  • Stephanie and Steven are way cool. The location was perfectly situated for those of us who really appreciate the Wicker Park area. Their place is very tastefully designed and very chill.

    Ben2012-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Steph was great. Very accommodating. The location is tremendous, close to Division and Milwaukee: a chill neighborhood but two blocks from great food, shopping and people watching. The value vis a vis hotels sold me.

  • Don’t hesitate to book a couple of nights in Stephanie’s ”Urban Oasis”. This cozy and artistically decorated apartment is situated right in the hip Wicker Park hood, close to the coolest shops, bars and restaurant in Chicago. Stephanie is great host. We are glad to have met her.

  • This urban oasis was the perfect fit for a couple trying to get the most out of a few days in the city. The house is devastatingly beautiful; the cats are quirky and loving; the room is cozy and private; the location is great for accessing all that Chicago has to offer; and our hosts were the definition of accommodating. When we return to Chicago, we will definitely be contacting Stephanie for our urban reprieve at the oasis.

  • LOVED this place. Checking in & out was a breeze and very clear instructions were provided as soon as I booked. I had a question while there and the response was immediate! Even though you don't meet/interact with the hosts, you can still tell how much they care by how quickly they respond & the helpful info they provide. It's decorated beautifully & looks just as pictured! The bed was super comfy and the Mexican restaurant downstairs has great food. It's also great having a personal garage in the back. Would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in the Chi!

  • Great place to stay, awesome room and living space with a nice balcony/deck.

    Drew2018-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for a couple days during the week for a short getaway vacation. The apartment was clean, trendy, and very comfortable. The weather was really nice during the week and the private balcony was a plus. The apartment was in a great location which was quiet but easily accessible. The restaurant below had great food and service. I would definitely recommend Dasha and Owen’s home - it was perfect!

    Maneesha2018-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place that is just the right size for two people.

  • Beautiful space!!!

    Kaila2017-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Dasha's place was fantastic! We went to a game at Wrigley Field and spent a day downtown. Everything in the space was as described. The location is removed from downtown and Wrigley, we found it best to use Lyft to get around. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone.

A breezy, charming garden level studio, one block from the train, off the Boulevard System, and blocks from Lagunitas Brewery, Cinespace, and Douglas Park. Pilsen and West Loop night life just a short train ride away. Situated in a quiet corner of Little Village, our neighborhood of predominately Mexican and Black multi-generational families is teeming with tamale stands, paleta vendors, and children playing.
The Roosevelt Suite is the garden unit of our building, that we own and occupy. Recently rehabbed with the experience of our guests and quality of their stay in mind, we created a space that is private, comfortable and practical. The suite features a queen bed, a sleeper sofa, a 3/4 bath (shower, no tub) and a kitchenette that allows for light cooking. The kitchenette has a coffee machine, microwave, hot plate, mini fridge and toaster oven. We provide granola and dried fruits, as well as yogurt and cream. If you’re staying during the winter months, we suggest maybe bringing a pair of slippers. The ceramic tile floor isn’t heated and it may get chilly for some guests. Please indicate if you would need the sofa sleeper set up when booking.
We're walking distance to Lagunitas Brewery and Tap Room, Cinespace, and Douglas Park. Our train stop is the primary one for Cook County Criminal Courts and Jail. There are walk-up taco joints, sit down Mexican restaurants, grocery stores, and a Planet Fitness within three blocks of the house. The neighborhood is predominately multi-generational Mexican and black families. Kids play on the sidewalk, parents upkeep their properties, and grandparents sit on the stoop.
  • James and Dom's place lived up to my expectations of it! Can't say enough for how close it is to the L stop. They were super quick at getting me information and are professional hosts! Hopefully we'll get another chance to stay with them in the future.

    Lauren2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • James and Dom were lovely hosts. The space was just beautiful and such a nice home away from home. Conveniently located right at a subway stop. Could not recommend more.

  • Accueil chaleureux. Il répond aux questions, est agréable. Petit dej à disposition super.

    Christiane2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • James and Dom’s place was amazing. It’s in a super convenient location to public transportation. We had no problems finding a parking spot on the street and had no issues during our stay. The space itself is adorable and has everything you could need on your stay. We would definitely stay here again!

    Katie2017-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect place to call home for a night in Chicago. Really comfortable bed, especially after a long trip from the west coast. The neighbourhood was fine and it was a short uber to downtown ($15). Excellent communication and seemless check in process. Great job Dom and James!

    Eimear2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is gorgeous!! Make sure you bring slippers or extra socks, cause the floor is cool.

    Courtney2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • James and Dom were awesome. Their place was super stylish and cool!

    Melinda2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at James and Dom's place was one of my top airbnb experiences. The space is so beautiful with many thoughtful touches around the apartment. They are so talented at creating a beautiful space, that I wish I could pay them to remodel the inside of my home! They were extremely helpful hosts, with very clear instructions and great recommendations for the local neighborhood spots as well as the greater Chicago area. I'd definitely stay there again the next time I'm in the area.

Penthouse loft in the heart of Chicago's lively, vibrant Wicker Park neighborhood! Blue Line "L" train stop half a block away gives easy access to downtown & O'Hare airport. Wicker Park has music, art, night life, amazing food and shopping all outside your door. This loft has character! Pool table, full kitchen, back deck, big screen TV. Movies "High Fidelity", "Wicker Park" & episodes of "Shameless" filmed outside. I look forward to hosting you!
Exposed brick, penthouse loft apartment located in the heart of Wicker Park, 1/2 block from the Blue Line L train stop, which is 30 minutes directly to Ohare and 10 minutes to downtown. This is a shared space, but it's huge so there is plenty of room and privacy. Hosts are upstanding professionals with 5 years experience as Airbnb hosts. We are very respectful of our guests and their privacy - it's very important to us that you feel at home while you're here!

Your trip in from the airport is super easy too... just take the Blue Line from Ohare to Damen and we're one block from the stop!
  • Had a great time in the room in Dave's loft apartment. It was comfortable and clean. I will note that even though we stayed on a Wednesday night, the street noise was very loud. Also you should know that the loft is on the fourth floor so be ready for the stairs. But the location is really fun and convenient! And Dave and his roommate Frank were very communicative and friendly!

    Divya2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot! Very hip local and unit, would definitely book again

  • Good communication, nice place in a vibrant street of Chicago.

  • David was a fantastic host. The neighborhood is fun and the apartment is in great location.

    Andrew2018-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • David's apartment is huge and in a very nice neighborhood. Plenty of places to eat, have a drink and shop. David was so cool and helpful. If you see this with no reservation, dont think and go take it!!

    J Ángel2018-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • David was a really good host, he was always worried about us and giving advice about places, transportation modes and everything to make our staying worthwhile. The apartment was amazing, really cool place, big and with all the comfort you would expect, it was located in a neighborhood where many things were going on, a lot of night life, bars, cultural attractions, restaurants etc. It was a different take of Chicago and was really good. Two to the metro station and walking distance to the loop, many shopping places as well in that neighborhood. I definitely recommend this location if you want to get a broader experiences from the city and have a good time.

    Guillermo Alberto2016-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • My 2 days at David were great, the flat is located in a very nice location right behind the metro station (1 min walk) and with a very cool neighborhood (art galleries, local stores, cafes etc...). To have an idea of the youth local scene I would recommend this place 200%. David and Frank are very good hosts too, always ready to give advice and super friendly. Very responsive too.

    Yemi2017-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect location in Wicker Park!! As this was my first time staying in a shared space I wasn't sure what to expect but David was a fantastic host and gave us great recommendations for food/drinks/things to do while visiting Chicago for first timers. A+++++ would recommend to anyone visiting!

This is a large private room in 2200 sq ft artist loft in Chicago's West Loop. The room has a Queen Pillow Top mattress, desk, mirror, and tv dresser/stand. Both the private room and common space feature 13 foot tall ceilings and are very bright. Often there are other guests staying in the other rooms, and occasionally they share the main space. The entire space is always being re-arranged and therefore will not have the exact arrangement pictured, but the furniture will be the same.
This is a large private room, in a huge open concept artist loft. You will share kitchen, main space, bathroom. You will have your own set of keys. The room has a queen bed. The room is fully enclosed and has a door that locks from the inside. There will usually be 1-3 other guests staying in the other rooms.
The property is in the center of a neighborhood called West Loop that is known for its restaurants, bars, and lounges...but especially for its restaurants. Here are some of my favorites: La Colombe (cafe), 2 Fun Chinese, JP Grazianos (Sandwich Shop), Beatrix Market (market and restaurant), Shake Shack (famous fast food), Honeygrow (fast stir fry), Momotaro (upscale sushi), Duck Duck Goat (Chinese fusion), Lou's Assembly (upscale diner), Little Goat (upscale diner), Green Street Meats (BBQ), High Five Ramen, Mauds Liquor Bar (French), Ace Hotel Rooftop, The Blind Barber (secret speakeasy lounge), Lou Malnattis (Chicago style pizza), Forno's (Italian style flat bread pizza), Fox Trot (upscale market for beer and liquor), West Loop Mart (corner bodega), Roister(upscale deliciousness).

    Francisco2018-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Preston's apartment is great. It's very close to the cta station. We got a warm welcome and a very nice guide of the delicious food and interesting places nearby.

    Luoye2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and big savings (compared to the Ace Hotel) for what we had planned for the weekend (wedding and associated events in Fulton Market). We were really just looking for a place to sleep and shower, and it definitely met our expectations. Preston was a good host and was super accommodating when we arrived earlier than expected. He and his roommate, and even the other guests there that weekend, were all great. This might be in other reviews, but it's worth noting that there are two rooms, one with full walls/a ceiling and one with the more traditional "loft-style" 3/4 walls. We stayed in the fully-walled room, which was a little smaller (and perhaps a little less charming), but it was super quiet and worked great for us. I need absolute silence (or white noise, and Preston provided a box fan with the room) and darkness to sleep, and had no problem even on Saturday night when the other guests stayed up for a bit after we went to bed. One quirky thing about the bathroom is that you can't really put your head over the sink all the way because there is a shelf there... hard to explain but I felt like I was getting water everywhere. Depending on how much time you spend brushing your teeth and washing your face, this may get on your nerves.

    Erica2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • There is more than one rental room, and one shared bathroom. Preston was easy to work with for check-in, and the space was quiet.

    Eric2018-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The space was wide and really cool. Re bed was sooo comfy and t had a Great Wall length mirror that I loved. It was quiet in the neighborhood and I a lot of cool restaurants were near by! Also it was only a couple stops on the train to get to downtown which was really convenient. Preston gave me a lot of good recommendations and was very friendly as well!! I would recommend this spot to anyone!

    Brittany2018-02-16T00:00:00Z

    Rocio2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • James and Dom's place is very cozy and lovely!! We are really enjoy our stay for 3 days and appreciate they provided a very warm welcome to us when arrived. Furthermore, James and Dom allow us to late check out for our night flight. Thank you James and Dom, and highly recommend!

  • We had a fantastic stay in the Fairfield Flat! It was warm and cozy every evening we came home from our long adventures in the city. The style and decor was impressive—you can tell that James and Dom put hard work into this space. I got a lot of design inspo while staying here. The memory foam mattress was very comfortable and we loved the tea bar. Oh! We also enjoyed their book collection. The location is a stones throw away from the pink line which is great because we used the train each day to get around. Thanks again for making us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back!

    Krystal2018-02-25T00:00:00Z

    Valou2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • James and Dom's space was even more beautiful than the pictures. It was very close to a CTA L train stop, which made it super easy for us to get around the entire trip. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Chicago!

    Arturo2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda's home was wonderful! My mom and I had a great weekend exploring Chicago and relaxing in Amanda's place. Amanda gave us several great suggestions, and the location was perfect for exploring different parts of the city. We cooked a few meals in the beautiful kitchen, relaxed on the patio, and really enjoyed the hospitality! Highly recommend!

    Sarah2015-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you don't mind taking a short ride (~15 minutes) to get downtown, then I highly recommend staying at Casa Corazón. Nestled in the humble and quiet Pilsen neoghborhood, this gem of a home felt like both a retreat from the busy city center and an invitation to experience the slower paced family life of not-quite-the-suburbs. I tend to prefer a lot of alone time, so I didn't mind Amanda's low-key hosting style. We only chatted once (partly because of my schedule), but it was enough. Her warmth is reflected in the comfort of the furnishings and her passion for art is evident in the attention to detail. Chicago grew on me quickly as a city, and I'm sure my stay at Casa Corazón played a significant part.

    Giulianni2015-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda greeted me at the beginning with a tea and lentil curry dinner! And she makes sourdough pancakes on Sunday mornings (amazing). I learned that I should pop popcorn with coconut oil (it's better than at the movies!), met her grandmother, and even managed to make friends with her cat Hafiz (he likes to hiss at you, but it's just his strange way of saying hello). Every item in Amanda's house is chosen with care. She likes beautiful objects, that are also durable and timeless. All her dinner ware is beautiful hand-made ceramics, every room is decorated with mindfulness. Stay with Amanda, hang around and discuss a moment, you'll certainly learn something, and perhaps end up with a friend as well.

  • Amanda is an amazing host- someone who is truly hosting people on Airbnb because she enjoys meeting people from around the world and sharing her home with them. She was very easy to get in touch with both before and during my stay and had lots of helpful tips on things to do and places to eat in Chicago. If you stay on a Sunday you're in for some great sourdough pancakes! The house is beautiful and clean, with lots of great indoor and outdoor spaces to sit and relax. It's easy to get to anywhere else in the city by public transit. I'd love to stay here again on a future visit to Chicago!

    Miriam2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time at Amanda's place! The room was spacious, bright and very clean, and what a beautiful apartment! I really felt like coming home when getting there. Amanda is a very warm and welcoming person, sadly we only met when I checked in (due to me leaving early/returning late every day). Communication was really quick and easy. The neighborhood is quiet and has some great bakeries, grocery stores etc. Pink Line and several bus lines in walking distance. I would highly recommend staying at Amanda's, I had a great home base there for exploring the city!

• Michael is a perfect host. He is friendly, fun and extremely knowledgable about the city. We were just in town for the Coldplay concert, and he helped us with directions and suggestions to maximize our short stay. His place is great - spacious and filled with his art. His rooftop garden patio is a perfect place for coffee or drinks. We are looking forward to many more stays! Highly recommended!!

  • Clean cozy space. Great communication and hospitality. Fascinating home. Central location with lots to do within walking distance.

Harper Court, a small-business-oriented shopping center, extends north of 53rd Street along Harper Avenue. A farmers' market is held there in the summer. 55th Street The segment of 55th Street between the Metra line and the lake offers a series of ethnic restaurants serving Thai, Japanese, and Korean cuisine. • I had an amazing experience at Mike & Nicte's place! I needed a room last minute due to a work conference Downtown, and they sent me check in information literally 30 seconds after I hit confirm. They weren't present when I arrived, but I was able to enter with the door code they provided earlier. The room itself was clean, I had fresh towels, and a shower caddy with shampoos and body wash. They even made a welcome packet with public transit info which made my commute downtown easier. I would highly recommend this place.

  • Great hosts and nice space. I will come to stay with them anytime I'm in chicago

    Jordan2018-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a good place to stay if you're in town for a specific event like I was and need a place to sleep and shower. It is very affordable, but that is partly due to the neighborhood not being very welcoming. With the money you'll save staying here I'd recommend getting an Uber/Lyft to your destination or to a near train station, do not make the trek by foot. To get back I took the pink like to Pulanski and then hailed a ride from the stop and it was only a few bucks. You do have some good food locations right near the house, but I submitted an Amazon Prime Now order since I was going to be there all weekend long and tried to fill up before and after the festival. In short worth staying if you have a plan and are low maintenance. Also includes WiFi.

    Adam2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • It is excellent for travellers on a budget!

    Juan2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nicte and Mike are very good at communications. The stay were comfortable as expected. Parking in the lot behind the airbnb costs money and parking in front of the house is hard to find. if you park in the neighborhood, make sure it's legal (some streets are reserved for residents with a permit, etc.)

Located right on I-90/94 & Chicago's 'Red Line', this location is perfect for anyone looking to take in the Sights of Chicago! Whether you're going Downtown to check out Navy Pier & Millennium Park, enjoy a Concert or Game at the United Center, or headed to back to the Airport to continue your journey; you'll always be just a few minutes away! If you choose to spend an Evening around the House, you'll enjoy a diverse neighborhood with various options in terms of Shops & Dining. Here are a few Local Spots in Hyde Park that we recommend checking out: 53rd Street 53rd Street is Hyde Park's oldest shopping district, lined with many small businesses and restaurants offering various dining options. To the west of the Metra line between 54th and 55th streets lies the Hyde Park Shopping Center. The shopping center is anchored by the Treasure Island grocery store, and also includes a Walgreens, Ace Hardware, Office Depot, Potbelly Sandwich Works, the Bonjour Bakery and Cafe, and an upscale French restaurant called "La Petite Folie." 57th Street 57th Street is noted for its independent bookstores, including the South Side branch of Powell's and the general-readership branch of the Seminary Co-op bookstore, known as "57th Street Books." 57th Street also offers the Medici Restaurant and Bakery, Z&H Cafe, and the Salonica Restaurant, along with small grocery stores, hair stylists, and dry cleaners. On the first weekend in June, the venerable 57th Street Art Fair takes up 57th Street between Kimbark and Kenwood avenues.
  • The host tell you that you need to order a parking permit to park on the street. Being from Chicago and once shown the exact location I knew this to be untrue. I parked outside without their $10 required parking permit. No issues. I also looked into other cars parked on the street. And did not see any visible permits. The area isn’t a very safe neighborhood. It’s not walkable at all which should be expressed more in detail. The place is set up in a hostel style environment. With a lot of random people in he various rooms coming in and out. Dusty, roughly cut out rooms, dirty bed sheets smeared with make up, and bug bites. The amenities provided are bulk, dollar store washes, shampoos and lotion, previously used by the many travelers before you. Thankfully they left about 1/5th a bottle for me to use (no thanks). Pros: there was a bed to lay down on when I did not have one. But I would not recommend to others.

  • If you’re visiting Chicago and need a cheap place to stay and don’t plan on spending any time at your accommodation other than to sleep, Mike’s place efficiently gets the job done. The price is great, the communal kitchen is good and the communication between host and guest is excellent.

Private room in an artistic 3rd floor apartment that's 1 block from the train which goes downtown in 15 minutes. Free public street parking is available. The building it is in is often graced by art shows on the lower floors and the apartment itself is full of art from local artists. We're located in the Pilsen Neighborhood near the Mexican Museum of Art, many local galleries, stores, restaraunts, and nightlife. You'll get a colorful taste of the real Chicago. Early & Late Arrival is okay!
The apartment is shared by the Airbnb host (me!) and has a kitchen, wifi, full bathroom, outdoor porch, and a huge living space and is always quiet & clean. It is in an old czech style building and so is more rustic than modern looking inside, but also far more artistic and fun than other places! I have 2 airbnb rooms, so you may meet other Airbnb guests!
It is located in the Pilsen Neighborhood which has a rich Latin American history and culture and is known to be one of the most creative neighborhoods in Chicago. There are many gallery spaces, restaraunts, shops and events run by long time locals of the neighborhood.

    Jorge2017-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • A great host. One of the most helpful I've ever met. The bed was extremely comfortable. And the place was a short walk to the train station.

    Maverick2017-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mike was a great host. We got stuck at the airport after a canceled flight and booked his place on very short notice. Everything is as described in the listing and Mike was super helpful with things to do locally. His place is also a very short walk from the pink line of the "L" (Chicago's mass transit system).

    Dan2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the location! Among the Pilsen district, it was very convenient to walk to different places. Mike was very responsive, and asked if I had any questions upon booking. There was a space heater provided in the room in case it got a little bit cold. Thank you.

    Mandi2018-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice stay at Mike's place. We really enjoyed Chicago. Very easy to get downtown by bike or metro.

    Stephan2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • You get what you pay for. I got several dozen bug bites.

    Regina2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We felt that the reviews and the description of the 'Art room in the skye' was euphemistic. Pros: location is great. The area is very diverse and the Pink line is super close. The art is fun in the apartment. Cons: the building is super old. Due to its age, the building has a smell and the air is stuffy. The windows are in such bad shape that you cannot open them so we couldn't have fresh air. The weather was hot in the past few days so it was hard to sleep without opening the windows. The kitchenwares were sticky due to insufficient cleaning. The water was running in the bathtub all the time which is noisy and we felt bad about wasting so much water. Mike was responding to our emails quickly and he let us leave our luggage there after check-out which was great. All in all, for this money these problems might be fair but we felt we were not warned.

    Klára2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Almost like a mini hostel. Lots of artwork all over the place, kinda edgy in a way. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was helpful, and very close to the train. Would stay again!

Bring your own wash cloths. The area is sketchy and don’t expect a pizza delivery anytime soon. I give it a 7 for what it’s worth.

  • I really loved staying with John. I’m a kind of stay to myself when I’m home type of person and John gave me this vibe. It was really convenient and communication with John is so accurate. Was running a bit late and he kept in touch with me until I got there. Neighborhood is really quiet, the bed is sooooo comfortable. If I could give 10 stars I would

I live in a fully updated 3 bedroom flat surrounded by red brick walls. Nice new wood floors throughout the unit, kitchen includes marble countertops. This guest room has a full-size bed for a guest. You are welcomed to book with your friend, partner or lover. Tons of natural light from the skylight. Full kitchen with fridge, gas, and microwave. Shared bathroom that offers tub/shower combo and we have free on-site laundry as well as free on-street parking. Douglas Park nearby also.
The house is floored with woods and has a skylight that gives sunshine a different look
The location is mostly quiet with a few uninhabited buildings--these give a misconstrued notion that the neighborhood is "shady". We assure you that moving in and out of the building is completely safe. You don't have to worry about parked cars or parking your car. We also have residents living in the building and very accomodative.

  • Mike was always so quick to respond to any questions I had. This was my first airbnb experience and I think the great experience I had with Mike made me want to do this more! The house fit exactly what I needed for my stay in chicago!

    trisha2016-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mike is such a lovely person, hilarious too. He broke all protocols to get me into his apartment when I needed rest and have to check in at odd hours. He has such a beautiful apartment with everything you ever need. It is painful I had to spend just a night. The house is well located in a good neighborhood. I will have to book is apartment months before my coming into Chicago on my next visit because I am sure people who experience what I experienced won't want to leave. If you have anything to ever do in Chicago, Mike's apartment is your choice place. My first visit to US and Chicago was awesome staying with Mike.

The place is quiet and had everything I needed. Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay while in Chicago, whether it's business or personal, and I definitely plan to return here when I am in town.

    Trevor2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mike was great. He was so helpful with my last minute request. The place was good. I felt really comfortably. The bed itself was not the most comfy. The location is far from a train and Chicago. But you would know that before booking this. I did not know it was in Latin village. I loved it. I love Mexican food and feel like I'm in a foreign country. It was an experience that I enjoyed

This place is next to west loop. Really easy to get to Downtown
You can use both full bathrooms, kitchen, the living room and everything that we have at this place. In the room you will have a comfy queen size bed, night stand, lamp, iron, iron table, clean towels, clean sheets, comforter and we can provide as many as needed. The room has a lock from the outside. We provide WiFi, coffee, shampoo, body soap, hair dryer, hair brush, toilet paper, etc. Free washer and dryer in unit( only for guests staying 5 days+)
Very close to downtown and very easy to reach. By train ( blue line station 24/7 only 8 stops - 14minutes on train - to Millenium park ). 25 to Millenium park by bus 7 harrison. 11 minutes by UBER, lyft, vía rate from $5-$11 to go to Millenium park. Only 5minutes away from West Loop one of the nicest areas with a lot of restaurants, bars, clubs, etc. 5minutes to Rush hospital. Good for people coming for interviews.
  • The host was very nice and responded very quick. the room wasn't that big but could maneuver around. the kitchen is good, bathroom is good too. the house was all around clean and neat but just had a small issue with the bedding but was quickly taken care of. has a very fast wifi. this place is in a little shady side of chicago so might have to care little more when you walk around at night but at day time, didn't have problem coming or going back. if your scared a little, I would take the subway up to the closest subway station and just take a lyft from there to the Airbnb. it's only 2, 3 or 4 dollars max.

  • place was nice in the inside, not a fan of the neighborhood at all was a little sketchy. Emisael was really nice and helped us a lot.

    Monica2017-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely gorgeous on the inside, everything seemed to be updated and really minimal chic. Aaron is always fast with responding to any of your questions or needs, the train is walking distance to me. If you like to take the bus, there is a bus stop right in front of the house that goes downtown and one runs every 5 mins. The area is not the worse but it’s not the best, this is nothing to worry about though because Aaron has locks on everything and keeps a surveillance cameras. The area just has character let’s put it that way. If you like staying somewhere nice for low cost I would definitely book with Aaron.

    DeShawn2018-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Aaron is very kind and he replies really fast! He’s always able to help you with everything, also recommendations in the city! He has a very good understanding about what a guest needs and he’s open to hear needs and feedback to improve :)

  • Emisael was a great host. He was very responsive and he made sure that everything was ok. Place and room was very clean and The apartment looks pretty nice. His place is very close to downtown and public transportation is close by. It’s like 12 minutes walking to the train not a big deal. I would definitely stay here again!

This room is on the third floor of a circa 1895 Richardsonian Romanesque Mansion. The home sits directly between the Kedzie and Conservatory stops on the CTA "Green" Line, putting you about 20 minutes from downtown Chicago! Easy unmetered street parking is readily available for those coming by car. Full size kitchen, multiple living/outdoor areas, and laundry machines are available for use as well with this room. My other rooms are listed here: https://www.airbnb.com/users/22608682/listings
The space is in an old victorian era (c.1895) limestone/brick mansion located on Chicago's west side in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. It overlooks Washington Blvd. and is about a block from the Kedzie Green Line Train. Please note if you book, this is an old house, with over 125 years of living. This means lumps, bumps, scratches, and things in general that are less then perfect. Some people enjoy this character of a house, others view it as dirty or poorly maintained. If you are in the latter camp, please do not stay here. I allow LUGGAGE DROP OFF! You can store your luggage in the closet before check-in and after check-out times, you can drop it off and pick it up as early and as late as you would like. Public transit options (train, bus, bike share) available about a block away.
The area itself is undergoing urban renewal, and it has a majority minority population. If this is something you'd be uncomfortable with, or if the presence of minorities and even visible signs of poverty makes you feel unsafe, I'd recommend to book elsewhere so as to avoid an awkward situation for both of us. Chicago and it’s outlying neighborhoods are mixed bags, on my block you’ll have $500,000 homes next to a boarded up one. This is the city and neighborhoods can change block by block. I happen to live on a good street with a great block. If you are looking for a great place close to everything, this is it. But please don’t book here and expect something that it isn’t, it’d be best for both of us if you booked somewhere else if you are expecting to be a block away from a Michelin 3 star. I’ve lived my entire life in/around the Chicago area and as an IT professional I could live in just about any neighborhood in the city. I chose where I did for a reason. The house is very close the conservatory, is a great deal for the savvy traveler, and close to nearly everything. You'll need to order delivery or take a train to get to great restaurants, but it's all less then 30 minutes away.

    Maria2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately, we did not make it to Ryan's place. We would have loved to as he had so many good reviews! My friend and I arrived at Kedzie station. A group of men began to shout at us as we passed the bus stop. Three of the men stood up and followed us. They walked a couple of inches behind us along the street, continuing their comments, and bumping into my backpack. Ultimately we felt it best to turn around and get ourselves out of the situation. Feeling a bit shaken we decided to book somewhere closer to the centre. I messaged Ryan to cancel our Airbnb, and he was extremely kind and considerate. He was also shocked that we had had this experience and called 911. The police sent out a car to look for the men. We do really hope that this was a one-off experience but felt it necessary to share, as we really wouldn't want anyone to get into a bad situation. We would recommend arriving in pairs during daylight, or perhaps taking an uber. It can't hurt to just be on the safe side.

    Erin2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • During stay at this house, it's so comfortable and enjoyed. I think it is really nice place! If we come back to Chicago, we also want to stay in here!

  • The place is close to public transport. It took us 20 mins to downtown with CTA Green Line. Great amenities! We had a pleasant stay.

    Issac2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • This house/mansion is so beautiful! And it's such a nice place to kick back and relax. It's nice because you can feel like a local too, it's not too far from the city and it's not too close either. 10/10 would recommend

  • The unit was spotless when we arrived and offered a great location in the Logan Square/Wicker Park neighborhoods. The proximity to nightlife meant less than $5 Lyft Line rides to local bars and a great overall experience. Brand new apartment. Only complaint would be the alley light that shines in the bedroom at night, but that’s an easy fix. Would stay again!

PLEASE READ FULL LISTING DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING. Large second floor apartment with a lot of natural sunlight. Two blocks away from Damen Pink Line stop. A 24/7 Walgreens is a block away. Nearby 3 grocery stores, 2 laundromats & lots of restaurants. 15mins to Chinatown 20mins to Downtown 30mins to Wicker Park
The space is minimal yet welcoming. Morning sunlight comes through the large window by the foot of the bed making the room much cozier and warm.
Pilsen is a center for cultural arts, it has an active nightlife, local festivals and events. 18th St is where much of the attraction is in Pilsen with various commercial and local shops, music venues, bars, and Latino restaurants.

  • Maria was a great host, we didn't see her too often but when we did she was very friendly and helpful, she even helped us late at night. The room was very clean and spacious enough for two people to live comfortably for 5 days. The location, Pilsen, isn't in the heart of Chicago but has its own unique identity that is fun to experience and Downtown is only a 20 min train ride away. Overall, I would stay here again. It was a great value and we got to experience a new side of Chicago.

This place is Located on west loop, which is actually considered Part of Downtown (has a Train station very close(7min walking/0.3miles). This train works 24/7. It goes to the heart of Downtown and also direct to the airportO’hare. My place is only 16 minutes(public transportation) to the heart of Downtown including the walk. 8-12min driving( 2.5miles). Wifi, coffee maker, microwave, iron, shampoo, towels, hair dryer, pretty much everything you might need.
You will have a comfortable Queen Size Bed in a private room! Your room is going to have its own lock and key! There is free parking on the street but if you want to have a private spot in a private indoor garage you you could ask me if it is available for 12$ per night. *I only accept payments through Airbnb platform*
The best point about this place is how close It’s to Downtown (15 min-public transportation, 10 min-car) If you going to a Event at United Center it’s so close as well( 10 min walking). The location it’s perfect to those who goes to an interview/ research/ work at Rush Medical Center, Cook County Hospital, John H Stroger, Jr.
