  • This apartment was simply perfect. The place was super clean and very accomodating. The area is close to everything and April and Ken were wonderful hosts. We look forward to visiting again.

  • This visit was both our first time using AirBnB and our first visit to NOLA. We were pleased with our 5 day stay. The guest house is not too big or too small. Plenty of room for us as a couple to be comfortable and probably more. We did not meet the hosts but were grateful for the list of recommendations left and a little bit of information via text. We rented a car and also did some walking and ubering while we stayed. All three were functional and convenient for us. The neighborhood looks very authentic in the way that there are some hit and miss homes that are run down, but we always felt safe. Don't be fooled by your first impression. The house and guest accommodations itself are very nice. We enjoyed our time and would stay here again.

  • Awesome place! Great location, and just a short uber ride to nearly anything. Lots of great restaurants and bars nearby. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants to be near the city without all of the craziness!

    Jaime2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfectly located to bourbon street, Frenchman Street and the rest of the French Quarter. Walking distance to all locations. The gas lamps on arrival created a welcoming entry to a clean, neat and tidy apartment The bed was comfortable and great wifi. Ken and April were very helpful and gave us a list of places to visit etc Would go back.

  • April and Ken's guest house is adorable and exactly as pictured. My boyfriend and I stayed for several days and it was the perfect size for a couple. If you don't mind walking, the location is walkable to the French Quarter, Frenchman Street, and even to the ferry (though that's a bit of a hike). We biked to the Bywater easily. Check in and check out was easy and straightforward. April and Ken provided a list of recommendations which was so helpful! Great visit and would definitely stay again.

  • My two friends and I shared the guest house at April and Ken's. April and Ken have made their airbnb comfortable, relaxing environment, they also gave us great advice on local spots near by and all over the city. Awesome central location, everywhere we wanted to explore was a 5-10 minute Uber ride away. We were happy to have the pool after the first couple days of walking around in the NOLA summer heat. Would recommend.

    Hanna2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I really enjoyed our time on beautiful and eclectic Esplande. The complimentary bikes really allowed us to explore everything New Orleans has to offer. We loved the shrimp creole and music and Buffa’s and put put in City Park. The walk to the French Quarter took about ten to fifteen minutes. April and Ken were kind and even let us keep our bags at their property while we were explored on our last day. Great spot!

    Caitlin2017-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • April and Ken were very friendly, gave great suggestions for places to go and how to get around this great city. The place was simply adorable and we could not have asked for a better hosts. Thanks again!

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • Great place in a unique neighborhood

    Liz2017-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Cute clean place to stay, I would say only for two people comfortably. Great location, easy to reach for any recommendations or help (did not need any help.) close enough to walk everywhere but just outside of all the craziness!

    April2017-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Such a gorgeous space! Everyone we passed in the neighborhood was super friendly and it was within walking distance to Bourbon Street. We really enjoyed our stay, the only complaint was there weren’t any towel hooks and they could use new towels/wash cloths, other than that everything was great!

    Cassie2018-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful! Suggestions of places to visit were left for us to chose from. The bead decorations were a nice touch that brought the vintage place together. Very clean and the AC works great! (Much needed for the NOLA humidity) Thank you for this great experience!

    Antonette2018-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as advertised! I went with my husband and there was plenty of space for the two of us. Bathroom was well stocked and air conditioner worked amazingly. There is also a water tap and ice maker on the fridge. The dishwasher was broken but that didn’t effect us. The place looked exactly like the photos. Noise level wasn’t great after around 9am such as law mowers and just people partying but it was mostly locals and it’s way quieter than the bourbon street area. Parking was a bit rough but doable as we just had to park once and then could walk around for the rest of our time. Didn’t mind the walk to the main stuff when I was with my husband. We even walked from the superdome back to the house. Very great experience. Some wear and tear on blankets and towels but that didn’t bother us.

  • Make sure to find out before arriving that all of the listing amenities are actually working. Our group had 4 people and Mark’s listing said there were two beds to sleep 4 people. However, when we arrived, the pull out couch was broken and it was not able to be fixed while we were in New Orleans. Therefore, 2 people in our group did not have a place to sleep and slept on the floor. Mark has been very unreasonable to deal with when trying to resolve this issue with a partial refund. The listing is priced for 4 places to sleep, so I only believe it is fair to receive a partial refund for the 2 people who had a very uncomfortable stay on the floor. Other than this issue, Mark’s place was clean and walkable to the French Quarter.

    Rachel2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very close to the quarter. Place was very clean. No complaints.

  • We only stayed for one night as we waited for an early morning flight. Place is as nice as it looks in the pictures and perfectly accommodated our group of 7. (1 King Bed, 1 Queen, 2 Fulls {bunk beds}, 1 air mattress and 1 couch)

  • There is not a more perfect place to stay!! It’s a wonderful location, close to everything and if not a quick and cheap Uber away. The place is so spacious and clean and housed 6-7 of us comfortably. Brad was so helpful and quick to respond when we had questions. Highly recommend!!!

    Chelsea2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very nice space, and it is very spacious. Getting in and out is easy. Everything is updated. The TV is great with cable. There is lots of room for sleeping. The balcony does not have much of a view, but you have a balcony if you want to enjoy some wine outside. Overall this is a very nice place for the money and easy to work with company that is representing this space. Just plan to check in and out on time, there is not a ton of flexibility due to the high demand of this property.

    Brian2019-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • This condo was amazing! So roomy and perfect for multiple travelers. Brad was super communicative and friendly before check-in and we had no issues during our stay. Would definitely book again in the future!

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire. Additional bedroom is available for groups traveling together or families traveling with children. Please discuss your group's needs with the host. New Orleans license number is 17STR-06526.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house just off the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iron, music player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. A second bedroom is available for groups, so the space can be made to accommodate 1-4 people. We welcome special requests and will make every effort to assist with needed recommendations. We can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your childen. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • We loved our accommodations. Very close to Canal Street and using the streetcar was an easy mode of transport to downtown. Neighborhood was quiet which gave us good rest at night. Although we only saw Erin briefly- she and her family we wonderful hosts. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Would recommend to our closest friends and family

    Laurie2015-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's place was immaculate. A lovely shotgun (i.e. long and narrow) home right in the heart of Mid City. Upon arrival I was greeted by Erin who showed me where I would be staying for the next week. It's a private room that is attached to the rest of the house in the back. It has a separate entrance and door, so you get your own key, which gives you all the privacy you need. The bathroom is roomy, with a nice shower and plenty of hot water. There's even face wash, shampoo, conditioner and body wash to use. Erin really put a lot of thought into decorating and supplying the room, with little snacks and drinks, a couple of bathrobes, a personal coffee maker and a booklet with helpful tips on local places to eat and drink. It was a good hybrid of coziness and hotel amenities. Because it is an attached room to the rest of the house, you do hear everything between the two rooms. This didn't bother me but it might be bothersome if you're looking for total peace and quiet. To give you some context for the location, Mid City is about a 10 minute car ride from the French Quarter where everything is happening, including the conference I was in town for. You can get there easily enough by taking the street care, which is only a couple of blocks from Erin's place and is $1.25 for a one-way trip (exact change, so I recommend keeping some quarters and dollar bills for just this). As Erin instructs, I wouldn't walk from the French Quarter back home, but cabs are easy enough to find. Catching a cab from her house, or along Canal Street where the streetcar runs was hit or miss, so expect to either call a cab or leave plenty of time to catch the streetcar into the Quarter, which come every 15 or 20 minutes. The local bars and pubs around Erin's place are very "local" and cool, although, some (e.g. my parents) would consider them a little dodgy. I went to one my first night and had a great night drinking and eating on the patio out front. I was told by the bartender that that's the real New Orleans, not the Bourbon Street affair everybody goes to. I'd agree. Overall, a lovely place and a great trip. Thanks Erin!

    Joshua2014-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Erin has the most beautiful shotgun house in New Orleans. It is perfect in every way. From her greeting and communication to her making sure we have everything we need. It truly was a magical experience and we will definitely stay with her next time around.

    Travis2016-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was super friendly and very helpful and flexible with our arrival as we got in several hours after we anticipated. Her place was clean, attractive and comfortable. I'd say the only mark against her spot was that we were told not to walk around the neighborhood at night - but that applies to much of the city. Thanks so much Erin!

    Easton2015-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a beautiful room to stay in. Loved the private entrance with a courtyard and the coffee maker, mini-fridge, robes, and fully-stocked en-suite bathroom. I felt like I was in a boutique hotel. Erin was very gracious and hospitable. I will surely stay here again.

    Laura2015-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Greg and Erins place is just amazing! Such a beautiful decorated room, big comfy bed and an ensuite bathroom. Felt more like a hotel, as we didnt get to meet them, and all the lovely goodies they provided such as cold Drinks, some snacks and two cozy bathrobes. A folder told us about their favorite spots in NOLA and so we went eating awesome crawlfish in a beergarden. Location is great, easy to get everywhere! Would come back anytime :)

  • I would like to say I have stayed at many Airbnb's and this one is at the top of my list. The room was fabulous, you can feel and tell Erin puts a lot of love into this room as soon as you walk in. The nice touches, like good shampoo for your hair to the snacks and drinks in the frig was more then expected. The towels even smelled fresh. I highly recommend this place and will return. Thank you Erin

  • The apartment was spotless and stocked with everything we needed. He even had two local beers in the fridge, and a pizza in the freezer. Anything we needed, we were able to find in the apartment. He really thought of everything. The location was quiet and safe, but walking distance from the streetcar and all the tourist spots. We would absolutely recommend staying there!

The Mazant is a plantation-style home dating back to the early 1880s, located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1-1/2 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We are close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and Satsuma Cafe. It's perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, company off-sites, and other large groups.
Over the past several years we have renovated the property, seeking to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 125+ year old oak tree. At the same time, we also updated the layout to more comfortably accommodate large groups: *18-person dining room table *Oversized living room with 75-inch television, surround sound system, and Baldwin upright piano *Private yard (1/3 acre) with fire pit, six-burner propane BBQ, outdoor table, and hammocks *Super-fast WiFi (the top tier that Cox offers) *Front porch (gallery) with historic gas lamps and outdoor seating *Off-street parking for two cars and ample street parking for overflow *Viking kitchen appliances  The house has eight bedrooms with layout as follows: Downstairs - Bedroom 1: one queen bed (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 2: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) Upstairs - Bedroom 3: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower/tub combo) - Bedroom 4: one double bed - Bedroom 5: one twin bunkbed - Bedroom 6: one king bed - Bedroom 7: two queen beds (semi-private bathroom - shower) and pull out sofa bed (double) - Bedroom 8: one king bed There is another shared bathroom upstairs (near the laundry room) with a clawfoot tub-shower combo. The caretaker’s cottage is occasionally available for rent as an add-on. It is 350-square feet, has a queen bed, full bath with claw foot tub-shower combo, kitchen, and washer/dryer.
Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • The 906 Mazant was a wonderful venue for our group to stay while in new Orleans for a conference. The home is beautifully appointed and well equipped for both large groups and small. While we did not have the opportunity to entertain customers during this visit the home is a perfect venue for entertaining clients, family or friends. 906 Mazant is a great break from the cookie-cutter chain hotels providing an abundance of charm and comfort at a reasonable value. We will stay at 906 Mazant on future visits to New Orleans!

  • Jeff's place is fantastic! My friends and I flew in town for my wedding and stayed at the Mazant. The location is great (specifically it's proximity to The Joint (a fantastic local BBQ spot)), Jeff's communication and flexibility was amazing (he provided local tips on places to go well before our arrival) and was flexible with check-in since my rehearsal was at the same time, and the house was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend staying at The Mazant.

Not only was this the perfect venue for a wedding -- if you can even rent it for a day, it's amazing -- but it was the absolute perfect space for us to host out of town guests who came from all over the country to celebrate. From sitting in the gorgeous, 16' ceiling living room, watching the Cubs game on a giant 70" TV, to sitting around the amazing 30' dining table with friends, drinking and catching up, to hosting a kids' popcorn bar in the foyer, to having our ceremony in the backyard, to giving the kids a place to relax in the upstairs media room (away from the adults), to a chill (gorgeous!) game room for reading and downtime, this house has it all. All of the tables, carts, barware, silverware, utensils we needed were already at the house (we had forgotten cups and thought we might need Solo cups :-/ but this house had so many glasses we didn't need any!). The beds are incredibly comfortable. The full size laundry is great for doing a quick load of towels. The stairwell is insanely beautiful. The bathrooms are gorgeous. Did I mention the decor of this house is insane? The fountain in the backyard, the lit patio in the backyard, the orange trees, the fire pit... all incredible. We also spent a lot of time on the balcony, either watching the sunrise or watching the rain. The house is in the Bywater -- our favorite neighborhood of New Orleans -- with its artsy vibe and dive bars. There is an amazing BBQ place just two blocks away which I swear has the best ribs in the country. It is about an 8-10 minute ride by Uber/Lyft to Frenchmen Street and 10-12 minutes to the Quarter. We and our friends instantly committed to coming back in the future for a weekend, just so we can be in the house again.

  • Mandy’s space is bright, clean and inviting. She is a fabulous host and replied quickly with all info you’d need - she thought of everything! We had a very comfortable stay and would stay here again for a future trip!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Krystal & Mandy May's place. The apartment was VERY clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Check-in was incredibly easy. Krystal & Mandy May worked with us as our flight did not leave until 7pm the day that we checked out. They were able to hold our luggage for us in the apartment which was super nice so that we could enjoy our last day in New Orleans. They are VERY responsive. There was a light bulb out in the bedroom and they contacted maintenance ASAP. We will definitely return in the future! :)

  • Great place, great location, very spacious!

    Andreina2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mandy’s unit exceeded our expectations tenfold! The pictures make the place look really nice but in person is even more fancy. It was great for the two of us, the bed was huge and there was a couch bed available we had no need for it so not sure how that was, but it’s there for more sleep space opportunity. The amenities provided at your stay are another great bonus; the rooftop pool, shower product dispensers that are right in the shower at ur convenience, kitchen and supplies, Blow dryer, two working smartTVs, WiFi, the list goes on to make your stay stress free. Location was great, we were two young females and never felt unsafe walking home from bourbon st. At night which was only like a 5 min walk away. Frenchman st/ French Market was a bit further like 18-25 min walk but super scenic and didn’t mind walking at all! I can go on and on about how in love with this place I was so if you’re in search of a comfortable CLEAN place this is the place for you. The room still smelled of fresh linens the day we left, I will definitely be choosing this place if and when I visit NOLA again

  • Krystal and Mandy's apartment was lovely. I was in town for a conference around the corner, and the apartment was perfect. Everything was clean and just as advertised. The apartment was centrally located downtown. Check-in was easy, the building management was friendly and helpful, and the apartment was cozy, stylish, and had everything I needed. I would absolutely stay there again.

    Rebecca2019-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Krystal and Mandy May’s apartment offers everything you’d expect from a stylish, convenient hotel, but better—- much more spacious with a full kitchen and washer and dryer in the unit. Absolutely immaculate. We were very happy we stayed here!

    Marjorie2018-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Krystal and Mandy May were wonderful hosts. The unit was very stylish and clean, and the check-in/check-out process was clear and easy. The location is great and conveniently located by the quarter and many other restaurants and bars. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in NOLA. We highly recommend Krystal and Mandy May! Thanks for an excellent stay!

  • Location is great. They provide detergent for clothes. However, washing machine was not working. And bedding sheets has a wet stain, luckily it was at the bottom part. Otherwise, whole apt was very clean.Love the wooden floor. I would like to stay again in the future.

    Noelle2017-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Love, love, loveeee this place! I can't say enough about Coco & Andrew's "House Of Sweet Dreams"! The house itself is old NOLA shotgun style and has been decorated gorgeously by the two artists to reflect the personality of the city. SERIOUSLY, this place is better than any hotel you will come across and Coco & Andrew are the most gracious and loving hosts. They even provide you with a pamphlet with their local recommendations on everything from New Orleans cuisine to safety tips! Truly a job well done, any place I will visit on Airbnb will have an extremely hard time beating this gem!

    Billy2013-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a special eclectic space. The bed was comfy and located in a quiet neighbourhood... although the house was very hot if the window air conditioner was not on (that might seem obvious, but we had to run it all night, too, which was noisy). The neighbourhood seemed safe and while we had intentions of using the bikes, we had no energy in the hot heat of NOLA! While we never met any of our hosts, it was refreshing to be able to check in and out as we pleased. Erica was gracious to share some of her ingredients for cooking, too. :)

    Janet2013-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • I've spend two wonderful days in NOLA and I really enjoyed to stay by Coco & Andrew. Very clean and safe. What I enjoyed the most was to take a bike (there's plenty) and take a ride to the French Quarter, by day or night it's quite easy and good. I also loved to rum the morning at the Esplanade street, what a beautiful place. The Degas House at Esplanade is a good spot. I want to come back!

    Adalberto2013-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great house in a safe neighborhood close to everything a visitor would want to experience in New Orleans! Awesome hosts, Coco and Andrew, make you feel welcome and comfortable in this well decorated place filled with character. The available bikes were fantastic and definitely well utilized everyday during our stay! We really enjoyed our stay here!

Our apartment is located in a historic home. You'll appreciate the beauty of the original floors and finishes. You'll love the neighborhood. Tremé is a culturally rich area, full of gorgeous architecture and a deep musical tradition. It's an easy walk to the French Quarter and famed Congo Square. Also nearby is St. Louis Cemetary #1, resting place of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau.

  • The house was amazing and Trudell and her husband were amazing and very welcoming. Everything was as expected and more!

    Rose2015-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed this apt very much. It felt like real New Orleans from start to finish. A great welcome from Trudell. We were able to walk to the FQ when we had time and quick Uber when needed.

  • This was not only my first time to NOLA, but also my first time using airbnb. The apartment is BEAUTIFUL! Brandon did an amazing job on it. He was so friendly, sweet, and accommodating. There was a bottle of Prosecco, local NOLA beers/root beer, muffaletta sandwiches, tiramisu and doberge cake in the refrigerator when we arrived. Also, if you forgot anything they had all the toiletries you would need! The apartment is approximately a 15 minute to the French Quarter. You have to cross under Interstate 10 which can be busy depending on the time of day, but we managed just fine! At night we would request a cab – which took just a few minutes to show up. The location is perfect and quiet for the most part. I say "most part" because there were 3 dogs at the house next door that would bark/whine and could be heard in the bedroom in the morning. If I plan another trip to NOLA I will definitely want to stay at the apartment again!

    Casey2014-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Brandon's boutique apt. in Treme. Had some trouble getting in initially (Brandon was out of town), but we were let in by a resident in one of the apartments, Glenn. Apartment was exactly as it looked in the photos and in great condition. Nice treats and toiletries left for us as well (plus champagne). Overall, the apartment was great. It was a quick walk to the action during the day, but I don't recommend walking at night (we took cabs or used uber, which seems to be growing in popularity in N.O.). All in all, a great stay.

    Jamie2015-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon and Truedell have a lovely home. It is the essence of Old New Orleans. The apt was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay and will def be repeat (Website hidden by Airbnb) was relaxing and quiet. Thanks B&T....

  • The Boutique unit was all it said it would be. It was clean, spacious and had all the amenities. Communication was great! The wifi just wasn't working very well...connectivity problems. But would highly recommend this spot.

  • Loved staying in this beautiful plantation home! Truedell and Maximillion (her beautiful dog) were very accommodating with our needs and were truly helpful with the locales of NOLA. Short walk to Bourbon st and other fun places. The pics are EXACTLY as they seem and we were very impressed. Thank you!

This lovely and historic cottage is located just steps from the French Quarter. Enjoy comfort and privacy in a classic New Orleans cottage. There are two bedrooms, and one bath. The cottage is cable and wifi equipped.
This is a true New Orleans cottage, charming and comfortable.
We are on a gorgeous street, very close to the French Quarter.
  • The house was fantastic, looks as good as the photos. Katherine was there to greet us and it all went very smoothly. The place was very clean and is located in a very nice suburb close to restaurants and supermarkets. Highly recommended.

    Benjamin2015-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy's charming cottage is a find. Nicely decorated - clean and elegant, not cookie-cutter vacation rental. Close to the French Quarter, and the beautiful City Park/NOLA art museum. It is close to a busy intersection, so a little noisy, but nothing that bothered us. Kathy is nearby and was the perfect friendly welcoming hostess! We'd like to stay here again, for longer next time.

    Ann2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nice location close to French Quarter and City Park. Easy access to public transportation. Perhaps a bit of TLC to fix electrical switches, electrical plug covers, many light bulbs not operative, bedroom closet door needing some repair, toilet somewhat loose and concrete floor would benefit from a new coat of paint. During our stay we needed to turn heating on and had difficulties controlling temperature between lower and upper level...providing instructions would help. Despite those few areas needing a bit of attention with only few hours of work, the house was clean, beds comfortable and living space perfectly suites. Would still recommend people needing a place to stay in NOLA to stay at this place.

    Gilles2017-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time, thanks, in large part, to Katharine and her quaint, comfortable, and beautiful cottage. Kathy was so pleasant, kind, attentive, and accommodating! She lives next door to the cottage and was very responsive at all times, providing excellent suggestions on things to see and do and places to visit, including great food recommendations. When we had questions about anything in the cottage (and really anything at all), she was super prompt and thorough. She even treated us to some delightfully delicious gumbo from a neighborhood eatery! The cottage was very convenient to the French Quarter as well as major roads and freeways to anywhere else we wanted to go. You can likely find everything you might need within walking distance of the cottage. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and we highly recommend it.

    Helaman2015-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Katharine was super, super sweet and helpful. The place was great, well appointed, well stocked and very well located. We loved it, highly recommend the place and the host!

  • It was a lovely experience staying at the cottage air bnb. We were delighted that she had prepared us for a great in New Orleans!

    Janki2017-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy is a charming host and I am so grateful for her services! My friend arrived before me so she was greeted by Kathy and a hot cup of gumbo. I arrived the following day and was very pleased with the cottage. The shower and bathroom was super clean and stocked with toiletries. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice and toasty during the colder nights. The cottage was bright and cheery; we were extremely satisfied with our decision to rent this cute cottage! We were close enough to main street that we could easily get a cab and we were not too far from all our destination outings. Be prepared to use a taxi to get around, but every driver we had was very friendly and informative about the city and the fares were not outrageous. Also, Kathy is close by so she is really accessible and super sweet :-)

  • From the moment we arrived we knew we were in for such a wonderful experience. Ernie was waiting for us outside as our taxi arrived, and gave us such a warm & enthusiastic greeting. The pictures don't even do this home justice - it's absolutely beautiful. I had been anticipating arriving and being impressed given all of the other reviews, but I couldn't anticipate just how friendly and wonderful the entire experience was. In a nutshell, Ernie was so lovely, polite, and helpful, and this home is the perfect place to stay while visiting. If you are considering staying here you absolutely MUST. You won't get a better experience elsewhere.

    Jenene2014-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Delightful accommodations. Great neighborhood and Leslie is full of local history. Highly recommended.

  • If you want to get immersed in NOLA culture and meet a wonderful host, this is your best choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Leslie's amazing home and also enjoyed the neighborhood.

    Stan2018-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We arranged for Leslie to pick us up from Louis Armstrong Int'l on very short notice and Leslie was more than accommodating. He picked us up, took us for a short tour of the French Quarter, told us some basic history on the way, and took the time to show us around his place when we arrived. The place is just as described. The beds are comfy, the rooms are turned down every day with fresh towels and cloths. Toiletries were provided in abundance, including toothbrushes, razors, feminine hygeine products, shaving foam, shampoo, etc. Glasses, forks and spoons, snacks, candies, pop, water, and basically everything you really could want is all provided from day 1. Couldn't ask for more. We even got surprised by a "I AM CANADIAN" flag one afternoon :) The neighbourhood is FANTASTIC!! We ate at Satsuma every morning for breakfast and couldn't possibly think of going anywhere else. We ate at Oxalis for dinner once, and the drinks and food were all great. We didn't visit, but were told that Marky's on Friday is amazing (get there at 4 to get in early on the crawfish). We spent an evening at Bacchanal watching the Courtyard Kings and had a great time. All within 15 minutes walking distance! To get an Uber to or from the French Quarter is about $6 US. Garden District is about $12. Overall, Leslie was great, we had ample privacy and never felt like we weren't being left alone, always felt well cared for and would absolutely, 100% without any doubt, visit Leslie and his beautiful home again.

    Cameron2016-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most amazing week at Leslie's home, its so much more beautiful than photos can show. Leslie was thoughtful and funny. The neighborhood is beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was by far the best place we have ever stayed.

    Kristen2018-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • These guys must be among the greatest hosts on earth - super friendly and helpful. The house is just beautiful, located in a very nice neighbourhood; this is simply the perfect place to stay whatever you have to do in New Orleans, and shall we ever come back here, we know where we wil stay. Thank you so much, Robert and Erni!

    Joachim2012-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in this beautiful home for 5 days and it sure wasn't long enough! Both Robert and Ernie were helpful and pleasant company. The home had everything we needed and more. I almost feel a bit homesick for the Louisa house and this amazing city and can't wait to return!

One of a kind house overlooking Bourbon St. and Orleans Ave. across from the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. This overlooks Bourbon Street in the exact center of the French Quarter.
This is an upstairs unit with a corner Bourbon Street balcony in the middle of one of the most iconic locations in the city.
This is a unique place and you will be living in the very center of the French Quarter. I love our neighborhood because of its uniqueness, diversity, and liveliness. It is so rich with history and recognizable around the world as " New Orleans". Whether it's 3 o'clock in afternoon or 3 o'clock in the morning, there is always something going on in the French Quarter.

  • Andres was an amazing host. Extremely responsive to every question my friends and I had. There were plenty of towels and ear plugs (which definitely came in handy). The location could not be better for those who are truly looking to embroil themselves in the French Quarter. Just a short walk to everything you could ever want (including Cafe Du Monde). The space itself was much larger than the pictures gave it credit. The highlight would be the balcony. We spent most of our time there, soaking up Bourbon Street. Thank you again! • Location location location! This is the ideal place. You can take part in the festivities on the street or you can watch from your balcony above. We were on a girl's trip and this was the perfect spot. We enjoyed shopping, dining, jazz etc all within walking distance. The apartment is in the middle of it all! Great stay!

  • Great location on bourbon. The earplugs were a thoughtful touch and so needed! Be mindful there are no pots or pans, ice or bottle openers and corkscrews. Beds were comfortable. Worth every penny!

  • Ryan's place is conveniently located and spacious. It's a minimalist space, no need to worry about your dog doing any damage.

    Martina2018-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great value, great location. Ryan lives close by so he’s available quickly if you need him. Otherwise he lets you enjoy your space. Good host.

    Jake2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan was a great host! There to greet me when I checked in and available throughout my stay. The house is awesome and beds very comfortable! Fast wifi and roku on the TV.

  • We enjoyed our stay at the purple house. Very clean. The neighborhood was nice, quiet, and safe. Our dog, Nas, loved walks in this neighborhood more than at home. The host, Ryan, was present but not intrusive in anyway.

    Chelsea2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • It is a nice cute house. Ryan was very helpful with information we needed. Thank you!

    Rachel2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Pretty standard small apartment with everything you will need. Great deal for the money. Nice location away from the homeless and tourist heavy french quarter.

    Andrew2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • We needed a last min place to stay while being displaced from Hurricane Irma and Ryan was very accommodating. His place was exactly like pictured. It is near Tulane and it looks like the neighborhood is made up of students. We felt very safe here. The porch is nice and big, I loved relaxing out there with my dog. The back porch is shared with Ryan, it is filled with beautiful plants and has a table and chairs as well as a grill. The kitchen and bathroom are stocked with anything you'd need during the stay. Everything felt very very clean. There are earplugs by the bed since the house is on a busy road, but it didn't bother me since I live downtown and use to the sound of traffic. Check in and out was super easy and we enjoyed our stay.

Located on the grand promenade of historic Treme, fully equipped: coffeemaker, mini refrigerator, microwave, TVcable, wifi, 2 full beds, 1 futon sofa bed (4-6 guests no extra charge), and kitchenette. 1.4 miles, 25min/walk to French quarter, 5 min. Whole food market, Willie Maes Restaurant, and close to the system of transportation.
There is a room to park in front of 2636 Saint Ann, on the street next to the orange cone, (one side of a duplex house) or you could park cross street if there is not much traffic.
The neighborhood is safe, but still, it is in process of recovering since hurricane Katrina.

  • This place was a perfect for the price and location. It's small yet very spacious and comfortable. It's a 20 min walk or a very cheap uber to the French Quarter. Fernando was such a great host. He is right next door and very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. I will definitely be staying here again when I am in town.

    Kimberly2017-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Fernando’s place is very nice, everything you need for a great stay, beds are comfortable, fully stocked bathroom and functional kitchen, would stay again. Bring earplugs though. There’s a neighborhood rooster that crows before 5am every day.

  • Great place in a great area! Ubers are super cheap, and the area is really Quiet! Theres places to get food really close by, walking distance if you like to walk! Best food I had the during my stay was a block away! Must try willie Mae’s!

  • Great place to stay if you’re looking for a place to sleep outside of noisy FQ. Beds were comfy, shower had great water pressure and the kitchenette was handy. Treme is lovely during the day so take the time to walk through on your way.

    Nicol2018-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • For the value, accommodating host and comfortable beds this is a great place to stay. We appreciated being away from crowds and revelry of the French Quarter yet close enough for a morning walk in and a short ride back.

position, position, position. If that's what you want, this has it. You will be hard pressed to find anything this size and this close to the heartbeat of the musical, gastronomic and cultural delights of New Orleans at this price point. Just 3 blocks to the French Quarter, 1 block from Louis Armstrong Park and 2 blocks from Esplanade, you're smack dab in the middle of trendy Treme, while being an easy stroll or bike ride to the French Quarter, the Marigny or Frenchman St for a nightly musical smorgasbord. Seeking a single/couple of nonsmoking guests who can appreciate a clean and comfortable respite. On a property that houses 3 apartments, historic creole cottage, an attached studio is available for short stays. Newly renovated large studio space with hardwood floor throughout, furnished with leather sofa, desk and kitchen table. Studio has a Kuerig style coffee maker, small mini fringe and microwave. Nola's is not equipped for making meals - just a basic cup of coffee, keeping your drinks cold or reheating your leftovers. Large marble tiled bathroom with bath/shower, vanity and toilet. Small and cosy separate bedroom with a queen bed and clothes hanging space. Two private locked entrances with fly screen doors separate and independent of main building. AC/heat, controlled temperature. The backyard is shared and a tranquil retreat in the middle of a very central city location. A outdoor table is nestled for communal use in the back courtyard corner. free wifi access, shelf stereo. TV and selection of dvds One Night Minimum. Four night maximum.

    Francisco2018-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable spot to stay - very close to the quarter. Highly recommended!

    Rachel2016-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I just stayed at NOLA's studio for 4 days and we had an amazing time! The studio was clean and beautifully decorated and had everything we could have needed for our stay, down to extra toiletries in the bathroom and dishes in the kitchenette. I loved having the fridge, coffee maker, and water cooler -- being able to buy and store some small essentials for breakfast and snacks saved us a lot of money and was very convenient. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and modern. It was an easy to walk into the French Quarter but was just far enough away that we had a quiet retreat to return to after the noise and excitement of the city. The hosts were always available for assistance and were more than happy to answer any questions we had about the studio or the city. We also used Carol as our cab driver back to the airport on the host's recommendation and everything everyone says about her is true! What a pleasant and helpful woman!! We loved our trip and would definitely stay here again and recommend the place to friends.

    Alissa2014-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in NOLA's studio. The house was clean, quiet, centrally located and had the basics that we needed for a fun weekend in new orleans.

    Catherine2015-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place to stay! So so so close to the French Quarter, we were able to walk there every morning! It's just down the block (no really, like JUST down the black) from Louis Armstrong Park. There was soft music playing for us as we arrived, which was a nice touch. The room was surprisingly spacious, had beautiful decor and an awesome bathroom. If you rent a car: there is plenty of street parking, we didn't have any problems at all. We would absolutely stay here again!

    Sara2015-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This review is written for the other possible renters of NOLA’s Studio; it is not written to serve the owner or AirBnB. Our bottom line: we were satisfied. We wanted a real ‘home’ (more about the inverted quotes below) in an authentic neighborhood -- and to avoid the tourist areas. Our trip was brief so we did not need a kitchen to cook in. By these criteria, the place satisfied us. However, there were some minor disappointments: the bed, the TV, the block, and the kitchen. The bed is very soft. I am about 6 feet and weigh around 215 (not small but not gigantic). The bed sagged significantly under me and my wife rolled into the crater. The softness did not help our backs. If you need a firm mattress, be warned. As others have noted, there is no cable TV. We could not get the TV to pick up local broadcasts either. We wanted to watch a bit of the Olympics, and so that was a minor disappointment. Visitors should be aware that the unit is in Treme, about 3 blocks north of the northern border of the French Quarter (Rampart St). Treme has quite a few abandoned, boarded homes, one of which is immediately adjacent to NOLA’s Studio; another is directly across the street. If you are expecting quaintness and charm on the block, you may be disappointed. Finally, the kitchen is not exactly a kitchen. There is no stove, no sink, no dishwasher, no utensils to cook with. If you have cooking in mind, you’ll be disappointed. The lack of a kitchen is one reason I refer to this as a ‘home,’ but not a home. It was apparently designed to be rented as an AirBnB unit. That was fine with us; we did not intend to cook or eat there. Like most reviewers, we had no direct contact with the owner, Whitney, though she did send two canned emails. We were met, punctually and courteously, by Brian, who apparently lives in the main house. But, again, if you’re expectation is that you will be staying in someone’s home, and you’ll meet that someone, your expectations will not quite be met. Again, however, if you are under the impression that because this unit is being rented through AirBnB it is someone’s home, or is a a kind of BnB, you might be disappointed. In the end, we wanted to be out of the French Quarter, we wanted a clean, reasonably priced alternative, and that’s what we got. I give this a 4* review.

Located on the residential side of Bourbon St. you will enjoy the quietness at night and sleep like a baby and few steps all the action of Bourbon and the Marigny area. This mansion was built in the 1830s n was recently converted into Luxury condos. STR Licence #: 17STR-09001
The living room has one queen sofa bed for two people, located in front of the charming courtyard, large balcony on the second floor, master bedroom with private bathroom, second bedroom with a set of bunk beds and daybed to sleep four people, kitchen, dining room, additional bathroom on the first floor, TV.
  • This condo was in a wonderful location, quiet and with easy access to everything (south past Jackson Square, we recommend an Uber over walking) and would be perfectly suited for someone who is on the go most of their stay or doing the party scene. As a three-generation family group, we do a little more sprawling and gathering at the end of the day than this condo is designed for, but this was so much better than multiple hotel rooms and worked just fine overall. The full-size fridge, stove, and microwave made it easy to feed everyone when we didn’t want to eat out, and the hot water outlasted three teenage girls every day. Balcony and patio were perfect for morning coffee, and location was easy to access for those driving in for a stay. We had a great time! PS - the spiral staircase is a doozy. You have to experience it to understand what the reviewers mean when mentioning it; it’s an adventure, but manageable.

  • We were blown away by this condo. It was beautiful and in the perfect location. Would love to come back to this house again .

  • Great place! It was close to all the meetings I had. Ryan, our Hospitality Assistant, was amazing. He was available for tips on parking and during the check-in process. I do wish there was a parking lot (my issue, not the location).

    Kathryn2017-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing condo tucked in a quiet part of Bourbon St. It is centrally located, and you can walk to every single place you could ever imagine. The hosts are incredibly accommodating. The condo itself has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. My party of 6 had no problems with the amount of space and the accommodations were perfect. It was immaculate when we arrived. There is a 24-hour convenience store a block away. You can walk all of the French Quarter from this location. I cannot imagine wanting to stay anywhere else (or with anyone else for that matter) after spending a weekend in this condo. I want to personally thank DeeDee for helping us with a late checkout on Sunday. Stay here! You won't regret it.

    Kevin2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We came for 4 days to celebrate at bachelorette! We had a great stay here! It was about a 7 minute walk to the main part of bourbon street, which we didn't mind at all. We liked being on the more quiet end of the street! Also, it is 2 minute walk to Frenchman Street, which has all the good jazz music and a great coffee shop! The space is comfy and fit the 5 of us great, it might be a little tight with more than 6. The courtyard and balcony were very nice and we enjoyed sitting outside! I would definitely come back! Thanks!

    Ashley2017-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great. This place would be good for large groups (6-10 people) looking to spend their time on bourbon st and Frenchman st. The amenities are rough but the courtyard is great.

    Erica2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous space in a great location! An excellent home base to explore New Orleans from. We have 2 young children and they loved the communal courtyard and having space to move around downstairs. The apartment was really quiet at night and a great place to relax after a day of sight seeing. Super easy walk to the French market etc and some great playgrounds nearby for the kids. The hosts were brilliant, very easily contactable and accommodating. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay with a family. Thanks again.

This cute 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment truly feels like an oasis. Let it be your refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is located in Treme on Bayou Road, near the famed French Quarter. Perfect for Jazz Fest and other events. Book today!
Our apartment is located in a historic home. You'll appreciate the beauty of the original floors and finishes. The furnishings are both comfortable and functional, while honoring the style of the home. We can comfortably accommodate two people, although a third person could definitely sleep on the couch.
  • Such a beautiful apartment! The hospitality and friendly hosts, Trudell and Angie are number 1 in my book. We felt very at home & truly enjoyed enjoyed the lovely and unique city of New Orleans.

  • This was my first ever airbnb experience and i could not have been happier and was surprised with how pleased my boyfriend was with the whole experience as well (he has a critique for absolutely everything its pretty ridiculous). Communication with our host Trudell (brandon was out of town) before arrival and throughout the stay was flawless and she was kind enough to accommodate an early check in. I'm from New Orleans myself so it was great listening to her suggestions on great restaurants and spots around the city and she was spot on,recommending the best of the best. She also had a basket of toiletries sitting on the bed upon arrival in case we forgot or needed anything, that contained things i never even thought of,so that was a blessing in itself. The apartment itself was absolutely gorgeous, spacious and extremely clean . The furniture was beautiful, yet comfortable and inviting. The queen sized bed in the bedroom was extremely comfortable. i honestly slept a whole lot more than i intended to because i got such a great nights sleep and i hardly wanted to get out of it. Don't even try to get me started on the bathroom. i loved the huge Jacuzzi tub, where i would take late night baths and read for hours, and i took so many unnecessary showers because the 6 head rain shower that could honestly fit up to 8 people is to die for.It was stocked with towels, and the decor and set up was just as immaculate as the rest of the unit. The full kitchen was spacious with high quality amenities, gorgeous counter tops, and completely stocked with different styles of dishes, glass wear, utensils, cook wear, paper towels, etc. pretty much anything you would need to cook and clean up after a good meal. The only complaint i have to make about my experience was having to leave. it was down right depressing. All in all, this appartment is a gem and i enjoyed the host as much as i did the unit.i will definitely be staying here again!

Our newly renovated apartment is right in the middle of town, within walking distance of Magazine St. and just on the edge of the Garden District. Plus, it's just 3 blocks from the streetcar and St. Charles Ave.
Please be our guest in the newly renovated apartment situated at the back of our really old (1850s), charmingly-dilapidated house. It’s just a couple blocks from the parade route/street car/St. Charles, and only about a mile from the Superdome. They don’t call it Central City for nothing! Walk past the main house, down a winding brick pathway, and up the stairs to the private entrance. You enter into the kitchen, with concrete countertops, old wood floors, and plenty of sunlight pouring through the original wood windows with old bubbly glass. Fix yourself a drink and head up the spiral stairs to the bedroom. Just around the iron handrail is a full size bed, and plenty of reading material about the places you’ll want to see and the food you’ll want to eat while you’re here. Then venture out the bedroom door onto the balcony. Did I mention you’re on the third floor now? The view is excellent, the palm trees sway in the wind, and you can hear the marching bands as they pass down the parade route. I almost forgot the bathroom. Honestly, it’s not huge. But it’s everything you need, plus a claw foot tub. And cozy towels, and bubble bath, and . . . well, it’s a bathroom. And just in case you’re wondering, it also has a flat-screen tv, cable, internet, a microwave, a coffee maker, all the things you need in a kitchen, and probably some welcoming Abita beers in the fridge.
Central City is the Best! We're right in the middle of everything. . . and I don't mean right in the middle of the French Quarter, I mean in the middle of a less touristy, little bit quieter New Orleans. We're just on the edge of the Garden District, a short walk from Magazine St, and just 3 blocks form the streetcar line. Plus, we're only one block from the super hip, up and coming Oretha Castle Haley Blvd where you'll find the best coffee, the indiest movies, a few restaurants, the new Food and Beverage Museum, and a tatoo parlor in case you're in the market. So come check out my neighborhood, you'll love it like I do!
  • Jackson was a great host! She checked in with us before we arrived and was very responsive to texts. We felt very welcome and appreciated the tips on where to go nearby. I loved the style of the house and the view from the balcony. Don't forget to check out the great books on New Orleans' history under the TV. The streetcar was only a few minutes away and provided easy access to the French Quarter. You can also enjoy the outdoor sitting area by the chickens! I would recommend Jackson's place to anyone who can navigate a spiral staircase and a claw foot bathtub. Enjoy your stay in New Orleans!

  • This apartment was lovely! Perfect for two people, charming, well lit, and beautifully decorated. It was nice to be located so close to the streetcar, which made getting around New Orleans easy. We felt welcomed and accommodated by Jackson, who was very kind and easy to talk to.

  • We really enjoyed staying at Jackson's charming and thoughtful location. Being only 3 blocks away from the streetcar made traveling around NOLA very easy.

    Janet2013-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a great week in Jackson's apartment in New Orleans. It is a very very beautiful and well located apartment. Jackson was very welcoming. She gave us eggs from her hens, had beers in the fridge and more! I wish my wife,my little girl and myself will come back to New Orleans one day (hopefully at Jackson's place!) to discover more of this interesting city. The Garden neighborhood is also very pleasant to walk around, with plenty of trees and plants everywhere! We really had a great time and warmly recommend Jackson's place to everyone. Thanks again, Julien, Violaine & Willow

    Julien2013-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jackson's apartment was the perfect place to stay for a long weekend in New Orleans. The location made it easy to walk to St. Charles and Magazine St. and really wasn't a bad trek down to the French Quarter from there either. The apartment was clean and the balcony provided a fantastic place to drink coffee and listen to the hens in the morning. We would definitely book this place on our next visit!

    Courtney2014-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and very well maintained apartment. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    Brendan2016-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jackson's apartment was really cool and priced well.. she was very helpful with a few questions we had and gave us complete privacy. The only drawback was the bed was really small for 2 big guys especially, I think it was a full, a queen would have been great. The chickens in the coop outside were neat and Jackson graciously gave us eggs when we asked, she also let us do a load of laundry in the basement which was really nice. The area is convenient to the French Quarter where we were working, although there are certain block and areas close to the apartment you DO NOT want to venture, Jackson will tell you, but you will realize pretty fast the areas you should not go. There is NOT a (really) close supermarket which was a bummer, but we found an awesome Rouse's about a 20-25 minute walk (great organic supermarket with hydroponic garden on roof) we took a cab back with the groceries. Really cool experience, you need to be OK with the bedroom being upstairs and the bathroom down a long winding spiral staircase which can be a bit of a challenge to navigate in the middle of the night or after a few glasses of wine. Jackson gave us extra towels when we asked and even let us have a small package delivered before our arrival of some things we needed for work. Recommended!

    Cameron2017-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Shannon & Jan's apartment was great, the perfect home base for our week in New Orleans. The apartment was beautiful and had just the right amenities to add to our stay (comfy couch, record player, pots & pans for meals in). Everything was very clean and they were very communicative to us about everything. The neighborhood is very convenient and such an easy Uber right anywhere. One direction out of the apartment draws beautiful houses and really nice walk along Esplanade, the other way is a a bit of a shadier area. As long as your visiting the sites and everything downtown, nothing to worry about. Everyone in the area was super friendly to us when out on the streets or neighboring areas. Definitely a great stay!

    Jeff2016-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Really close to the French Quarter and a bus stop right on the corner.

  • What a cute little getaway spot right in the city! Loved how easy it was to check in and check out and how beautiful and comfortable the home was!

    Dan2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious little one bedroom ! Super cute inside and close to everything . Neighborhood isn't the greatest but didnthave one problem and people seemed to be super friendly everywhere ! Would stay again and would recommend

    Nikki2016-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This space was absolutely perfect! It was a five minute Uber ride from both the French Quarter and Magazine Street/Garden District. Jo was speedy in response to any questions that arose, but was otherwise super hands-off; which was absolutely perfect! The space was clean, well stocked with any necessities, and super homey and comfortable. She even included a written list of recommended bars/restaurants-which was greatly appreciated!

Our cool and comfortable studio apartment is the perfect little hideaway to retreat to after enjoying this beautiful city. It comfortably fits two and is located in the beautiful Oak lined neighborhood of Carrolton. Just one block from the Carrolton/St.Charles Streetcar line and walking distance to many restaurants/bars.
You have private access to a bottom floor studio apartment. You will have full private access to the whole studio and come and go as you please.
My studio is nestled on the bottom floor of my two story house and I currently occupy the upstairs so I will be available for anything you may need. Located in the beautiful neighborhood of Carrolton, it's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD and French Quarter, but one block from the Carrolton/St Charles Street car line (20 minute ride on the streetcar to downtown or Napoleon Avenue where all the uptown Mardi Gras parades start). Oak street is a 4 block walk from the apartment where there are a lot of local restaurants and bars including the famous Maple Leaf bar and Jacques-Imo's Creole Restaurant. Just a few more blocks down is the famous diner Camellia Grill and the streetcar can take you directly Downtown/French Quarter and the shopping on Magazine street.

    Merce2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Claire's place was fantastic! It was cute and just the right size for two! It was in a great location and it was clean and perfect with the side entrance. Would definitely stay here again!

    Katherine2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect, private space to get away to explore NOLA. The location is off the beaten path, thus quiet, but a mere block from the streetcar line, allowing quick transport to any tourist destination or university campus! Check-in/check-out was seamless, and the place was cute and tidy.

    Erin2017-06-01T00:00:00Z

Classic old New Orleans "shotgun" house. Vintage, rustic living. Not glamorous. Not a hotel. Cracks in the walls, old doors. Located just a few blocks from the French Quarter and only two blocks from "The Marigny" and a short walk to Frenchmen Street with live jazz and blues bars and clubs playing all through the night. First time using Airbnb? Get $40 off your stay with this link! https://abnb.me/e/IfmJLljEJJ
100 year old shotgun house and you can feel it. It has cracks in walls here and there. It has old charm but the claw-foot bathtub has stains that won't come out and that's a problem for some people. I love this house but it's not for people who are not ok with "bohemian/rustic" living.
15 min walk to French Quarter and 10 min walk to Frenchmen Street. 2 blocks from bus and street car. 70% black, 30% white ish. For all of you who think that black is dangerous this will not be a good town for you. My neighbors are friendly and usually its very quiet and residential. Kids play basketball in the street. People hang out on their porches etc.
  • Isobel was easy to communicate with and very flexible about our arrival time. She lives next door so she is easy to contact. The house itself is simply furnished but adequate if you'll be spending most of your time away in the city. The neighborhood is a bit downtrodden, but it's an easy walk to the french quarter. One bedroom has air conditioning. Bring your own toiletries since soap/shampoo was not provided and there was only one towel for two people.

    Alvaro2014-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had great time at the house! Beautiful place, very spacious & clean. Really loved the garden! Would definitely stay there again!

    M2016-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great if your spending time between the bi-water, marigny & quarter (which is exactly what I needed). The place itself is fine, but those little a/c's are having a hard time of it in the New Orleans summer. It was over cast most of the time I was there and I only slept there, it got cool enough at night to sleep. I only met Isobel briefly when I arrived as she was on her way out of the country. The street is a little sketchy at night but no problems. I would stay there again.

    Joe2014-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Where to begin? Very disappointing. Stay away unless you don't care about anything. I was not really made to feel welcome, or unwelcome. The neighborhood seemed pretty sketchy. To get into the house we had to walk through a very narrow corridor with overgrown weeds and broken cement, carrying our bags to get to the back door. This was the only way in or out as the front door was welded shut. I believe this is a fire hazard. The back yard was overgrown and there was a toilet in the yard. It seems as though very little, or no effort was put into making anything nice - there was nothing nice about this place. The windows had no screens allowing bugs in. The air conditioning is totally inadequate. 2 units, one in each bedroom, about half the btu's needed for the bedrooms, no AC in the rest of the house. AC was not turned on prior to our arrival even though we told the host our ETA - the house was sweltering and took several hours to cool. Back entrance had no working light, making it difficult to see up the back steps - also overgrown with weeds, and to get the key in the lock at night. Wifi network was not to be found in the house manual or on my phone, and when my friend found it the service was very slow. Only on the afternoon of the 2nd day were we told not to park in front of the house, which we were already parked. No blankets on beds (not that we needed them it was so hot) - only a top sheet. Broken glass in the front door frame. Mattresses were old. Shower is small and very little in the way of toiletries - had to hunt for soap and shampoo. Interior doors did not close properly. 7 blocks from French Quarter is very deceptive. It was a 20 minute drive to get there. Many other negatives, too numerous to point out. It's sad because this place has a lot of potential if the owners would fix it up. Stay away, you can do much better (Website hidden by Airbnb)

  • Great location. Few minutes away from everything!

    Samuel2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cheap and basic accommodations close to Frenchman and French Quarter. No complaints.

    Jon2017-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Isobel was awesome! Super accommodating. House was very clean and right down the street from the jazz district. I would recommend however if you're not looking for a true downtown experience or have someone a little too hoity-toity staying with you this might not be the spot. But I thought it was quite an awesome experience!

    Krista2014-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The location was perfect for being close to music at Frenchman St. The house was comfortable and just right for the 2 of us. It was nice to have washer and dryer since we stayed a week. I found the neighbors friendly, we had no problems. I text Isobel when we got there and she got back to me right away.

Hola!
  • A realy nice Place to stay and explore New Orleans. We Are happy that wie could manage to Book the accomodation for a Second Time.

  • Although I didn't get to stay at Mari's place because our trip was booked for the weekend of Hurricane Harvey, I valued the great communication I had with her while trying to decide if we should still go. I greatly appreciated her flexibility and patience. Sadly, we stayed in Houston but I was happy that visiting friends still had a place to go. Thanks, Mari!

    Catherine2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Three of us had a comfortable stay at Mari's place. We had a couple of requests when we arrived and Mari was very responsive. The house itself is beautiful with very interesting touches. The architecture is unique - in fact, the entire neighborhood is very picturesque. We would recommend walking on the trail by the river at sunset and looking across at the French Quarter and downtown New Orleans.

    Kerry And Rahul2018-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a funky rad apartment in a really cool neighborhood. Super close to French quarter et al via Lyft/Uber, and we had fun exploring the neighborhood and taking the ferry! Highly recommend for a fun, local, off-the-beaten path area to explore New Orleans.

    Sydnee2019-01-16T00:00:00Z

    Nicole2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved Mari’s space! It was perfect for the three of us! She gave many suggestions for places to visit. All our inquiries were answered very quickly. We walked daily to the ferry and then back at night-and felt perfectly safe in the neighborhood. We loved having Cassie visit us!

    Glennis2018-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • The house is charming and located in an authentic non-touristy area. It's close to the ferry, and only a 10 min drive downtown. There is a nice breakfast spot a couple of streets away, and there is a fully equipped kitchen in the house. Next time in New Orleans I'll stay here again! much more relaxing than the French Quarter ;) Side note: The bathroom and kitchen are located in the back of the house, so you do have to cross all bedrooms before you get there which might not be too convenient if you don't know your fellow travelers that well ;)

    Dorien2018-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mari's apartment is so cute. The neighborhood is quite and safe. The check in and out was super easy. The apartment was super clean. Mari communicated really well with us. Before and after we got there. The drive from the apartment to the French Quarter took us about 10-15mins. We would rebook again to stay with Mari if there was availability. She was great.

Lovely apt with 14 foot ceilings and exposed plaster walls right in the middle of the French Qtr and the Garden Dist, 10 minute walk to the Convention Center, and with wonderful food and drink options within one block. Separate entrance and entire floor of 1850s brick townhouse. I own the home, and we live on the first floor of the building. We're very thankful to you for staying with us, as your money goes back into the bldg by paying for its continuing restoration! [Listing #: 17STR-08176]
Old 1850s brick townhouse located on the edge of the Lower Garden District. The apartment is romantic, full of antiques, and has a super comfy king size bed. If you love food, you are within walking distance of some great restaurants located either uptown on Magazine Street or downtown in the Warehouse District / CBD. There is a lovely bar right next door, an awesome coffee shop right across the street and a microbrewery with half a block. You are just a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter as well. I own this house, live in the building, and do all the booking, communication and cleaning myself so I'm here to make your stay as great as possible with a a personal touch! Your stay funds the renovation of this building so thanks for considering this for your stay in New Orleans.
I love this neighborhood! It is right in the middle of city along the river, so a more low traffic spot, but with easy access to the more commercial and entertainment districts. It has its own lovely set of bars, coffee shops, and wonderful restaurants very close by though.
  • Lindsey was a wonderful host. She was flexible with us leaving our bags both before check in at the apt and after we checked out but before our flight. The room is just beautiful and as grand as the pictures show, if not even more. Though we didn't need any, the kitchen was stocked with coffee, teas and other amenities. The lower garden district is a perfect place to explore and an easy walk, bike or tram to any other part of New Orleans. Plus there was a great coffee spot across the street and many places to eat down on magazine street. It's really in the middle of town so going to areas around the French Quarter or Bywater was simple, but so was heading the other way to the Audubon. We have a great time!

    Stephie2016-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • From inquiry to booking, thru the entire stay was just easy and smooth. I loved walking 'home' from my travels each day. I loved living in the space and the neighborhood and Lindsey was a great host. She covered all the bases and was available but invisible. One of my best ever Airbnb stays anywhere!

    Ellen2016-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning! The pictures don't even do it justice! Lindsey has done an incredible job with restoring this gorgeous apartment. Lindsey was a wonderful host as well. Very accommodating to my schedule unexpectedly changing, very sweet and welcoming. I've already recommended her place to some friends. Thanks Lindsey for a great first experience in NOLA and the perfect little sanctuary for a night after a draining week!

    Sally2016-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay with a wonderful host.

    Chad2017-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a great experience! The space itself is beautiful with lots of space and natural light, and a ton of character, the photos don't even do it justice. The location is pretty perfect if you prefer being a little bit outside the Bourbon Street action, you're basically equidistant from the touristy French Quarter and the main strip of the more laid-back Garden District. Lindsey left a super-helpful list of suggestions for things to do, places to eat, etc. Wifi, towels, blankets, etc. are all provided. Although it looks like you're right next to the highway, we hardly heard it and the windows don't face that direction. We'd visit again in a heartbeat, and would definitely stay here again!

    Brittney2015-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in this lovely apartment! New Orleans rustic charm in a great area close to everything. We walked to magazine street in 10 mins, great breakfast nearby, biked to French quarter in 15 mins, walked to Arts District as well. The apartment was perfect for our stay, private and beautiful. I would def recommend it highly. We will be back!

    Missy2014-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey's home was everything we needed and more! This gem was exactly the quiet and gorgeous respite we needed at the end of a long day exploring all of the nearby neighborhoods. Lindsey was extremely helpful and kind throughout the entire process knowing that this was my first airbnb experience. The neighborhood is super quiet, with a few museums, really wonderful cafes and bars right around the corner -- Barrel Proof is LITERALLY next door! There was never a time where my friend and I felt unsafe in the neighborhood be it during the day or at night. It is certainly safe to say that should I be returning to NOLA in the near future I would absolutely contact Lindsey again.

    Kathryn2014-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a week, my first time down to NOLA and my boyfriends umpteenth. Lindsey was great! We communicated before the trip there, so that we could make proper arrangements for arrival (her brother and the pup greeted us), and for a good place to drink some beers and participate in "Game Day" since the apartment doesn't have a TV. The apartment was JUST like the photos, down to the boom box on the side table. Though the apartment doesn't have a TV, it does have wifi, so on some of the drizzly days, we hunkered in with hulu. The location is about as awesome as it gets if you have something at the convention center. Not too far away from the buzz of the quarter. The AC seemed like it was going to be small for the space, but with the ceiling fans and AC it was spot on (this coming from someone who loathes muggy weather). Loved the time we stayed there, it felt like home (it has a full kitchen so we could bring home left overs, store beverages, and it was stocked with the necessities for eating, drinking, cooking.) We would definitely go back.

The room does use a shared bathroom, but as most of our guests are focused on exploring the town, this is rarely more than an inconvenience. If you would prefer a room with a private bathroom, we would like to recommend our other listings in our house Creole Cottage in historic Treme #1 and #4. The Cottage started life as a two family home shortly before the American Civil war and has been added to a number of times over the years, unfortunately the specifics of its history are difficult to pin down (although we can make some educated guesses). It's a 20 minute walk(15 minute power walk!) to the French Quarter under those gorgeous 200 year old Oaks, surrounded by gorgeous 200 year old houses, on the former streetcar line. His other Artistic projects include leatherwork (specialising in costume armor) and the occasional piece of furniture. He sells publicly through Secondline Arts & Antiques in the French Quarter, but if you see something you like feel free to ask him if it’s available or whether you can commission something similar. As of late November Rick and Liz are currently taking an extended break from Airbnb to spend time with Ricks elderly mother in New Zealand while Avery runs things here in New Orleans
Historic Treme, Esplanade Ridge, Lower 7th Ward, our neighborhood gets called different names by different people. Historically our neighborhood was part of the Creole side of town (as opposed to the “American” side) and just a stones’ throw from Esplanade Avenue and it’s centuries old Oak trees. Most of the houses in our area predate the Civil war (Creole Cottages and Shotguns) although there are a few places that are more modern (or have been “modernized”) which gives the neighborhood a sense of age that’s impossible to replicate. While it’s true that there are still a number of houses in the area that are currently unoccupied, that number is gradually dwindling and is mostly an aftereffect of Hurricane Katrina. The area is also dotted with small restaurants and Cafes, perfect if you’re looking to get away from the Crowds. Logistically, we’re centrally located and convenient to the French Quarter but not close enough to feel trapped by it while Esplanade Ave forms a direct (and safe) pathway that’s well-traveled day and night. Alternately you can follow Esplanade away from the French Quarter and explore New Orleans City Park (Designed by the same person as Central Park NYC and 50% larger). City Park is a great place to visit, not only for its landscaped scenery but also because it hosts the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) as well as its free attached sculpture garden. Safety is a major concern for many of our guests as New Orleans doesn’t have the best reputation in that regard; we can honestly say that our neighborhood is quite safe, we’re less than a block from a main road (Esplanade) that’s well lit and well-traveled at all times of the day and night. If you aren’t comfortable with walking back to our place, Uber or Lyft usually run less than $10, although frankly, the French Quarter is the most dangerous place most tourists are likely to visit, even then, incidents involving our guests are incredibly rare.

  • Rick was an awesome host. I called him and let him know our travel was delayed for the night and he happily let me cancel the reservation the day of. Hopefully next time i'm in NOLA I will get to have a stay here! Would Recommend as a host!

  • Rick and Liz were awesome. Really accomodating and really nice folks. We had a great time there. The house was great and the area is really central, you can pretty much walk down to the French Quarter. So yeah, we will be going back for sure!! Thanks guys!! Andrea and Jordan

  • My bf and I arrived in the afternoon and were received by Rick and his lovely pets. I totally fell in love with the neighborhood! So much history and charm. We did not get to spend much time there but I loved that they had magazines and tour guides of the city in the room. Everything was nice and clean. Thank you Rick & Liz!

  • Rick and Liz! Just the best! Warm and friendly people, sharing their gorgeous space in New Orleans, and sharing lots of great stories about worldly travels. Our room (#3) was beautiful, huge, and so comfortable. Those ceilings must be 20ft high. We can't wait to come back and stay here again. Thanks for everything.

    Carol2015-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Rick and Liz were wonderful hosts, they went above and beyond during my stay, I was truly impressed. My room was beautiful and comfortable, a perfect way to unwind after long days of dining and walking all over town. I would definitely stay with Rick and Liz again and hope to stay in touch.

  • Walkable to the French quarter. Clean and comfortable. Good private space

    Kris2017-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Marcus’ property is about a 500 sqft unit in what looks to be a quadplex. It reminds me of a NYC flat/apt. Property is in a good location, neighborhood is diverse. It’s about a mile walk to the French Quarter and the home is one street over from Frenchman St for night life. $5 ride to Bourbon/Canal or Harrah’s casino area. Property has TV but no streaming service access or cable, bring your DVDs! All said it was a good stay.

    Sheldon2017-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • I'll start by saying this was my first time using Airbnb, and it was a very positive experience. Marcus was an excellent host, and the condo was clean and stocked with little things to make us feel welcomed. The location was central, and was a very "real" New Orleans experience. This is what I was hoping for instead of the typical hotel stay in the tourist/convention areas. The condo itself has old world charm, even though it's updated, and it's in a residential neighborhood convenient to everything you'll want to do. Again, a positive experience, and I would recommend to a savvy traveler.

    David2016-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • This little studio was just what my friend and I needed for a weekend in New Orleans. Marcus was super nice and checked in to make sure everything was going ok. I liked that the door just had a key code so we didn't have to carry a key around. The wifi worked great! 4 towels and lots of washcloths were provided. The location is about 7 blocks from Frenchman. Personally, I would have felt comfortable walking there during the day, but my friend did not. At night, definitely not. But ubers were easily accessible so it wasn't a big deal. The only other thing I didn't like is that the shower/tub is Euro still so the shower head is not attached to the wall above you. Not a big deal for me though. There is a kitchen but not a lot of counter space. I'd recommend eating the delicious food of New Orleans anyways! Overall, I would definitely recommend this place! Thanks, Marcus!

    Allison2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, a bit dated but overall a good place experience.

    Kendrick2018-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute space, centrally located to all the hot spots! Marcus is very friendly and wonderful host!! We didn’t walk to any of the close locations, but we took Uber everywhere. Around 8-15.00 to get to all the hot spots.

  • A lovely place in a charming neighbourhood.

  • Good, safe location. Good for overnight or a few days and a centralized area to explore New Orleans.

  • Cool space for a short trip in New Orleans. Love the front yard and how private it is.

    Phong2017-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was the cutest AirBnB! I was stopping through on my way to Houston for a night and this was the perfect space for me and my animals. It is a quick Uber to the French Quarter, close to I10, and is an outstanding value. It is a small space perfect for 2 people. Leonor was very sweet and accepting of my dog and cat! I will happily stay here anytime I visit NOLA!

    Rashmi2018-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The host was super nice and gave us our space, while also letting us know that if we needed anything she was there. The place was very cute, and myself and my friends were very pleased with the cleanliness of the place. The only complaint I have is that the studio home gets a little stuffy. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. It’s affordable and definitely worth the price!

    Sela2018-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tidy, small studio with private parking and private outside space. Good WiFi. Excellent host communication. Easy self-checkin. The bed is on the softer side - okay for me but not for my husband's previous back injury. We appreciated having filter coffee in the mornings. For the price, it's great deal - staying central in NOLA with a car is not cheap.

  • Nick y Lindsay nos hicieron sentir como en casa una pareja muy agradable y respetuosa, su casa es idéntica a las fotos que muestran muy cómoda limpia el barrio es super tranquilo y cerca del Barrio Frances y del French Market

  • Nick and Lindsay were very welcoming and helpful during our trip. I was traveling with my parents, and they had a couple special requests, which Nick and Lindsay quickly responded to. They are a very nice couple with a very cute B&B. As a plus, I was able to hang out with them on New Year's Eve and see a local band which was fantastic! Two thumbs up!

    Daniel2015-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • It's perfect for two friends who wants to stay separately! Nick was there to greet us and be able to reply us quite quickly whenever we had questions. The location is good, about 10 mins walk from Frenchmen street which has lovely live music!! Only 6-8 dollar Uber to French Quarter. The neighborhood feels safe and even in the evening we don't have problems walking or riding bikes home. The rooms are clean, however the toilet room needs a little bit maintainence (i.e. The toilet bowl cover is loosen) and the shower room is actually very small. :) And quite some bugs in the kitchen during the evening time and I guess it's normal for a house in a warm climate ? Overall it's very nice stay and value for money.

    Berry2016-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Marigny is a great place to stay in New Orleans. And Nick and Lindsays home is fabulous. The rooms are great, very convenient located (walking distance to all the NOLA attractions) and Nick and Lindsay are just lovely. They gave us great insider tipps about restaurants and attractions. We loved staying with them! Thanks again!

    Valentin2013-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic experience. If you have one night to spend in Nola and a free morning to walk the neighborhoods this is the place to go. As far as the room itself it was as advertised and very comfortable. I never met my hosts but they gave me a key code.

    Anthony2016-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Nick and Lindsay were very friendly and helpful. Nice house and really great location. If i'll ever be in new orleans again i would definetly come again

    Barak2014-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Charming house and very friendly hosts - upstairs space felt very private and comfortable. Location was convenient for walk-friendly folks. We made the trek into the French Quarter a couple times per day. Would absolutely re-book!

    Jennifer2015-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • The location is ideal as it is located between our two favorite NOLA areas - Frenchmen St. and the Bywater (plus, rent a bike and you'll never need a car/cab between CBD/French Quarter/City Park/etc). The space is great and unique, especially the outside courtyard/balcony space to cool off with an late afternoon cocktail. You basically get a clean comfortable room, access to outdoor space/kitchen/common area, responsive hosts, and a great location--people with higher maintenance needs like, fancy toiletries, etc. should go for a hotel that provides those services. This was our 1st airbnb experience and a positive one. You should also stop by the hat shop in the Quarter to see Lindsay, and buy an awesome hat! Dave & Betha

Please see calendar for daily rates! Some days are lower than others!
Built in the 1860's, "Little Orange" is half of a "shotgun"; thus, it boasts the hallmarks of traditional New Orleans architecture: 13 foot ceilings, cypress mantels, pocket doors, tall shuttered windows, and hardwood floors. The shutters are a vibrant orange to remind you of this city's Caribbean spirit. Bienvenue aux tropiques! The apartment is fully furnished and appointed, the space comprised of a living-room (with queen pull-out couch), equipped kitchen, one bedroom, and small bath. There's wifi, a large flat screen TV, burglar alarm, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer. And a great book collection too. The apartment is best suited for two people; however, it can sleep four when using the pull-out couch. As of Sept. 2016, there's a brand new Queen mattress in the bedroom: it's a Comfort Dreams Select-A Memory Foam (medium-firm) and very comfortable! Please know that when the couch is extended in the living-room, that common space radically shrinks. There's a $25 fee per adult guest #3 and #4. There is no additional fee for children. The front porch overlooks a full block of green space (Annunciation Square Park), home to many soccer and kickball games. There's a basketball court in the park as well (and so a basketball sits in the bedroom closet for you too). I spend more time on the porch than I do in the living-room. The porch also overlooks my small--but robust!--butterfly garden where a small fountain burbles. It's a great place to drink coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, and I hope the night-blooming jasmine is working its perfume when you're here! The apartment is an easy stroll to lower Magazine Street, known for its many boutiques, antique shops, bars, and eateries, as well as to the Warehouse District/CBD and French Quarter. Please check out my map/guidebook! I've mainly tagged places to which you can easily stroll, but I'm happy to offer suggestions for outings in farther flung areas of town. The house is not far from the Convention Center, Mardi Gras World/Productions, The Chicory (wedding venue) and Second Line Stages. If you are in town for a conference/event or working on a film, my location can't be beat. Likewise, if you're in town for a game, a cheap cab ride gets you to the Super dome quickly. This neighborhood has been dubbed one of New Orleans' hottest for obvious reasons. There really is a ton to see and do (and eat) right here. For those interested in getting out to explore other parts of the city/state, it's worth knowing that my location offers convenient access to I-10. No need to traverse all of uptown or the Quarter to find the interstate. The on-ramp is three blocks away, which means the West Bank is five minutes away, the airport, 20 without traffic. If you don't have a car, the bus runs along both Magazine and Tchoupitoulas. I bought this property for its convenience of location. Although the apartment is an easy distance to many hot spots, the neighborhood itself is quiet--another reason I bought this property. Your sleep will not be disturbed by traffic or street cheer. The Mississippi rolls by just two blocks away, so the hood has a sultry "edge of town" feel. I love this about it. Neither uptown nor downtown, it floats in between, spooned by the river(URL HIDDEN) Regretfully, pets are not allowed. The permit number for this listing is 18STR-11965.
Lower Magazine Street is made for wandering. Just two blocks away, it offers an endless stream of boutiques, cafes, bars, coffee shops, and restaurants of all price ranges. Many guests choose to devote one full day to exploring Magazine. In terms of immediate surroundings, my neighbor is restoring a gorgeous, but run-down, New Orleans Greek-revival mansion. He is doing the work himself (!) with the help of family and friends (it is an impressive undertaking), so his construction work is intermittent. Often there are sizable breaks between bursts. For the most part, it is quite quiet, but construction work does flare up from time to time. As 99% of previous reviews attest, noise is not a regular feature of Little Orange life, yet all potential guests should indeed be aware of the potential for construction noise. Whenever my neighbor communicates his work schedule, I will pass this info along to potential as well as confirmed future guests.

    MARÍA2017-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful apartment but it also had some issues that were not expected! As a home owner I understand quirks but it would be helpful if Jessica were to give guests a heads up about quirks. A slow draining bathroom sink, an inability for successive showers due to hot water running out, etc. It is a great location and it is fun to sit out on the porch to watch activity in the park. Walkable to many places in the city.

    Kristen2018-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Little Orange exceeded my expectations. Check-in was a breeze and I found a very clean spacious home. The location was ideal for my purposes as I wanted to be in the Garden District near Magazine but was only a 5-10 minute Uber, Lyft or cab ride from Arts district, French Quarter and Warehouse district. Jess was excellent with communication and I knew she was just a call or text away if I needed anything. The home was stocked with essentials like coffee/creamer, shampoo, body wash, hair dryer, etc. The closet and wardrobe were spacious and there was plenty of room for my clothes, luggage, etc. After 5 days Little Orange started to feel like home! I would highly recommend staying here during a visit to New Orleans.

  • Thanks for a wonderful stay!

  • Jessica was responsive and helpful for our stay! The place was real convenient for us to get around.

    Jamal2018-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome stay in Jessica's place! Very clean, great location--right around the corner from restaurants on Magazine Street and not far from the CBD. We felt right at home and had everything we could need. Jessica was a great host and left us a book of some awesome places to try. I will most definitely stay here next time I visit NOLA!

    Bea2013-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say? Great place, great location, great communication. My new go-to when I'm in town. Awesome stay.

    Jason2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Little Orange is a great little house and Jessica ws very informative about the location. She allowed us to check in early, everything was very seamless. I would recommend the house for a couple or a small family. Uber was plentiful in and around the city and house is close to Magazine Street with lots of shops and food.

  • Wow!! This place was amazing. Small things like free parking, friendly neighbors, and a beautiful interior made this place a home away from home. Already have plans to stay here again.

  • Thank you so much. We had a wonderful time, great location, the place was spectacular & we loved the privacy of having our own apartment space. We do a lot of traveling, b&b’ s & Air b&b’s, this place gets five stars!

  • The place was beautiful and comfortable. It is very close to everything, yet off the beaten path. I love that it's located in historic Treme. However, I was there for web based work and the wifi was not working (but is listed as an amenity). Despite that, I would recommend and I would stay again.

  • Great place to stay in New Orleans. Close to everything.

    Shannon2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place truly is a hidden gem! Comfortable, cool and stylish. Truedell was super and tended to our needs graciously! Effortless check in! Just outside the hustle and bustle so quiet for sleeping and hanging out but close walk to sooo much! What a find!

    Eve2018-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our host was wonderful & made sure our requests were met. This is a gorgeous home in a great location. The only downside was the neighbors were noisy (but it is NOLA). We have stayed in several Airbnb and this is by far my favorite. I would definitely recommend this home. We will stay here again.

    Sonia2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's place was located in the historic Treme neighborhood just outside of the French Quarters. Perfect walking distance to everything. Neighbors were always outside having a drink and always extremely friendly. The house was well appointed and had great NOLA touches. Truedell was our main contact person and she was fabulous. The only issue we had was that one of the neighbors loved ripping cigarettes and weed and one night there was a strong smell of it in the master bedroom. Other than that, we would 100% repeat and come back to stay.

    Patrick2018-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was located in the Treme neighborhood, just a quick 10 minute walk to the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. If you are not up for all the chaos of bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street offer lots of great restaurants and bars that are much more low key; but still lots of fun. As others mentioned, the neighbors were delightful and checked in with us daily. We enjoyed the stories they shared. The apartment was well done and our contact Truedell gave us lots of good information about the area, with tips on restaurants and bars to visit. This was a great spot for a girls getaway weekend.....

  • Mark's house was the perfect place to spend a few days with my husband in New Orleans to celebrate my birthday. The location is within walking distance of the Quarter and the trolley line is just a couple of blocks away if you want to head downtown. Check in and out was a breeze and Mark and Truedell were very easy to deal with. We enjoyed visiting the neighborhood restaurants as much as we did checking out those more well known. Other reviewers mentioned noise from the street but we thought it was very minor. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mark's place for a weekend in New Orleans.

  • This place was in walking distance of everything , less than two miles from Frenchman street , one half mile from French quarter , less than two miles to the river front. Street parking in front of house, newly built, very clean. One half block west of rampart street and public transport. Great location.

  • This location is a great place to stay. It is within walking distance of everywhere and is well maintained. We had a comfortable visit and definitely felt at home with help from the friendly neighbors. Mark provided us with an easy check in, reliable communication and recommendations for places to visit. The apartment is small, but it will fit your needs if you just need a pleasant place to crash after spending time around town.

  • Marks place is gorgeous. Cannot be faulted. Spotless, elegant, superbly equipped. The location is even better than the French Quarter. (which is still only 5 minutes walk away). We spent 3 nights. Breakfast every day at Li'l Dizzy's (5 mins walk; brilliant advice from Truedell - thank you Truedell, you know we owe you, big time). Sylvester Francis's tiny museum (30 seconds walk away) is an amazing gem. Al Jackson's one room Jazz museum with added Satchmo (2 minutes walk) is equally great thanks to the precious knowledge of Al himself. One last mention: thank you to Aaron Blanks for being big-hearted Aaron. Vive NOLA. I wish I could give 6 stars to the whole lot.

  • The reviews say it's not noisy but everyday we were woken up early by people talking outside, street work, people honking since like 5am also at night you hear people super late and the second floor was noisy. If noise is an issue for you this is not the place to stay. Also check out is not flexible. Apart from that the place is beautiful and unique.

Carin's lovely space was a perfect respite for our stay in New Orleans. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including great recommendations from Carin! Although our flight was delayed by several hours, Carin was so accommodating and took the time to personally greet us upon arrival. Her warmth and hospitality immediately contributed to our overall sense of welcome during our stay in New Orleans. We couldn't recommend a stay at Carin's more highly.
