  • What an amazing trip to NOLA made even better by this lovely place to stay. We had some flight delays due to weather and April and ken were quick to respond when I notified them and assured me with their simply directions of how to enter their property that timing of our arrival wouldn't be a problem. We didn't run into them during our stay but we felt so safe and comfortable in their cottage. There was a great list of places to go and things to do along with a bottle of wine(we don't drink wine) which was a sweet gesture. The house was spotless with fresh clean towels and soft clean linens on the bed upon our arrival. It does feel much larger than the pictures show, the upstairs balcony door was great for an afternoon breeze and the washer and dryer were a huge plus. There wasn't however a walking distance grocery store and unlike the photos shown there wasn't any simply breakfast or coffee items when we arrived, but over all we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider them for future trips. We will be visiting again, and almost didn't leave haha ;)

  • We loved our stay at Ken and April's place. Clean, modern, and a quick jaunt to the french quarter. Communication was easy and there were no hiccups. We would stay again!

  • April and Ken were great! The location is perfect---a nice walk to anywhere in the French Quarter, without having to be in the middle of the madness! Place is gorgeous, and was perfect for four of us. Great kitchen in case you want to make a snack or meal or two at home. Left a bottle of wine and some nice snacks for our arrival as well. Will stay again when we come back.

  • April and Ken are awesome host! Their place was perfect. We cruised on our bikes all over the French quarter. We were very cozy and felt right at home. We will be back soon! Nola is the best place on earth❤️

    Allison2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • April and Ken's place was absolutely wonderful - I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay in New Orleans! The Treme neighbourhood is so special and only a short walk from Frenchman's Street - an added bonus for folks who want to take in a night stroll after a fantastic night of local music!

    Caitlin2016-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a pretty good bargain, and it's not too far from the heart of the action. The neighborhood may be a bit intimidating to someone who hasn't lived in an urban environment before, and even having done so I wasn't comfortable walking after dark. However, it was easy to walk downtown during the day and Uber back at night for less than $10 from anywhere downtown. The property is definitely "in process", and the outdoor space is not very inviting. However, the price reflects some of those inconveniences. Just have realistic expectations and you'll have a great time!

    Luke2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome time.

  • The guesthouse is beautiful. Pics Dont do justice. Location was convenient for everything new orleans. Got to meet April. She was a gracious hostess. Would highly recommend this location and hosts.

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • This home was a delight. It was a short walk from the French Quarter and was easily accessible to everything we needed. Very modern and well appointed with a feel of luxury. Great host - thanks for having us.

  • Beautiful place, great location, wonderful tips from host. Needed a few more amenities to feel with the price Only weird thing was host drove by to "check" on us and walked into the place unannounced when we still had a few hours until checkout.

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire. Additional bedroom is available for groups traveling together or families traveling with children. Please discuss your group's needs with the host. New Orleans license number is 17STR-06526.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house just off the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iron, music player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. A second bedroom is available for groups, so the space can be made to accommodate 1-4 people. We welcome special requests and will make every effort to assist with needed recommendations. We can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your childen. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • This was the by far the most fulfilling airbnb experience I have ever had. I felt like a local taking the streetcar to the mid-city neighborhood and entering this private suite from outside. And, as an airbnb host myself, I was inspired by the thoughtful arrangements that made this a 5-star stay. (Yes, I gave 5 stars for every category in the ratings!) I took lots of notes for ideas I wanted to implement in my own home for airbnb guests. It is also extremely clean and polished. Only the Ritz can compete with this place!

    Michael2013-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place was adorable and my mother and I enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you :)

  • Everything, from beginning to end, was wonderful during our stay at Erin's house. The room was exactly as described, and better. Her bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The outdoor patio was great to have our morning coffee on, and to just relax from the excitement of French Quarter Fest. Loved the privacy and shelter afforded by the soaring, elegant former side porch. But I didn't became a total raving fan until after she demonstrated how much she cared for the safety of her guests. It had been raining non-stop for days, and I noticed that the brick pathway was pretty slippery. I mentioned this to her in a text, and not five minutes later she was out there spreading sand over the sidewalk so we wouldn't slip and fall. Her recommendations about restaurants were spot-on and we weren't disappointed. The neighborhood was beautiful, safe and quiet. Her house was a short walk to the trolley and nearby restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to come back again, if she would have us. Thank you, Erin, for helping us to have a wonderful vacation in our favorite city in the world, New Orleans.

  • Our stay was wonderful. It was our first visit to New Orleans, and we loved staying in Mid-City. The neighborhood had so much to offer (Erin's guidebook helped a ton!), and it was easy to walk or take the streetcar to anywhere else we wanted to go: French Quarter, Marigny, Garden District, City Park, and the Fairgrounds for Jazz Fest! The room was beautiful, comfortable, and private. Erin made checking in and out a piece of cake, and had tons of information in the room to answer any questions we might have. Plenty of towels, toiletries, even drinks and snacks. We would love to stay at Erin's place again if we get the chance.

  • My girlfriend and I shared a wonderful 3 day weekend in the Big Easy. We attended the Jazz and Heritage festival all three days and found this location perfect. Took the 48 bus directly to the fest, rode the trolley (1/2 mile walk) and walked back after "The Boss" ended the festivities on Saturday. A mere 1.5 mile saunter - stopping for amazing Creole fare and cervesas on the way. Teristas alike, we trollied down Canal Street to the Quarter where we snapped pix and snapped up refrigerator magnets. Said Nyet to Beignets yet mused at Vodkita Ripened Russians queuing Cafe Du Meh. I could use my remaining 392 words left going on and on about our little adventure, but you want to here about the room, n'est pas? From the man's perspective: Awsome! Fridge, Fan, Cool thermostat, parking (found that backing in is easier), comfy bed, tall warm shower with endless hot water, bar around the corner. From my lovely girlfriend's perspective: Awesome Sauce! She is mi Princesa from Mexico City, a true chilanga. She was very impressed. "Mirar, mirar, Wero!" (basically - "look, look my white boy") She kept pointing out lovely details from the drapes to the door nobs to the beer in the fridge - - this is where I consciously stopped paying attention to her ensalzamiento. Erin was very helpful, she even offered to launder some of our Fest Wear. We declined. The Jasmine she planted made the short walk to the private room on the west end of the fabulous shotgun ever more pleasant. Surely I am missing some details that Mi Chidolita will remind me of later. The 550 mile drive back yesterday was made mucho mucho easier due to our relaxed and recharged beings. Thanks in great part to the carefree accommodations, the scrumptious cuisine and Músico de fábula. Four Thumbs Up!

  • Erin's place was immaculate. A lovely shotgun (i.e. long and narrow) home right in the heart of Mid City. Upon arrival I was greeted by Erin who showed me where I would be staying for the next week. It's a private room that is attached to the rest of the house in the back. It has a separate entrance and door, so you get your own key, which gives you all the privacy you need. The bathroom is roomy, with a nice shower and plenty of hot water. There's even face wash, shampoo, conditioner and body wash to use. Erin really put a lot of thought into decorating and supplying the room, with little snacks and drinks, a couple of bathrobes, a personal coffee maker and a booklet with helpful tips on local places to eat and drink. It was a good hybrid of coziness and hotel amenities. Because it is an attached room to the rest of the house, you do hear everything between the two rooms. This didn't bother me but it might be bothersome if you're looking for total peace and quiet. To give you some context for the location, Mid City is about a 10 minute car ride from the French Quarter where everything is happening, including the conference I was in town for. You can get there easily enough by taking the street care, which is only a couple of blocks from Erin's place and is $1.25 for a one-way trip (exact change, so I recommend keeping some quarters and dollar bills for just this). As Erin instructs, I wouldn't walk from the French Quarter back home, but cabs are easy enough to find. Catching a cab from her house, or along Canal Street where the streetcar runs was hit or miss, so expect to either call a cab or leave plenty of time to catch the streetcar into the Quarter, which come every 15 or 20 minutes. The local bars and pubs around Erin's place are very "local" and cool, although, some (e.g. my parents) would consider them a little dodgy. I went to one my first night and had a great night drinking and eating on the patio out front. I was told by the bartender that that's the real New Orleans, not the Bourbon Street affair everybody goes to. I'd agree. Overall, a lovely place and a great trip. Thanks Erin!

  • This was our second time staying in Erin and her family's lovely home within two weeks. The room was just what we needed after driving for 14 hrs and the private entrance is great! Please see my last review for all the great details of this perfect location. Will stay here again in the future.

    Elizabeth2014-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's place is a sweet little oasis in New Orleans. We did not meet Erin but found her responsive and kind by phone. It was nice to stay in a real New Orleans neighborhood away from the touristy hustle bustle, we felt safe and super comfortable in our room. We would love to stay here again. The bed was wonderful, the room temperature perfect, the style soothing and the value couldn't be beat.

  • Matthew was terrific throughout the whole communication process. Our flight got in late and my husband couldn't find the engines and Matthew was willing to get up late at night help us get into the room. Everything you needed to cook with or for regular necessities was provided in the room that was very helpful. The house is in a nice neighborhood and I feel quite safe there with my family. We will probably be using Matthews pace again in the future as it was enjoyable to stay there.

  • Brad answered all questions and sent over help right away when there was an issue with one of the sinks. The condo comes very well equipped with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, towels, robes and slippers, even provided face wipes and hand soap...was surprised to find dish soap and a sponge! We were able to fix breakfast with ease, the kitchen is adequately equipped. Very close to everything with a short walk or uber was very convenient. There were 6 adults and it was plenty of room. The condo is absolutely beautiful and I would definitely stay there again. To note...the listing did not speak about parking. There is no free parking but there are several convenient options very close; it just would have been nice to know prior to arrival.

  • Went to New Orleans for a girls' weekend...needed a place for 5 adults. This rental is in a lovely historic building (original hardwood floors!) with a picturesque patio and upstairs deck. Great location walkable to both Bourbon and Frenchmen streets, but on a quieter street (could still occasionally hear revelers walking home, but was mostly quiet). The hospitality group made us feel welcome and pampered, with bathrobes and slippers provided, and even left a bottle of champagne (which we very much enjoyed! Thank you!). Air conditioning worked perfectly (very important in July!!). Would definitely choose this rental again if traveling with a group. Note: would not be suitable for children; the spiral staircase is a nice design touch but could be difficult to navigate with kids.

The Mazant is a plantation-style home dating back to the early 1880s, located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1-1/2 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We are close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and Satsuma Cafe. It's perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, company off-sites, and other large groups.
UPDATE SUMMER 2018: This summer we are making some additional updates to the house, including adding one additional queen bed (upstairs), remodeling three bathrooms, adding a new half bathroom downstairs, and doubling the size of the kitchen. New floor plans are already available online and photos will be updated by the end of September. ----- We have been working to renovate the house over the past several years, seeking to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 125-year old oak tree. At the same time, we updated the layout to more comfortably accommodate large groups: * 18-person dining room table * Oversized living room with 70-inch television, surround sound system, and Baldwin upright piano * Private yard (1/3 acre) with fire pit, six-burner propane BBQ, outdoor table, and hammocks * Super-fast WiFi (the top tier that Cox offers) * Front porch (gallery) with historic gas lamps and outdoor seating * Off-street parking for two cars and ample street parking for overflow The house has eight bedrooms with layout as follows: Downstairs - Bedroom 1: one queen bed (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 2: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) Upstairs - Bedroom 3: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower/tub combo) - Bedroom 4: one double bed - Bedroom 5: one twin bunkbed - Bedroom 6: one king bed - Bedroom 7: two queen beds (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 8: one king bed There is another shared bathroom upstairs (near the laundry room) with a clawfoot tub-shower combination. Unfortunately, the caretaker's cottage is no longer available for rent.
Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • Gorgeous place inside and out; super clean, super big, but also nicely detailed. Really lovely stay and Jeff was very helpful. All the beds are really comfortable. I'd love to stay here again!

  • Great neighborhood.

  • Jeff's place is fantastic! My friends and I flew in town for my wedding and stayed at the Mazant. The location is great (specifically it's proximity to The Joint (a fantastic local BBQ spot)), Jeff's communication and flexibility was amazing (he provided local tips on places to go well before our arrival) and was flexible with check-in since my rehearsal was at the same time, and the house was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend staying at The Mazant.

  • The Bywater plantation was an exceptional place to celebrate my 60th birthday. It is a beautiful spacious plantation home with many wonderful places for 16 friends and family to be together and also niches to be alone. Jeff and Kevin’s hospitality was outstanding. We are all still smiling!!

  • Amazing house! I planned a bachelorette for 16 girls and the house WOWed them :). It was in a cool area with greats local joints, the decor was gorgeous, space was huge and clean. We will come back again. Thanks!

  • I'm a frequent traveler and Airbnb guest, and I have to say that Jeff's Bywater House is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. The house itself is magnificent. It's well-appointed, clean, has great amenities, and wonderful air conditioning. I love the Bywater neighborhood. It's not touristy, but it's safe and up-and-coming. It has tons of local flavor, and there's an endless amount of stuff to do, eat, or drink within a ten minute walk. It's about a ten minute Uber to the French Quarter or most places you'd want to go in the city. We took our team of 9 to this house for a company retreat. Everyone was thrilled and comfortable. It couldn't have worked out better. The outdoor areas are delightful, too. I'll be coming back!

    Noelle2017-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay! It is close to many interesting spots of New Orleans! The bikes were great to explore and you don't need the guide! The apartment is not soundproof but the person living there is quite discreet! It has all the amenities needed! Andrew went out of his way to accommodate us!

    Naomi2014-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Was a close walk to the Jazz Fest and an easy walk to explore down in the city. It's noted that this room shares an entrance, so do know that it's not 100% private. I'd recommend walking a few blocks to Pagoda Cafe for breakfast.

    Kathleen2015-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved how unique the experience was staying in a home verses a hotel. We took advantage of the bikes and used them everyday we stayed there. Will do something like this again in the future!:)

    Amber 2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew was kind and flexible. He kept my suitcase after the check-out. His guide book is very helpful. I had wonderful days in New Orleans because of it.

    Kaori2015-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay as usual! This is my second time staying in this house. It's a tad far from French Quarter, but with bikes the distance is no problem. They let us drop off our bags early the day we arrived which was a huge help! Thanks again for your hospitality!

  • Brent was a very responsive host. Apartment is fairly close to the French Quarter and public transportation is easily acceptable.

    Carrie2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Little bit of a walk to Bourbon street & French Quarter but totally doable. Had everything we needed & plenty of extra towels, bed linens, etc. Would recommend staying here if you don't mind walking.

    Kasia2018-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very happy with our experience! Brent was super helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

    Ashley2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Place was perfect for city folk like me. Stylish (and comfortable) digs with high rise views. Location was ideal. It was a 15 min walk (3 min cab) to the French quarter party, but just far enough away to get some R & R. The place even had a washer and dryer in-unit!! Loved it, staying there again next time I’m back.

    Donny2018-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Me and a few friends rode down to New Orleans from Mobile, Al. We loved our AirB&B. Staff was very nice, and helpful. Brent allowed us to drop off our bags early, and cleaning lady took us upstairs to show us around. The room was very clean and accommodating. We used the 2 futon sofas for extra beds. Thankful for the extra towels that came in handy as well. This AirB&B took us a minute to find, but in a great and safe location. Easy access to canal street and Bourbon. I am thankful we felt so safe!! Definitely would recommend staying here. Thanks again!

    Sydnee2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • exactly what was offered! quick 5 minute walk to bourbon street!

    Michael2018-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is in a good part of town close to canal. We walked pretty much everywhere we went while we stayed here. I’m fairly sure that no one actually lives at this address though, so if that influences where you stay, that may be a consideration. The building requires a key fob for entry and use of the elevators so it felt very secure. Everything we needed was available, but the bed was pretty uncomfortable. And sounded like a plastic kids mattress. But I would definitely stay there again! Brent was very helpful and easy to work with!

    Jessica2018-09-28T00:00:00Z

  • The stay in New Orleans was an unbelievable experience. Staying in the Bywater district was an extra bonus. The vibrant colors and quirky houses added to my overall experience. Plus the dining options was superb. I don't think there is anywhere else better to stay. The bikes that were provided were an absolute must! It made touring the neighborhood so easy. While some may think that the area is sketchy, that's just New Orleans! It has its own flair. If you are looking for a place to lay your head (that's really all we had time to do) then this is the place for you. Uber rides from the business district and the French quarter were minimal. I would highly recommend the spot and look forward to staying here when I return to NOLA!

  • i had a great stay at the Marie Antoinette room. The room was nicely decorated, clean and cool from the air con. On my bed was a really helpful guide about New Orleans and useful information about the property. Quirky and original property, nice homely atmosphere would recommend.

  • We arrived in New Orleans very early morning and had made the Hosts aware who had responded pretty much straight away to say that we were now going to be arriving later than anticipated and advised us that they had put the keys in a box- which were easy to find. The house itself was in close proximity to the French Quarter (walking distance or 5 minute über ride). The house is pretty and spacious and on arrival on a muggy early morning the house was set at a cool a/c temperature (thank you both). The only thing I would suggest is that there are two N Roman St in New Orleans about 2 miles apart. if possible to add the street name its next too in the description, it will help the SatNav from a mini breakdown when not finding the house.

    James2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming little cottage close to everything someone visiting New Orleans would want to see.

    Matthew2018-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jo and Tyler's place is a great location for any one wanting to come and visit the wonderful city of New Orleans. However the street is a bit noisy, but it's completely safe and the people are very welcoming. The actual place is quite nice but wasn't clean, lots of dust and mouldy old ham in fridge. No kettle or toaster either so be prepared to eat out. All in all the place is very close to French quarter which is great and we had such an amazing time but feel the home needs a bit of TLC.

    Lauren2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • The house looks exact like picture. So cute!

    Qian2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jo & Tyler’s place is beautiful and perfectly located. It’s very light and spacious! The neighborhood first felt a little scary and sketchy, but soon enough we realized how safe and friendly it was! We had nice evening walks around the block. However if you want a good night of sleep...the walls are paper thin. And if you’re lucky like us you’ll hear your neighbors in the early morning having a nice deep long conversation ;) (.....yeah pretty awkward)

    Peter2017-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The area was walkable and authentic but the real gem was this beautiful apartment! Clean, quiet with lots of character, I'd definitely stay again.

  • Great place for the budget traveller without compromising expectations. House was perfectly clean and beds were soft and comfortable. Plenty of white fluffy towels in the spacious bathroom. Kitchen is amazing and includes laundry wash/dryer. Ben had left some essentials in the fridge for us which was convenient after a long day travelling. Esplanade with public transport is a stones throw but French quarter is an easy 15 min walk. We felt very much at home and were sad to leave when the time came.

Why rent a room when you can rent a tiny house for your trip to New Orleans. This 650 sq ft home is just steps away from the French Quarter. Everything from Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, streetcar, bikeshare, and the Central Business District are all just a short stroll away. Private entrance through luscious garden. Perfect for a couple or a couple of friends. Cleaning free is included in nightly rate so there are no extra hidden fees with this listing. (City License: 18STR-15360)
Our guesthouse is located in the rear of our property. Estimated to have been built in 1837 (the same date as the main house), this space has gone through a total transformation. A mix of modern and old New Orleans bundled into a small house. There are 8 sets of French doors, and 4 sets of casement windows, allowing for the space to be drenched in natural light. When the weather is nice and a cool breeze is blowing, there is nothing better than opening all the doors and windows so you can take in all the sounds the neighborhood has to offer. Downstairs is an open living room and kitchen area with a complete 4 piece kitchen suite (full sized fridge stocked with bottled water and a Keurig with coffee), and a moveable island. There is also a flat screen TV with DVR, HBO (so you don't have to worry about missing Game of Thrones), Netflix and Amazon Prime. Netflix and Prime are already logged in for you to use. A spiral staircase leads you upstairs where there is a king sized bed, walk-in closet, a spacious bathroom, and 12 foot ceilings with exposed beams. Want to lounge outside? Hang out in the shared courtyard or if you prefer privacy there is a private patio behind the guesthouse. Parties over 2 persons will not be considered and will be turned away upon arrival. Parking is street parking which is unrestricted and free to all. Cleaning fee is included in the nightly rate so there is no extra hidden fees when staying with us. (City License: 18STR-15360)
The Treme is a wonderful and unique neighborhood unlike any other in the United States. St. Augustine Church is on the corner, which leads to many Jazz Funerals and Second Lines. The church also has an amazing Sunday Mass that is open to the public. As a younger nephew noted, "It's not really Sunday Mass, it's a concert!" Mardi Gras Indians regularly wander the neighborhood, as well as brass bands, musicians, and a pair of cowboys who are always walking their llamas, Shetland ponies, and goats. There is always something going on and the people in the neighborhood are friendly and talkative. You can learn just as much about New Orleans from the folks on the street in the Treme as you could with a tour guide charging you an arm and a leg to walk around the Quarter.
  • Brad and Bret were amazing hosts! They were so warm and welcoming to our family and offered a bit of history about the property upon our arrival. It was clear that they truly love what they do! The home was full of New Orleans charm and beautifully decorated. It is tucked away in a quiet area outside the Quarter but only a short walk to all the action! If you're looking for a peaceful place to lay your head but within walking distance to the excitement of the Quarter, this is the spot! We loved our stay and can't wait to go back!

    Kimberly2017-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely experience staying in Brett and Brad's guest house. I wasn't quite sure when I would arrive since I was coming in on Amtrak and they weren't running on schedule but Brett was really flexible and made sure he was available to help me with check-in. The guest house is really beautiful, very clean, and has a great NOLA vibe. It's also so close to the French Quarter we walked everywhere and only Ubered a few times. The bed was really comfortable and there were nice touches around the house like sunscreen, coffee, bottled water, and current magazines about New Orleans which we used extensively for restaurant recommendations. Had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

  • Everything, I mean everything was perfect. Brad was in constant contact before our arrival and we were greeted by his smiling face! Perfect location and close to everything we wanted and needed. Bottled water in the fridge, extensive city guidebook for New Orleans on the site, perfect oasis away from home. The apartment was sparkling clean, comfortable, cozy, and private. Can't say enough about our visit to NOLA, and our experience staying at this lovely place.

    Tony2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Bret's place is amazing! Location was probably the best as it was only a couple blocks from the French Quarter. Bret was super responsive and was happy to give us the rich history of the home and tell us more about where to go/what to do. Bret provided everything we would need and more, thank you again!

    Ashley2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • You can’t go wrong booking this place. Great location, great host, beautiful private place.

    Paul2018-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Brad takes great pride in the service he offers. He not only offers comfort in a privet setting, but also familiar face with a kind heart. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of and provided as an amenity. Pack your bags and book your trip because it's totally it! Thanks Brad & Bret!

    Chaunte2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed for a long weekend at Bret and Brad's place. They could not have been nicer or more welcoming. The guest house was very comfortable and had everything you could possibly need and more. Their backyard is a beautiful garden oasis and we felt very comfortable walking around the neighborhood. The French quarter is a very short walk as is Frenchman Street. We also took uber's in the evening when we were going to the Garden District and it was very reasonable. All and all we had a great time and would without a doubt stay with them the next time we are in New Orleans.

    Shari2017-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house that's walking distance to everything you would want to do in Nola!

  • We loved our stay here! Brandon and Truedell were quick to respond and share suggestions for where to go and what to do. This was a beautiful, clean, and comfortable home with quick access to anywhere in town. We could walk to nearby coffee shops and food marts during the day, then take a quick Uber or Lyft to the French quarter, magazine st, garden district - anywhere and everywhere - in the afternoon/evening. We will be back!

    Sadie2018-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place! It's a small apartment in an old beautiful renovated house. High ceilings, historic details and nice decoration. And everything is very clean. The hosts are very kind and welcoming.

    Susan2015-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Both Brandon and Truedell were very responsive. Appreciate Truedells welcoming us and her hospitality. The apartment is beautiful and matches the pics. Clean, quiet, and perfect for two.

    Mekashia2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • The apt was great, even better than the pics. The host was amazing. Brandon wasn't there but Angie met us and gave us the tour. They left champagne, homemade muffulettas, and cake in the fridge for us!

    Rebecca2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon's place is conveniently located to the Quarter. The bed was comfortable and the space is tastefully decorated. It had all the amenities we needed for our short stay. Would highly recommend his place.

    Angela2018-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • They were excellent hosts - gave us history of the house, lots of suggestions on what to do/where to eat, and were very friendly. We really enjoyed having so much space (compared to a cramped hotel room) and it was a very homey experience. Secure entrance to the house and your room. Thanks for being the icing on our trip!

    Kayla2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Trudell and her daughter were more than helpful when checking in. The apt is amazing and located in the French Quarter away from all the madness. The apt was clean and just like what is advertised. My guest and I instantly were impressed. Will definitely recommend this to friends and family and will hopefully stay here on our next visit.

  • Great place to stay for one or two people in NOLA. If you're looking to spend a lot of time downtown or in the French Quarter, definitely helps to have a car or be willing to Uber everywhere; it's about 15-20 minutes outside. The studio was clean and extra amenities (kitchen, parking) were nice.

    Lauren2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you want an authentic and safe New Orleans experience, look no further than this AirBnB. It’s cute, well decorated, cosy, comfortable bed, wifi, clean and well-appointed bathroom, perfect little kitchen, and a beautiful, private porch area to sit outside. Keyless entry makes access very easy. Shops and restaurants on Oak Street and nearby are very walkable. Magazine Street and French Quarter are just an Uber or streetcar away (or even long walk). This studio apartment is a great value for the price. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends and family. Thanks!

    Alfred2017-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place in a convenient location to local places for food, drinks and streetcar.

  • This rental had easy access to the French Quarter and the Garden District. Neighborhood was extremely walkable. Had a great time

    Rodolfo2018-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our time in N'awlins and Septembers place definitely added to our experience. The apartments location is excellent; oak street, full of quirky stores, cafes, bars (check out the maple leaf on a Sunday for a Crawfish feast and live music for $10), far away enough from the hustle & bustle of the French quarter but close enough at the same time ($1.25 trolley gets you there in 20 mins and is a greasy to see a bit more of the city). The apartment itself is small but the space is used very well; nice comfy bed, good shower, wifi, kitchenette, storage for luggage, CLEAN and importantly AC. September was an excellent host and has a booklet on the apartment and the area for guests. Thanks September!

    Sam2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so comfy! The location was also amazing. Oak Street is a very neat place away from all the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter. We rode the St. Charles Streetcar (about a 10 min walk to the stop) everyday to get to French Quarter, Garden District, and other main attractions in New Orleans. It took about 40 minutes the whole way, but it was well worth the ride! September’s place is in such a hip and quiet neighborhood. Great food and atmosphere. It was very comfortable for two and was very clean! We would definitely stay here again!

    Victoria2018-04-05T00:00:00Z

This lovely and historic cottage is located just steps from the French Quarter. Enjoy comfort and privacy in a classic New Orleans cottage. There are two bedrooms, and one bath. The cottage is cable and wifi equipped.
This is a true New Orleans cottage, charming and comfortable.
We are on a gorgeous street, very close to the French Quarter.
  • Katharine was very communicative with us about our stay. She was very easy to work with. We found the place no problem and even though we were arriving late, she had someone waiting for us. The cottage is very cute and the neighborhood feels very authentic New Orleans. Unfortunately we had to cut our time there short because work called. Boo! A couple of things to be aware of - the front door opens right into the living room from the street. From a safety perspective this made me a little nervous because while this neighborhood is really nice, it is close to some rougher areas. The neighborhood is full of cute coffee houses and history.

    Maria2015-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very nice, and Katherine was extremely welcoming. The beds and the pillows were really comfortable, we had plenty of towels and extra linens, and the house was clean and inviting. We had a fantastic trip, we can't wait to come back. We will for sure be staying there again in the future!

  • This cottage was great value for money. Cute 2-bedroom cottage - beds were comfortable and had all the basic amenities. Located within a short uber ride to the French Quarter and Garden district - it was a convenient and pleasant stay. Kathy was a lovely host - very communicative and pleasant to deal with.

    Georgina2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Similar to most guests who have stayed at Katharine ' s lovely cottage, we had a comfortable and great experience. I would stay here again in a heartbeat- it's close by great restaurants (Lola's was superb) and is in a very charming, centralized area. We had our 11 month old son with us and the space accommodated a small child well. Thanks to our hostess for a great stay.

    Lauren2016-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay: convenient, easy to find and within walking distance of local supermarkets and restaurants. We had a car so did not use public transport but there was a bustop just round the corner. The neighbourhood was quiet and our host had left croisants, juice, tea and coffee etc for our arrival. We had two small children with us and the decor and layout was great for them with a safe enclosed garden and plenty of floor space. Would thoroughly recommend.

    Sue2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome house in a cool neighborhood. Katharine was a very attentive host. Had an issue with the cable box and she was there in 5 minutes. Would definitely stay again when in New Orleans.

    Christopher2016-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent host!! So nice and helpful, thank you Katharine. She recommended a swamp tour that we really enjoyed. Exactly the same as the pictures, clean and beautiful house. As Katharine says, not too close not too far from the French Quarter.

    Ako2016-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely recommend this rental! It's perfect for those wanting easy access to the French Quarter (quick and inexpensive Uber ride away) without the noise and worry. The local neighborhood has anything and everything you'd need - a grocery store, restaurants, shops, pretty views and strolls, and the lovely City Park nearby. The accommodations were fantastic. Beds were comfortable, great lighting options, terrific cooling capabilities (even upstairs!), plentiful hot water, and a well-equipped kitchen. The house was extremely clean and bug free. The hostess Katharine is warm and welcoming and is willing to ensure her guests have a wonderful New Orleans experience. I recommend a visit to Kitchen Witch Cookbooks across the main road.

  • The location of the condo is perfect - just a five minute walk from the bars on Frenchman Street and 10/15 mins from the centre of the French Quarter. We had a great time staying here and Marcus was very accommodating and friendly.

  • The place was great! Just a few minutes walk from Bourbon street and really convenient for all the things we wanted to see. Great amenities, flexible and easy check in and out. Highly recommend.

    Jenna2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Marcus was easy to communicate before, during, and after my visit. The house is a cool space and had everything I needed for my visit. The walls are a little thin but were not a problem for me. I would definitely stay here again.

    Caitlin2015-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Condo was newly renovated and clean when we arrived. Marcus was friendly and nearby for any concerns although there were none. It was our first time to NOLA we should note to those not familiar with the city, the area is on a border of a changing neighborhood, and knowing exactly where you're going or calling an uber is the smartest thing to do.

    Richard2016-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Walking distance to the French Quarter. Marcus was also very helpful and responsive.

    Kristina2016-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay. Loved the price. The apartment has some tasteful modern updates. It's not quite finished but I believe he's in the middle of a slight remodel. More than adequate, we honestly loved the place. Very comfortable. Everything you needed to cook with was there with a few ingredients in the fridge. The claw foot bathtub is fantastic. Not a long walk at all to Bourbon st.

    Anthony2016-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place was da bomb! My husband and I stayed here w our 15 year old daughter--it was better than we hoped and introduced us to the cool happenings in the Marigny that are SO much better than anything on Bourbon st. A short walk to everything we wanted in the quarter for shopping and sightseeing. Marcus is a thoughtful host. The place was NOLA urban chic and clean. Loved it!!!

This free standing casita, tucked away in a tropical garden, includes a small refrigerator with refreshments, jazz records, New Orleans literature, and a clawfoot tub. Off of Esplanade Avenue, it is halfway between the French Quarter and City Park.
The casita is located in the backyard of a side-gallery shotgun cottage. I have been renting it through Airbnb for two years but recently changed to my on profile. The main house was built as part of a series of shotguns developed by two brother from Cienfuegos, Cuba in the early 1860s. The casita is its own building, built in a modern design in 2010. You can come and go as you please through our lush side garden. Inside, there is a very comfortable queen sized bed and bathroom with a clawfoot tub. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer and there is a small refrigerator and kettle. We include some local snacks as part of your stay. We also have a record player with music from New Orleans and books from the region and my own nonprofit publishing organization, the Neighborhood Story Project, for you to enjoy while you are here.
This old Creole neighborhood, in the heart of downtown New Orleans, is in between the French Quarter and City Park. Just a block and a half off Esplanade Avenue, a beautiful boulevard canopied in live oak trees, it is also very close to Bayou Road, the first road in New Orleans! From the house, you can walk to this street, where there is a wonderful collection of shops, including the Pagoda Cafe with the best coffee in town and wonderful breakfast and lunch (located in an old Chinese laundry building), the King and Queen's Emporium (which sells handmade soaps in one of the city's first public market buildings), the CocoHut (New Orleans/Jamaican food), and Domino Sounds Record Shop, which has been featured in national publications as one of the best record stores in the country.
  • Definitely recommended Great location and easy to get around

    David2018-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel did an amazing job making us feel welcome the day we arrived. The Casita is within a mile of The French Quarters main strip, blocks away from Bourbon St., and Blocks away from Frenchmwn St. all within a walkable distance through a picturesque neighborhood. We could not have been more happy with our stay.

    Michael2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great property and space. Easy communication, easy check-in, and an all around great experience. Thanks Rachel!

    Cody2017-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel was so amazingly thoughtful and helpful! Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to New Orleans and would happily stay again on our next visit.

    Breana2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel's Casita is great, basic but spacious with everything you need for a good rest between busy days in New Orleans. The bed was comfy, the A/C worked, there was a beautiful tub and a shower (which can be tricky getting into if you have mobility/balance issues), the place was clean and Rachel even provided some water, sodas and snacks!!! There ia a mini fridge and a hairdryer, a record player, records and books, 2 umbrellas (came in very handy!) and 2 towels for us to use. The place itself is in Rachel's backyard, but it's super quiet and we heard no noise from the neighbours or roads. We didn't walk to the French quarter (manily because it was hot and I'm lazy and there is a sketchy looking underpass close by that put me off at night), but it's only a $5 uber ride. My only issue with the location was it got difficult to find places to eat close by, but easily fixed by eating before we returned at night and getting breakfast where we wanted to start our day. Rachel was extremely helpful the entire time from the time of booking to the day we left, answering my many emails promptly and even coming to my rescue after an early morning plea. There was a personal guide to New Orleans Rachel had left in the room and she gave us a great recommenation of a jazz concert she was involved with. We met Rachel on arrival and she left us to it after that. We did see her out and about though and she came over to say hi and ask us how things were going. Overall we had a great time, I would highly recommend Rachel and her casita.

    Laura2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quiet location. It's at least a 1/2 mile walk to anything including coffee. A good budget alternative if you're happy with the location.

    Nick2017-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The entrance and pathway to Rachel’s casita is adorable. Everything was clean, quaint, a bit quirky and just wonderful. The record player and the books are a nice touch, especially when the weather isn’t the greatest and time in the casita is more than you had planned. I enjoyed the tips for things to do. Wonderful stay. Even though tropical storm Gordon made our 5 day stay a bit rainy at times, we loved staying at Rachel’s casita in NOLA!

    Kimberlee2018-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect escape in New Orleans! We loved the Casita and the surrounding neighborhood! Rachel provided us with the perfect guide for exploring New Orleans and all her suggestions were top notch!

  • Our stay in the NOLA Studio was perfect for my first visit to New Orleans. The location was ideal -- within walking distance to the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. The Studio itself was adorable -- tidy and nicely decorated, with a well-stocked kitchenette (Abita beer in the fridge!). Belinda was an EXCELLENT hostess, going above and beyond to make sure she was personally there upon our arrival and check-out. She also emailed me beforehand to find out if I'd prefer dairy or non-dairy milk in the fridge, and sat us down with a map of New Orleans upon arrival to point out local hangouts and must-sees. It was a joy to stay at her studio.

    Christina2012-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Belinda (and Nola & Shiro - can't forget the sweet dogs) were absolutely amazing. The studio is quaint, cozy, clean, (Website hidden by Airbnb) was the perfect retreat after exploring all day and to sleep peacefully after a night of taking in the city's stellar music scene & cuisine. There's a relaxing backyard garden to hang out in and if you request she will provide bikes for use during your stay (very close to the Quarter). Belinda seriously goes above and beyond to ensure that you're stay there/visit in NOLA will be the best!! She stocks the studio with snacks/coffee/brekkie eats, is more than happy to chat with you about cool areas to go (info you can't (Hidden by Airbnb) or hit up lonely planet for), and is also a rippin' upright bass player...we had the fortune of catching two of her gigs while there. Seriously, look no further for a place to stay while in NOLA. We'll be back ASAP...we personally wanted to move in there =)

    Doug2011-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time that Kim and I have stayed at Belinda's - though this time in a smaller unit - and she is always the best airbnb host you could ever find. Her decorative skills make her places beautiful and she always makes sure to take good care of her guests and be available if you need her. Highly recommended!

  • Brian and Dawn were the most welcoming and helpful hosts one could ask for. Our first night we had lost a bag in a cab and Brian helped us out with phone charges so that we could track it down the following day and Dawn was full of advice and recommendations. We found the space perfect for our five night stay and appreciated the quiet after spending all of our days walking through the busy streets. We found the area very interesting and safe, walking to everything we needed (including the smoothie king centre) with ease. We were sad to leave and hope to return one day.

One of a kind house overlooking Bourbon St. and Orleans Ave. across from the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. This overlooks Bourbon Street in the exact center of the French Quarter.
This is an upstairs unit with a corner Bourbon Street balcony in the middle of one of the most iconic locations in the city.
This is a unique place and you will be living in the very center of the French Quarter. I love our neighborhood because of its uniqueness, diversity, and liveliness. It is so rich with history and recognizable around the world as " New Orleans". Whether it's 3 o'clock in afternoon or 3 o'clock in the morning, there is always something going on in the French Quarter.
  • Very clean place right on bourbon street lots of fun. Great host who was helpful with returning something that was left behind after I checked out.

  • It was great for our 3 hour meeting and was even better for our guys night out to celebrate the project completion. The eateries were close, the bars were close, the balcony made us New Orleans celebrities and the ease of not needing to drive really nowhere was great. This was the best location to stay out of many and surpass any hotels that we thought to stay. 500000 STARS. WE WILL BE STAYING HERE EVERY TIME THAT ITS FREE TO WHEN WE VISIT. #Winnnnnnnnnnning

    Tara2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The unit is in a great location close to all the action. When we were tired of walking around we spent time on the balcony relaxing and people watching. Loved the unit and Andres was a great host.

  • We traveled to New Orleans for a convention, instead of choosing to stay at the hotel we chose an Air B and B for a more authentic experience. Andres place turned out to be exactly what we were looking for, the location was amazing! Right on Bourbon street close to all the bar, restaurants, shops and our convention site! The apartment is clean, the kitchen has all the essentials, beds and super comfy and the balcony is amazing! He was very accommodating and communication was easy and prompt. While we were there the coffee maker stopped working and Andres came over that day and replaced it, that was such a joy for a group of girls who live on caffeine haha. Would totally stay here again, highly recommended!

  • A great place to stay when visiting New Orleans. Bywater is a great neighborhood that allows you to experience "living" in NO. Robert is an incredible host and the amenities, courtesy and service are far beyond what any hotel can offer. Wonderful restaurants all within walking distance. Easy to get to the Quarter. The 5 bus is a great option to get across town and the stop is only 1-2 blocks from house. Highly Recommend.

    Sarah2013-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Rob and Ernie were incredibly gracious and generous hosts. The apartment is filled with charm and history, and the neighborhood is perfectly off the beaten path of the French Quarter. Look forward to staying there again next time I'm in NOLA. Thanks again gentlemen! m

    Matthew2013-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 3rd time staying here as guests and hopefully not our last. Without a doubt the best place to stay in New Orleans and bay far the most accommodating host!

    Ryan2015-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great. Leslie was great. He made us feel right at home, as he would say, "You're family". The area was an undiscovered treasure, especially the local restaurants, with their wonderful food. The history of the house, as told by Leslie, was fascinating, but Leslie himself was the high point. Drinking tequila at 1 AM was an exceptional experience. This was not a "swanky hotel", in the center of the French Quarter. This was a much more unique experience. and only a short cab ride to Bourbon Street. I am highly recommending this to friends and anyone who would like a fascinating, unique, and very personable New Orleans experience.

    Kenneth2015-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • I LOVE this house every bit as much as its owner .. Robert is a wonderful host and instantly a dear friend . I have stayed at Maison rouge 4weeks in the last ten months.. And will continue to do so quarterly . If you see this listing available I urge you to book it quickly .. Lest I snatch it right out from under you :) I miss you too Rob an I promise to be back before the first magnolia blooms . Love you oodles Jenny

    Jennifer2013-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 1st experience with an Air B&B, we could not be more pleased. The house was just as advertised. Leslie was excellent giving us recommendations on close by restaurants and sites to see. We were in town for our son's wedding and traveling with a 2 year old so most likely spent more time in the house than the average visitor to NOLA. It was great to have the fridge stocked with plenty of water, the fruit and snacks sure were appreciated. We all had a great experience. Thank-you

    Sherry2016-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in the Bywater, and Robert and Ernie were impeccable hosts. We came down for the Final Four, but wanted to stay someplace away from the CBD/French Qtr mayhem. The shotgun-style apartment is spacious and clean, and is on a quiet residential street. There were many thoughtful extras, such as cold bottles of water, snacks, wine, etc etc. Don't miss the outsize jacuzzi tub! The apartment can certainly accommodate two couples, but since it's shotgun I would recommend traveling with folks you know well (since the bathroom is only accessible by walking through the second bedroom). There are quite a few new restaurants/bars in the neighborhood, which we encourage anyone to check out (Maurepas has particularly inventive cocktails). It's a pretty easy walk to the Marigny/French Quarter, but we generally opted for cabs once the sun went down. We never felt unsafe, but always best to be cautious in NOLA. All in all, a fabulous weekend at a steal of a price. Highly recommended.

  • Fernando was really communicative before hand, and accessible before and during my trip. His home was so nice to stay in. It was remarkably clean, and had lots of space for guests if you have a large group. But there also were just two of us there, and we found it to be comfortable. The location was AMAZING in walking distance to a handful of cafes and bars and such, but also a pretty calm neighborhood. Smack in the middle of a lot of attractive neighborhoods. Look as long as you want on this site, you will not find a nicer and more reasonably priced place to stay. I will definitely be returning!

    Aubrey2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay and loved how centrally located Fernando's place is. Fernando was extremely nice and accommodating. We will stay here again if ever in New Orleans.

    Grant2016-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fernando's place was perfect! I stayed there with my mom for a couple nights while in NO for the first time. I slept up in the cool little loft area which was quite cozy. The modern, stylish upgrades to the space were all really nicely done and enjoyable. The front porch was great to have to sit and drink coffee in the morning. It was easy to get to other areas of the city to do some exploring. I did not actually meet Fernando, but he was very friendly and easy to communicate with, and flexible with a couple requests regarding check-in and check out times. I would definitely recommend his place and I would stay here again.

Semi-private room* in a cute and cozy shotgun house in the Marigny. 15 minute walk to the French Quarter, 12 minutes to Frenchmen St., 2 minutes to the Bywater. Located around the corner from a few restaurants, bars, a coffee shop, and grocery store. *Note, this room is yours and yours alone, but people have to walk through it to get to their room.
The house is a classic shotgun, a very common style of architecture for homes here in New Orleans. Our bedroom is the first room in the house, and we rent the next three rooms to guests (see our profile for links to the other rooms). Each room is arranged one behind the other. You will be walking through two bedrooms to get to your room, and while you'll have your room to yourself, people will have to walk past your room to access the kitchen, other bedrooms, backyard, and bathroom. Both doorways have doors which you can close for more privacy. Please look through our photos to see the "blueprints" of our house, this will give you an idea to how it's laid out. Your room is the third room in the house. It comes furnished with a built in bed, curtain for privacy, XL twin mattress, reading lamp, a chair, vanity with a large mirror, clean sheets, fresh blankets, four pillows, a towel, and a white noise machine to cancel out house noises. The room accommodates one comfortably.
Our location is probably our greatest feature. Our house is centrally located in the Marigny. Frenchmen St. jazz and music clubs are only six blocks away, the French Quarter is a ten minute, nine-block walk away in one direction, and the Bywater (neighborhood) is just over the train tracks, two blocks in the other direction. We are one block from Mardi Gras Zone, a 24 hour organic grocery store (now with an alcohol license!), and three blocks from Hank's, a 24 hour convenience store (where you can stock up on alcohol and fried chicken). Flora's Coffee shop is two blocks away. There are eight bars (ranging from fancy cocktail bars to dive bars) within a three block radius.
  • I had a great stay with Katie and Matt, they were helpful with local hotspots and kept me informed on festivals and events that I could go to during my stay. They have updated the bunk since the photos to give you more privacy which was an unexpected surprise when I got there, it was nice. I felt very comfortable here and would stay again

    Benjamin2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Katie is very welcoming, she helped me so much as i did not know the area. Was sad leaving, but would definitely come back to this host any day. Close to the french quarter, and yet still in a quiet area. Loved it!

    Stefan And Jennifer2013-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Katie & Matthijs' place for four nights. First of all I have to say that New Orleans is a really beautiful city! It takes you less then 15 minutes to walk to the center of French Quarter from the house so it's absolutely easy to get to famous Bourbon Street with all the amazing bars and restaurants. Frenchmen Street is also in walking distance, it's just six blocks away. Katie and Matthijs are friendly and easy-going people. Feel free to ask them any questions about the New Orleans area. They'll always be happy to help you. Unfortunately I arrived at a time when it got pretty cold so we had to use electric heaters for the first two days in the house. The bathroom is located right next to your room so there might be some people walking through your room even at night. If you accept that, it's fine. For me that wasn't a problem at all. There's also a kitchen, a washing machine and a dryer that you can use. The bed is great. In fact I think it's actually bigger than on the picture. WiFi connection was good as well. Thank you Katie and Matthijs, I really enjoyed my time. Gerne wieder!

    Lukas2015-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Katie and Matt and me went out to Markey's the last night there and they came to hear me play with the Loose Marbles one night too. The location is close to Frenchmen St. clubs (about 5 blocks).. This part of the Marigny is quiet at night.

    Robert2015-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating considering I had missed my flight connection. Their place is in a great location, and it's a genuine New Orleans living experience, with the house and backyard and through way rooms. Their two dogs are also super friendly! Thanks for a great stay, and I'll definitely stay again next time I'm in town and would 100% recommend staying at their place.

    Charlotte2016-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a supernice time at Katie & Matthijs's place. Although Katie and Matthijs weren't there, I was nicely welcomed by their friend Mikey. I really enjoyed the hostel feel this room had. There is a very open and friendly atmosphere. In this room, the shared bathroom is located, but this is no issue at all. The nicely designed bed with curtains gives you all the privacy you need. The location is also very nice if you would like to go of the beaten path and explore more areas in New Orleans than the french quarter (the quarter is still very close though). Would definetely stay here again next time. Looking forward to my next stay in New Orleans.

    Nigel2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very helpful place to crash for a night and last minute booking. They have remodeled the room and the bed is now in a cozy nook. Actually a lot more private that I was expecting it to be. Katie was very communicative and helpful.

    Ryan2015-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Marigny is such a great neighborhood, it was awesome to get to stay there among locals. Satsuma's is nearby for fresh juice once you've had your fill of po' boys and sazeracs. Even though Katie wasn't home while I stayed at her place, she was very responsive and helpful in coordinating.

  • Ben was an awesome host. Always replied to my emails/messages right away. I never actually met him during my stay, but he did check up on us to make sure we arrived to the house the first night. The place is fairly spacious and clean. There's a kitchen stocked with kitchenware for your use. If I ever visit New Orleans again I would definitely consider staying here again.

  • All went well on my birthday trip to NOLA. There was construction on the street that made it difficult to find parking but we managed. We were able to safely walk through the neighborhood to the trolley. There is plenty of space in the house. I would stay again.

    Kelly2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ben was very easy to communicate with, and made our experience pleasant. His place was just as described, and the perfect fit for a quick couple of days in the city.

    Beau2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at Ben's place. Great location, central to everything we wanted to do. And Ben had everything very well organized, to the point of being seamless. This really helped because we had a very hectic schedule on arrival day. Highly recommend Ben's place next time you'receive in the Big Easy.

    Paul2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Ben was very welcoming to our large group (6 people)! We were in for a wedding and this place was the perfect location to bounce around between the French Quarter and Metairie. The aesthetic of the place is great and having the kitchen and coffee was a great help through the weekend. All in all, I'd recommend this in a heartbeat.

    Jonathan2015-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house was perfect and Ben was a great host! This place is huge for the price, the neighborhood is the real deal NOLA and everything we needed for our stay was provided. I highly recommend staying at Ben's place. My best experience on AirB&B to date.

    Dan2016-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience staying with Ben from the moment I booked his place! After a previous host unexpectedly cancelled my stay, I chose the only other place that could accommodate my entire group. Ben’s place was it — and it far surpassed my expectations. I wish we had booked it first. If I ever travel with friends, I’m definitely staying here again. The back and front patios are beautiful. We ate breakfast out there a couple times. The indoor is super cute as well. The futons are more comfortable to sleep on than my bed at home. And there was plenty of clean blankets for all of us. Actually, the entire place is very clean. The neighbors are exceptionally friendly and nice as well! Our car got stuck in the sand (totally our fault) but once the neighbors realized it, they went above and beyond to get our car out —\0 and they did! I really can’t praise this place enough. Ben is a kind, responsible, and respectful host. It’s a great neighborhood. Our experience with Ben, his home, and his neighbors actually made half our group seriously want to relocate to New Orleans. Thank you, Ben!!!

    Jessica2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here with a group for a tradeshow at the convention center. Quiet neighborhood, and everything worked out great. Far from any noise in the french quarter, but still only a 10-15 minute uber ride on morning weekdays to convention center, which is close to any other things you might want to find downtown NOLA. Whole foods is a 15-20 minute walk away. Great communication and flexibility. Would stay again for sure.

Our newly renovated apartment is right in the middle of town, within walking distance of Magazine St. and just on the edge of the Garden District. Plus, it's just 3 blocks from the streetcar and St. Charles Ave.
Please be our guest in the newly renovated apartment situated at the back of our really old (1850s), charmingly-dilapidated house. It’s just a couple blocks from the parade route/street car/St. Charles, and only about a mile from the Superdome. They don’t call it Central City for nothing! Walk past the main house, down a winding brick pathway, and up the stairs to the private entrance. You enter into the kitchen, with concrete countertops, old wood floors, and plenty of sunlight pouring through the original wood windows with old bubbly glass. Fix yourself a drink and head up the spiral stairs to the bedroom. Just around the iron handrail is a full size bed, and plenty of reading material about the places you’ll want to see and the food you’ll want to eat while you’re here. Then venture out the bedroom door onto the balcony. Did I mention you’re on the third floor now? The view is excellent, the palm trees sway in the wind, and you can hear the marching bands as they pass down the parade route. I almost forgot the bathroom. Honestly, it’s not huge. But it’s everything you need, plus a claw foot tub. And cozy towels, and bubble bath, and . . . well, it’s a bathroom. And just in case you’re wondering, it also has a flat-screen tv, cable, internet, a microwave, a coffee maker, all the things you need in a kitchen, and probably some welcoming Abita beers in the fridge.
Central City is the Best! We're right in the middle of everything. . . and I don't mean right in the middle of the French Quarter, I mean in the middle of a less touristy, little bit quieter New Orleans. We're just on the edge of the Garden District, a short walk from Magazine St, and just 3 blocks form the streetcar line. Plus, we're only one block from the super hip, up and coming Oretha Castle Haley Blvd where you'll find the best coffee, the indiest movies, a few restaurants, the new Food and Beverage Museum, and a tatoo parlor in case you're in the market. So come check out my neighborhood, you'll love it like I do!
  • I had a great stay at Jackson's house. We were greeted with beers, snacks and fresh eggs from the chickens out back :) She was friendly and the house was just as cute as the pictures. The location ended up being very convenient as it was only a 5 minute ride to FQ. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks again Jackson!

  • Jackson was a great host, and the apartment was fantastic. I loved the balcony that lead off from the bedroom. The house was only 3 blocks from the street car line on St. Charles. So transportation wasn't a problem. The spiral staircase was mind blowing. Quiet neighborhood just what I needed. Would definitely recommend this place to stay. Hope to get another chance to stay, when in the city.

    Darren2013-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time staying in Jackson's charming apartment. She (and others) have done a beautiful job renovating and improving the property, and we were very comfortable and happy in the space. She even gave us eggs from her chickens (there's no rooster, which is nice).

  • Host was excellent, despite us not running into one another! Picture's simply do not do the place justice. It was perfect in every way. Awesome place, wish I lived here! Jackson left a nice map, treats and left the place perfect for when I arrived. It was in a great location, I was able to walk pretty much walk everywhere I wanted to go and hit the streetcar back at night. Nice deck and the bedroom was great. Loved the staircase and the all the living quarters. Really cool spot I would love to come back. Great experience!

  • Charming and great place and great kind hosts! Very clean and cozy. Jackson left some beers in the fridge and croissants for us! We had a great afternoon chatting on the porch. We will stay there again on our next trip to the awesome city of N'awlins. ........................................

    Cris2013-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is great, in a great location abutting the garden district. Kitchen is lovely and the upstairs bedroom is equipped with a much needed air conditioner. Balcony outside was awesome for lounging in the evenings. The place was very clean. And there's a coffee maker, another necessity for me! If you're looking for a place in NOLA where you can cook some meals and stay in an authentic neighborhood--this will be perfect for you. Jackson was very nice, really didn't see her though throughout our stay however-- which was no big deal for us.

Hola!
  • Great place! So close to public transport it was so easy to get to the quarter. Would definitely stay here again.

  • First of all, Mari was a great communicator! She was kind and accommodating. Her home is beautiful and tastefully decorated. It's is spacious and full of additional blankets and towels. We stayed with our 3 kids aged 4 to 10. We loved the fact that there was no tv or but computers but there is Wi-Fi connection if needed. Seriously a nice tech break. The neighborhood is safe and near the ferry. We drive everywhere... It was about a 15 minute drive into the French Quarter and an 18 minute drive to the Garden District. It is centrally located and quiet. The beds were comfy and we never felt crowded. We cooked breakfast each morning and had plenty of space for food storage in the fridge. The air conditioners work well and were greatly appreciated on the hot humid summer days if our stay. We recommend Mari's place to anyone considering it. It is my favorite place out of my 4 airbnb NO LA stays.

    Diana2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Mari was a very accommodating hostess. It is a bit of a walk to the ferry, but we didn't have to worry about parking. The cottage was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

  • We were really hoping for a cute and comfortable place to rest between sightseeing and were extremely happy with this listing! A beautiful neighborhood and a lovely porch to relax on.

  • House and yard was great. Mari was super nice and helpful. Neighborhood was cute and fun.

    Rebecca2018-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding house and respite from downtown! Beautiful, historic area, was super easy to get downtown using the ferry (cheap too (Website hidden by Airbnb) Would highly recommend Maris place when staying in Nola

  • Although I didn't get to stay at Mari's place because our trip was booked for the weekend of Hurricane Harvey, I valued the great communication I had with her while trying to decide if we should still go. I greatly appreciated her flexibility and patience. Sadly, we stayed in Houston but I was happy that visiting friends still had a place to go. Thanks, Mari!

    Catherine2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious and authentic abode. Mari was very welcoming with her personalized notes and an information sheet on places to visit , eat at etc. Nothing was lacking and we will definitely recommend her place to anyone.

Great, 2 large room suite with king bed, new jacuzzi (someone broke the jacuzzi part) bath and all the amenities you need. There's a mini fridge (for all your great local leftovers), microwave, coffee maker, tea pot, brita water and cable/wifi.
2 large private rooms (parlor and bedroom) and full bath in a great location, with cafe & coffee shops nearby. The bedroom has a king size bed and the parlor room has a twin bed, if you need more sleep areas. I also have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The space has your own private locked entrance and is just off my front porch, which is a great spot to have your morning coffee or tea. Easy off-street parking, too. I have 2 bikes (huffy’s) you can use at your own risk, but you need to let me know before I leave for work so I can get them out for you. You are responsible for damage or theft and I req a $10/bike use fee to cover maintenance, bc it req extra work to tend to bikes. There are neighborhood rentals, but I think they are 30-40/day. Also, if traveling w pet need to approve with me and there is a $20 fee for pets. If you are a solo guest or staying longer than 6 days I will give you a break on price!o
The marigny is the greatest neighborhood and this space is all yours--its your own oasis in the front of my house w own entry. Easy and close (usually just in front of house) street parking. You can walk to the French quarter, frenchmen st., or just enjoy all the marigny has to offer. I have cable, wi-fi, central ac & am willing to consider pets. Note: I have 2 dogs & 2 cats that are very friendly, but they stay in my living space. This is a great place to stay for an authentic new Orleans experience in one of usa's best neighborhoods (look it up, it's true).
  • Great host, responsive and accommodating. Lovely place too!

  • Great place, great location! Kerrie was very helpful and quick to respond. Highly recommended!

  • Nice, quiet place. The accommodations felt very private but our host was available quickly with anything we needed. Would recommend and would stay here again.

    Andrea2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a great host! Kerri was so helpful in finding restaurants, things to do and transportation ideas. Actually, I left my computer bag behind a door but it was in my possession the very next day. The neighborhood is great-close to everything. Perfect apartment for 3 people-roomy, clean and she has provided so many things-tea, coffee, etc. We are such a wonderful time and a lot of it had to do with Kerri's hosting.

    Jeanne-Yvonne2013-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great, really enjoyed our time staying at Kerrie's. The rooms were beautiful and she supplied little extras such as snacks, coffee, & tea. The location is great & within walking distance to all the music & fun on Frenchman St. Kerrie was willing to work with us when our trip got cut short. Wished we could've stayed longer. I would recommend her place to anyone looking to stay in New Orleans.

    Caitlin2015-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kerrie's place was wonderful - her bed was more comfortable than our bed at home! It's a easy 10 minute walk to the French Quarter and just a few to Frenchmen St for live music and the night market. We couldn't have asked for a better location on our first trip to Nola.

    Audrey2013-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying here. Kerrie was a great hostess and very accommodating with our schedule. She responded quickly to email and text communication and even contacted me before we booked so that we were aware of exactly how far we would be from the conference center. We enjoyed the daily walks so much that we never wound up taking the streetcar. I would definitely recommend this place to friends. One more thing, she has a list and map of fun places to go and things to do. It was helpful in planning a fun trip. Thanks, Kerrie

    Jessi2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kerrie is amazing!! She checked in on us upon arrival and was so extremely pleasant and helpful. We had to do a last minute booking due to a previous Airbnb reservation not being at all what we expected. Kerrie welcomed us in to her place and was attentive to our needs. The location is spectacular with several wonderful places to eat & drink right around the corner plus your within walking distance to the bustling French quarters to satisfy your tourist cravings. I can only speak volumes about the cleanliness, comfort and overall welcoming vibe. Kerrie also leaves a list of recommendations, to-do's and New Orleans reading material for you to get familiar with. She even allowed our bulldog to stay with us as she was traveling with us on this trip. We all loved the large king sized bed!! We couldn't have asked for anything more!! Highly recommended!

Our cool and comfortable studio apartment is the perfect little hideaway to retreat to after enjoying this beautiful city. It comfortably fits two and is located in the beautiful Oak lined neighborhood of Carrolton. Just one block from the Carrolton/St.Charles Streetcar line and walking distance to many restaurants/bars.
You have private access to a bottom floor studio apartment. You will have full private access to the whole studio and come and go as you please.
My studio is nestled on the bottom floor of my two story house and I currently occupy the upstairs so I will be available for anything you may need. Located in the beautiful neighborhood of Carrolton, it's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD and French Quarter, but one block from the Carrolton/St Charles Street car line (20 minute ride on the streetcar to downtown or Napoleon Avenue where all the uptown Mardi Gras parades start). Oak street is a 4 block walk from the apartment where there are a lot of local restaurants and bars including the famous Maple Leaf bar and Jacques-Imo's Creole Restaurant. Just a few more blocks down is the famous diner Camellia Grill and the streetcar can take you directly Downtown/French Quarter and the shopping on Magazine street.
  • Very clean and comfortable. Not too far of a drive to the French Quarter. The place was exactly as described. Would stay here again

  • Great place for a relaxing stay that was close to Tulane ,the street car .and little cafés. Interior was spacious enough for 2 people. Plush towels, great shower, comfortable bed, tv, mini kitchen with stove, microwave, keurig coffee, fridge, and small sink. Great neighborhood with coffee shop and many eateries blocks away. Easy to get to streetcar, easy walk to Walgreens. Quiet neighborhood and easy parking. Would definitely go back !here. Claire was easy to work with and very accommodating. Excellent value!

    Wick2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Claire's place was fantastic! It was cute and just the right size for two! It was in a great location and it was clean and perfect with the side entrance. Would definitely stay here again!

  • We we're very happy as soon as we walked into the place. It was clean, cool, and modern. Claire gave great recommendations and left us some fantastic chips! Neighborhood is exceptional. Lots of outstanding food within walking distance and the trolly is literally at the end of the Street. Super easy to get to and from downtown. If I come back to New Orleans I'll definitely be staying here again!

Within walking distance to the St. Roch Market, St. Claude Arts District, Marigny/Bywater nightlife, Frenchmen Street, and the French Quarter! Come party with the locals, and enjoy complimentary Chicory Coffee for your hangover!
Our 2 bedroom apartment is a New Orleans shotgun style, which means all the rooms run front to back in a row. The front room is the living room with a comfortable couch and Smart TV. If you have a Netflix, Amazon, or Hulu account you can enjoy your favorite shows even while you're away from home. Please note there is no regular cable channels available. Separated by two french doors is the Kitchen with a bar-top table and two bar stools. There is also a church pew for more seating. The kitchen is equipped with a Gas stove, Fridge, Microwave, Tea Kettle, and a French Press so that you can enjoy your morning coffee. There are also plates, silverware, pots and pans, and glassware if you feel like staying in and cooking one night. The first bedroom is next to the kitchen with a Queen Bed and very large closet. Through the next door is a small hallway with the bathroom to the right. There is a full tub, and towels are provided along with Shampoo. The Master Bedroom is the last room of the apartment with lots of windows to watch the sunset from the comfy Queen Bed.
We live on a very quiet street. There is one parking spot if needed. Otherwise there is plenty of FREE street parking. As in all neighborhoods of New Orleans, or any city for that matter, be safe and be smart! Don't walk alone at night. Taking a cab or Uber home from the bars at night is always the better idea.
  • Excelente lugar! definitivamente lo recomiendo y me volvería quedar ahí. Ellos fueron muy amables con nosotros y siempre estuvieron dispuestos a darnos recomendaciones de lugares para visitar. Muy buenos anfitriones!!

    Liria2015-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • The house was absolutely perfect and spotless. We felt very welcomed and had everything we needed. We were a not even ten minute drive from the French Quarter and it was so easy to get to. The neighborhood is a typical New Orleans neighborhood because it is still rebuilding but we never felt unsafe. Joshua and his wife were very helpful with suggestions of places to see and where to eat. They were also always available. Overall, we had an amazing experience and will be back soon!

    Grace2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house with great "master bedroom" and an extra 2 person bedroom. Clean and specious with everything you need. Neighbourhood looks rough, but you can definitely walk to the French Quarter from the house during the day. In the evening you can easily take an Uber for les than 7 bucks, and within 5 min. Joshua is great host, and his dad is a nice guy! Would stay here again for sure :-)

    Katelijn2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Josh was the ideal host armed with local tips on where to go (and not go), where to eat cheap and drink like locals do. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

  • Hollis' home was immaculately decorated and clean. The pictures really do not do it justice. He made us feel right at home by allowing us access to the rest of his house, and offered a pick-up service from the airport (which I would recommend, since Uber is not allowed to pick anyone up from there!). He was incredibly chill and welcoming to us and also the other guests who were also staying there. Thank you, Hollis for being such an awesome host. He is truly deserving of his Super Host badge and I would not hesitate to rebook if I were to come back to NOLA. Highly recommended.

  • We had a great time in New Orleans. Hollis is a friendly host who gives good advice.

    Tony2017-12-26T00:00:00Z

  • Great place, in a quiet neighborhood, about 5-10 minute drive from bourbon street and French Quarter. The house was well kept and secure. There were other who were renting out the other room and we had to share the bathroom with other guest but it was perfect for what we needed it for! Highly recommend if you need a place to crash while discovering NOLA!

I love that it's down to earth, welcoming, historic architecture and a lot of space and green for being located in central New Orleans. It's a residential neighborhood, NOT located in the French Quarter! (see map on bottom of the listing!)
We were 5 nights in the house with my husband and our two daughters. The house is as described and as shown in the pictures. Nice, comfortable and clean. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. To go to the Frech Quarter you can go in Uber (between 6 and 10 dollars a trip). Miriam was always very friendly. We recommend the house!

  • Miriam is a great host! The place was quiet, clean, and made for a perfect retreat after exploring the city all day. We would gladly recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind staying a bit off the beaten path.

    Micah2013-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Miriam's listing was almost accurate! You need to know this, though: Excellent central location. Wonderful, spacious, tidy, sunlit home. A home. Privacy. Attention to every detail - comfortable made beds, full compliment of towels, traveler's literature, umbrellas to borrow, coffee, coffeemaker and supplies, television with a selection of DVD's, radio/CD player, porch swing, parking arrangements. And Miriam. In our case we were busy, and she gave us our space. She's surely just as helpful if you ask. "Vielen Dank" Miriam!.

    Thomas2014-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Miriam was the most conscientious of hosts - from the booking, to our arrival, to the set-up at the apartment. The neighborhood is the Seventh Ward which is a fairly residential area that isn't so close to downtown to be touristy, but definitely close enough that it's accessible by bus. All in all, it made for a homey and laid back set up in a city that definitely should be experienced as such...

    Miki2014-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Miriam is a great host trying to help you with anything you might need. The apartment was simple and clean. All we needed was there. The location is not central, but taking the bus to the French Quater or downtown is easy and walking the Esplanade Ave to the City Park really nice.

    Erika2012-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • My sister and I had a great stay at Sunshine Suite. Miriam was such a nice host, even giving us a ride to the French Quarter. The apartment is spacious and clean, very comfortable for 2 but can easily accommodate more. Miriam is a wonderful host and very responsive communicator. She made our stay very easy and I would definitely recommend her apartment.

    Janet2014-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Mariam was very responsive to answering questions via email and also provided her cell phone # in case we had any problems (which we didn't). The neighborhood was relatively quiet and she provided us with off-street parking. We stayed in July when it was very hot and humid, but the air conditioning worked great and kept us comfortable. Overall, it was a good deal.

    Thomas2014-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The host was amazing she was great about keeping in contact. I was only there a night but it was comfortable and warm ( seeing as it was freezing outside). She is very close to the French quarter, I loved the list of places to eat that she left along with a paper showing local events. Overall my husband and I had a wonderful stay and would love to visit again
