  • Ken and April's place was exactly as described and perfect for our stay in New Orleans! We met Ken when we were checking in and he had some ideas for us about places to see while we were in town. The space was very clean and perfectly appointed. Strong AC which was great for us west coasters who don't deal well with humidity :-) It was a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter and an easy Uber back. The washer and dryer in the unit were a life saver as we had been on the road for 2 weeks. We absolutely plan to book with April and Ken again when we come back to New Orleans!

  • This place is convenient, quiet and comfortable. It was great to bike out of each day and come back to quiet. Washer/dryer great for road travelers! Ken met us when we checked in, didn't get to meet April but maybe next time.

  • Great place to visit New Orleans for couples or singles, work or fun. I loved this cottage for many reasons. I slept very well because it is very quiet at night and the mattress is comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and high quality. Wholefoods is 6 minutes away by car. The location is excellent, the street is gorgeous and a stunning park and the French quarter and an awesome gym (NOLA Athletic Club) are 20 minutes by walk away. The hosts are prompt and friendly. They also give excellent suggestions on places to eat. Could not have been better.

    Elena2016-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Good hosts, helpful welcome note and the apartment looks exactly as pictured. Very beautifully decorated, clean & well equipped. It had everything you need including toiletries, tea, chicory coffee (very nice) & condiments. Plus a lovely bottle of wine to greet us. It's a 20 min walk to the French Quarter & Frenchman St & the underpass feels a little dodgy but nobody bothered us regardless of the time of day. We recommend not to bother turning right out of the gate though, it's not as nice that way. We would definitely stay again. Thanks April & Ken

  • We had a wonderful time staying in April and Ken's beautiful listing. It was even better than the pictures made it look, which was already pretty great. The listing is well appointed with everything you need for a home away from home and in a great location, it was quiet and serene while remaining central to most things and with the bikes April and Ken offer it was only a 15 minute cycle to most tourist spots. The listing has its own access so we didn't interact much with the hosts but when we did they were friendly and helpful, as was their great list of places to eat! Go to Elizabeth's for the fried green tomatoes! All in all we had a great stay in NOLA and would definitely recommend April and Ken's listing.

    Francesca2016-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Ken and April's guest house was wonderful! We were welcomed with a lovely note filled with tips for the city (super helpful!) and a bottle of wine! The house was bright and clean, exactly what the pictures looked like. This was our first air bnb experience and we are hooked!

    Amber (& Brad)2014-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our time at April and Kens was fantastic. Their newly renovated guest house was really great with more than everything we needed. A short walk to all of the best areas and streets New Orleans has to offer. Their suggestions were all fantastic too and we enjoyed going to the less touristy areas they suggested. April was very easy to communicate with the entire time. We loved New Orleans and we would love to come back and stay in April and Kens guest house again.

    Brodie 2015-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • April and Ken were very welcoming and the place itself is very clean and close to the French Qtr.

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house on the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iPod player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. We welcome special requests and will do anything we can to accommodate you. The room is ideal for one to two people, but we can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your child. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • You really couldn't ask for more in an airbnb. Adorable and pristine space separate from the rest of the house, thoughtful amenities, and a laid-back host. We'll be back!

    Alissa2015-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was a fabulous host, very personable. The shotgun house was very clean. Simple elegance is the best way to describe our room. She had some nice touches (chocolate, snacks, beverages, great bath products). Being our first time with airbnb, we thought the area was pleasant, easy access to streetcar (2 blocks) which makes it easy to the French Quarter. Staying at Erin's definitely gives you a good feel of being part of the culture of New Orleans.

    Kevin2013-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Check out the neighborhood places to eat.

    Fred2017-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful accommodation with all the necessary amenities plus lots of little extras that would never be provided in a hotel room. Very easy to get into the centre - 20 mins on the streetcar. Guest book provided great local and city centre recommendations for bars and restaurants. Stay here if you are looking to live like a local in a gorgeous home typical to New Orleans.

    Claire2015-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's place is great! The room is beautiful and has its own entrance at the back of the house. In addition you have your own bathroom, which is lovely. The house is just a couple blocks from the streetcar that will take you to all the great tourist attractions. It is also a very short walk from there to the bus that runs to the airport. If you decide to drive there is a spot in the driveway for guests! Erin has created a cheat sheet to great attractions and restaurants nearby. One addition I would add is Blue Dot Donut, it is just a short walk or streetcar ride and well worth the trip!! I highly recommend staying with Erin, especially if you are looking for privacy and some distance from the tourist traps, but easy access. Finally, Erin's neighborhood is beautiful and feels very safe! Enjoy your stay!

    Annie2014-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying in Erin and her family's lovely home within two weeks. The room was just what we needed after driving for 14 hrs and the private entrance is great! Please see my last review for all the great details of this perfect location. Will stay here again in the future.

    Elizabeth 2014-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Erin and Greg were welcoming and accommodating. They helped with tips and recommendations, going above and beyond by helping store our luggage on our last day. The location is ideal for those that prefer a neighborhood feel away from the touristy areas.

    Martha2015-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Upon arrival we were greeted by her partner who showed us to our room. It was very nice and looked exactly like the photos. Shortly thereafter we noticed there wasn't an iron. A quick text later and there was an iron and ironing board at our door. The neighborhood seemed safe and was convenient to bourbon st and the superdome (we were in town for a concert). Erin provided a nice book with local restaurants and places to visit which came in handy for brunch (the ruby slipper has amazing catfish and grits). I was hesitant about airbnb, but this was a great first experience and if would definitely do it again.

Located on the residential side of Bourbon St. you will enjoy the quietness at night and sleep like a baby and few steps all the action of Bourbon and the Marigny area. This mansion was built in the 1830s n was recently converted into Luxury condos.
The living room has one queen sofa bed for two people, located in front of the charming courtyard, large balcony on the second floor, master bedroom with private bathroom, second bedroom with a set of bunk beds and daybed to sleep four people, kitchen, dining room, additional bathroom on the first floor, TV.
  • The space was great! Dee Dee provides you with lots of extra amenities which make it extra welcoming. Great location. We chose this space because of having bunk beds. We have twin five year olds. Lots of codes to get in and out but good for safety. Street parking is only 2 hrs and you'll get a $75 ticket otherwise. We weren't told this and fortunately ran in to a parking patrol cop when leaving to walk around before getting a ticket. Not sure what other options are but may want to check if driving a vehicle. Lots of clean linens and space is as photos describe. Spiral staircase is charming but very narrow so if you have lots of luggage be prepared and older folks probably would have issues. Master is upstairs. Great place for a stay overall and would return.

    Jason And DeMarco2016-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely spot was the perfect location for easily enjoying the French Quarter while being somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle. We especially appreciated the patio each evening and liked having an upstairs to retreat when others in the group wanted to paint the town. We did not use the kitchen, but it appeared to be equipped with the basics. This delightful residence is the ideal local for savoring all The Big Easy has to offer.

    Tana2016-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great listing in the heart of the French Quarter. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to stay right the area but also a little tucked away from the noise. Everything was nice and as depicted.

  • This is a great location in NOLA. The apartment is a bit older than it appears in the pictures but overall a good spot which makes it worth it! The location is quiet and holds a lot of people. Overall good stay!

  • We had my sister's bachelorette trip here. We brought am extra air mattress just in case and never pulled it out of the car. It is so much cuter then the photos.

  • The location was perfect! Right on Bourbon Street, but far enough away that you didn't hear any noise.

    Anny2018-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great! It was right on Bourbon street, just inside the residential district -- so close enough to all the fun but in a safe, tucked away place. It was beautiful, as described. Our host was very attentive on the phone and through the app. We had the pleasure of meeting her the second day, and she is so sweet!

The Mazant is a plantation-style home dating back to the early 1880s, located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1-1/2 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We are close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and Satsuma Cafe. It's perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, company off-sites, and other large groups.
The house was recently renovated to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 125-year old oak tree. At the same time, we updated the layout to more comfortably accommodate large groups: * 18-person dining room table * Oversized living room with 70-inch television, surround sound system, and Baldwin upright piano * Private yard (1/3 acre) with fire pit, six-burner propane BBQ, outdoor table, and hammocks * Super-fast WiFi (the top tier that Cox offers) * Front porch (gallery) with historic gas lamps and outdoor seating * Off-street parking for two cars and ample street parking for overflow The house has eight bedrooms with layout as follows: Downstairs - Bedroom 1: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 2: one king bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) Upstairs - Bedroom 3: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower/tub combo) - Bedroom 4: one double bed - Bedroom 5: one twin bunkbed - Bedroom 6: one king bed - Bedroom 7: one king bed - Bedroom 8: one queen bed There are two additional shared bathrooms upstairs: one with a clawfoot tub (with shower) and another tub/shower combo. For larger groups, we also have a separate 350-sq ft guest cottage that has a queen bed, full kitchen, and full bathroom (with clawfoot tub/shower). It is available upon request for an additional fee ($150 per night).
Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • Wow! This is truly an amazing home to host a large party. My family truly enjoyed the beautifully manicured lawn! The porches and balcony were so charming to just sit back and have a cool beverage on an afternoon in New Orleans with a breeze off the Mighty Mississippi! The mansion is magnificent! The large dining hall offered plenty of room for my family to sit down to eat laugh and reminisce! Likewise the living room provided a place gather and catch up. All of the bedrooms had plenty of sleeping room and the beds were really comfortable! The home is so impressive with its architectural detail and is wonderfully decorated to showcase in any designer magazine. Love the neighborhood! The ice cream truck came by in the afternoons for my children to have a summertime treat! It's easy to get to the French Quarter by uber or peel away for a stroll! Jeff thought of every detail to make the stay enjoyable! We have such great memories as we hosted my wife's birthday weekend! Highly recommend this home over and over again! Thank you so much Jeff! Again, Wow!

  • We checked in to the Bywater Plantation House in October 2017. Reservations and check in process was hassle free. Once we got settled, we were able to walk to a few restaurants and clubs. The place is very safe. You will be thankful for the large private yard. At night we sat around the fire pit surrounded by a large outdoor sofa. You are literally situated just east of the French Quarter which is a quick Uber ride to the French Market. I would recommend this resort for families and people who want a peaceful, laid back vacation. Lots of privacy.

  • This is a stunner of a house in a beautiful, artsy neighborhood. It’s a short ride to the Quarter but quiet and residential, with lots of good food nearby. The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped for groups. The owner and property manager are kind and responsive. Can’t recommend enough.

  • This is the place for you.... This year I was celebrating my 30th birthday with friends and family from across the country and we needed a home base to go out, explore the city and come back to relax. This house provided all that and more. Jeff was always quick to responds about questions we had an accommodated our big group. The house easily housed 16 guests and had plenty of room for us to relax and not feel on top of each other. The house is incredible with a lot of light, open spaces, beautiful yard space and close to a number of good eating spots. By the end of the trip all of our friends were asking if we could comeback every year and stay in this house. Couldn't have been happier with our stay.

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • Mark was a very gracious host and dealing with him was extremely easy! His place is immaculately clean and exactly as pictured. The distance to the main attraction made us choose his place, but his place is beyond what we had expected!

  • We loved staying at NOLAS! We had an unfortunate issue with the airlines on our way into New Orleans, and Whitney's husband Tom was very accomodating when we let him know we needed to arrive late. Overall the place was well kept and had everything we needed to be comfortable during our short stay in the wonderful city of New Orleans! I would recommend Whitney and Tom's rooms to anyone looking to fully enjoy what New Orleans has to offer and I can't wait to return myself!

  • Nola's Studio was our home away from home whilst visiting New Orleans. From Carol the cabbie picking us up from the airport, to the local advice and personalised hospitality that Belinda offered during our stay - we couldn't recommend this place highly enough. The studio was exactly like the pictures and immaculately clean. It had all the basics you would expect and then some! Belinda went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed for a great stay and wasn't far away should we need anything (at all!). We would definitelty stay there again or in one of the other studios that Belinda hosts (these were actually bigger and had even more facilities).

  • I appreciated the quick communication and ease of booking. Although we didn't meet Whitney since she was out of town, Chelsea was available and welcoming during our check-in. The place was super adorable and comfortable. It was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway for two best friends from HS to catch up and celebrate a 30th birthday. There was always parking right out front since we rented a vehicle to drive along the Gulf Coast and participate in swamp and plantation tours outside the city. It was also very walkable to all the main attractions in the city. We had a BLAST!! Thanks so much! :)

  • Well taken care, lot of nice details. Accurate description; great neighborhood, out of the edge of the French Quarter but accessible and there is a fantastic amazing restaurant a few blocks, lot of historical houses nearby, you will be in NOLA territory rather than the sterile hotels downtown. Photos do justice to the room, comfortable. Bathroom is great. Good communication and helpful host.

    Gonzalo2014-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very easy check in process. Exactly as described in listing, clean, and quiet. Bathroom is large with a few amenities in case you forgot something. We had a wonderful stay.

    Christina2014-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted at the airport by Carol, Belinda's recommendation, who in herself is a must see in New Orleans, and immediately felt welcome by Belinda. There was a cold beer in the fridge and some cajun potatoe chips to enjoy, and Belinda gave some ideas of where to dine and we were on our way....... a lovely place to stay

Come stay with us in a real New Orleans neighborhood and live like a local! The house is a "shotgun double" which is located in the safe, historic and artsy neighborhood only 1.5 miles from the French Quarter known as "Bywater." We are mere steps from the new Crescent Park River Walk that stretches from Mazant street to the edge of the French Quarter. A real scenic delight!
Be our guests in our charming mid-century home! You get a fully furnished side of our double shotgun house. There is also a huge plant covered front porch with a porch swing and bistro table to people watch. Inside is 800 square foot with two bedrooms with queen beds, comforters, pillows, and linens. This is a shotgun house, for those that aren't familiar, one room leads to another as you go to the rear of the house, with the rear bedroom being totally private. The house comes completely furnished with kitchenware, coffee-maker, coffee and tea, microwave, towels, shampoo/conditioner/bath soap, wi-fi, a record player with a light assortment of records, 2 alarm clocks with I-pod/mp3 docks, and a fold-out full sized futon.
In the neighborhood, we're next to Da Joint bbq, and 1-3 blocks from local bars; J&J's Sports Lounge, Vaughans, and BJ's. There is live music, art galleries, more bars, coffee shops and restaurants, all with a local feel within the bywater/marigny area leading to the French Quarter. We have a welcome basket located on the coffee table with fact sheets, maps, menus and other useful info to help you out through your stay. Press the guest book link at the top of our listing homepage for a map and descriptions of some of our local bars, shops and eateries.
  • So this was my first airbnb stay and it worked out well. The description of the place and the neighborhood is very accurate. I think the photos make the place look a little "lighter" and "airier" than in real life, but it is a cute, nice little home. I do wish there was some more information on the bus system as we couldn't find anything about the #5 bus. Never even saw it running. We did take the bus on St. Claude, though, which wasn't bad. The walk to the French Quarter is all of 30 minutes, if not 35. So, if you are used to walking, it is manageable, but if you're there for a while, I would recommend using the bikes. (Lots of people in the neighborhood are on bikes, and it is a flat area, so it would be a nice, easy ride, I would think. We didn't rent the bikes . . .) The biggest drawback was the train that went by (or stopped, so it seemed) in the middle of the night. It blew its horn for what seemed like at least 30 minutes and was pretty impossible to sleep through. We went to The Joint and really enjoyed the BBQ. Overall a nice stay and a very interesting neighborhood with lots of cats!

  • This place is beautiful, spacious, and home-y! Carmen is hospitable and has good recommendations for amenities in the area.

    Teresa2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and we felt safe. The house was clean and comfortable, there was a lot of food waiting for us in the fridge and the cupboard. Steve gave us great recommendations of places in the neighborhood.. We had a great stay there! I can recommend it .

    Hana2013-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Carmen and Steve's. The house was very comfortable and we enjoyed the front porch and living room when we were there. I hope to stay here again next time I'm in town. Thanks!

    Alan2014-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time in New Orleans and especially appreciated having such a spacious, clean, and fun place to stay. Though we didn't interact a whole lot with Carmen and Steve they were both very kind and quick to suggest some cool spots for us to check out—and we appreciated the privacy since it was our honeymoon, after all. It was really everything we could have asked for.

    Mrk2014-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Carmen was very welcoming and we ended up meeting her in person after a bike ride. She is very knowledgeable of the area and gave us great suggestions. The place fit our needs great and it was a short (hot) bike ride to the quarter from her house so great location!

    Kasey2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here - great hosts, great area, beautiful house that we didn't want to leave. Hope to return one day. Thanks to Steve and Carmen.

  • This was my second time staying at Carmen's Bywater Getaway with Bikes. And, I will most definitely be back. Lovely clean house, great amenities, friendly hosts, perfect location. What more could you ask for? (Oh, and the bikes are great too!)

  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. the use of a bicycle was the selling point here. Without the bike I have no idea how i would have seen so much or have had so much fun. NOLA is very flat, so biking is the ideal way of getting around. Also, this house is in a great location, a simple 5 min cycle to the french quarter. This house is in a suburb, so it allows you to experience the actual NOLA, which is amazing. All the locals in the suburb are so very friendly. Comfy and clean bed, spacious room, aircon... perfect. They have all the facilities you need. Then there is the zine, Coco and Andrew's guide to NOLA. The best! It made my trip. Helped me to find the coolest coffee shops and restaurants I would not have found otherwise. There is also a map in there which really helped, as I did not have one (Website hidden by Airbnb)

  • I loved staying in the Gold Room! Beautifully appointed room with a great bed! The pictures tell the story. Quiet block. But, the really great part was the bikes in the back shed. Having access to a bike meant that I could get around town quickly and easily without having to deal with driving or getting a cab. With parades shutting down streets, having a bike is a great thing! Cute coffee place (closed Monday's) is within a few blocks, if you don't want to use the kitchen.

    Mark2014-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent stay!! We used the bikes provided for the entire trip and saved a bunch on cab fare! We were able to explore the city, get exercise and do all sorts of fun stuff! Coco was super helpful and nice, and the room/house was very charming and cozy. Would love to stay again! Thanks!!!

    Edward2013-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The house and room are clean, exquisitely decorated, and fabulously freaky. Coco is awesome and accommodating. The free bikes were useful. Highly recommended.

    Eli2013-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic place to stay. Andrew was very easy to work with and helped us out of a last minute bind. The bed was comfortable, the neighborhood was fantastic - we got lots of waves and hellos from the neighbors when we would walk around during the day time. I would recommend this place to my closest friends.

Semi-private room* in a cute and cozy shotgun house in the Marigny. 15 minute walk to the French Quarter, 12 minutes to Frenchmen St., 2 minutes to the Bywater. Located around the corner from a few restaurants, bars, a coffee shop, and grocery store. *Note, this room is yours and yours alone, but people have to walk through it to get to their room.
The house is a classic shotgun, a very common style of architecture for homes here in New Orleans. Our bedroom is the first room in the house, and we rent the next three rooms to guests (see our profile for links to the other rooms). Each room is arranged one behind the other. You will be walking through two bedrooms to get to your room, and while you'll have your room to yourself, people will have to walk past your room to access the kitchen, other bedrooms, backyard, and bathroom. Both doorways have doors which you can close for more privacy. Please look through our photos to see the "blueprints" of our house, this will give you an idea to how it's laid out. Your room is the third room in the house. It comes furnished with a built in bed, curtain for privacy, XL twin mattress, reading lamp, a chair, vanity with a large mirror, clean sheets, fresh blankets, four pillows, a towel, and a white noise machine to cancel out house noises. The room accommodates one comfortably.
Our location is probably our greatest feature. Our house is centrally located in the Marigny. Frenchmen St. jazz and music clubs are only six blocks away, the French Quarter is a ten minute, nine-block walk away in one direction, and the Bywater (neighborhood) is just over the train tracks, two blocks in the other direction. We are one block from Mardi Gras Zone, a 24 hour organic grocery store (now with an alcohol license!), and three blocks from Hank's, a 24 hour convenience store (where you can stock up on alcohol and fried chicken). Flora's Coffee shop is two blocks away. There are eight bars (ranging from fancy cocktail bars to dive bars) within a three block radius.
  • Had a great time at there house. They made me feel welcome and helped me figure how to get around. Thanks!

  • I really enjoyed my stay with Katie & Matthijs. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the place has a nice atmosphere at a great location. Highly recommended!

    Costa2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great house, and Katie was a great host. It is perfectly located to explore New Orleans and all it has to offer. Katie's tips and recommendations were spot on- the nearby deli she told us about has the best Po-boys in town!

    Jacqueline2013-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Katie & Matthijs were as amazing as New Orleans itself. They were able to let me book last minute, & I arrived to find a clean, well kept house perfectly suited to get some r&r on my trip. The location is perfect for those visiting the city for the first time, or someone who knows the city quite well like myself. The amenities ( free WIFI, washer & dryer, and oversized bathtub) are what you would expect to find in a room or hotel that would cost over $200.00 a night. The hospitality was second to none and whenever I visit NOLA again, this incredible gem in the Marigny is one of my first choices in where I will lay my head each night. This was my first booking on airbnb & I feel like this experience set the bar for what I will give my guests when they visit & stay with me, and also what I should expect from other hosts throughout my travels. With Katie & Matthijs, I feel like not only did I find a suitable place, I felt like I met some new friends who love to travel as much as I do.

    Steven2014-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with Katie and Matthijis was lovely. They were so nice and very helpful with anything I needed or questions I had. They also had some great tips on places to check out - thank you! The house was so cute, hand crafted lofts and bedroom set ups. It was incredibly cozy. My room was the smaller twin sized room for one, very comfortable. I would for sure stay again. Their location was perfect as well, a straight walk to the French Quarter or public transportation to get around the city. Never had being to New Orleans I was concerned about the neighborhood as I didn't know it, but it was quiet and didn't feel out of place. Thanks for everything ya'all and I hope to see you on my next trip! :)

    Donna2015-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • I spent 8 nights at the home of Katie and Matthijs in New Orleans, and both were most hospitable and friendly. You can interact with them or have your own "space" as you wish; come and go as you please. The description of the room was accurate, and given the semi-private nature of the room both the hosts and other guests were respectful of the traffic required getting through the house. The shared bathroom worked out just fine. A great place to stay in a neat (and safe) part of town! Prepared my breakfasts and lunches in the kitchen (grocery store is a block away), and elected to eat out for dinner. I was on crutches during the time of my visit and was able to catch the bus within 2-4 blocks of the house to get to the convention I was attending as well as various tourist sites in town. As Airport Shuttle won't deliver to private residences, if coming or going from the airport arrange to be delivered to or from a hotel in the French Quarter--then take a bus or (as I did, given my physical condition at the time) a taxi. This room is all you need to make a go at N.O.--it's "simple and sweet", with some nice people!

    Bruce2014-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, host were super welcoming and I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in the door. Would definitely book again in the future!

    Colleen2018-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Katie & Matthijs are two very nice people who made my amazing trip to New Orleans even better. Their place is very close to the French Quarter (I walked pretty much everything) and is a great bargain for the price. The shotgun setup of the house is definitely special, but everyone is very respectful so it works out just fine. Katie & Matthijs even took me and the three other guests they had to a Thanksgiving event and introduced us to their friends. I'd totally stay with them again - and probably will since I'll have to come back to NOLA very soon :)

Your room is the fourth room in the house, next to the kitchen. It comes furnished with a full size bed, bright lamp for reading, Christmas lights, fresh sheets, clean blankets, pillows, and towels - and it's on a loft! To get up to the bed you will need to climb a ladder up 7 feet to the loft. The height in the loft is around 4 1/2 feet, meaning most people won’t be able to stand, but it’s still fairly easy to get around in for any able-bodied person. Below the loft is a hangout room, where you are more than welcome to hangout and stretch your legs all you want.

  • Really great and cute place in a really cool neighborhood!! Walking distance through a beautiful neighborhood to Frenchman street which was really fun, and to French quarter/bourbon street. Katie and Matthijs were both so nice and helpful and made us lists of places to go and eat, which were amazing! Would definitely stay here again.

    Raven2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in the little loft! Keep in mind - it is little. There is no room. It is tiny and stuffy. With that said, the neighborhood is really fantastic. Many bars, restaurants, etc are within walking distance. Several are quite good. We loved Bacchanal for dinner, Mimi's for tapas, and The Joint for great barbecue. Katie and Matthijs are very nice and gave lots of advice. They also helped me out when I left my face wash there and let us come back the next day and grab it! The pups were also very cute. We probably wouldn't stay in the loft for an entire week because there wasn't any privacy, but staying there for one night was just perfect! Ka

    Emily2015-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect to get what you pay for. The hosts are very kind but you don't really have privacy. One bathroom so make sure you go when you don't need to. If your in the loft, have the air on as soon as you get in, otherwise you won't be able to breathe up there. Otherwise pretty clean.

    Lexy2018-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time to stay at Katie and Matthijs place, and the experience was just as good as the last time! Although Katie and Matthijs were not there during my stay, they had a friend (Mike) house-sitting and welcoming all the guests as they arrived. Mike was awesome--super friendly, hospitable, and nice to chat with! The neighborhood is perfect. Everything is a walk or short Uber/Lyft ride away. This a really consistent, convenient, and comfortable place to stay--not to mention affordable. I highly recommend it.

    Keeley2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • There really can't be enough said about my stay here in NOLA. This was my first time booking with Airbnb and it was absolutely beyond fantastic! Both Katie and Matthijs provided me with a perfect list of things for me to see and experience while being here, and it is a definite MUST that I come back for sure. Their location is unbeatable! Anyone who's up for a great experience for a city that has so much to offer, this is the place to be! Thank you so much again Katie an Matthijs for being such wonderful hosts. I hope to be back again soon sometime and conquer more fun and exciting things from your list!

  • The condo is in a great location with easy access to Poydras and Canal. Steps away from Carondelet which will take guests directly to Bourbon Street across Canal. The condo was also very clean and well-appointed. The only drawback was the top bunk bed was a little bit rickety. It would be fine for children, but adults should be cautious. Otherwise, the condo was great and we would definitely stay there again.

  • The Marie Antoinette Room was beautiful and clean. We had a great time and the hosts were very nice.

  • Andrew has a great set up that allows his guests to be independent and knowledgeable about the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood and Crescent Park. We have traveled numerous times to NOLA over the last 20 years. This extended weekend was one of the finest spent there. So good to see progress. The streets and sidewalks still need lots of work but there appears to be work being done here and there.

  • Andrew's place was great! It's in a very convenient location that allowed us to explore the city easily. The area they lived in was really safe and even though our car was full of stuff from our cross country move. We felt safe leaving it parked out front.

    Elijah2015-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, we really enjoyed staying outside of the French quarter and seeing more of the city. Andrew left a guide to the city with some recommendations for places to eat locally and things to do, really helpful and well thought out! The room was great, huge bed and effective aircon! Everything was clean and well presented. Would recommend staying here!

    Helen2015-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • The check in process was seamless even checking in late at night without Andrew present. The neighborhood felt scary at night because we were new to it but it was really safe and when we woke up we saw how beautiful the buildings were. Overall our stay was pleasant. However in the future we would probably stay in a hotel. The listing was $45, but after cleaning fees etc that came to $73 and that was a little pricy for us. We did it for the experience but for the sake of price, comfort, and more privacy (although privacy really was not an issue), we will stay in a hotel next time.

  • Andrew was wonderful. The house was close enough to everything and the neighborhood was quiet and nice. The room was clean and temperature was comfortable. Host was prompt at responding via text and it was an overall nice experience :).

  • Andrews place is in a very great area if you are trying to be close to all the fun!! Not even a 15 min ride and you're in the French quarters where everything is so amazing! The directions were well explained so it made it easy to do and find everything. The Marie Antoinette room has nice decorations , a little different than the pictures online but still nice ! Very peaceful at night . Overall my stay was average .

  • We loved our stay in Jan's place. The pictures do the house justice. The place was really clean and Jan was really helpful. We would definetly stay there in another visit. Thanks for everything!

  • Jo and Tyler were fantastic hosts. They have really cool style, and their place is walking distance from the French Quarter. We loved staying here, and would definitely stay again on any future trip to New Orleans!

    Molly2018-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great cottage. Easy enough to walk to the French quarter or Marigny (an 20-30min). The neighborhood does have a rooster so a noise machine helps if you are a light sleeper. Overall it was nice place and we enjoyed our stay there.

  • The house looks exact like picture. So cute!

    Qian2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for our week long trip. Very clean and cozy inside, with everything you need to live comfortably. Location is in a safe spot with a short walk to the French Quarter. Jan was very communicative and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended.

    Austin2016-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had such a great stay at Jo & Tyler's. The house is so cute and gorgeously decorated, love the pink sofa!! It's spacious and a cool hideaway from the heat. About a 20 minute walk into the French Quarter plus Ubers are pretty cheap and plentiful in the area. If you want a bit of a break from the French Quarter this is an ideal place as it was always really quiet in the area at night. Not too many grocery stores around. Would definitely recommend checking out Willie Mae's for the best fried chicken you will ever eat!

This free standing casita, tucked away in a tropical garden, includes a small refrigerator with refreshments, jazz records, New Orleans literature, and a clawfoot tub. Off of Esplanade Avenue, it is halfway between the French Quarter and City Park.
The casita is located in the backyard of a side-gallery shotgun cottage. I have been renting it through Airbnb for two years but recently changed to my on profile. The main house was built as part of a series of shotguns developed by two brother from Cienfuegos, Cuba in the early 1860s. The casita is its own building, built in a modern design in 2010. You can come and go as you please through our lush side garden. Inside, there is a very comfortable queen sized bed and bathroom with a clawfoot tub. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer and there is a small refrigerator and kettle. We include some local snacks as part of your stay. We also have a record player with music from New Orleans and books from the region and my own nonprofit publishing organization, the Neighborhood Story Project, for you to enjoy while you are here.
This old Creole neighborhood, in the heart of downtown New Orleans, is in between the French Quarter and City Park. Just a block and a half off Esplanade Avenue, a beautiful boulevard canopied in live oak trees, it is also very close to Bayou Road, the first road in New Orleans! From the house, you can walk to this street, where there is a wonderful collection of shops, including the Pagoda Cafe with the best coffee in town and wonderful breakfast and lunch (located in an old Chinese laundry building), the King and Queen's Emporium (which sells handmade soaps in one of the city's first public market buildings), the CocoHut (New Orleans/Jamaican food), and Domino Sounds Record Shop, which has been featured in national publications as one of the best record stores in the country.
  • -Rachel was a great host. She was responsive the couple of times we needed help. The NOLA guide she created was also very insightful! -I found the neighborhood to be charming and quiet-- and it was ideally located for us to get in and out of the French Quarter via Lyft. It was also a comfortable walk to Willie Mae's (delicious!!) and the Broad Theatre. -The casita itself was a nice little private space that was clean and a place I looked forward to coming home to each night. -Little amenities like a water boiler, towels, and mini fridge (with water and beer!) made a big difference. -I recommend the casita for solo travelers or couples as there is only one big bed and it's more an an intimate space (:

  • A really lovey spot. Cozy linens, a record player for the new albums we got in Nashville (and Rachel's, too), the friendly neighborhood, and a great deal of privacy helped make our stay a good one. Stop by Fatma's Cozy Corner for delish Turkish coffee and breakfast and lunch goodies!

    Casey2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Magical tiny house in a cool neighborhood, at a very agreeable price. This place has real character and will be loved by all adventurous city explorers. The a/c worked great, a definite necessity in New Orleans! It was the perfect homebase with access to both tourist areas and more authentic local favorites. Nearby Man Chu Food Store is a hidden gem! Pretty easy walk to French Quarter or to St. Roch food market.

    Al2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I really enjoyed staying at the casita. It was really cozy and close enough to the fun spots in town. The Treme area is great, but definitely has a few shady spots. We ubered around for the most part and it usually only cost us 5 dollars or so between us. The snacks in the casita were a nice touch and of course it is always great to see vinyl laying around. The bath tub is also very cool! If you're looking for a spot where you can sleep and grab a shower between adventures in the city, this is a great bet! :) Thanks, Rachel!

    Sebastian2016-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel did an amazing job making us feel welcome the day we arrived. The Casita is within a mile of The French Quarters main strip, blocks away from Bourbon St., and Blocks away from Frenchmwn St. all within a walkable distance through a picturesque neighborhood. We could not have been more happy with our stay.

    Michael2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A cute place tucked in a colorful neighborhood. Walkable to the French quarter.

    Kelsey2018-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • You need to stay here. Rachel is super responsive and inviting. The casita is so cute and just has a welcoming vibe. You can walk everywhere but your not in just a tourist part of town. Love this place :)

  • Rachel was an amazing host. Very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Casita is lovely! It feels so nice to listen to the jazz vinyls available in the house :-)

  • Awesome spot, Hollis loves the culture of NOLA and is an awesome host. Fab location, this will be my spot in the future.

  • I had an absolutely amazing experience at Hollis' home. Top tier hospitality and a very well decorated home with a creative New Orleans feel to it.

    Juan2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Hollis was a great host! We loved his place and it was perfect for our one night stay. We would definitely stay in Hollis' place again.

    Amanda 2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here was a great experience! we didn't interact with Hollis much due to the fact we were out and about most of the time. However when we did it was great. He is extremely helpful and loves New Orleans. I appreciate that so much and I can feel his passion for his city and its culture. The house was beautiful and the room was gorgeous, comfortable and well kept. This was my first AirBnB experience and I will be sure to do it again!

    Samantha Megan2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Hollis was an excellent host and made his home very inviting for us. The home is beautifully decorated and very clean. He was very welcoming and friendly. We would recommend Hollis' home to anyone!

    Mike & Megan2016-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was honestly the worst air b&b experience I've had. Let me start by saying the house and room are very clean and beautifully decorated. That wasn't the issue. But if you'd like a distant, slightly rude, completely uncompromising host Hollis is your guy. Basically, two of my friends and myself were driving to New Orleans from Miami (13 hour drive). We needed an air b&b really just for a couple of hours of sleep before leaving early to drive on to Cali. I saw a cute room, I didn't notice it was instant book. I wrote in the notes for the request that there were 3 of us and noticed that max # of guests was 2, I asked if I could bring one more person, we would all have slept in the same be. Hollis said he would accept the additional person but for $40 more. That seemed quite high since the room was only $53. I asked if he would compromise at $20 extra he said, "no"....I then asked him to refund the reservation then. He said no refunds. It had been 5 minutes or so. So now ether I would have to pay $40 more or lose my original $53. I was so upset. I called customer service. They ended up paying the $40 extra for me. So I went on ahead to the house. We arrived late like midnight. Hollis answered the door with an attitude like our mere presence was a nuisance. His check out is very early at 10. I asked if we could have a late check out he just answered with a resounding no. In the morning we packed and as we were leaving he was sitting in his car didn't say a word and backed out the second he closed the front door. He literally was the most unwelcoming person I have ever stayed with and I've used air b&b often. Will NEVER recommend this host to anyone. But on a side note. New Orleans is awesome. The people are fantastic and I can't wait to go back.

Visit our 100-year-old warehouse loft! We are one block from the Canal Streetcar in a true NOLA neighborhood. 2 Blocks to Whole Foods & Lafitte Greenway bike path. Near French Quarter, Mardi Grad Parade Routes and Fairgrounds.
Location, location location! We are close to everything! We lived uptown for many years and just moved. We love it here and can walk to everything. There is free, ample street parking right in front of the property.
  • Todo divino! Cerca del streetcar. El vecindario amigable

  • I stayed only two nights, and didn't actually meet Keely or Jon unfortunately as I was out most of the time. The room was very comfortable, and check in was a breeze with a card waiting on the bed giving pertinent details about the stay. Some other reviews might mention that the neighbourhood is a bit dodgy, and they're not entirely incorrect. I never felt unsafe though, even when walking the street late at night. But knowing that there was a key code to access the apartment and the room itself as well definitely helped put me at ease. Location is decent, street car along Canal is convenient. Walk into FQ is about 25 to 30 mins, so if you're thinking about walking, be prepared for a trek. And use the footpath on the opposite side of Canal St, as it's paved better. Overall, a great experience. Thanks!

  • The Greenroom was the best choice for our last stop in our big USA tour. The apartment was exactly the same, as you can see on the pictures. The apartment is clean and the furniture absolutely aesthetic. We loved the entrance area, there you can play games or eat your dinner. Jonny was very nice and thoughtful. He recommend some places and restaurance (for example the "Coop's Place") it was a great suggestion. Yes the neighborhood is special, but we made everything by foot and you can walk to the Frence Quarter in 15 minutes, is was not dangerous. You can buy really good food in the "Wohle Food Market". Our stay was absolutely uncomplicated and we definitely recommend that place.

    Theresa2015-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nice bed.

    Renee2018-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet place. Common area for the 2 rooms is nice. Bed is very comfortable. Shower had so much mildew we bought shower sandals to use it and skipped the shower on the last day.

  • Great place to stay - very welcoming. Don't expect a hotel or fancy neighbourhood and have a great time here, proper airBnB experience.

Amazing aprtment in a Historic Mansion located in Treme. This home is located wonderful neighborhood to have a real New Orleans experience. This home is full of history and culture. One bedroom, one sofa bed, a full kitchen and a wonderful balcony .
  • Brandon's place was exactly as described, it was spacious and everything you could need. Great location, in a nice + quiet neighborhood but also close to all the bars. Brandon handled our check-in wonderfully. Strongly recommend!

    Vickram2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Angie met with us at the property and took us upstairs to the apartment. The house was so cool (it's lit up at night). The unit itself is upstairs through the main house in the very back. The place was beautiful! High ceilings, huge open windows, lots of light. The kitchen was new for the most part and had everything we needed. Bathroom was a little dated and small, but for three small females, it was enough. The bed was very comfortable (and so is the couch). Some of the reviews say it's within walking distance of the FQ but it took us almost 40 minutes to get from the Jackson Brewery area back to the place at a brisk pace but it was no more than an $7-10 Uber ride to anywhere. Parking was easy to find on the street. If you're looking for a place to just lay your head and rest in between NOLA adventures, I'd recommend this place!

    Patricia2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great hospitality and a really cute place to stay!!

    Heather2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon's place is great, and just what we expected. We were greeted with kindness and helped with our bags (an Airbnb first!) when we arrived. The French Quarter was about a 15-20 minute walk, and we had an easy time getting all around town on busses and that from this spot. There's a direct bus from down the road to the Garden District that took about 25-30 minutes. The place was generously stocked with N.O's incredible Cafe du Monde coffee, and everything was clean. Entry and exit from the property was easy and totally chilled out. We got a great recommendation to hit burgers at Port of Call 10 min down the street. An excellent first meal for the hungry, and the cocktails were mega. The only issues we had were 1) the bed squeaked quite aggressive which meant my partner and I woke each other up whenever we turned over and 2) the AC is noticeable; not majorly, but one of those 'once ya hear it, you can't un-hear' kinda things. If you're not a light sleeper or don't mind some ambient noise, no big deal! All in all a top notch spot; would recommend to anyone.

    Mike2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing stay we had! Myself, my hubby and my two children (7&9) were made to feel very at home in Brandon's place. Although he was away, Truedell took very good care of us. She was very quick to respond to any questions, and provided us with a tonne of useful information. We came with a vehicle, which we left parked on the road in front of the house for most of our visit. We walked to Jackson square in less than 30 minutes. The bus stop was a couple of blocks away as well. For those who have a hard time navigating stairs, heads up. It was a tall, steep flight up to our room. No issues for us, but might not be great for some. Another thing to consider, my kids slept on the pullout couch. Ok for them... definitely would not be great for adults. The bed was wonderful though! The house was spotless! Linens and towels were clean and soft!! Absolutely no complaints. Business stuff aside... I can't sing enough praise for Truedell, her family, and their hospitality. We were there over Father's Day weekend. She and her family invited us down to their backyard cookout. Made us feel like part of their family! After almost 3 weeks of being on the road and living out of suitcases, it was nice to have a home cooked meal and just relax with wonderful people! Can't wait to come back! Would recommend Brandon's Place to anyone! Thanks again for some wonderful memories!

    Marianne2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon's place was lovely. I would definitely come back. Catching an Uber to the French Quarter, CBD, or Uptown was very easy and the property manager was quite responsive and accommodating.

  • This was a beautiful house! We love Truedell, she really made us fell like we were family!

  • Truedell was a very friendly and welcoming host, and she met us the evening we arrived. The apartment is beautiful, and she also invited us to use the common space. We were able to walk to a restaurant in the neighborhood, and it is also easily accessible to the French Quarter. I recommend this apartment!

Our newly renovated apartment is right in the middle of town, within walking distance of Magazine St. and just on the edge of the Garden District. Plus, it's just 3 blocks from the streetcar and St. Charles Ave.
Please be our guest in the newly renovated apartment situated at the back of our really old (1850s), charmingly-dilapidated house. It’s just a couple blocks from the parade route/street car/St. Charles, and only about a mile from the Superdome. They don’t call it Central City for nothing! Walk past the main house, down a winding brick pathway, and up the stairs to the private entrance. You enter into the kitchen, with concrete countertops, old wood floors, and plenty of sunlight pouring through the original wood windows with old bubbly glass. Fix yourself a drink and head up the spiral stairs to the bedroom. Just around the iron handrail is a full size bed, and plenty of reading material about the places you’ll want to see and the food you’ll want to eat while you’re here. Then venture out the bedroom door onto the balcony. Did I mention you’re on the third floor now? The view is excellent, the palm trees sway in the wind, and you can hear the marching bands as they pass down the parade route. I almost forgot the bathroom. Honestly, it’s not huge. But it’s everything you need, plus a claw foot tub. And cozy towels, and bubble bath, and . . . well, it’s a bathroom. And just in case you’re wondering, it also has a flat-screen tv, cable, internet, a microwave, a coffee maker, all the things you need in a kitchen, and probably some welcoming Abita beers in the fridge.
Central City is the Best! We're right in the middle of everything. . . and I don't mean right in the middle of the French Quarter, I mean in the middle of a less touristy, little bit quieter New Orleans. We're just on the edge of the Garden District, a short walk from Magazine St, and just 3 blocks form the streetcar line. Plus, we're only one block from the super hip, up and coming Oretha Castle Haley Blvd where you'll find the best coffee, the indiest movies, a few restaurants, the new Food and Beverage Museum, and a tatoo parlor in case you're in the market. So come check out my neighborhood, you'll love it like I do!
  • My Girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay and Jackson and Jeff's renovated apartment. You couldn't ask for a better location with proximity to the St. Charles street car line and walking distance to Magazine Street. We were welcomed with bagels on the counter and tasty Abita Springs beer when we arrived. If I ever come back to New Orleans I'm definitely staying here again and would recommend anyone else to do the same! Thanks again, Jackson!

    Benjamin2013-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Jackson's charming and thoughtful location. Being only 3 blocks away from the streetcar made traveling around NOLA very easy.

  • My stay was just what I hoped for. The kitchen fit my needs just fine. It was quiet and easy to come an go as I needed. Jackson and spoke more often email since I was working odd hours most of the week. Good place, all my local visitor's really gave it high marks too.

  • What an amazing place! Super convenient and very private . Highly recommend it!

  • This place is amazing. I had such an incredible stay in New Orleans. You're blocks away from St Charles where you can grab a great cup of coffee, do some sight seeing, or what ever else may tickle your fancy! Highly recommend checking out Casa Borrega for lunch/dinner. Jackson was incredibly accommodating and tended to any/all of our needs. Pearl, the dog, was absolutely adorable, and made sure to come say hi to us when ever possible. I'm glad I got to say goodbye to her because she was one of the best experiences I had in NOLA! The house is beautiful. The area is nice. Jackson and Jeff are both amazing people and answered any questions I had promptly. I would HIGHLY recommend their place if you're planning on staying in New Orleans.

  • Location: very convenient to streetcar and Garden District. Neighbourhood in the process of gentrification. Jackson: friendly; very helpful with recommendations for special interests; ordered taxi for us when our phone not working; lovely welcome package. Apartment: very nicely presented; comfy; plenty of room; lovely private balcony. Spiral staircase has narrow treads so awkward to carry big or heavy luggage upstairs to bedroom.

    David2015-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Charming and great place and great kind hosts! Very clean and cozy. Jackson left some beers in the fridge and croissants for us! We had a great afternoon chatting on the porch. We will stay there again on our next trip to the awesome city of N'awlins. ........................................

Lovely apt with 14 foot ceilings and exposed plaster walls right in the middle of the French Qtr and the Garden Dist., walking distance attractions, and wonderful food and drink options within one block. Separate entrance and entire floor of 1850s brick townhouse. I own the home, and we live on the first floor of the building with our dogs. We're very thankful to you for staying with us, as your money goes back into the bldg by paying for its continuing restoration! [Listing #: 17STR-08176]
Old 1850s brick townhouse located on the edge of the Lower Garden District. The apartment is romantic, full of antiques, and has a super comfy king size bed. If you love food, you are within walking distance of some great restaurants located either uptown on Magazine Street or downtown in the Warehouse District / CBD. There is a lovely bar right next door, an awesome coffee shop right across the street and a microbrewery with half a block. You are just a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter as well. I own this house, live in the building, and do all the booking, communication and cleaning myself so I'm here to make your stay as great as possible with a a personal touch! Your stay funds the renovation of this building so thanks for considering this for your stay in New Orleans.
I love this neighborhood! It is right in the middle of city along the river, so a more low traffic spot, but with easy access to the more commercial and entertainment districts. It has its own lovely set of bars, coffee shops, and wonderful restaurants very close by though.
  • My husband and I spent a week in this flat to visit New Orleans for the first time. Lindsay, the host, is great. She's friendly, flexible, accommodating... and the apartment. is. phenomenal. We want to move in. The location is central and close to the trolly line, there's a great coffee shop across the street, and it's far enough from the French Quarter that you can have Nola charm without the touristic drunkenness. The apartment itself was clean, bright, and true to the photos. It might be drafty in the winter (and the windows don't block out any street noise), but was perfect for us at the end of January.

    Gina2015-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is gorgeous and in a fantastic location! There are tons of things to do and see all within walking distance. Lindsey provided us with easy to follow instructions for check in and she was incredibly friendly and easy to get a hold of should we have had any problems... We didn't have a single one! Anyone who decides to stay here will not be disappointed!

    Nick2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • I travelled to New Orleans with my partner for the end of Mardi Gras 2014 for 4 nights. We could not have picked a better place to stay. Lindsey's apartment comprises of a very spacious second floor studio , large kitchen area with all amenities inc gas stove and high ceilinged bedroom with floor to roof raw plaster walls and exposed beams .separate w.c. with shower in cast iron bath. The property is quirky and certainly of a certain 'vintage' however we felt this added to the appeal and it's by no means unusual in the district. Lindsey herself was unobtrusive , extremely helpful when approached for info and most gracious in inviting us for drinks and socialising with her wonderful friends on Fat Tuesday. There is a great bar 'Bridge Lounge' just across the street and the apartment sits on Magazine Street, which is bohemian and most rewarding to walk down and explore the garden district from, the French Quarter is maybe 20 minute walk or cheap taxi/street car ride. All In all Communication was excellent and our time in the amazing City of New Orleans was definitely enhanced by choosing this residence and location. Muchos Gracias Lindsey :)

  • Great place to stay with a wonderful host.

    Chad2017-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was exactly like it is pictured! Situated on Magazine St, it was not a far walk to either the French Quarter or the hot spot further down Magazine. We did a lot of walking and took a cab back. It was summertime in NOLA, so keep that in mind when visiting there. Lindsey had great suggestions to fun spots, and was very easy to communicate with. Will we come back here? Absolutely!

    Naomi2015-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • I don’t think I could recommend this place enough! When looking for a place to stay in New Orleans we wanted something that felt historic and traditional and this place hit the nail on the head. Every detail in this place is amazing and while it is a 200 year old building and has its quirks I would absolutely stay here again.... and again.... and again. The bed is super comfortable, the ceiling is unbelievably high, the windows flood the room with light, the claw foot tub is adorable and there is soooo much space!! Lindsey was there to meet us and great about communication. She even pointed out the near by shops. The coffee shop and brewery that are literally across the street we’re great. And it was a good location to get to everything we wanted to see. I could go on but if you want to really feel like your in NOLA stay here!!!

    Brianna2018-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed in Lindsey's amazing apartment twice now, and it's a perfect New Orleans experience—within walking distance to the Warehouse district/all the museums (and French Quarter if you're feeling ambitious), good coffee across the street, 15 min to pretty much everywhere in the city by car, and on a really lovely block. Lindsey's super easy to get in touch with and willing to help out. Always looking forward to bringing new people to stay here!

    Olivia2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb stay and it couldn't have been better. Lindsey was friendly and accommodating, flexible with our travel arrangements, and a great resource on local restaurants and activities. The space is so beautiful, very clean, and quiet during the day and evening. Lindsey has filled the space with charming small details and the bed was so comfortable. Being so near public transpiration, activities, and restaurants was ideal. Don't be scared off by the close proximity to the highway, this space is quiet and located in a very pedestrian neighborhood with lots of food and drink options.

  • Brandon's place is beautiful and relaxingly lively!

    Johnny2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Just Beautiful! The listing was more than I expected (the photos are true of the apartment). On a scale of 1 to 10, it is a 10 hands down! We were pleased with our stay and the service the host (Brandon/Michele) provided to us was great. I would recommend Boutique Apartment to others.I will surely return to Boutique Apartment for accommodations during future visits to New Orleans.

    Monica2014-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon was a great host! He was extremely responsive and accommodating, making sure we were able to get in without a problem even though we arrived late at night, and even having some surprises (don't want to spoil it for other guests) awaiting us when we entered. Very nice touch! His place is really as beautiful as it looks in the photographs, extremely clean, pretty much has everything you would need for a more-than-comfortable stay. He was very quick to answer all our questions, to give us recommendations, and to go out of his way to help us whenever we encountered any issues. You really feel that he values his guests and cares about their experience in New Orleans. From our experience it can be hard to get cabs in the residential neighbourhoods especially on a busy Saturday night, but the great thing about the location is that we were able to walk to and from the French quarter (about twenty minutes)! You might want to walk along the main roads if it's your first time there. All in all we were very happy we found this place and had a great time in New Orleans. Thanks Brandon!

    Nicole2014-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment not far from French Quarter. Cozy and true to New Orleans' style.

    Ben2015-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was awesome! Romantic and fancy and made us feel completely relaxed on our mini-weekend getaway. Uber-ing anywhere was cheap (around $10) and sometimes we walked down to the French Quarter and that was a quick jaunt. Great place for a couple!

  • My husband and I stayed here while visiting New Orleans for a wedding. The place was clean, cozy, private, and easy to find. We brought our two dogs along and they seemed to enjoy themselves as well. During the day we took the dogs to city park which was very close to our Airbnb. We had a great stay and highly recommend it!

  • My boyfriend and I went to New Orleans for a night to celebrate our friends birthday. This location was nice, about a 5-7 minute drive away from Bourbon. Brent always responded in a timely matter and left very helpful directions for getting access to the building. The doorperson in the building was also extremely helpful, she made us feel so at ease. The apartment is great for the price, especially if you don’t plan on staying in town too long. Clean, lots of places to sleep if you have a group. Having to pay for parking was a bummer, and the shower was totally weird because it’s essentially open with no shower curtain, just half of a glass wall where the shower head is. Other than that, we had a great stay. Definitely recommend.

  • Brent was very responsive. Place is near French quarter/bourbon- about a 15 min walk. There is a lot of foot traffic around the apartment complex with a bus stop right next door. We mostly did Uber. Apartment has the basics- all you need for a fun weekend in Nola!

  • This place was perfect! The location was great and very close to all sorts of areas of interest and the French Quarter. There were tons of great bars and restaurants very close, and transportation was easy. Brent was very communicative and the check in and check out process was very easy. Highly recommend a stay at this place!

Our newly renovated apartment is right in the middle of town, within walking distance of Magazine St. and just on the edge of the Garden District. Plus, it's just 3 blocks from the streetcar and St. Charles Ave.
Please be our guest in the newly renovated apartment situated in the bottom of our really old (1850s), charmingly-dilapidated house. It’s just a couple blocks from the parade route/street car/St. Charles, and only about a mile from the Superdome. They don’t call it Central City for nothing! Come on through the gate, down the old brick pathway, and take a left at the hydrangea to the private entrance. You'll notice all the exposed brick piers and the lovely french doors. (You'll also notice that the ceilings are a bit low. This may not be a good space for you if you're really tall or like to do jumping jacks) You'll enter into the space and first see the modern kitchenette. It has a dorm sized fridge, a two burner cooktop, a microwave, a coffee maker and everything you'll need for some light cooking. The living room is large and has a couch that could sleep an extra guest if needed. The bedroom is separated from the living room by heavy curtains. It has a comfy queen bed and thick curtains for helping you sleep in. What more could you need? And just in case you’re wondering, it also has a flat-screen tv, internet, and probably some welcoming Abita beers in the fridge.
Central City is the Best! We're right in the middle of everything. . . and I don't mean right in the middle of the French Quarter, I mean in the middle of a less touristy, little bit quieter New Orleans. We're just on the edge of the Garden District, a short walk from Magazine St, and just 3 blocks from the streetcar line.
  • This was our second stay with Jackson, Jeff, and Pearl - and now their gorgeous little girl. After such a wonderful visit last year we didn't hesitate in booking our accommodation back at this wonderful location. It's close to the trolley, surrounded by great places just a few blocks away to grab a bite to eat, it's a quick trip to the Quarter and the accommodation itself is just marvellous; and you feel safe, secure and welcome. Jackson goes above and beyond to cater to any needs you may have (I even borrowed a pair of scissors, and we got an extra late check out!) and the room, provisions and overall facilities are fantastic. The shower pressure is great, the bed is incredibly comfortable, the kitchen is up to date - I mean honestly if I could rent this place to live in permanently, I would! If you're heading to NOLA for any reason, do yourself a favour and be sure to stay with Jackson!

    Ashlee2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! Jackson was welcoming and helpful for exploring the area. The accommodations are clean, comfortable, and quiet. It's within walking distance of the trolley right to the French Quarter, Garden District, etc. My girlfriend and I felt completely safe walking to and from downtown and the trolley. I would definitely recommend this over a hotel or any other place near the FQ. Loved the room, the location and Jackson.

  • If you’re ever in NOLA and want a clean, well kept place not too far from the “city” and in a quiet neighborhood this is the place. We very much enjoyed our stay. What you see in the picture is really what you get! Emma & Will -California

    Emma2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! It is very comfortable and has way more room than a hotel. We enjoyed having a separate living room and bedroom. We also appreciated the free parking - so many of the hotels that we were originally planning on staying at charged over $30 a night for parking. The location is great - it's only a street car or quick Uber ride from the French Quarter and Jackson Square. We probably could've walked there too. Jackson's house is in a really neat neighborhood. There are several restaurants and bars to walk to. We personally enjoyed happy hour at the Blind Pelican ($3 for a dozen oysters!) and breakfast at the Trolley Stop Cafe. It's also near a Walgreens and a convenience store. Jackson provides a book with ideas of things to do - most of which aren't on your typical tourist list. We appreciated her suggestions and knowledge of the area. Jackson and her husband have a sweet dog named Pearl who greeted us every time we got back to the house. She would also walk us to our door - we loved seeing her everyday! We didn't need anything extra while we were there, but if we had needed something, I would have felt comfortable reaching out to Jackson. We were a little nervous about our first Airbnb experience but we were so pleased with how everything we turned out. If we ever go back to New Orleans, we will definitely be staying in one of Jackson's apartments!

    Mary2016-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot talk up this wonderful little bungalow enough! Jackson was so welcoming and hospitable during the entire process. The space is warm, cozy and feels like you are just coming home. If I return to NOLA, this will be the place that I stay!

    Katherine2016-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jackson's place was everything we were looking for and more. The house is beautiful and has everything you could need (including the world's friendliest dog to welcome you!) Location was great for getting the street car to the french quarter and uptown and there are loads of cool restaurants and bars in the neighborhood.

    Alice2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Home is 2 blocks from St. Charles street which makes getting a cab easy at night. A few more blocks to Magazine street for easy shopping and eating. 10 dollar cab ride tp french quarter if you're in that mood, 13 dollars to frenchman street for great live music. Jackson was a great host and helped pointing out great food in the city. Will definitely stay there again if in NOLA. Give it a shot, central to everything.

  • I spent two days in New Orleans and decided to use AirBNB for the first time. Katherine was an amazing host. Her property was beautiful and it felt like home. I can't wait to return!

  • My husband and I loved our stay in this home. Kathy is quite possibly the best Airbnb host we have ever had. She was there to greet us even though we arrived before check-in time and explained where everything was in the neighborhood. She was easily accessible by text at all times and even put out parking blockades to secure a spot in front of the house when we rented a car! The house itself was adorable and well-stocked. The neighborhood is relatively quiet and best of all, located near City Park so I could go running there in the morning. If I ever come back to NOLA, I'd love to stay here again.

  • Ryan's place is a wonderful place to stay. He's a good host and very easy going. Had a great time.

    Tamara2017-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Good communication, easy check in, neat house. Parking (street parking) was easy and neighborhood seemed nice. I didn't meet the host as we arrived late and left early, but I'm sure he is a very nice person. Overall good stay.

    Alexa2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • First time in New Orleans, we arrived at night late, but Ryan saw me looking for the house and came out welcome me. Very clean house and full kitchen, 15 minutes to French Quarter. The house is close to Main Street so a bit noisy at night for very sensitive person. Overall, it’s a very clean, family friendly house, I would recommend to friend who visit New Orleans in future.

  • Great place

    Theodore2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The purple house was so lovely!! It felt homey, and in the living room there are these two beautiful windows that sunlight shines through very well. Ryan was also very flexible with check in times and check out times. He was also very helpful with going out of his way to do things for us to make sure we had a good time! The location is ok! We drove everywhere but nothing was further than 15 mins away and the drive was never bad. Front porch was very nice to watch daily New Orleans life going on around you. The house had everything stocked. Would highly recommend this purple house and Ryan as a host!!

Classic old New Orleans "shotgun" house. Vintage, rustic living. Not glamorous. Not a hotel. Cracks in the walls, old doors. Located just a few blocks from the French Quarter and only two blocks from "The Marigny" and a short walk to Frenchmen Street with live jazz and blues bars and clubs playing all through the night. First time using Airbnb? Get $40 off your stay with this link! https://abnb.me/e/IfmJLljEJJ
100 year old shotgun house and you can feel it. It has cracks in walls here and there. It has old charm but the claw-foot bathtub has stains that won't come out and that's a problem for some people. I love this house but it's not for people who are not ok with "bohemian/rustic" living.
15 min walk to French Quarter and 10 min walk to Frenchmen Street. 2 blocks from bus and street car. 70% black, 30% white ish. For all of you who think that black is dangerous this will not be a good town for you. My neighbors are friendly and usually its very quiet and residential. Kids play basketball in the street. People hang out on their porches etc.
  • This apartment is a nice, comfortable, uncluttered space and a really good value for the large amount of space and proximity to the French Qtr. and Marigny. Isobel was always available when we needed help with the amenities. All of her written instructions were detailed and thorough, and we were mostly able to live there independently. She even accommodated us with a late afternoon departure on our last day, so we didn't have to lug around luggage for half a day. Although the immediate neighborhood is a little challenging, the location is ideal. I would plan to stay here for future trips and recommend the space for other travelers.

    Catherine2014-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Isobel's apartment was absolutely fantastic! Getting in and out was a breeze and the apartment was very clean and felt completely safe. Isobel left a great overview of things to do in the area, (GO TO BACCHANAL WINE!!!), and was very communicative both before and during. I would recommend her place to absolutely anyone looking to spend time in New Orleans and experience some of the best culture the city has to offer, (Frenchmen St/Faubourg Marigny and the Bywater).

    Dan2016-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Isobel was warm and so friendly, she was totally respectful of our privacy and we generally never saw her except for when we ran into each other at a bar! FUN! The house was super charming, totally spacious with everything we needed. The backyard deck was small but perfect. Loved our experience in New Orleans!

    Sarah2014-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Isobel was a very sweet, beautiful lady who welcomed my friends & I into her home. She was 100% responsive to my emails & made sure we were comfortable when we arrived. She provided a detailed sheet with great information. Neighbors were very pleasant and hospitable. We enjoyed our stay & looking forward to staying at Isobels home again.

    Arianna2014-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Close to Frenchmen st, French Quarters, public transportation. Will not advise to walk in the neighborhood after 9:00pm.

    Pablo2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was a convenient and walkable place to crash between adventures. No frills.

    Mary2016-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Isobel was responsive and nice during our communication. The place was inexpensive and within walking distance to Bourbon Street. The house has everything you need and has a very intentionally rustic feel to it. If you want to save some dough and be able to walk to Bourbon then it's a good choice. If you're overly concerned with high end finishes then you should definitely look elsewhere. But overall, it was good and exactly what we were expecting.

    Brandon2014-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Isobel's place is perfect for a weekend in New Orleans. It's a quick and easy walk to lots of bars, restaurants, etc. Would definitely stay here again!

Across the Mississippi River from the convention center, the cruise terminal, the Superdome, the Arena, downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter. Quick 5 minute trip over the bridge to where all the action is! Also 5 minutes from the Algiers point ferry. Private driveway, washer/dryer and wifi. This is an upstairs apartment with stairs to the front door. We also have a rollaway bed available if you have an extra guest or child.
  • Wonderful little place. Quiet and comfortable.

    Selena2018-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very comfortable! Especially the bed! It is close enough to the action right over the bridge but located in a quiet and safe area. The host were flexible with us needing to check in early. They also provided amazingly detailed local recommendations!

    Deandra2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for my stay! Just across the bridge from downtown NOLA. Very clean and tidy. Comfy bed. It was stocked with toiletries that I forgot to bring. And even a few beers in the fridge, although I left those for the next guest.

    Dan2016-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • The photos don't even capture how truly great this place is! Very cute and home-y, comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, all the fixins for coffee in the morning. Perfect little spot for a stay for two wanting to see what NoLa is all about!

    Oday2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous apartment, clean, well furnished, lovingly decorated. Great guide of things to do, places to eat. Mimi was extremely responsive and accommodating. It's a little out of the way, so we took Lyfts everywhere. The only fly in the ointment were the train horns we could hear at night.

    Insa2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mimi's place was clean, comfy and perfect for a short trip to New Orleans. The room looks just like the pictures, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I never met Mimi face to face but she was great about email communication. It is about a 10 minute uber ride to downtown NOLA. I would definitely stay here again.

  • This was the best airbnb I have ever stayed in. Period.

    Ursula2016-12-05T00:00:00Z

One bedroom, ground level apartment in quiet City Park Triangle. Walk to City Park, Jazz Fest, and street car to French Quarter. Fenced yard with gazebo and fire pit. Short walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping.
City Park Triangle is a quiet and safe neighborhood. It is very well located to provide easy access (1/2 block) to City Park (Art Museum, Botanical Gardens, Morning Call) and just 0.4 miles to N. Carrolton Ave to restaurants, shopping and a stop for the Canal St. streetcar line to the French Quarter, Convention Center, WWII Museum and much, much more.
  • The place was great, and made better by Joan's hospitality. Not only was Joan easy to communicate with and very friendly, but she had a helpful guide for us that let us know about good restaurants and other things in the area. Would definitely stay there again.

    Jordan2018-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Its huge, clean, beautiful comfortable, great location, near the street car and city park

Great, 2 large room suite with king bed, new jacuzzi (someone broke the jacuzzi part) bath and all the amenities you need. There's a mini fridge (for all your great local leftovers), microwave, coffee maker, tea pot, brita water and cable/wifi.
2 large private rooms (parlor and bedroom) and full bath in a great location, with cafe & coffee shops nearby. The bedroom has a king size bed and the parlor room has a twin bed, if you need more sleep areas. I also have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The space has your own private locked entrance and is just off my front porch, which is a great spot to have your morning coffee or tea. Easy off-street parking, too. I have 2 bikes (huffy’s) you can use at your own risk, but you need to let me know before I leave for work so I can get them out for you. You are responsible for damage or theft and I req a $10/bike use fee to cover maintenance, bc it req extra work to tend to bikes. There are neighborhood rentals, but I think they are 30-40/day. Also, if traveling w pet need to approve with me and there is a $20 fee for pets. If you are a solo guest or staying longer than 6 days I will give you a break on price!o
The marigny is the greatest neighborhood and this space is all yours--its your own oasis in the front of my house w own entry. Easy and close (usually just in front of house) street parking. You can walk to the French quarter, frenchmen st., or just enjoy all the marigny has to offer. I have cable, wi-fi, central ac & am willing to consider pets. Note: I have 2 dogs & 2 cats that are very friendly, but they stay in my living space. This is a great place to stay for an authentic new Orleans experience in one of usa's best neighborhoods (look it up, it's true).
  • Kerrie was a terrific host and the location was perfect for reaching the Quarter & downtown. The space was clean, well decorated, and large. Definitely would refer to friends.

    James2014-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was at a great location and in walking distance of frenchmen street and the french quarter. Also there are many cute restaurants and cafes in the area. Kerrie was the perfect host! Responsive, caring and always there when we needed her! Thank you!

    Michèle2015-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a terrific week at Private Oasis in the Marigny. The apartment is very private, well appointed and has a very comfortable king size bed. The location is ideal. The neighborhood is quiet yet you are only a short walk to the clubs on Frenchmen Street and some great dining options in the Bywater. We look forward to our next visit. Thanks, Kerrie!

    Bill2014-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place in an ideal location. The Marigny is walking distance from the French Quarter and other nearby restaurants and bars, but residential and quiet enough for early-risers like us. It's also just a couple blocks from Crescent Park, a 1 and a quarter mile greenway on the river, which is beautiful for a morning jog or walk. Though it does have a shared entrance, the suite still feels very private, and Kerrie has decorated it beautifully. We had a great time and would definitely consider staying here again.

    Channing2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for our long weekend exploring New Orleans. It was in a quiet residential neighborhood that is still close to restaurants and coffee shops, and only about 5 blocks from Frenchman Street where all the best music venues are. We walked everywhere, maybe about 15mins to get to the French quarter. The main bed was comfortable and huge, so we didn't end up using the small bed much. That one has a plastic or air type of mattress so ok for a night, but probably not the best long term. But the main bed was awesome. Everything was super clean, check in was convenient, and there were even a few snacks and coffee/tea we could make in the mornings. There is a little fridge too. We could control the fans, but not the AC, so we asked Kerrie to adjust it and she did. We also accidentally got locked out and she was right there to let us in. Overall, we can't recommend this place highly enough and would gladly stay again during our next visit!

    Genie2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Close enough to walk one direction to Frenchman Street and on to the French Quarter or head the other way to Bywater, but still far enough that it’s quiet at night. The bed is generous but a little soft, which my husband did not mind and I slept on the little bed when I wanted a firmer surface, which worked well. There are lots of cute restaurants in easy walking distance, as well. Would definitely recommend!

    Elizabeth2018-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kerrie let us book a very last minute stay here and we were so relieved that not only was she easy to communicate with and quick to respond, but her place was perfect for us. The house was clean and well maintained and located within walking distance of everything we wanted. Would stay here again. Thank you!

    Amie2014-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first airbnb experience, and it makes me want to have many more! Kerrie was 100% responsive, honest, clear, helpful. Her place was exactly as described, and provided us with the perfect base for a perfect Jazz Fest weekend. I had lived in New Orleans for 15 years (have been away for 9, since Katrina) and wanted to introduce a new friend to the city and its charms. Kerrie's lovely cottage in the Marigny provided all I was hoping for, and more: a comfortable king-sized bed, a deep bathtub, high ceilings, nice art on the walls, coffee-maker + fridge + microwave, a great neighborhood -- plus baby birds nesting in a hanging fern on the lovely front porch! Although we never got to meet Kerrie, I feel I have a new friend in a place I will always love.
