after a chilly day and the bed was super comfortable!

    Heather2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb experience and we were so pleased. Errin's mini-home was clean, comfortable, and just had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and we also loved the shower head in the bathroom. We're super picky about water pressure and my husband is tall (6'4") so it's a big deal when we like the shower! The deck space around the mini-home was lovely and we felt like we had our own, private little space. I'm currently pregnant so we weren't able to enjoy the hot tub, but it would have been so cozy. Next time! Errin also had a portable crib available for us to use for our daughter and was happy to help us set it up. It was an all-around fantastic place to stay with our little one. The location of the mini-home is wonderful as well - a cute, quiet neighborhood close enough to downtown Seattle for us to easily do all of the activities we had planned for our trip, but far enough from the downtown area to where we didn't need to worry about paying for parking. We were working walking distance from numerous coffee shops and delicious restaurants. We easily used public transportation and Uber to get anywhere else we needed to go that wasn't walkable. Errin was so friendly and helpful and also great about giving us privacy during our stay. We really enjoyed our time in the mini-home and would love to stay here again for our future Seattle visits.

    Alicia2016-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful home, perfect location. The home was very clean and had everything I needed...the kitchen was great! Errin made such an effort to think about all of the little details to make my stay fabulous! Absolutely fantastic experience, would not hesitate to stay here again!

    Victoria2016-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation out far exceeded our expectations. It was quant and absolutely perfect for a couple and a romantic weekend getaway! Erinn was extremely accommodating and the neighborhood was located perfectly outside of the downtown hustle and bustle. Equipped with a mini kitchen, we were able to get our own fish from Pikes Place Market and have a fantastic dinner in our home away from home. Staying at the mini home provided so many comforts and an absolutely wonderful & memorable experience. I recommend this stay to any couple looking for an intimate getaway.

    Katie2015-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • I would like to thank Errin for completely making us feel at home. We had to call her for directions from the airport and she was kind enough to stay on the phone with us while guiding us in! We were very GPS challenged at that moment. This was our first AIRBNB experience and I can only hope that other sites are as nice and thoughtful for the guest as this one is. Sincerely Jerry and Nancy Odell

Our Little House is easy walking distance from some of Seattle's best coffee, restaurants, markets and retail stores. The house, formerly a garage, was completely renovated in 2013. It sits behind our main house and includes shared access to a courtyard, outdoor seating and a BBQ grill.
The house is 363 square feet and contains a sleeping loft accessed by a ship style ladder. Guests access the house through a separate gate at the end of our driveway, which opens into the courtyard. The house is quiet and comfortable complete with a kitchen, small fridge, living area and bathroom. The queen sized bed is new as of September 2016. When Benjamin was 9, he vacationed with his family in a loft style cabin. His love of lofts started and grew from there. Originally built as a guest house for family and friends and used as an occasional home office, we decided to open it up to travelers who want to visit Seattle and in particular our community of Ballard.
Ballard is a popular Seattle neighborhood with a rich Scandinavian heritage and history as a "sleepy fishing village." Ballard isn't sleepy anymore. Our neighborhood is hopping with retail, nightlife and great restaurants. Independent shops including two record and CD stores, an independent bookstore and many non-chain restaurants and retail stores. We have easy access to the Metro bus just one block away from our place. A short 15 minute ride by car or bus puts you downtown near the WA state ferries, Pike's market, the Space Needle and Seattle Center. Golden Gardens (one of our favs) is two miles away and has a beach including views of the Olympic mountains and the Puget Sound. Our Airbnb guidebook has recommendations for many of our top places. If you are looking for something not covered in the guidebook, let us know and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
  • We loved staying there for a short visit to Seattle. This little house is beautiful and really quiet with a really private environment. There are a lot of restaurants and places around the area, which gave us a quite convenient way to get some foods and have a chill walk. We also loved the design of this little, it is comfy and cozy. The window on the rooftop was so cool and creative. If it happens to be clear night without raining, you might be able to watch the stars before going to sleep, but this window could be some problem when you want to sleep a little bit late in the morning because the bedroom would be super bright. The location was great but it is quite far away from downtown Seattle if that's your main visiting area, but you can get an uber to get there from downtown Seattle in like 15 - 20 minutes. That's why we rented a car later. The host was super nice, Benjamin responded me as soon as I asked him some questions, and he also prepared the house for us before the check-in time. The conversation was smooth and great. Overall, this is a cool place where you can spend your own private time in Seattle.

    Lucas2017-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • The little house is perfect for 1 single or a couple. I enjoy the calmess and the beauty of the garden. No need to have a car. The host is available and helpful. He gave clear informations about resto and places to visit. I would highly recommand this place.

    Fabienne2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at the little house. Property was in a great location for exploring Seattle. The local area of Ballard had many restaurants and bars after a day of exploring. Also a 24 hour super market within walking distance. Benjamin was very helpful and went the extra mile with plenty of soap, snacks, water coffee etc. The little house was very clean and modern, with a lot of unique design features. Thank you again for making our stay in Seattle a wonderful experience.

    Mark2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Benjamin was extremely welcoming, funny and kind. My boyfriend and I had the best time staying in his adorable "Little House" and in the very walkable hip neighborhood of Ballard. The house was absolutely charming and we wished we could have stayed longer and cozied up. Can't recommend it enough!

    Liz2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place! Great location!

    Greg2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is simply amazing! It's cute, cozy and perfect to get the full on feel of the atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest. In Ballard, it's close to everything - the weekend market and great restaurants. Non-Ballard destinations such as downtown Seattle or Bellevue, require a drive, public transport or an Uber or Lyft.

    Chad2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, very clean, quiet and comfortable. Very short walking distance to quaint shops and cafes. There was just enough space for two people and it never felt cramped. The hosts clearly paid attention to detail, making sure the house was fully stocked for new soaps, paper towels and tissues, and fresh towels and linens. We loved looking at the stars from the large skylight above the bed. Didn't mind climbing a ladder to get upstairs- (except it kind of sucks doing it in the middle of the night to use the bathroom). Place was well designed and location is excellent. Would love to stay again on my next visit.

    Jordana2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This little house was perfect for us. It was comfortable and felt like a home away from home. It's in a very nice neighborhood and we had no problems getting around town. The owner was super nice and provided a lot of great info about the the town and attractions. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends and family.

  • Really clean and comfortable. Maddy is really nice. West Seattle is a good fifteen minute drive from a lot of neighborhoods that I was visiting in Seattle. Also, the unit is 50 or so feet off a main road so the street noise can be loud at times if you are sensitive to that. For the cost, it's a really good value.

    Dan And Elise2012-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Maddy was a very helpful & responsive host. She responds quickly and professionally. Her place is exactly as described and the place was beautifully put together. The neighbourhood was very quiet and safe. It was easy to get around on the bus with the bus stop being right across the street and a bus route guide, which she provided. The heater worked wonders and noise issues. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice, quiet, affordable place to stay while in Seattle. Loved it!

    Amanda2015-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • From the beginning to the end, our stay at Maddy's place was great! Maddy was very quick at responding to my initial booking request and all the way up to checking out was very straightforward and easy. My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary trip and were pleased with the cleanliness of the place and plentiful toiletries and other necessities that were provided to us to make our stay just that much more comfortable. The space itself is fairly small but I do still think it's comfortable enough for two. It is literally a walk across the street to catch the bus to go downtown. Downtown Seattle is just about a 15 min drive as we decided to rent a car instead. We never had an issue with street parking! Even with traffic, probably took us no more than 30 mins to get downtown. Maddy also left plenty of brochures if you have no idea where to go, and also provides a few recommendations for eateries nearby. Although we did not get to meet Maddy, she was very friendly via email and text. Definitely recommend staying here for a more affordable option without sacrificing comfort! Thanks for making our anniversary trip just that much more special, Maddy! We truly appreciate it!

    Amanda2014-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • I was very comfortable and the place was exactly what I needed, great location. It was also very clean and well organized. Maddy was also available if I had any questions or needed anything. Great experience and would recommend staying here.

  • Cute space. Just as advertised. Host has lots of information for you to look at and help you get around the Seattle area.

  • I live with roommates, so I needed a place for my parents to stay during their visit. Maddy's place was close to mine, which was convenient. My parents enjoyed their stay, were very comfortable, and would stay there again. There's a bus stop right outside, a shopping center that is a brief walk away, and West Seattle is a great access point for the city and for Sea-Tac.

    Amy2014-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Maddy was very responsive and accommodating. Her place is exactly as described. We thought we would have problems parking on the street, but there was always a spot even after coming back at 1am. The heater worked wonders and the bathroom was perfect sized. No noise issues and the place had a small fridge, coffee maker, and microwave with a small countertop. It was perfect for us as we were outside enjoying the sights most of the time. The bed was very comfortable along with the awesome comforter to stay warm. It came with extra towels and hygiene supplies as needed. It was everything we needed. Thanks Maddy!

    Elaine2015-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Nice location, although it may be hard to explore without a car. About 20 mins away from DT Seattle. A lot of available parking, and conveniently located near stores and food places. Super cozy! Has one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! I would definitely stay here again!

  • Very clean and perfect place to stay over night. Very updated with three bathrooms!

    Kristin2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fern was a pleasure to deal with and the suite was immaculate. It was very central to many of the areas we visited and we couldn't ask for anything more!

    Henry2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fern was a terrific host. From being understanding about our late arrival to giving really good suggestions of things to see, to coming through for us in an emergency restaurant recommendation! Always quick to respond. Accommodations were as described. Beds VERY comfortable; and was extremely nice each having our own bathroom off our bedroom. Bathrooms very modern and stylish. Apartment very clean. Only concern was getting the box you punch in the code to access the apartment to work... but with perseverance that always worked also. We felt it was an excellent location to use public transportation; short hop to transportation center and nonstop buses direct to downtown. Which, although we had a car, and really appreciate having a parking spot, (parking is a MAJOR issue ANYWHERE in Seattle) it was awesome not having to drive downtown and very fast. Thank you Fern for a terrific stay.

  • Andrew and Anya were both very friendly hosts. I had a very busy schedule and did not get much of a chance to interact with them. The check in went very smoothly, as Andrew was still up when I arrived later at night. The room is exactly as described.. Spacious, cozy, comfortable, private! Would definitely recommend!

    Megan2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew did a wonderful job of making us feel welcomed and comfortable during our stay. The location is close to the airport, or a 15-20 minute car ride to downtown Seattle. We were provided with various tourist site brochures as well as maps of the areas too, which was great for us, as first time visitors to Seattle. The room was large and clean, and we had access to a tidy private bathroom- and the added perk of the use of their laundry machines. Over all it was all great and we would definitely recommend staying here!

    Rachel2016-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Clean! Also private. Pretty, with just the right amenities -- not over the top. We wish we had another trip planned to return there already.

    Craig And Elisabeth2017-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Love me some Anya and Andrew! A-squared! Their home is quaint. Very accommodating hosts. 15-20 minutes away from all the tourist spots and down town Seattle. The drive over the bridge is a sight to see as the cities skyline slowly peeks over the top. A truly beautiful area with great hosts!

    Gracie2015-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Security & public transit are a plus in this very large space with wi-fi & Netflix clean private bath, close to SeaTac. I felt very secure with this location & the extras in security by the home owner. Bus stop was a block away from home. Room is in lower level & very quiet. Lots of brochures for touristy guests & info on local eats available. Laundry facility clean & a definite plus.

    Colleen2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great value! Easy access to freeways to get downtown. Andrew and Anya were very easy to communicate with. Wonderful stay!

As soon as you enter the building’s spacious, beautiful lobby, you will notice the well-equipped 24-hour gym to your left. At the first chance you get, take the elevator up to the rooftop deck and you will be treated to awesome views of downtown and the waterfront. The rooftop deck also has a comfortable lounging area and is fitted with BBQ grills. The apartment itself is a modern open one-bedroom with hardwood floors and excellent furnishings. The huge windows provide ample light and a spacious feel to the condo. We have furnished this place such that you will feel absolutely at home. Between the plush queen bed and futon (which unfolds to a full size bed), this apartment will comfortably accommodate 3 guests. Apart from the towels and linens already laid out, there are many more to spare in the closets. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances & is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, serve and enjoy a wonderful meal (How about taking the food upstairs and making a picnic out of it). We think Internet is a basic utility and provide dedicated high-speed Wifi. There is a 43-inch HDTV with complimentary Netflix. Please note, we do not provide Cable on the TV. The Roku box does provide you access to news and on-demand programming. There is also TV with cable in the common lounging space. Come live like Locals in one of the most premium buildings of Seattle! It is a No Smoking Building, so we will expect you to respect that. Parking : Parking in the building can be arranged ( based on availability) at $20 per day. Although if you are staying in the center of the city you don't need a car at all.
  • This is a nice little apartment very conveniently located. With the instant booking, setting this up was a breeze. Sid sent me all the instructions. I had a question about the keys and he was super prompt in responding to me. Couldn't ask for more. I would definitely stay there the next time

    Amritansh2014-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Check in and Check out is easy. Sid responded instantly with questions I had about the apartment before I booked and responded quickly to my texts the day I arrived. Great location! We walked everywhere to eat and explored pike place market.

  • We had a great stay at Sid and Neha's place – it was right in the middle of everything and they were even courteous enough to let us check in early when our plans changed. We walked everywhere and didn't miss having a car a bit. The toiletries and in-unit washer/dryer were a nice touch for a longer stay in Seattle. Would absolutely stay here again or at another of Sid and Neha's properties!

  • Lovely little apartment. Very clean and in a great building in a cute neighbourhood close to everything you could need.

    Lauren2016-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Sid was an awesome host! He kept us updated with information leading up to our stay and informed us that we could have an early check-in. He asked us if we needed parking or other special accommodations which was appreciated. The place was clean and in a great location! We walked to the brewery located just next door and to the public market each morning! It was also close to popular attractions and public transit. We enjoyed our stay! :)

    Nicole2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sid's place was great! Everything was walking distance or a short Lyft ride away. The rooftop view was incredible. We will definitely love to stay here again.

    Olivia2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very very nice apartment to stay at for our visit to Seattle! It came with everything we needed! The location was perfect and we were able to walk everywhere. Pikes Place was just a few blocks down the road and Shiro's Sushi was just around the corner! We went on the roof of the apartment at night and it was an amazing view! I really enjoyed my stay here and I would definitely recommend Sid's apartment! :)

    Lydia2016-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a prime location. You can literally walk to Pikes Place Market, the Space Needle, and downtown. It's small and cozy and clean. The bed was also pretty comfortable. While the lower portion of the view from the window was just an alley, the upper part displayed a nice view of the sky. Sid Carlson was also a great host that had easy and understandabke instructions. Would definitely recommend staying here to anybody trying to explore Seattle.

  • Marcus meet us at the door, and was very helpful and friendly. I love Columbia City so I knew the neighborhood. The place is very modern and clean. I loved the upper windows that just captured the tree tops. The place is just as great as the pictures. Great proximity to the Sound transit.

    Janice2016-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay. The place is very clean and very convenient from the airport and into downtown. Communication from the host was commendable. The time spent by the host to provide a plethora of information, guides, maps and amenities is above and beyond! I would love to return to Seattle and I would love to stay here.

    Carrie2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • The neighborhood was so great. Still very much a Seattle-feel to it mixed with a friendlier small town environment. Marcus and Lara were great: understanding and accommodating to a few small, special requests we had to make. Likely we'll stay here again!

    James2015-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and we found the studio was just as described. Wonderfully clean and perfect for our two day stay in Seattle. Marcus was very responsive and helpful. Thanks for a great stay.

  • Great place with everything you need, was a perfect stay. Also love Empire Cafe just down the road.

    Cal2015-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and hospitable host. This location was perfect for our short stay on our way to Canada. Marcus was great, spending some time letting us know all Seattle has to offer. If we are ever nearby we will look for this listing. Thanks!

    Tomas2015-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in Seattle and explore this nice city. Marcus is very friendly, downtown is really easy to reach, the place is clean, quiet and very comfy but close to many shops, movie theatre, bakery and coffee! Thanks!

    Aude2014-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is within walking distance to the train and a strip of restaurants and shops. It’s a small studio but perfect for 2 people and with it’s own parking space (for a small-midsize car). If you dont have a car, just be mindful that access to the studio it’s a short walk uphill and a few stairs. Otherwise, it’s the perfect place to stay in Seattle.

  • This place was amazing, especially for the cost. It is more than centrally located. It could not be better placed. The parking situation is a little hard, but if you don't arrive after midnight, you should be fine :)

    Tessa2016-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is literally around the gum alley, walking around downtown Seattle you can't be any closer. The only downside was that we got a bit of a heat wave during our stay and the room were on the warm side but for Seattle (especially so close to the water) I would say that is pretty rare.

    Lola2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great clean place in an awesome location. Definitely recommended.

    Donnie2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described in the listing. Perfect for couples who want to explore downtown Seattle.

    Jasmine2017-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is by far the best location and apartment you could ask for when visiting Seattle. Everything is absolutely walkable and it's so easy to use public transit from here. The apartment was very clean and it was even ready early for us which was super helpful! If we come back to visit again before moving we will 100% stay here. Again, it could not be better located. If you're staying here, get the Seattle Citypass for stuff to do and it's all within minutes of this place. The reviews speak for themselves!

    Kellee2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay at Matt's and Dan 's place. The communication was really smooth and the apartment very clean. It was a bit loud though so could not sleep in the night.

    Emmanouela2016-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great space! It was exactly what we needed for our last night in Seattle and perfect location. Loved it! Easy walk right to Pike's Place Market, right close to the great sushi of Japonessa, and Pike's Place Chower. I totally recommend seafood in Seattle! We really appreciated it, since we are from Nashville. Matt and Dan discounted their spot for a short time and we were able to snatch it up for the night, last minute. Thanks, guys, so much!

    Katrina2016-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to follow instructions to get into apt. Amazing location. We walked to the market for breakfast every morning. Apartment was clean. Nicely furnished. Would stay there again.

3 blocks from Alaska junction, this 1 bedroom apartment is easily accessible- you will have the whole place to yourself! Plentiful free parking, and family oriented quiet neighborhood with very low crime makes this location ideal for a Seattle Stay.
Easy access in and out- this unit is on the first floor 2 feet from the sidewalk.
West Seattle offers a unique neighborhood experience while being 10 minutes from downtown.
  • Its very updated which was nice, but the construction outside made it loud at times. It was about a 15-20 minute drive to the main part of the city (about a $15-$20 Uber ride) which is nice. If you have a car there is space available, however I think getting around with Uber/Lyft is much easier. There was a grocery store and bowling alley (among other things) about 10 minutes away by foot. Overall a nice stay, especially for the price compared to some other listings. Thanks Thomas!

    Cody2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place will do. It's pretty basic apartment but a good value for the money. It's much nicer on the inside than we expected when we first pulled up. It was clean, had board games to play, and a play station, so not much to complain about. The only issue for us was it was a bit further from Downtown Seattle than we'd have liked (as we were going there often twice a day) but that's not Thomas' fault. Other than that, good value for the money.

    Rob2017-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Highly recommended

    Will2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re wanting a great location without any frills then this is the place for you. The space couldn’t have been in a better area. I traveled with my son, 22, to Seattle and we did not rent a car. The town of West Seattle was a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment and I felt very safe in all the surrounding areas both night and day. If you have a car parking is slim. If not Public transportation, Uber, and Lyft are plentiful. You will have what you need while you’re there but don’t expect soap or shampoo and there was no trash can in the kitchen. We had plastic garbage bags and I lined a paper bag from the grocery store to keep under the sink. From a sleeping perspective I would say it’s great for two people if you’re sharing a bed. The bed was great. The pull out couch wasn’t the most comfortable but it worked for a few days. Overall it was perfect for our time there.

    Bridget2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, simple, stylish and as advertised. This is a comfortable, convenient spot for a few days in the Seattle area.

    Sean2018-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice apartment with everything you'd need. Lots of free parking space and easy bus access to Downtown Seattle. Thomas was a great host!

    Anni2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • An all in one package for a super value; the place had free WiFi, Netflix, Hulu as well as simply being a neat place with custom color led lights that really pull some BIG MOODS if that’s what you’re into

Wake up to spectacular views of the Sound and Mt. Rainier from this 700 sf 2-story cottage on waterfront property with Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier views. Enjoy the southern exposure beach picnic area w/ fire pit, bbq, hammocks, and lounge chairs. Kitchenette, wood stove (wood provided), queen bed in the open loft & a 26" wide daybed, and a full-size sofa sleeper on main fl. Cozy, rural, quiet and comfortable! Leashed pets welcome. (May not left alone in the loft. $40 pet fee applies.)
The bathroom, eating space, kitchenette, and wood stove are on the main floor and the sleeping area is upstairs in the open loft. The Loft has a spectacular view of the water. There is a queen bed and a narrower 26" wide daybed upstairs that work for a small adult or child, and a full-sized sleeper sofa on the main floor. There is space to sleep at the beach, on the bulkhead,in a tent in the summer if you have one to bring along. There are stairs to the south facing, Mt. Rainier view private beach. Orcas sometimes visit, seals and otter pass by, and there are eagles perched in the trees most the time. The property is fairly remote, quiet and private, and the beach is lovely for walking and beach fires. Point Robinson Lighthouse/Park is a 7 minute walk along the road or beach. If the loft is booked, consider the two other guest spaces on the 40 acre property: The Coach House at Wildwood (sleeps 4) and Wildwood Barn Studio (sleeps 2). It is a short walk through the forest to a private beach (separate from the Loft beach) for beach-combing or relaxing on a beach blanket. Click on the icons near Loft & Beach on the map to see photos, availability and pricing of the Coach House at Wildwood or Wildwood Studio. The Loft and bluff yard are available for celebrations of up to 65 people (weddings, reunions, family celebrations, birthdays, photo shoots, etc.) May - September 30. Inquire for availability and pricing. Loft & Beach is an ideal location for small events: baby showers, weddings, birthday celebrations, reunions, film production, photo shoots, etc. There are unobstructed views of the Sound and Mt. Rainier from the bluff, on-site parking, and you can use any vendors you choose for food, music, etc. During events the entire property and all the cottages are booked, so you won't have an event going on if you book just the cottages or loft! Vashon Field and Pond, the entire 40 acre property including the cottages and Bluff house can be booked for larger events (up to 500 people) year round. The exteriors and interiors have been featured in The Seattle Times Pacific Magazine, Country Living Magazine, Sunset books, in catalogs (Cutter & Buck most recently) and in film including Anthony Bordain's "No Reservations" (aired Nov. 19, 2017 on the Pacific Northwest show). Celebrities have chosen to be married on the property - it is truly a stunning place to be! We are very familiar with how to coordinate details of large and small productions and events to assure your time here is a success and exactly as you want it to be. PLEASE NOTE: Summer Saturdays are blocked on the calendar until April 30th for weddings and other events to book. After April 30th the cottages can be booked separate from the venue for summer dates.
Rural, peaceful with a spectacular view of Mt.Rainier. Other than our house, there are no visible neighboring houses. We have horses that pasture next door, Point Robinson lighthouse park and a marine park for beautiful hikes and picnics. The hammocks at the beach are up in the summer and there is a fire pit at the beach for grilling over the fire and making s'mores. 40 acres of privacy await you! If you are interested in hosting an outdoor event at the Loft, Mid-May through late September, for up to 60 people, the yard/property may be leased with the loft at an additional cost. We also can accommodate large events for up to 500 guests on the adjoining property. Please let us know if you might be interested in hosting an event and we can discuss the options. ( There is also a private 40 acre property nearby with the same lovely southern exposure and fabulous Mt. Rainier view. It has parking for up to 250 people ($2,000 & up per day) and can be leased for outdoor events May - September. The Loft can be used as honeymoon suite, dressing area or guest quarters, and there are two other overnight accommodations on the property: Wildwood Studio and The Coach House at Wildwood. Please inquire for further details.
  • Our stay was so amazingly beautiful and serene it felt absolutely magical!!! I loved everything about vashon and the beach loft. Lisa and her daughter are wonderful! couldn't have had a better stay. Will definitely be returning! :)

    Natalie2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa was great, property was absolutely beautiful, I can't imagine anyone not loving it there! Can't wait to return!

    Kathleen2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Gosh, where to begin... we spent the last 2 nights of a 2 week vacation at Lisa's loft. It was fabulous and Lisa was charming and absolutely approachable. The grounds are large with resident wanderers: a friendly orange tabby, terrific dog, 5 gorgeous black ducks and a couple of chickens! The menagerie was charming and welcoming .The loft is spacious with a second floor bedroom space that looks out over the sound which was peaceful and PERFECT :-) Not really a full kitchen, but small appliances / supplies are available for limited cooking. This worked out just fine for us, though, as we had lots of left-over items from the previous 12 days. Would suggest mapquesting written instrs to help with your arrival. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend this property and host !!! Thanks, Lisa !

    Peggy2014-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa was very welcoming and provided us tips on our stay in Vashon. The Loft is a beautiful space, delightfully decorated and the view is very relaxing. We had fun making fires in the wood stove, which made it very toasty and cozy. We loved the surprise visits from her pets, including the chickens!

    Sonia2014-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • This loft is such a beautiful spot. Every little detail is just perfect. Someone must have been an interior decorator or architect in another life. Lisa was very accommodating and every thing we need was close at hand. I definitely plan on coming back.

    Micah2015-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was even more beautiful than the photos showed! We had perfect sunny springtime weather and got to see the magnolias blooming out the bedroom window. The sense of spaciousness was amazing, enhanced by the views of the water, (Puget Sound) as seen through those spacious windows. The big decisions in a day staying here were whether to cook or picnic, sit out under the starry skies or cozy in by the wood stove. Quite a relaxing space. Thanks for sharing your land and this great guest house!

    Jana2015-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a absolute gem. You will not regret staying at the Loft!! The view was spectacular, the hosts were kind and helpful and the home was clean and delightful. Thank you for letting us enjoy it!!

    Lissa2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Two nights' stay at this spectacularly scenic property were not nearly enough! The fantastic view, friendly animals, beautiful bouldered beach, cozy, creative loft and wonderfully warm host were so much more than we were expecting when booking Lisa's property, and we couldn't have asked for more. We didn't want to leave, and we will absolutely be back to Vashon sooner than later!

100% self-contained studio loft attached to main house overlooking small city park. Nothing is shared. 160 sq. foot 1st floor with kitchen (gas stove/full fridge) plus 140 sq ft loft bedroom climbed via ladder, plus full bath with washer/dryer. Fully furnished (linens/pans, etc). "Flexible" check-in means unit is ready by 1pm, or earlier if prior guests left early (you can drop off bags early). Late arrivals are fine. Check-out time is 12pm, or later if the next guests are arriving later.
While our house is 110 years old, this cottage is only 25, and was built by a contractor given the task of "creating the feel of a Vermont cabin." It is your own space, with private entry, and is separate from our other unit on Airbnb ("Private entrance and central"). Queen bed in loft. Through your windows you will see lots of trees, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and endless squirrels. Inside you will find art from our many travels, including India, Brazil, Mexico, Morocco, etc. We supply pots/pans/towels. Just bring your clothes. Two caveats: First, if you don't feel comfortable climbing a ladder to your bed, or climbing down a ladder in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, this is not the spot for you. Second, while the first floor ceiling height is 7 feet, the upstairs loft ceiling is shaped like an "A-frame" roof, with the center being around 6 feet, sloping lower as you crawl into bed. Our first tenant of 7 years was a 6-foot female, who was quite content. Both her and our later tenant had regular-visiting boyfriends who seemed just fine without banging their heads. But, if you don't want to duck as you get into bed, this is not the spot for you. Two guests only - sorry, no extra guests.
"Madrona" is one of the most central/desired neighborhoods in Seattle. You can walk 45 minutes to downtown, or in the other direction to Lake Washington or in another direction to the vibrant Capitol Hill. Or take a 20-30 minute bus ride to each, or drive there in 10 minutes. Within a 10 minute walk you have access to a supermarket, roughly 15 restaurants, 2 coffee shops, and a bakery around the corner from our house.
  • Se mostró muy amable y me apoyó en todo lo que necesité.

    Carlos R.2016-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks, Phil, for being such a great host (making sure that this tourist had all of the tools needed for a trip to Seattle) - and for being so accessible. This cabin is a great size for two guests (though, tall guests will have to use their noggin when in the loft space and not stand up too quickly - bonk). Street parking was safe, the neighborhood was quiet, and downtown was incredibly easy to get to (maybe 12min by car). We were working remotely and appreciated the zippy WiFi (thank you!) as well as all of the natural light. Also appreciated was that our hosts recycle and provided receptacles for this. A fine home for travelers who want to see it all, but still have all of the comforts of home.

    Marcy2014-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Phil and Andrea are very accommodating, gracious hosts! There are explicit instructions to answer all your questions, and contact info if you have more! Everything around the area is as described, and the service and access the cottage provides is everything you could want! I couldn't recommend this cottage and it's hosts anymore :)

    Michael2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my husband celebrated our 20 year anniversary and had the most beautiful experience. This was my first time in Seattle, using Airbnb, Uber, and flying this experience couldn't have gone any better. The owners were easy to talk to, gave us directions, and respected our privacy. Their communication was superb from the time I booked. Since, we had no experience on how to use Uber they were more than happy to help us. Phil did offer wonderful suggestions on different places to go in Seattle, local store we could walk to, and places to eat. There was bus route information in our room and they were more than happy to give us directions where to catch the bus. We were treated to wonderful delicious pastry's made by Andrea from their Coffee House. The small house had everything we needed. It was spotless and decorated beautifully. A full kitchen with all supplies, comfortable bed, the washer and dryer was a plus, and so was the bathtub. There was a relaxing space outside where you can listen to the water fall and meditate. The neighborhood was clean, quiet, and relaxing just perfect. It was close to public transportation, which was nice. We were able to take one bus downtown and to Pike Place Market. There was a few places to eat within walking distance to the house. My favorite place to eat was Fats Chicken and Waffles. I would like to thank both of you for making our experience so wonderful. We could have stayed there FOREVER! Kathy and Frank

    Kathy2016-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Phil was very accommodating. He supplied the personal touch of a 'welcoming' pastry and directions to nearby sights. My favorite was the coffee shop just around the corner. Usually I use (Hidden by Airbnb) , but I would use Airbnb again because of my experience with Phil and his apartment.

    Beth2015-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Phil was delightful and accommodating. He greeted us when we arrived and gave us good advice about transportation and the city as well as recommendations for local restaurants. The space is adorable and was perfect for our needs. We loved the lofted bedroom and the backyard is serene and idyllic. Also there is a giant park next door that is very lush and beautiful. Oh and we got yummy vegan treats in the morning courtesy of our hosts!

  • I loved staying at this place! I would recommend it to anyone! It was a great location. Phil was so kind and helpful and was very respectful of my space. The space its self was cozy and perfect for what I needed. Everything was clean and there were notes everywhere in case you weren't sure where a light switch was etc. There was a washer and dryer in the unit and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again when I come back. Thank you so much Phil!

  • This was our first time using air bnb and it could not have been better. The cottage was nice and cozy and had just what we needed. It was a great central location to everywhere we were going. Lovely neighborhood as well especially being right next to Noras Woods. Phil was very nice and offer3d is help of we needed It. The treats from the bakery were delicious. Would stay again. :)

Our little log cabin is back in action! We are back in the main house after living in the cabin for a year: a fun adventure! About the cabin, it's mostly heated by the wood fireplace. Kitchenette has microwave, 1 burner, mini-fridge, dishes etc. upstairs is full-sized bed
Sweet restored stockade style log cabin right on Haller Lake. You would never know you were within the Seattle city limits! Haller Lake is a quiet, natural spring fed 15 acre lake surrounded by private homes. Custom woodwork inside with artful touches. Sleeps 2 upstairs in full sized bed. Main floor has comfy sofa, kitchenette with microwave, single induction burner cooktop, coffee maker, toaster and small refrigerator, teapot, dishes and glasses; 3/4 bath with new stone tile shower. This cabin is heated mainly with the wood fireplace. The photos show the old wood stove. You can now watch the flames and there is a fan to spread the heat around a little better. There is also a deLonghi oil heater to add a little more heat when needed. There is no TV but there is WiFi. Bring slippers, the stone floor gets chilly. Fish from the dock or take a ride in the paddleboat. We just got a canoe! (The boats are out of the water in the winter). No pets please! We are now living in the main house. We have an Australian Shepherd and a flock of chickens and ducks (the dog and chickens do not come into the cabin, just in case you were wondering) Parking is shared with the main house. It's close to Northgate Shopping Mall with shops, restaurants and Thornton Place Cinema. A few blocks to Northwest Hospital and the new proton center (look up ProCure Center) The lake is about 20-35 minutes from downtown Seattle via I-5 or highway 99 (can be a bit more in heavy traffic). Bus route #346 has a stop at the end of the driveway. If you are interested in having a party or many friends over, please clear it with us before making your reservation. We have limited parking and there is no parking down our communal access road. Check out by noon, Check in no earlier than 2pm, sometimes later if I can't get the cabin ready because of work. To be agreed upon according to schedule. If you want an early morning check-in, please book the night before.
  • We had such a relaxing time at the cabin. The cabin just puts you into the mood that says come in and relax. The yard and lake were so special. We especially enjoyed sitting on the dock with the beautiful view. The lake was so quiet and calming. We truely enjoyed the quiet time at the lake and the cabin.

    Diane2012-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic! This is a really great find and a wonderful price for Seattle.

    Jake2013-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is an absolute paradise; you feel like you are far away from the city. The lake is sparkling clean and warm for swimming. I can't imagine a more perfect get-away location!

    Marianne2013-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Just about any English superlative-st adjective I can use to describe this place is going to be inadequate and insufficient for the purpose of this review. I would rather mention some details we particularly appreciated in no particular order: Spotlessly clean inside and outside, small but well designed interior, complete privacy unless you want to chat with the smiling neighbors, dock on the lake with several chairs and two paddle boats, a selection of fishing poles for the guests, fresh fruits on the table on our arrival, every effort made by our hosts to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. And my fiance who is currently working on her English says the correct spelling in this case should be "Hosts". After Seattle, Helen and I stayed a few days at MGM Grand in Las Vegas - in all fairness I should say that the place is very "grand" and quite "nice" if I am using the adjectives correctly. Roberta and Dan - thank you very much.

    Arsen2011-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The best place to relax when going to Seattle. You must stay here when you come. Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing with awesome hosts. Thank you Roberta & Dan!

    James2012-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!! This cabin is beyond charming and the backyard, dock and lake are the perfect backdrop. Roberta was very kind and made our stay easy and comfortable. We sincerely appreciate the chance to spend a little time here and hope to return! We could not recommend this cabin more! Thanks so much Roberta and Dan!

    Evelyne2013-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • They were awesome. Picked us up by surprise in the rain at the bus stop. They checked in with us everyday to see what we were doing, how things were going and if we needed anything else. But they also gave us privacy. The cabin is also amazing. Beautiful location and it's close to a lot and several different bus stops. Highly recommended.

    Samuel2011-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning and serene little cabin! Great hosts with kind hearts, literally 9 minutes to the Union and 5th Ave parkade in downtown Seattle (smack in the middle of shopping and restaurants). The lake is gorgeous and for the most part mirror calm first thing in the morning! Honestly could not be better, won't stay anywhere else in the Seattle area anymore (unless all of you read this and keep the place booked).

This lovely, modern room and ensuite bath is detached from the main house, so you can enjoy privacy and quiet. We are a 5 min drive from Ballard and a 15 min drive from downtown. Welcome to our quiet, safe neighborhood!
For those who would like more privacy than that offered by a room in someone's home, this detached bedroom is a perfect choice! The bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam topper. Power strips on both sides of the bed allow for cell phone charging. Wireless internet and cable tv are provided. There is a small, walk-in closet so that you can unpack and feel at home. The full bath has shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap, as well as plush towels. The windows bring in plenty of light and fresh air in the summer and there is also an air conditioner, and the floors have radiant-floor heating for the winter months. I have created a small area to enjoy hot beverages and quick meals. There is a mini-fridge, a hot water kettle, and a French press for your convenience. I provide orange juice, a variety of teas, freshly ground coffee, hot chocolate, instant oat packets, granola bars and fruit. I'll also bake scones or muffins on one morning of your stay. With dishes and two chairs, you'll be able to have a quick breakfast before you head out for the day. There is a hair dryer and umbrella to use as well as beach towels. If you need or forgot something, let me know, and I’ll do my best to accomodate you. The guest suite is attached to our garage. The garage will not be in use between the hours of 9pm and 9am. However, during the day, family members will occasionally open the garage door, which can be heard from the guest room. Please note that there is not a full kitchen or laundry facilities in your guest suite. Our guest suite is not kid-friendly. Babies and young children are not a good fit for this listing. Ages 12 and older are welcome, as long as your child is part of the 2 person max. Thanks!
Ballard is known as one of the hippest neighborhoods in Seattle. Come to Ballard for amazing restaurants, micro-breweries, and coffee shops; come to shop at the boutiques on Ballard Ave; come to check out the salmon run and the boats coming and going at the Locks; come for the year-round Sunday Farmers’ Market; come for the Golden Gardens beach with views of the Olympics; or come just to walk one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Seattle. Let me proudly advertise an area just two blocks away from our home. Seattle Met named it “one of the city’s best food micro-hoods.” You won’t have to go far to enjoy these amazing restaurants: Honore Bakery, with French macarons that rival those in Paris; the Fat Hen, a light and cheery cafe that serves great breakfasts and coffee; Delancey’s, where locals line up for amazing wood-fire pizza; Essex, serving mixed drinks and bar food especially for foodies; and Brunswick & Hunt, providing farm-to-table fare. I have a notebook full of suggestions of where to eat as well as where to play while you are here. If you'd like, I can email you my info so you can plan ahead.
  • Excelente lugar , muy buen ubicado, mantienes la privacidad y te da muchas recomendaciones.

  • *Disclaimer* - we didn't stay here, we rented the room for my sister who was in town visiting. However, we spent time in the room and met Debbie as well. The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, the scones and other treats delicious and the radiant heat floors a nice touch. Debbie was kind and super easy to communicate with and even took extra care to make sure her dogs weren't around the yard when my sister was at the room (she's allergic). The neighborhood is adorable, safe, and close to some fantastic restaurants. We'll definitely be renting the room again for future visiting guests!

    Chad And Kate2015-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie's guest house was the nicest room we've ever stayed in- airbnb, hotel, or otherwise. Absolutely recommended for anyone staying in the area. It's a quick drive to central Seattle, located in a beautiful neighborhood, and provided all the qualities of the "ideal" place to stay. Debbie provided a binder full of answers to every question we could've had and recommendations of places to go nearby. Coffee and snacks were included, along with the perfect balance of privacy and accessibility. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your fantastic home Debbie, couldn't have asked for a nicer visit anywhere. I would pay money to be able to give her 6 stars.

  • Friendly person and a great place to stay.. Totally recommend it

    Hasan2016-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cheerful, sweet place in a terrific location with easy parking and access- and a very friendly and accommodating hostess who clearly enjoys that role. Concise for sure, but we like that kind of coziness. Couldn't wish for anything more. The privacy is such a bonus- my husband could play his ukulele first thing in the morning without worries of disturbing the household! Like like like!!!

    Annie2015-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This airbnb is in a lovely residential neighborhood in Ballard. Our host Debbie was great at communicating in the days leading up to our stay. The suite is exactly what it looks like and is the perfect spot for a couple or single traveler. Debbie has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible from shampoo, air con, luggage stands, and she graciously made us scones in the morning (which were too delicious). We will definitely stay here again!

    Missy2015-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was just as wonderful as the other two times we've stayed here. Debbie is a super hostess and the room is very quiet, comfortable and peaceful.

  • Debbie was wonderful and super accommodating! When you talk to her, she makes you feel very welcomed. Her house is absolutely gorgeous. When we stayed with her, she definitely provided us with a homie feeling. She also provides a lot of helpful tips and good places to eat and visit. If I do go to Seattle again, I'll definitely try to stay at her place again.

Our house is the perfect space to stretch out an relax while visiting Seattle. With views of Lake Union, a close ride to downtown, Capitol Hill, Fremont and Queen Anne, our little corner on South Lake Union is as private and convenient as it is comfortable!
This peaceful, private cozy apartment is conveniently located within our home with a separate entrance and amenities.
Our neighborhood is residential but central to so many fabulous parts of Seattle. We are 1 mile to funky Fremont, 2 miles from Capitol Hill for excellent brunch spots and shopping, 3 miles to beautiful Ballard, 4 miles from downtown and Pike's Place.
  • Muy buena opción para alojarte en Seattle. Sotano independiente, con terraza. Cama muy comoda y con cosillas para desayuno. A 30 min andando del centro y 15 min del Spaceneedle.

  • Clean, comfortable and affordable!

    Courtney2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable place and plenty large for one or two people. Also a good sized closet for clothes. There is no kitchen, but that's clear from the listing. What you do have is a fridge, lots of tea, a coffee maker, water boiler, plates, cups, fresh filtered water. Christi was friendly, helped me with the washer/dryer, and I got to meet her pets :). The location is south of Fremont, so I ended up bussing a few stops go get to "downtown" Freemont. Really nice view of downtown and the lake too! Very close to two critical bus lines to get around the city.

    Taylor2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I can't begin to describe how wonderful everything was. We had a blast and a great night's sleep thanks to Christi. I do hope when my girlfriend and I come back, her AirBnB is open again! Thanks, Christi.

  • Stayed on a Saturday night in late April. It was easy to find based on the picture of the carport online. Very steep driveway so wear suitable shoes! Easy to get in with a code. Chocolates to welcome us. Concrete floors (basement) and living area was very cold. Floors could have used a wash. One heater which was in the bedroom area so living area never got warm. Bath has a heat light. Couch and loveseat were comfortable. Bed a little on the hard side but new sheets and fluffy, warm comforter. Filtered view of Lake Union from the huge deck with treed lot. Mini frig. and coffee pot with sugar and milk/cream.

    Kathy2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy place, easy to find in a tops location with a cosy bed!

    Dominic2017-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Christi's place was clean and perfect for a weekend trip to Seattle. It's not quite in the city center but easy to access with a quick bus ride or a lyft/uber. The only caveat is that we were using the lower level and could sometimes hear the creaking from the room above us. Didn't bother us too much but it could be something to consider. Other than that, Christi was quick and responsive which made this a great place to stay. Would come back here again.

    Regina2018-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here. Christi was very kind, helpful, and always available to answer questions. The home was clean and cozy, and conveniently located to everything. The view from the porch was also awesome. Highly recommend staying here, thanks Christi!

Come stay in my cozy and spacious apartment! I do my best to make sure every guest is taken care of. I have a luxury bed and provide breakfast food for your convenience. Your home will be an older apartment, with lots of natural light, in the heart of Seattle's vibrant South Lake Union neighborhood, near Amazon, convenience stores, restaurants, and beautiful Lake Union. Comfy and clean sheets, towels, toiletries, TV with Netflix, and a blanket are provided. This will be your home away from home!
  • Amazing host, great size place

  • location was great. lots of great coffee shops and pubs in the area. was met where we were having lunch for an easy and convenient key exchange. i wouldnt exactly rely on the breakfast as sufficient but plenty of options in the area. would stay here again if i came back to Seattle.

    Nicole2018-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • We have never given a bad review and feel almost every property has redeeming qualities. The sheets are very nice flannel and there are 4 pillows to choose from but they are white and we lived in constant fear of getting something on them. He's been known to demand money from others due to a "stain". It's difficult to know how bad/difficult the stain was, but it made us uncomfortably cautious. It was nice having Netflix, Roku, etc. It was great to have a portable fan because there is NO Air Conditioning, even though the description clearly says there is. This building and the windows does not allow air conditioning. To be fair, most older apartments in Seattle do not have air conditioning but it was quite stuffy in the evenings and opening the windows helped a bit. We would like to comment on the breakfast items, but there was only expired Nutella, frozen sliced bread, expired oat meal.....you get the picture. In all fairness, we didn't complain to Matt and are unsure what he would have done to remedy it. Bring your own fry pan as his is flaking the non-stick coating. There's a corner deli/cafe/convenience market close by for breakfast or breakfast items to cook. The apartment is not located in the location "bubble" and is much further North East of the bubble. It's about 1.3 miles (26 minutes) walk from Pike Place Market. The bus stop going to most southern locals is about 3 blocks from the apartment. The bus stop from most northern locals, like Woodland Park Zoo is 7 blocks from the apartment. It is a short 0.4 mile walk to the Lake Union Park where you can rent a sailboat or take sailing lessons. Parking was available for about $45 per night or Matt can help you arrange in advance a parking spot for $20 per night or $100 per week. When we stayed we didn't have a car. Those prices are subject to change and you can contact Matt to arrange. The price we paid was a fair price for Seattle but we would have appreciated it more if the facts about breakfast, air conditioning, and location were honest.

  • Great location and comfortable bed. Very responsive host.

    Levi2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is clean and well-equipped. It’s very clear that they put a lot of thought into the available amenities. The neighborhood is quiet and there are lots of little shops and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment was central to all of the places we wanted to visit. Check in and check out were easy and convenient. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to stay at this spot again!

    Angela2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location - walkable to the hot spots in Seattle - clean comfortable place - with wonderful host - who is super prompt and accommodating!

    Simmy2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • This airbnb is exactly as pictured, and was great for our one-night stay. It was easily accessible by Uber with a number of restaurants within walking distance. We did not spend too much time in the apartment, but for sleeping at night, the street was quiet and the bed was VERY comfortable. The additional amenities were wonderful, including a white-noise maker, phone chargers, shampoo/body wash, and chocolate mints. Highly recommend as a place to stay in downtown Seattle.

  • I had a fabulous time at Matthew's place. Super clean, airy, great location and his patience/responsive communication with me when I had trouble finding the place because I transposed the address. I loved being able to walk to restaurants and the suggestions he made for food and entertainment. This is a quick Uber ride to other great neighborhoods too.

I was super excited to find face-wash and shaving cream in the bathroom, and not to mention a bluetooth radio in the living room. Absolutely well thought out and cozy. And having a quick look out on the roof is a must, the views are marvelous!

  • We had an amazing experience at Marian's studio. The space was pristine and well-designed and the view was fantastic. Marian was super communicative which made getting there a breeze. The space isn't *right* on the water, but it's an easy downhill walk a block or two to get to the beach. We loved the Alki Beach area and it was also super easy to get to other parts of Seattle.

    Noah2014-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Marian was a great host. She made an effort to see us and make sure everything was set for us. The location is great with a fantastic view right outside. Street parking was easy to find and not too far from getting to downtown.

    Wayne2014-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The view is fantastic. The bed was great and is quite slept great.close to water front and to restaurants will be staying again

    Milt2016-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was just as Marion described and her communication was excellent, hassle free. It is clean, sleek and modern and well appointed. Location to the beach is awesome, easy walk - mind the hill! Views of the Sound and Olympics are ideal for sunsets. If it is cold/cool weather note that the radiant heat in the concrete floor takes a long time to heat the room. We were excited to be there and took off to the beach after unloading, and should have taken a moment to bump up the heat first. If you are looking for an awesome place to stay in West Seattle, you have found it - look no more!

  • Marianne was a great host and the apt is new, tidy and clean as description. The house is pretty comfortable for 3 people, but also 4 can fit well.

    Alessandro2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was as advertised, clean, easy to access and in a great location just blocks away from the Westlake shopping area and light rail stop.

    Justin2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place was in a great location. It was very close to nearby hotspots like the Pike Place market. The apartment was very comfortable and simple. The host was very on top of things and reliable. All in all it was a good experience.

    Nicholas2015-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, bright, clean and easily walkable, we enjoyed our stay.

    Pierre2017-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you! Unfortunately, not all the information about the unit was accurate. Great location and all we needed for 1 night in Seattle but it was a little pricey for what we actually got in the unit.

    Margaux2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment and great location. Check in and directions to the apartment were very straightforward.

    Kelly2018-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Marianne's place was super convenient and the house rules document was super detailed. The apartment was clean and easy to live in and easy to get around from (we just walked everywhere and uber/lyft when needed). Unfortunately the washing machine wasn't working and the noise from the radiator woke a couple of us up at night (one person slept through it haha). The road noise wasn't an issue at all however! The kitchen (gas cooking!) and bathroom and in general the living space was cosy and made for an easy stay.

  • Rachel's place was very cozy

    Betsaida2017-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel was a wonderful host. Very detailed in her information and the loft was as cozy and perfect as she said it would be. I would love to use the same location again in future trips to Seattle. It was easy to access the areas we wanted to explore and within walking distance of a few bars and restaurants as well.

    Hugo2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in the cozy loft was great as it was convenient enough to downtown and close to interesting places to browse and eat, not to mention the fabulous view from the balcony which is a great private space to unwind! Staying at the loft studio really was about staying in a little home which for me was a nice change from a hotel. I will just note that the climb to the loft bed was novel and quite fun but might not work for anyone with mobility issues or vertigo!

    Cate2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot. Loved the view. Stairs to bed a bit steep. If climbing stairs is an issue you might have a problem.

    Jim2017-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel was a perfect hostess. Her little apartment was so cute and comfy, a nice refuge from the busy city. She was great with communication and very helpful. Parking is a little tough... but that's Seattle for you. I highly recommend Rachel's cute little pace for your next trip to Seattle.

    Alycia2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great. We really enjoyed it. The bed was super comfortable. Everything was clean and stylish. It was everything we could hope for in a loft apt so close to Seattle. Rachel was always quick to respond and made everything super easy.

    Megan2018-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • It was such a pleasure staying at Rachel's charming apartment--while we did not get to spend much time with Rachel face-to-face, she was always accessible and prompt in responding, making us feel incredibly welcomed. This is all to say nothing of her amazing book and poetry collection! Highly recommend for those looking for a cozy enclave in walking distance to much of downtown Seattle and Capitol Hill.

    Jonathan2016-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • I found the loft to be beyond my expectations, and Rachel was a great host. She accommodated my later check-in time with no hassles whatsoever, and I appreciated her communicativeness. The loft was clean and homey, and I loved the ambiance and view. I found the location to be very convenient, with everything that I needed within walking distance, and I felt completely safe. It was only as I was checking-out that I realized that she had provided fresh baked muffins — a very thoughtful gift!

  • Great stay, very convenient location for our group. Minutes walk away from Pike Place. It is stuffy in the Airbnb because there is no AC in the unit

    Angus2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Well positioned property with decent facilities, but more of a hotel room feel than a home from home. Would be great with a few additional touches.

    Peter2017-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • There are 4 garage doors, pick the correct one.

A private cottage in First Hill/Capitol Hill. Close to everything Seattle has to offer, this cottage has charm and all the comforts of home. Near amazing food and fantastic coffee. The cottage has a very comfortable full sized murphy bed.
The cottage is very private and located in the backyard. Access to the cottage is through a sliding gate along the left side of the house.
The 12th Avenue corridor is full of yummy food, great coffee and fun nightlife. Near Capitol Hill and Downtown (1.5 miles) this is a great quite spot with easy access to all of the fun Seattle has to offer. We are located by near bus, light rail and the Seattle Street Car. Nearby Restaurants: Ba Bar (any noodle bowl) and Lemongrass (chicken curry) are great for lunch or dinner. Café Presse is my favorite for Breakfast. Cherry Street Coffee is perfect for coffee anytime. Shopping: there is a corner market on 12th Ave a couple of blocks north of the apartment. There is also a gas station on 12th and Cherry just south of the unit.
  • Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. While it's small, it had all of the essentials and would be perfect for one person or a couple (or any 2 people that are comfortable with each other, as the glass shower was outside of the bathroom). The location was fantastic as well. We were able to walk to most of the popular areas within the city, and there were many great restaurants within a block or two of the cottage. During our stay, there was an issue with the power within a portion of the cottage. We reached out to Jessica and she responded quickly and kindly. It was a holiday weekend, but she went above and beyond to get the problem resolved that day. Due to the cleanliness of the cottage, the location, and Jessica's responsiveness, we would surely recommend the cottage to anyone looking to stay in the area.

    Andrea2016-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great self-contained space, close to public transport that gets you to the centre of Seattle in 10 minutes or 20-30 minutes walk (but all uphill if you walk back!) plus a great local restaurant (Ba Bar) and bars in walking distance around Capitol Hill. Only downsides were the noise from the neighbours who partied until 4am on the Saturday night and a very soft mattress.

    Steve2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location. Great space for 1-2 people. Unit had items to use which makes it very convenient. Being able to have parking was awesome. Great walking distance to cafes and coffee shops. We enjoyed the stay and the location a lot!

    Krystina2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was beautiful and everything is as described! We arrived with the car- it was all the time easy to find a parking spot. The cottage has everything you need for a stay in Seattle! We highly recommend this cottage.

    Sarina2018-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in Seattle. Wonderful location for walking downtown and to Safeco Field. Cherry Street Coffee became a daily stop for us! Be sure to take in the Market and the Great Wheel!

    Denise2018-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica's cottage has everything you need and it was exactly according to the photos, was comfortable enough for our 2 nights stay. The check in process was very smooth. The huge plus is, she provides a free resident zone parking permit which allowed us to leave our car without worries. Jessica even nicely allowed us to use the parking permit when we arrived prior the check in time. She provided few basic needs that you might forget to bring from home. I was thinking at that time how thoughtful, generous and caring she is... The location of the cottage is great, very quiet and yet close enough to downtown, many good neighbourhood restaurants and also Capitol Hill. We left the car on the street of the cottage and walked to downtown which was easily reachable about 20 mins and took uber/lyft to come back which was so worth it after walking around the city for the entire day. The cottage had a plumbing problem happened before our check in time but it was not Jessica's fault. She wouldn't know in advance. Jessica handled and solved the situation properly and apologized to me many times. Her effort was very much appreciated. There's no doubt that she is a super host. The communication with her was easy, clear and she responded promptly. I recommend her place to anyone who visits Seattle.

This is a detached, completely private apartment. It has a full private bathroom with shower and tub, a private keyless entrance, and a kitchenette with a small refrigerator. Entrance: Check-in is easy, because the door is secured with an entrance code that is not reused. No keys to get or return! We send you your code and you can enter at any time day or night without arranging a time for us to give you keys. Privacy: This is a 100% private, detached unit. Parking and Driving: There is free parking available on 30th Avenue or on Dewey behind the unit. 520 is about 5 minutes away, giving you very quick access to either I5 or the East Side. Transportation: There is a ZipCar at 24th and Madison. There are usually Car2Go cars on Madison near by. The bus stop is at E Madison St & 28th Ave E, less than a five minute walk away. Downtown is about ten minutes on the 11 bus. The 8 bus provides quick access to Seattle Center, Capitol Hill, Rainier Valley, and the Mount Baker Link station. Internet: Free internet of course. We *don't* currently have a TV in the unit. Fine Dining: Madison Valley has some of Seattle's best dining. Our favorite reastaurants within a five minute walk are: Luc, Voila, La Cote, and Belle Epicurean (all French), The Harvest Vine (Basque), Cafe Flora (vegetarian), and Jae's (Asian bistro). Fast Food: Pagliacci Pizza is located one block North East on Lake Washington Blvd and Madison. There is also a Pizza Hut (carryout or delivery only) and a Terriaki place on Madison and 28th. Groceries: For groceries Trader Joe's (Madison and 17th) and Safeway (Madison and 22nd) are within walking distance, but be aware they are uphill! Convenience Store: Madison Valley Market (Madison and 29th) is less than five minutes away and has lots of groceries, snacks, beer and wine. Coffee: The Essential Baking Company (Madison and 29th) is a great place to grab a cup of coffee and a snack, or a full meal. Belle Epicurean is also a good place for a quick cup of coffee. Bed: This is an Ikea Hemnes king-sized bed with mattress and boxsprings. Bath: You get a full private bathroom with a soaker tub, shower, and plenty of towels. Kitchen: You have a half-sized refridgerator with freezer in the unit that you can use. There is also a kitchen sink, a microwave and a small (two person) coffeemaker. We also provide a tea kettle, a hot-plate and a small sauce pan. (Although we don't recommend this kitchen for lots of cooking as there is no kitchen exhaust fan.) Safety: This is one of Seattle's safest neighborhoods. Since you're in our backyard, we're around in case you need any assistance. Health & Fitness: Lila Yoga (29th and Madison) is a fantastic yoga studio. Kate's Day Spa (2713 E. Madison Street) is an excellent place to relax, and is open on weekends. Seattle Shambhala Center is a Buddhist Temple and is located two blocks down. It has an Open House (good for beginners) every Thursday evening. Arboretum: The best thing about this neighborhood is the Arboretum. You're less than five minutes away -- just cross Madison. Arboretum highlights include hiking, canoeing and kayaking, picnics, a full soccer court, and enjoying the year-round collection of magnificent flowers, plants and trees. The Arboretum also houses the Seattle Japanese Garden, open from February to November, a 3 1/2 acre formal garden. It features a lake with koi and turtles, community room rentals, tea ceremonies and special events all year round. At the north end of the park is Foster Island, which is an amazing and peaceful place to visit, with pedestrian trails that connect the island to the mainland. Madison Park: Madison Park is within walking distance, although a longer walk than some may want to take. In the summer this park becomes Seattle's access to swim in Lake Washington.
  • Wonderful guest house. Comfortable and very quiet. Great bed--a king, I think. Easy street parking and, as described, a couple minute walk to great restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. Fantastic!

  • Julius was very prompt in replying to our questions, and as this was our first airbnb experience, that was reassuring. The unit was as described with the additional treat of a few ripe cherry tomatoes growing by the front door. Clean and tidy, quiet, and with everything you need to settle in or venture out. We were in Seattle for a family wedding, and it was delightful to have a little nest to come back to after some of the events of the week. Other than family events we did get in a walk through the Arboretum and down to Madison Park, which was lovely!

    Penny2014-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it. Exactly as described. Very clean, comfortable, beautiful, full of great books. I didn't meet Julius but everything I needed was provided.

    Victoria2014-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great neighborhood, comfy bed, good books! We really enjoyed our stay.

    Hanna2014-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Recently stayed in this cute little house in Seattle with Julius. It was great, the place was up to the description and the area it is located in is very convenient if you want to go down to the Space needle. Although i did not have the chance to meet Julius, the communication via email was great. Totally recommend this place, you will love it! Thank you Julius.

    Sandra2015-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience! Easy check-in since Julius sends a key code -- no coordinating keys. The space is very clean and there is ample room to put personal items. Parking on the street is no problem. Great area -- super close to large park with lots of walking/running trails. Would definitely stay here again!

    Jamie2015-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was very quiet and private. The room was well appointed but would benefit from a trash can in the bathroom.

    Jill2015-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice place to stay! It was extremely clean. Minimally-supplied kitchen, but with all the great restaurants near by I did not want to cook! Neighborhood was very quiet (or the studio is exceptionally well insulated) and felt safe. I had no qualms about walking alone after dark over to Madison for dinner. Communication with J was easy, and the key-less lock system works great. (Except when I forgot to turn on the porch light and had to fetch my flashlight from the car so I could see the little numbers!) This is definitely a place I would stay again.

  • A very good appartment in a really good place of Seattle : pionner square. Everything is near this appartement : Subway, Starbuck, supermarket and parking. And the bar the Merchants, of course!! The appartement is cute and practice. If you have a very light sleeper, take earplug but it's ok for the others.

    Sandrine2014-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Easy check-in/out. Darcy was attentive to our needs, which is unusual in the world of customer service these days. The accommodations were delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    MaryJane2016-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • My female friend and I enjoyed our stay for one night in Seattle here. The apartment 203 was cozy and so cute and true to the photos. Just a reminder there is no elevator so if youre a heavy packer be ready for some lifting ;) The bed was so comfy and we got a chance to do a load of laundry in the washer/dryer. Overall a nice comfy spot for the last night of a long trip. We sat and people watched from the window for awhile. There's a small square in view and we saw several groups from the underground tour walk by to see the oldest restaurant in Seattle. I would say the only con was finding a place to park our rental car. We ended up paying $28 for the Butler parking garage very close to the apartment. Which worked out just fine, we just weren't accustomed to city parking! We made sure to not leave any items in our car and had no troubles to report. The bartenders of Merchants, Hannah and Justin, were extremely helpful in checking in and answering any questions we had. We did not go out for drinks when we stayed here because we didn't want to walk home through the surrounding area alone. We did however have a drink at Merchants and had a nice time.

    Kaitlin2015-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Darcy's place was wonderful and the staff down at the Merchant provided wonderful service. Right in the heart of the action, great for a short weekend stay. (The club downstairs may be a little loud for some!)

    Kristopher2015-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Darcy met us at the bar below the apartment. She had us right up into the apartment in no time and showed us around. She also was able to provide us with a parking deal for the garage we left the car in and wanted to make sure we parked in the right one to keep our vehicle safe. She let us know that any needs could be handled by the bar staff below the apartment (we didn't have a need for anything, everything was as listed.) The apartment was just as the photos showed, very cute (and small!). I loved the history of the building... it used to be a old brothel and is part of the cities history. Be sure to read the warning about the noise, it was very loud on Friday and Saturday night with the people outside and the club next door. It didn't bother us, but since it was very warm we had to keep the windows open which the noise carried right inside. It is a very central location which was great for sightseeing and restaurants... however it should be noted to be careful at night, a lot of the homeless of the city seem to sleep in the park across the street. We didn't have any problems, but we did notice emergency vehicles showed up sporadically to deal with them during our stay. I would recommend this place for an authentic city visit and close location to so many great places. Really enjoyed our time here.... and the bed was SO comfortable!

    Sam2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Darcy is amazing - I was so appreciative of her super quick response rate! And also her customer service was great. On arrival, because of the hot weather, there were a few flies in the room; she got the bar to send over bug spray right away and I was thankful it all happened really quickly. The apartment is in a great location, it was clean and it was a comfy bed! I didn't experience any of the loud noise mentioned in the other reviews, but I stayed on a Monday night. The apt does get hot and there are fans, but that can get quite loud. The dryer was also on when I arrived and seemed to go on forever, so every now and again, there was noise from there throughout the night. Overall, for the location, it's good - I could take walks to Space Needle and to Pike Place Market, really easily. It's also only a 5-10 minute walk from Seattle amtrak station. Good for if you're on a flying visit for a night or two.

    Nisha2015-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Darcy's Seattle studio was beautiful, cozy and tidy... not to mention perfectly centrally-located right by 1st Ave in downtown Seattle. We discovered the best parts of the city within a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Check-in and check-out was easy with help from the cafe downstairs (the oldest restaurant in Seattle!). All in all it was a wonderful stay.

Guests enjoy a completely private separate-entrance studio apartment fully equipped with private restroom, kitchenette, work space, and ample storage space. Guests have full access to the private back yard & laundry, free street parking ,and a mile walk to Puget Sound or 15min drive/taxi (35 min bus ride) to downtown Seattle.
Tucked above our garage, and with views primarily of the sky and treetops, you'll feel the stress melt away as you enter into your own private sanctuary. Recently remodeled, comfortably furnished, with a new 3/4 bath and washer/drier on the lower level, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster you'll have everything you need for comfort and convenience. The full size bed with a new memory foam mattress topper is nestled under two skylights. We've slept on it, and think it's one of the more comfortable beds we've ever slept on (and our guests agree!). We can also accommodate your kids (10 and under at no extra charge), or up to 2 extra adults with sleeping bags on the carpeted floor.
Tucked a few blocks back from a major thoroughfare, our home feels akin to quiet suburbia, but with all the nearby amenities of a big city. In less than a 15 minute drive, you can be in the heart of downtown, or nestled on a ferry headed out to Vashon Island to escape the hustle and bustle. It's only a mile walk down to Puget Sound where you can watch for whales, sea lions, seals and bald eagles (we've seen them all!), and on a clear day catch breath taking views of the sun setting behind the Olympics. Don't want to go far? Our favorite pub is less than a 10 min walk away, and serves the most amazing tacos! Ample and free parking along the street. Space for bikes in our locked garage.
  • I was only staying with Sarah and her husband for one night, but it was a wonderful experience. They really do give you your own little house! And the skylights are so pretty! It is very private and exceptionally comfortable, a fell asleep at 9:30pm! They even give you breakfast, there are honestly no problems at all! I travel frequently for work and live mostly in hotels so it is very nice to stay in places like Sarah's- they have thought of every detail to make one feel not only cozy but welcome in their home. I would recommend this location to everyone. I hope to have more time soon to visit (or work more likely) in Seattle because I would love to get to know their neighborhood- and of course this lovely family- a little better! Thank you, dudes!

  • We drove up from California so it was nice that street parking was available right out front. The space was accurately described and the few short interactions we had with Sarah and Chris were very pleasant. It was a short stay for us in Seattle, but it was nice to have a comfy place to come back to at night.

  • We stayed at this beautiful small and cosy apartment for 6 days and we enjoyed every moment of it. We are even sad to finally leave now. It felt almost like home. You'll find everything you need here, starting with a comfy bed, a fridge, microwave and even your own bathroom with a great shower and private toilet. The family's house and the apartment, which is in the backyard, is located in west Seattle. You'll find everything you need here, grocery stores, gas stations, bars and restaurants, just as described by Sarah. You can drive to downtown Seattle by car or call a ride with uber or Lyft or simply take one of the buses. There is one route (21) that's just a 5 min walk away that'll bring you right to the heart of Seattle for just 2,50. And not to forget about the hosts, although we haven't spend much time with them, they were super welcoming and hospital. Sarah showed us the apartment upon arrival, gave us tips on where to go in the neighborhood. Whenever we had a question, we could send Sarah a text message and she replied within seconds. You can feel from the beginning on that she loves to host people. 11/10 we would come here again. Oh and did I mention that they have chicken in a coop at the backyard? They rock! Everytime you come home they line up in order to greet you. Or they are just waiting for food ;) but I always had the feeling that they were happy to see us. :D

  • This is a very private loft in back of a house on a quiet street. Very easy place to stay.

  • Sarah and her husband were great. They communicated check-in and arrival well. The place was conveniently located for where I needed to go to in Seattle the next day. It was quiet and comfortable and I was easily able to find on street parking!
