  • Lance did a great job of communicating to us through AirBNB. We chose him as our host to celebrate our sixth year wedding anniversary. I was not disappointed in the view from his steel treehouse home. Everything was clean - our room, our bathroom, linens. We had a great time watching the sun set, watching the glow of Portland city lights, and the sun rise from his home. I would recommend Lance to anyone.

    J.T.2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing house with an incredible and generous host. Lance was welcoming and warm. The house was comfortable and so interesting. Going to sleep and waking up to suck a spectacular view was Amazing. Thank you again Lance.

  • The contact and welcome with Lance was great. He answers quickly, and when we arrived at his property we had a good welcoming conversation and on site tour. The location is amazing, great property and stunning views.

    Pieter2015-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • The view was amazing and the entire house is beautiful. It's my best airbnb experience so far. If you sleep with the windows open you'll wake up to the sunrise. If you're staying for a couple days and need some entertainment other than the view you might want to bring a laptop or a tablet. Driving to downtown is a short trip and pretty easy. Lance was very nice and inviting. I would definitely stay there again.

    Koji2016-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lance's home is the single most spectacular view of Portland and the unique architecture should not be missed! Lance was very kind. We had a scheduling glitch that he was able to fix quickly!

    Kelly2015-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • My experience at Lance's treehouse was everything that I had hoped for and more! The house was gorgeous and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Lance was a very welcoming host, and gave us plenty of recommendations and tips about Portland. To be honest, I wish Lance's treehouse was available for all of the nights we were in Portland, we were only able to book it for one night but it was so worth it. Staying here and watching the sunrise in the morning was amazing. If you're visiting Portland, YOU NEED TO STAY HERE.

    Kim2015-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lance was a great host! He communicated via text and email to make sure we were able to check in seamlessly. Alicia and i became fast friends with his cat too. The views are unbelievable. A must rent

    Timothy2016-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lance made us feel right at home when we arrived the first night. He was very accommodating to our late arrival due to our wedding reception. Even his cat was there to welcome us!

Unique hand built cob cottage next to lg. pond w water feature. Lg. fenced and gated yard. Gentle, curving space-made from sand, straw, water and earth . Featured in multiple international publications. The floor is also earthen clay with added radiant heat. Beautiful natural light. It's truly a magical place.
It's a curvilinear earthen structure hand sculpted from water, sand, straw, and clay earth. It features a radial roof with a central pagoda-like skylight. When building the Cob, we used reclaimed and natural materials when ever possible. The insulation in the ceiling is made from pulverized reclaimed blue jeans and the floor is made from the same earthen clay. It has a Dutch door, so you can open the top part for additional ventilation. It also has air conditioning available in the warmer months and a radiant heat floor. The bed is a very comfortable double with a memory foam mattress topper. The bathroom for the cottage is in the main house, about 40 steps to the back door. Inside you’ll find a large sitting room and full kitchen as well as your bath with claw foot tub and shower. These spaces are shared with 2 Airbnb rooms in the house. If you find the bath busy, our full bath is available upstairs on the second floor.
We are located in a sweet older neighborhood in inner SE Portland, built around the turn of the century. The neighborhood is extremely walkable/bikeable, and just two blocks from one of Portland's great restaurant rows, filled with unique locally owned restaurants, coffeehouses, bars, food carts, pot shops, ice cream vendors, pizza joints, clothing retailers, yoga studios and yes, even an old-school hardware store.
  • Jack and Cris were friendly and accessible via text before and during our stay in Portland. Checking in was a breeze, and it was wonderful to have our own private space in the midst of a busy family visit to Oregon. The neighborhood is quiet, welcoming, and cat-friendly--which was an added bonus to a couple of pet-deprived travelers!

  • Unique cottage with pond and waterfall. Small but comfortable.

    John2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was beautiful and in a great setting with great proximity to a very nice part of town.

    Jamie2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such a magical place to stay. The house is made with such love and attention to details. We loved the feel of staying in such a natural room. We appreciated the little artistic touches in the sunroom, bathroom and yard as well. It was a lovely stay for our babymoon. Thank you!

  • Friendly, cozy, feels like home. A++

    Debbie2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • The location is perfect! The space is unique and comfortable. If we are ever in Portland again, we'll be sure to see if Chris and Jack have space for us,

    Kate2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a short weekend stay at Jack and Cris' place - it was perfect! Something a bit different than a hotel yet still very comfortable. The cottage was warm and cozy, and the bed was super comfortable memory foam. Easy to get to, and everywhere we went in Portland was a $5-12 Uber ride from their home. Would definitely stay again! Thanks for having us!

    Julia2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Neat place! Very clean and warm, loved the heated floor. Started the morning with delicious coffee by the pond. Thanks Jack and Cris!

This wonderful, private little gem is just a few easy walking blocks from plentiful drinking, dining, dispensing, yoga & coffee spots. You will be one block from Woodlawn Park, 2 blocks from a bus and a 5 minute drive from the Alberta Shopping and Arts District. It's all so comfortably close by, but not close enough to disturb your relaxing, sweet retreat. Come have it all while living small in this tiny, artsy home away from home!
This space was built as a Model T Garage in 1926 behind a 1915 bungalow but it has had a face lift and has taken on a new life as a cozy, warm freestanding studio made mostly from reclaimed materials. A "tiny house" if you will, sweetly positioned between fruit trees and a garden sitting area. The sleeping loft comfortably sleeps two and there is a futon below the loft where one can enjoy a book while the other naps above. Occasionally you will hear the trains in the distance which adds a touch of nostalgia and you get to wake to the relaxing clucking and cooing of the neighborhood hens as this area has a nice spattering of urban farms and lots of mature trees. For your comfort, this as a "pet dander free" space. No pets, thanks. The table pictured here has been replaced with a "garden shed" counter that houses a small, removable basin sink. There is also a rustic, rough hewn armoire to hang clothes and tuck away your backpacks. The little kitchenette corner is stocked with utensils, a two burner cooktop, a mini fridge, a microwave, coffee and a coffee press. The studio's setup is more akin to a cabin, and as many cabins go, there is no bathroom. You will be given a key to the main house so please feel comfortable enough to come in and use the facilities. By the way, it is insulated, well heated, and stocked with plenty of blankets so it is a wonderful, warm hideaway in the fall and winter months as well. Yep, snuggly wifi too. The yard is plentiful with flowers and fruit bearing trees (figs and delicious yellow plums) in the summertime, as well as an array of veggies in the gardens where you can sit amongst the trees and regroup after a hard day at Powells Books. It's within a 5 minute walk from the heart of Woodlawn which has some fantastic spots to shop, drink, dance, and dine: -Firehouse Restaurant, somewhat romantic with good service -Woodlawn Coffee House, for plenty of people watching -Breakside Brewery, to grab a bite and catch up on the game -Grand Army Tavern, have some pork with your...pork : ) -Good Neighbor Pizza, laid back & late night too -P's & Q's Market serves yummy meals and a few grocery items -The Village Ballroom, for Square Dance and Special events -Uptown Cycles, sales and repairs -Portland Girl, spa day anyone? -Greener Grasses, well-rated dispensary -Koken Market, for almost any beer you want, snacks -Café Eleven, art, coffee, lunch & some pastries -Oregon Public House, the nation's 1st nonprofit pub -The Highwater Mark, rock pub with pool & hip hop on last Fridays -Tamale Boy, authentic & delicious with lots of outside seating -Bassato Gelato, 12 rotating flavors+bagels in the morning -HighWheel Mead, open Thurs-Sunday -(Seasonally) Woodlawn Farmer's Market at Woodlawn Triangle, Sat. 10-2 Downtown is a 15 minute drive. The Alberta Arts District is also just minutes away so you can hop on a bike and be right in the middle of the jam-packed Last Thursday Art Walk or make a day of it with shopping, dinner and some delicious ice cream from the infamous Salt & Straw. Then come "home" to your quieter retreat where you can just relax and lay in the hammock.....ahhhh. And as the area is well surrounded by beautiful, mature trees, you may decide to enjoy dinner in the love seat swing under the pergola and watch the evening sky. It is a wonderful theatre for watching small bats do their sky routine in the distance. Flying in? This spot is only 10 minutes from the airport. And while in Portland, you may want some wheels! Well, this location is very close to Zipcars and you can sign up with them or Car2go on their sites in advance of your stay. Check out Turo or Getaround to grab a vehicle to tool But if you want to explore the city on two wheels, Everybody Bike Rentals or Ebikes ( electric bike rentals) are the spots to hit first (10 min. by bus). They provide helmets and locks too! ***If you don't see the dates available on the calendar that you had hoped for or if you are traveling with more than two people, please check out my other listing (#95313) which is also a private studio at the same location. It is larger and complete with a private entry and bathroom. Just ask me! Parking is close and the livin' is pretty easy. So please get that profile completed, then contact me and come kick up your heels and stay a while! Oh! P.S. Please read the description, house rules and post a pic of you in your profile beforehand just so that everyone is on the same page. Much appreciated. Cheers!
  • Nice host. Place was not what I expected.

    Clayton2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Andree is a great hostess; I was looking for solitude and got it, but she was quite available to answer questions. The Tiny House is very cozy; I probably spent more time in it than most guests, but it was so restful I almost hated to go out for coffee or food. I had thought to use the loft bed, but when I got there and tried things out, I decided on the downstairs futon instead, and I was surprised at how comfortable it was. I've been home a day and I want to go back!

    Margaret2017-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Andrees place was amazing ! Cute and clean and exactly like the pictures. Everything was labelled and clearly set out and check in was a breeze. She was a great host and would stay here again and again.

    Hope2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Andree was an amazing host! The room was totally clean and prepped for my stay. I felt super welcome in the house and couldn't have asked for a better spot to spend the night!

    Lauren2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Andrée is a warm, friendly, knowledgeable, considerate host, and her place is both adorable and very well thought-out. Even though the kitchenette is small and doesn't have a sink, she has worked around it cunningly: everything I needed was right there, and then when I did need to go into her house to wash dishes more seriously, it was no problem. Because I injured my foot and was not able to use the loft, I slept on the futon-couch downstairs, which turned out to be far more comfortable than I had anticipated: nice! The one warning for future guests I would give (and this is completely out of the host's control) is that there is currently some construction going on next door. It wasn't a problem when I was gone all day, but it was a little noisy when I spent the morning working in the studio. If you are noise-sensitive and plan to be in the studio during the day, I recommend checking in with Andrée to see if the construction is finished yet. That aside, I can't recommend this place enough!

    Ellis2014-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Rustic Barn Studio is perfect for one or 2 people exploring Portland. Andrée was an excellent host throughout my stay. Her flexibility (as my flight was delayed 2 hours) and suggestions on what to do during our stay helped make the trip as memorable as it was.

    Kathryn2016-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed the stay here!

    Riho2018-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Andree was a wonderful host! We were able to book her Airbnb tiny home towards the end of the day and she was extremely prompt in responding to all of our messages! The space was exactly what we wanted: to live in a tiny home temporarily! I would absolutely recommend this location to any and all minimalists and those who want to experience something different!

With lots of space and light, this studio has everything that makes a house feel like a home: a fireplace, a full kitchen, King Memory foam Bed, oak floors, handmade furniture, cable tv i, and a private entrance.
This studio is a welcoming space in the center of an historic neighborhood that offers a unique perspective on the city of Portland. Ask me for in-depth info on where to go and what to see in the Irvington neighborhood, the Alberta Arts District, and other parts of Northeast Portland! Over the years, I’ve gotten to know quite a few incredible places to eat, drink, shop, and explore here. Located at the hub of some of Portland’s most interesting neighborhoods, this studio places the whole city at your fingertips. But adventure can be tiring, and the studio offers ample opportunity to put your feet up. Portland can get nippy at night, and a real wood fireplace, stocked with firewood from locally harvested and dried urban hardwood trees, is the perfect way to warm up and feel at home. The apartment has high ceilings and a great fireplace; it’s minimally decorated but has all the important things: a king bed, a couch with a coffee table, a small desk, a dresser and extra shelves, and a kitchen table. The kitchen comes fully stocked with the essentials for cooking a real meal, and the bathroom always has towels, soap and shampoo. The space is located on the first floor of a large 1910 home, which was converted to an eight-plex in the 1940s to adapt to the demands of WWII. I have lived in Irvington for 14 years and Portland for 25, and this house is one of the most unique that I’ve seen.
The Irvington neighborhood, now only a ten minute bike ride from downtown, was once a trolley-car suburb to the just-fully-developed West side. Designated a historic district by the National Register of Historic Places in 2010, Irvington is filled with early 20th century homes that have been preserved in their original states. Irvington has become a livable hub of Northeast Portland as a whole, with shops and restaurants of all kinds, within walking distance, surrounding the neighborhood. Irvington proper boasts more than a few community and culinary destinations of its own.
  • La casa es muy bonita y limpia. Todo funciona: chimenea, agua caliente, estufa... Todo. El barrio es hermoso. Parece de un cuento. El acceso al centro de la ciudad es fácil y más o menos rápido.

    Pixel2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • The place itself was great, so spacious, private, and very walkable to shops and restaurants.

    Robert2018-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space in a quiet neighborhood that is close and convenient to many Portland destinations.

    Andrew2017-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This space was amazing! The kitchen was fully stocked, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the studio had everything my boyfriend and I needed. It is located in a wonderful historic neighborhood. It is just a block away from the bus stop (the bus will take you downtown Portland). It is just a short walk away from amazing food and there is even a Nike Outlet nearby! Honestly, my boyfriend and I could not have had a more amazing experience. We would definitely come back and stay here again.

    Jessica2018-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Really cool neighborhood close to cool restaurants. Place is nice but dated. Pictures make it appear more bright and modern than it actually is.

    Daniel2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jason is a really lovely guy, and gave us a lot of privacy. The room itself was awesome and exactly as pictured. He left instructions for everything we might need, and in person gave us recommendations on places to try. The best part is he was very chill about using his bikes, which is definitely the best way to experience Portland. He lives in the beautiful historic Irvington neighborhood, so it's worth a cruise through the streets to see all the beautiful houses. Our only gripe was that the shower is VERY small, but it gets the job done. It was a perfect stay, we'd love to stay again the next time we're in town.

    Kristen2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • I travel to Portland for work often, and this is the second time I've stayed at Jason's place. It is an awesome spot if you want things to be super accessible but not right on top of you. The neighborhood is gorgeous with enormous street trees and grand old houses. Just a couple blocks from Whole Foods and great places to eat. Stay here. You will enjoy yourself.

This quaint totally furnished garden cottage, one bedroom apt. is private with it's own key, private entrance, and courtyard in the downstairs of our historic brick English tutor home in Laurelhurst, a beautiful old Portland community! Read our outstanding reviews!
This quaint 1 bedroom furnished apt. is located downstairs in our historic brick English tutor home. It has a separate key, private entrance, and courtyard. The space is well-lit with two windows and has a back door to a beautiful garden and patio in the backyard as well as a side door to the courtyard. The location is Laurelhurst - one of Portland's oldest and most beautiful planned communities on a quiet, tree lined street within 10 minutes of the city and 15 min. from the airport. Major shopping, wonderful restaurants and one of Portland's most beautiful parks are all within walking distance. This ideal location is only two blocks from a major bus line and 5 blocks from the MAX train. It is also within walking distance of favorite east side shopping and dining areas, including Hawthorne, Belmont and 28th street. When you enter this mid-century decorated apartment you will immediately feel at home! You will find a comfortable queen sized bed, overstuffed chair and desk with the latest mesh technology wireless internet, flat screen TV with cable, Blu-ray CD player, a collection of movies in the bedroom. The newly tiled bathroom has a tub and shower and, although there is not a separate "living room", the kitchen and pantry is fully furnished with everything you may need to make your own meals if you choose (i.e. microwave, gas stove, refrigerator, blender, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, spices, condiments, etc.). Other amenities include a private courtyard, washer/dryer in the apt., and easy walking distance to bus, train, restaurants and shopping. More information on our historic home can be found on Oregon Encyclopedia website. Search for "Brick House Beautiful". Our home has also been in "Better Home and Gardens" magazine and has been twice on the cover of "Old House Journal". If we are home when you arrive, we will be happy to give you a tour of our home and offer you a cup of tea or a glass of wine while you have complete access to our English gardens, courtyard and barbecue during your stay. We think you will be pleased if you choose to stay in the "Quaint English Garden Apartment " located in our beautiful historic home!
Laurelhurst is an historic old Portland neighborhood with beautiful homes, street trees and a huge park a few blocks away designed by the Olmsted's who designed Central Park in NYC. You will see how homes in Laurelhurst are each very different and unique from craftsmen with large porches to smaller bungalows with beautiful gardens.
  • Sue and Bob were very welcoming and more than happy to help us to enjoy our stay to the fullest. The space was accommodating, clean, and provided plenty of room. The home is in a great neighborhood, walking distance to Hawthorne Boulevard and Laurelhurst park, as well as bus lines and the Max. The only thing I can say in the negative is that the listing stated the apartment as being "downstairs." I took this to mean on the first floor when it is actually in the basement situated underneath the kitchen. This is not a huge deal, but the sounds from above were intensified without carpeting on the floor. Other than that, we loved our stay in Portland!

    Christine2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience with airbnb and it was a good one. The owners of the house were away on vacation so I cannot comment on them but they were incredibly responsive when I needed to ask anything. Their home and garden and location in the city are all perfect. The studio in which we stayed was comfortable and spacious. I have only good things to say about this place.

    Gary2015-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I just finished a 3 night stay with Bob and Sue and had an incredible time. Consummate hosts and truly friendly people, they met us at the entrance the night we checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. We both would highly recommend this spot to anyone stopping in Portland for longer than one night. Random thoughts: * This place is in a PRIME location - the neighborhood is beautiful and is located equidistant to both the airport and downtown Portland (both about a 10 minute drive, respectively). There is also a lot to do within walking distance and even more within reach on a bike. * Speaking of bikes, Bob & Sue let us borrow theirs for the day on Sunday - Thank you! Definitely a perk in a bike-friendly town like Portland. You haven't experienced Portland as you should until you join the masses on a bike for a quick roll through town. * Our hosts LOVE Portland and will gladly point you in any direction you'd like to head with local info etc. They also have a ton of info available inside the unit to browse through. * WiFi worked great which was a huge plus for us, as we both needed to check in with work obligations briefly each day. * All photos on website are accurate - this place is as advertised - cute as could be and well thought out, etc. One thing we were a little surprised about was that the cottage is connected to the house, meaning there is a common entrance in the back. This aside, Bob & Sue were very kind and gave us plenty of space and privacy. Again, our stay with Bob & Sue was a huge part of a perfect weekend and we would confidently recommend this to anyone passing through Portland in the future.

    Josh2012-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sue and Bob were fantastic hosts. They provided great recommendations and a great place to stay in Portland.

    Keith2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time as the first Airbnb guests in the apartment! Bob and Sue take great pride in their home and garden, and it was a treat to stay there. Highlights include the dreamy bed and sunny gardens. We didn't realize from the photos that the apartment was in the basement, but it was spotless, spacious, well-lit and we had full access to the gardens outside during out stay. Kitchen was well-equipped. Our hosts were generous with their time, picking us up from the train station and taking us on a driving tour of the nearby neighborhoods to check out. Very responsive when we called with questions. Bus stops are a block away and convenient, with friendly and informative drivers. Takes about 30 min to get downtown on public transit. The airport is easily accessible by MAX. Quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Highly recommended!

    Diane2012-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sue and Bob were very helpful.

    Molly2017-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Cottage Garden unit is in a nice residential section in Portland. Easy to get to from Airport or download. Ed and Sue were very welcoming...they called ahead on our day of arrival. The basement unit was just as described and in great condition. Queen bed was comfortable. Easy free parking on the street. It is a beautiful home and the fall colors added to their wonderful garden setting. As it is an older home you can hear some noise from footsteps above or heating unit as it cycles.

Everything you need is here at our brand new guesthouse loft: a luxurious, lofted queen bedroom; high ceilings with floods of natural light, a modern kitchen, full bath with heated tile, comfy sleeper sofa for extra guests, and Stumptown Coffee with organic cream. The loft rests at the back of the property, one block from bustling Division St, and short blocks from restaurants, coffeeshops, & the Woodsman Tavern, named “One of America’s Best Bars,” by Esquire Magazine.
The loft is located in our backyard in Southeast Portland. While we are only steps away if you need us, the space is very private. In fact, guests report that they forget they are in the middle of the city when they stay in our space! We live in a desirable and fun neighborhood, and parking can be tight! Guests usually find parking within a block of our house. At night or during busy times of the day, parking can be found within two short blocks. Guests may feel free to use our driveway for loading/unloading. We do not have a TV in the guesthouse, but offer excellent wifi access.
Our neighborhood has everything you will need, mostly within a five-minute walk! And if you want to visit a different part of the city, there is convenient public transportation around the corner. Check out excellent coffeeshops blocks away (Good Coffee and Stumptown), delicious and intimate restaurants (Bete Lukas, Mi Mero Mole, The Woodsman), or walk up to Mt. Tabor Park. If you're into yoga, there's an awesome space (Yoga Union) around the corner.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-day stay at Laurel and Brian's place. It was immaculately clean with an inspiring contemporary aesthetic, very light and bright with treetop views. Both hosts are highly communicative and responsive--we genuinely felt our comfort was a priority for them. The guest house provides complete privacy from the host's house although it was nice to be able to say hello occasionally. The neighborhood was fun to explore on foot with lots of amenities to offer. Public transportation is available, although we had a relative's car available much of the time when we need to see other areas of Portland. I would be most happy to return here someday!

    Francine2017-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had the perfect stay! The location fit our interests and needs perfectly, and the guest house was a comfortable place to call home for our few days in Portland. The amenities provided were greatly appreciate and the bed, oh so comfortable! Laurel and Brian helped make our trip to Portland memorable :)

    Maggie2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place and a great location. Laurel & Brian made it extremely easy to check in and there was parking available in the neighborhood whenever we needed it. The furniture was comfortable and there were a ton of suggestions for places to eat in the guestbook and manual provided by the hosts - many in walking distance. I'll always check for this place when I visit Portland.

    William2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • So great! This place is amazing. 10/10. Would stay again.

  • Laurel and Brian's place is great! My wife, son, and I stayed for 2 nights. It is centrally located so that it is easy to commute quickly anywhere around Portland. The neighborhood is beautiful! The back home is warm, inviting and was done tastefully. The loft has the bed and it has a great open feeling ! We loved our time there!!

    Gordon2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Laurel and Brian's space was perfect for our 4-day trip to Portland. It's in a great location; close to shops, restaurants, bars, and also a walkable distance to Mt. Tabor. Their guesthouse is spacious, very comfortable, brightly-lit with tons of natural light, and the heated bathroom floor was a definite luxury. Laurel and Brian were very communicative before, and during our stay; they kindly let us drop off our bags way before check-in time, and asked if we needed anything halfway through our trip. Oh, and the Stumptown coffee they provided was a super bonus too. We would definitely stay with them again, and we highly recommend Laurel and Brian's guesthouse.

  • We had an amazing stay at Laurel and Brian's space. We felt at home the second we arrived and did not want to leave! The four of us slept so comfortably and the location was perfect. Thank you Laurel and Brian for having us. We will defentitly be staying here next time we come to Portland!

Where Bali meets Portland. Come relax in this newly, beautifully designed, private mixed use accommodation. Just five short blocks from Portland's hip N Williams district. A rooftop deck.
I have a total of five rooms, each listed separately in this unique mixed-use building where I also live and work. You will enter just past the Ned Ludd front patio via a private, secure, gated entrance off of MLK at NE Failing street and follow the stairway up to the second level. This is the larger of the three rooms. Each room is newly refurbished and furnished with beautiful, responsibly sourced tropical salvage out of Indonesia and locally re-purposed wood/trim doors and windows. Your private room comes with a window, a wall-mounted flatscreen t.v., small refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, free wi-fi an armoire, an ornate sink carved out of stone, down pillows, down comforters, a king-sized posturepedic mattress and zen colored walls that might just make you think you are in... Bali?
NEPO (aka NE Portland) is hip and cool and like so many hip Portland neighborhoods–it is ever-expanding and reinventing itself. New restaurants, shops, boutiques and businesses are popping up all over. Whether you are looking for a place to lay your head for the night while you get out and explore during the day, or you are just looking for a place you can hole up and relax, we've got you covered. The options and amenities you will find here in your little oasis in NEPO are plentiful.
  • Timothy was a very gracious and flexible host. He and the other guests were friendly, a great little book in town with everything you need within blocks. Timothy welcomed me and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was immaculate and the bed was comfy! Very easy bus ride to the convention center!

    Tanya2016-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great neighborhood and easy check in. Walking distance to fun and hip Portland eateries and bars.

    sinell2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Timothy's place was in a new part of town to explore in Portland and it left such an impression on myself and my husband. A great neighborhood for foodies...try it all!! His place was super comfortable and quiet and I would definitely stay here again.

    Heather2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place with a laid back atmosphere, easy to get to, straightforward to check in and out... would definitely stay here again.

    Tryggvi2017-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • First time usuing Airbnb, and it was amazing! Timothy's place is in a great location; just 10 mins from the Art Museum and there are several restaurants, bars, and shops within close walking distance. The living spaces were clean and arranged with care; the bathrooms were modern and kept nice and tidy! The outdoor deck had to be one of my favorite places, as it was open, exclusive, and 420 friendly! Will definitely be visiting again (:

    Khaila2018-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely room in a great part of town, the host wasn't there, but he made it very easy to access and although we weren't there very long (only 24 hours or so) we appreciated being in a nice place before our flight home.

    Fiona2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was probably my best airbnb experience to date. The room is beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable, and the roof deck is a great place to chill out in the evenings. We really liked the neighborhood, and had an amazing meal at Ned Ludd which is directly next door. Parking was easy and Timothy was extremely responsive. Highly recommend!

    Liz2016-08-23T00:00:00Z

Relaxed + modern one bedroom basement apt. Bright + spacious with a handmade Portland touch. Comfortable for two, it's a great home-base for the traveler wanting to explore PDX! Located in charming Woodlawn neighborhood. Near the park, bars and bus lines.
Handmade by us! We're a craftsman and an interior designer who are not afraid to get our hands dirty. Stay in this remodeled basement where every detail was thought, planned and carefully constructed. We value high-end, conscious design. Our motto is maintain, reclaim and sustain. All of the exposed wood was salvaged from this 100 year old home! We love our house and hope that you do too. It's a great, peaceful place to crash at the end of the day. A plush queen sized bed, a huge doorless walk-in bathroom (ie. divided by a wall), glass walk-in shower and a tiny but efficient kitchen were top priorities when we made this place. The kitchen has dishwasher/fridge/oven stocked with all the pots/pans and plates to make a nice meal at home. Its always a shifting art-installation, so don't be surprised if the art in the listing photos change. We like to collect art and objects during our travels.
We're one block from 2 major bus lines (the 8 goes to downtown) and our neighborhood market, P's & Q's. 3 blocks from Woodlawn park + 5 blocks to our neighborhood hub: breweries, dance hall, coffee shop and restaurants. Woodlawn is a great area and closely located to Alberta Arts District, Mississippi and Kenton.
  • Anna and Jeremy's space was clean, cozy, and well-designed - it's a gorgeous space! The home is a short walk from a few bus stops and in a quiet and safe neighborhood. They provided a long list of things to do and places to eat. We were thankful that they let us pass by and drop our bags off before check in since we had an early flight! We would love to stay here when I visit in the future!

    Gayle2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Love this place, lovely decor. Excellent location, very close to restaurants and bars.

    Meshelle2018-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • They both greeted us nicely and were very informative on showing us our BNB. I cooked a meal and needed a larger pot to boil some.fresh pasta I had bought and Anna let me borrow her own personal one which I thought was so so kind of her. I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone and I'll definitely return if I'm traveling to Portland again. Thx guys and all the best to ya

    Anthony2018-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Anna and Jeremy were the type of hosts that we all hope to have! They were informative, friendly, helpful and responsive! They provided detailed information prior to our arrival that made it easy to find and get into our place. And they provided so much information such as places to get food and great drinks when I let them know that we will be arriving pretty late! The place is exactly like how the pictures look - it is very spacious for two people! Coming from LA, we always appreciate free parking so we were so happy when we were able to easily park our rental car right in front of the house :) I hope all of our future stays through Airbnb will be this pleasant!

    Tracy2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Anna and Jeremy went above and beyond. They coordinated the key pick up and left super thoughtful info about the neighborhood, greater Portland and beyond. Anna even called me to make sure everything was going well. The space is super clean, well kept and really stylish! Our only regret is that we didn't get a chance to meet Anna and Jeremy and hang out with them as they seem sooooo cool!

    Lucy2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • We'd like to live at Anna's place. It's perfect. She also gave us a great recommendation list of restaurants and bars. Legit Airbnb stay. 5 stars :)

    Meagan2015-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the apartment! The entire place was clean, detailed, and beautiful! It is clear that they put a lot of effort into creating this space and keeping it nice. We really enjoyed the quiet, trendy, and lively neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!

    Brigid2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Anna and Jeremy's place was a great place to come home to after a day of touring the city and eating! We loved the décor and design of the whole place. Location was good from all the places we had our on list, was about 3-4 miles away from everything. Anna was very helpful at check-in and even texted me letting me know the place was ready earlier than our check in time! The only complaint I have about the space is that it was COLD! it's a basement apartment and it is not carpeted so it could get cold very quickly. We had to wear socks to walk around. There are a few extra blankets in the space as well as a small heater. We used both and it helped :). Also, no microwave, so If you have left over food you might have to heat it up over the stove. All in all it was a great place to stay for a short weekend. Thanks Anna and Jeremy!

Our private detached garden studio sits in the heart of a quiet residential neighborhood and is a short stroll to top restaurants, food carts, and shopping in hip SE Portland. The space is compact -- about 240sf -- but cozy, bright and a great place to unwind after a day of exploring Portland!
Our cozy studio includes a comfy queen bed, vaulted ceilings, full bathroom, kitchenette, and small sitting area. It's fully detached from the main house, so offers complete privacy. Skylights, french doors, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows provide views of the west hills and flood the room with an abundance of natural light, even on the greyest of drizzly Portland days. It's small --about 240sf-- but the space is well utilized with many amenities such as wireless Bluetooth speaker, Portland maps and guides, and comfy pillows and blankets to make it feel like home. The space is best suited for guests seeking a cozy place to relax and recharge after a day of exploring Portland; If you're needing more of a "hangout spot," this may not be the best fit. The studio has a full bathroom with shower (no tub). The kitchenette includes a mini fridge, sink, instant hot water, coffee maker, microwave and everything you need for reheating leftovers from the many restaurants and food carts nearby. Complementary tea and coffee are provided along with a long list of restaurant recommendations. There’s a growler available for filling, which you can do at The Imperial Bottle Shop on Division Street and at many local breweries and grocery stores nearby.
We love living in the heart of the Richmond neighborhood! Nestled on a quiet, residential street, we're a short stroll (about 1/3mi) to two main restaurant and retail districts of SE Portland. A 4-block walk brings you to a bus stop that can get you most anywhere else in town. A short walk from the studio brings you to food, shopping and entertainment (to name a few of our favorites): PokPok, Salt & Straw, Ava Gene's, Bollywood Theater; Food Cart pods, Little T Bakery, St Honore; A myriad of boutiques, shops and independent movie theaters on Hawthorne, Clinton and Division streets. You'll likely meet some friendly neighborhood cats during your stay, but due to severe allergies, our studio is pet- and allergen-free. You may also spot our eyepatch-wearing, kung fu-performing neighbor (and good friend) practicing in the street, sometimes alongside his 4yo daughter. He’s a world-renowned martial artist and teacher, is super friendly and adds some true Portland character to our otherwise sleepy neighborhood.
  • This place was great! Hosts were super nice and welcoming, everything was very neat and clean. Everything was as awesome as I expected. They left a list of plenty of amazing food places which we were able to try 3 of on our stay. Ava Gene's was our incredible and our favorite, definitely worth trying out. Our stay couldn't have been better :)

  • Truly a lovely studio with so much light. Very clean and a magical bed, would recommend this to anyone!

  • MOST COZY PLACE EVER. The pictures made it seem so awesome, but in reality IT WAS SO MUCH MORE! This place is perfect for a couple, it was so energizing being in a creative space that felt like home. It was spotless, warm and so cute!Melissa provided everything we could ever need. Coffee, Chocolate( both local) and a list of local places for us to check out. It was so detailed and exactly what we needed! We were able to stay off our phones and just enjoy the community. The neighborhood is picture perfect and filled with great people, good food and lots to explore. We checked out the Food Cart park just a few blocks from here( so much good food in one place... hard to decide!) and didn't have one bad experience. All the food and beer was so great. Check this place out and you won't regret it, its perfect.

  • Melissa and Brian were incredible hosts! My wife and I stayed with them on our first trip to Portland and it could not have been more perfect. The studio has all your needs covered, is super cute, and its location within the city couldn't be more perfect for exploring Portland. We hope to go back to PDX soon and would love to stay here again. Thanks for everything!!

  • Anastasia’s place was perfect for my boyfriend and I while traveling. We found the neighborhood to be extremely walkable with tons of restaurants and shops. For anything that was a little bit farther, we had no problem getting there from her place. The studio apartment was immaculate and Anastasia is clearly very thoughtful and accommodating. Our flight schedule had changed and Anastasia let us drop off our (many) bags before check in which saved us for the day! I highly recommend staying here. She’s a great communicator with a lovely space.

    Sophie2018-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay at Anastasia's place! The room was comfortable, clean and quiet and easy to access. This is the perfect place to stay if you're looking to explore downtown Portland and the surrounding areas, while also having a place to chill and unwind at the end of the day. Anastasia also made great recommendations about places to go in the neighborhood, my favorite being Escape from New York Pizza. :)

    Katie2018-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic, clean, and spacious place just steps away from the shops and restaurants of the NW area of Portland.

    Kristina2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location! Walking distance to just about everywhere, but the tram or Lyft were also easy and convenient when needed. (P.s. famous Salt and Straw and Blue Star Donuts are just downstairs, as well as Spielman Bagels, which was great for breakfast). Very clean, quiet and modern space, great for our three day stay. Anastasia was very responsive and lovely, and she also offered us the option to drop off our luggage early which was great. We had a wonderful time.

    Sheena2018-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Anastasia is the ideal AirBnB host. Her communication with my daughter and I prior to our arrival was great. She even accommodated our early arrival and let us store our bags before check-in. The studio is well equipped and ideally located, only a few blocks from the heart of Portland's best shops and restaurants. I definitely recommend Anastasia's studio and plan to return in the future.

    Melinda2016-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • I am so glad we stayed here during our first trip to Portland! Anastasia was very responsive to my messages before and during our stay. The studio was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. It's in a great location with lots of shops and restaurants - I think it's the best neighborhood in town. Anastasia warned us that it may get loud, but we didn't think it was loud at all. I slept great! And I felt safe walking around the neighborhood, too. I would love to stay here again!

    Linda2016-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • She was great communicating back and fourth. The studio was phenomenal super modern, clean, yet cozy and comfortable. I would definitely book the Modern Studio on NW 23rd & Lovejoy again in the future!

Magic Barn, circa 1936, former sculpture studio restored by community artists with old growth barn wood, up-cycled furnishings, kitchen, claw foot bath, baby amenities, with a sculpture garden. Centrally located in the heart of a charming restaurant and boutique district; 3 blocks to both SE Hawthorne and Division St. 15 minutes to both the airport and downtown, there are 4 bus stops and rental bikes within 3 blocks, and ample street parking on our block. Natural cleaning products only.
Built with Love! Cannabis is legal in Oregon. You are welcome to responsibly smoke tobacco and cannabis outside only. There are many dispensaries within walking distance. We are permitted by the city of Portland to host ten guests total at a time at the Magic Barn and The Magic House which are adjacent. If you are a group of more than two, please send us an inquiry to see if we can accommodate your group. Family amenities are available upon request: portable crib, baby bath, high chair, etc. From 2000 to 2015 the Magic Barn was Todji's sculpture studio. Most of the sculptures in the sculpture garden were designed right here and are exhibited for everyone to experience. When Todji first moved into the main house as a renter, the Magic Barn was just an empty crooked shed with no electricity, water or heat and it was filled with trash. Todji purchased the old neglected rental in 2004 when self-employed artists could get a loan. After fifteen years of restoring the main house, while building a career as a sculptor, Todji and Gisele decided to convert the sculpture studio into a "Magic Barn" to host travelers and guests such as yourself! During the summer of 2015 Todji designed and built the Magic Barn with the talented carpenters and fine art painters Theo Holdt and TJ Ravenwolf. The interior wood siding are salvaged old growth barn planks, and the ceiling is made of the original 1936 rafters and sheathing. TJ’s painting is hanging above the couch. TJ is native American from the Alaskan tribes of Koyukon Athabaskan and Muscogee Creek. TJ collected all of the natural pigments in the painting from all around Oregon in prayer, and his prayer in painting now graces the Magic Barn. Todji and Gisele have taken on the profession of being Airbnb "Artist Inn Keepers" to help support the cultivation of their artistic practices, and to share their creative work with you. Todji and Gisele produce public art bronze sculpture monuments for US cities which you may already have seen, or that you may see one day, please feel free to take a postcard home and visit their sculpture website.
The Magic Barn is centrally located in one of the most charming and hip neighborhoods in Portland. With the center of both SE Hawthorne and SE Division St within 3 blocks, there is an abundance of restaurants, boutique browsing, grocery stores, neighborhood strolling, and park hiking options within walking distance. See a movie, or just step in to witness the beautiful and iconic McMenamin's Bagdad theater, accompanied by an incredible restaurant/bar/pool hall in the back called the "Back Stage Bar", at SE 37th and Hawthorne. It will give you a feel for classic Portland! We are minutes from Mt Tabor park which has a lovely forest with walking trails sitting upon a dormant volcano, and we are 45 minutes to the spectacular 600 foot tall Multnomah waterfall in the gorgeous Columbia River Gorge scenic area. Division is the new up and coming Southeast neighborhood. With lots of modern architecture, new restaurants and shops you will get a feel for the freshest vibe Portland has to offer. Here is a list to get you started: Restaurants: (The options are endless but here are a few popular favorites!) Serving Food Late - Sapphire Hotel at 50th and Hawthorne, Romantic and sexy atmosphere- great for late night drinks and gourmet bar food. Stumptown Coffee Roasters- 45th and Division, Classic Great Portland Coffee Trinket- One block away on Lincoln and 39th, great for Brunch with their locally sourced eggs!) Harlow- 36th and Hawthorne, Hip and Healthy, great for lunch, or fresh veggie juice. Por Que No- 46th and Hawthorne, Wildly popular Mexican with a great playful decor. (Don’t be intimidated by the line, you order at the counter, and then get a seat and your order will be out in no time) Pok Pok- 32nd and Division, There are literally 11 Thai restaurants in walking distance, but Pok Pok is the best. Began as a food cart, but grew into a Restaurant Empire. Worth the wait. Bollywood Theater- 30th and Division, Indian food small plates. Also along line but worth it! Salt and Straw- 33rd and Division, Food Networks top five ice creams! Super Popular! Lauretta Jeans- 34th and Division, Breathtaking Pies! Tidbit Food Cart Pod, 28th and Division, Fabulous food cart selection, lots of seating, including a beer garden and vintage clothing bus. A truly Portland experience. Hiking: The website of "Friends of the Columbia Gorge" has detailed information about many hikes in the scenic and nearby Columbia River Gorge. It is a 45 minute drive from here to enter the gorge. Below are the names of hikes that we love and recommend. Check the website to find a hike with a distance and fitness level that suits you. For those who are visiting the gorge for the first time, I recommend visiting the most spectacular, and also the most touristicated, 600 foot Multnomah Falls. For those who want a challenging half day hike you can begin at Multnomah Falls and hike a loop called the Franklin Ridge Loop. Multnomah Falls /Franklin Ridge Loop Eagle Creek Angels Rest Bridal Veil Falls Triple Falls Wahkeena Falls Groceries, Pharmacy and Shopping: New Seasons- Local Health Food Store (40th and Hawthorne) Fred Meyers- Local Department/Grocery store (Cesar Chavez and Hawthorne) Rite Aid Pharmacy- Drugstore/pharmacy (Cesar Chavez and Division) Powell’s Books- A smaller version of Portland’s famous Bookstore (37th and Hawthorne) Gold Door- Wonderful Imports from around the world (37th and Hawthorne) Enjoy!
  • I loved the space! The instructions for check in were very clear and easy to follow. The day before our check out, I asked if we could extend our time one hour and they graciously granted it! My partner and I became a little hungry in the evening and could easily walk to restaurants nearby. I would strongly recommend coming here and will definitely book again.

  • We loved our stay at the Magic Barn. It is a cozy space ideal for coming back to after exploring in the chilly weather. It is conveniently located near tons of cool shops and local restaurants.

  • Couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Everything was beautiful and perfect. The hosts were more than accommodating!

  • The magic barn was beautiful!

    Kristen2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience at the Magic Barn was great! Gisele was there to great us with a big hug and the location is perfectly located close to two super cool local streets: Hawthorne and Division. We were able to spend so much of our trip exploring that area, eating and shopping. Todji and Gisele have clearly thought a lot about their guests--the barn is styled beautifully and there are charger strips, bikes to rent, etc. FYI there are two big skylights that illuminate the barn (cool) but could be a challenge for light sleepers since it gets bright in there pretty early. We had such a great time and both the neighborhood and setting helped give us a true Portand feel. Thank you!

    Alia2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as advertised. We were greeted cheerfully and the place is awesome. The right touch of rustic and antique with new hardwood floors and ceiling fan, etc. And great location! Walking distance to food and shops. Thanks!

    Eric2016-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning! We were blown away by the thought you had for every detail! Smelled AMAZING!!! They were so accommodating with us needing an early check in and late check out! Meeting Giselle as we left was such a treat! We will definitely be staying again when we come back!

    Courtney2016-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great place, it really is as good as the other reviews say! And it's well within walking distance of some great places (e.g. Ava Genes restaurant). Will definitely be recommending it to friends staying in Portland.

One of the main things we love about our neighborhood is that it is in a bit of a quieter area but very close to many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, bookstores, boutiques & activities within walking, biking or public transportation distance. So you can really have your cake & eat it too. Come back to relax in our peaceful location after a busy day seeing the sights! •5 minutes to the heart of Downtown by car - Rosa Parks Exit off I-5 is just a few blocks away. •1 block to frequent bus routes (bus #4 Fessenden), 8 blocks to Yellow Line MAX ~ easy to get to public transportation! •Bike friendly ~ two blocks from North Portland bike corridor •10 blocks to beautiful Historic Mississippi District, 20 blocks to Alberta Arts District •5 blocks to 1-5 •Peninsula Park Rose Garden & Community Center directly across the street. •New Season's Arbor Lodge market & grocery just 8 blocks away. Chapel Pub, Florida Room, Seraveza, Red E Cafe, E'njoni, Killingsworth Public Library, Pho Jasmine, and many more restaurants & shops right within a short walking radius of the cottage (2-5 blocks).
  • Lovely little cottage with well stocked kitchen for light cooking. Everything was clean, modern and warm. Situated in NE Portland neighborhood, great location if you have a car. We had a wonderful visit.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Heather's place and she and her husband were wonderful hosts! The space itself is great - perfect for a couple (or in our case a couple and a one-year-old). Having come from Nevada, where it is practically on fire 24/7, it was nice to sit with the windows open smelling the rain and listening to the waterfall outside on the patio. The house was clean and well taken care of - the photos you see on Heather's page are a great representation of what you can expect. The neighborhood was also quite nice and we felt safe and comfortable the whole time. I don't know my way around Portland all that well, but we seemed to have easy access to get anywhere we needed to go - so it seems conveniently located as well. Heather and Topher were also great hosts in making us feel welcome giving us tips about places to check out. We'll definitely put this place at the top of our list next time we head up there!

  • My husband and I were looking for a little place to stay for a few days after our wedding in the N/NE Portland area. The Piedmont Cottage was absolutely perfect! We used to live in this neighborhood, so it was extremely comfortable for us and we felt so at home. Heather and Topher were very responsive in all our communications and always got back to us promptly. Although we didn't actually meet face to face, Heather made us feel incredibly welcome in their space and checked in on us periodically to make sure everything was ok. The Piedmont Cottage was the perfect choice for our little post-wedding mini-moon!

    Debbie2014-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Piedmont Cottage! The location was great - our our 18 month old son loved walking through the Rose Garden across the street, as well as playing at the playground at the opposite end of the park. It was an easy walk and metro ride to downtown, and we enjoyed retreating to our quiet and cozy, tiny house in the evenings. Having convenient laundry available to use in the basement of the main house allowed us to pack lighter than we might have otherwise, and being able to use Heather & Topher's pack & play for our toddler made travel and packing much easier. We had such a great time, and credit Heather & Topher for getting us hooked on using a French Press (as well as Stumptown Coffee)!

    Ian2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • House was as described. Location is central and close to most everything. Quiet and private! The McGarry's made us feel part of their family. Suggestions from Heather were right on! We would definitely stay again.

    Scott2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely 2 night stay in your cottage. Perfect for a couple. Thank you for your prompt replies and accommodating us on such short notice! We wish the roses were in bloom while we were there, but we did get the gorgeous magnolia tree in full bloom in the front yard! Thanks again!

    Christine2015-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was great, as described. Neighborhood was cute and quiet, parking was easy and it was pretty close to public transit. Great place to stay for a weekend getaway. Thanks for having us!

    Jen2015-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Piedmont Cottage was a perfect oasis of quiet and peace nestled in the midst of city access. We travelled everywhere by bus and MAX and entertained our grandchildren in the beautiful Peninsula Park across the street. At the end of the day listening to the falling water in the koi pond and visiting with Topher, Heather and Stella was the perfect finishing touch. The apartment has everything you could possibly need and is sparkling clean. We recommend it to anyone.

Comfortable, modern basement studio with private entrance, only minutes away from downtown and located in safe, quiet Piedmont neighborhood with plenty of on-street parking. Comfy queen size bed, private bath, private kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hot water maker, and all the basic amenities.

Piedmont is a quiet, family oriented neighborhood. There is a large city park a few blocks away with a beautiful rose garden, tennis courts and public pool. The trendy Alberta Arts and Mississippi neighborhoods are nearby.
  • Robert’s place was super clean and had everything you need for your stay. Check in was really easy, communication was great, and it is walking distance to some restaurants, bars and parks. The neighborhood is quiet. Thank you, Robert, for one of the best places I’ve ever stayed!

    Cindy2018-05-07T00:00:00Z

  • I would highly recommend Roberts place! Its a wonderful studio set up and even though its connected to Roberts home, theres a lot of privacy. Its the perfect location for exploring Portland. • We had a comfortable stay. Robert was out of town so we didn't get a chance to meet him in person, but we were easily able to check ourselves in with the instructions he gave us. The location was a short driving distance from downtown and the suite was just as advertised.

    Matty2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The space was perfect, and private for our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything thing needed as was the bathroom. The location was great! Very close to Alberta street which has a lot of restaurants and bars, and downtown was only 15min away.

    Leahe2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing! It looked exactly like the pictures and made me feel comfortable away from home. Was only ten minutes away from my destination and close to grocery stores and restaurants if I so needed. Would stay again!

Seen on the TV show "Tiny House Nation", CNN, Food & Wine Magazine, and the NY Post, the 350 sq ft Rustic Modern Tiny House was designed and built by us, your friendly AirBNB hosts. Guests call it "completely charming" and "the perfect urban getaway". Welcome! M+J
For years we've been daydreaming about building a little house one day. Then we finally made it happen - using our own two hands (DIY! The Portland way!) and with the help of some great friends. We had a vision in mind, but a lot of the details came together as we built, based on what materials we had available to us. Downstairs is the kitchen, living room with convertible couch, and bathroom with tiny clawfoot tub. Access the upstairs via STAIRS (not a ladder), where you'll find our loft bedroom with comfortable queen sized bed. Sustainable design is important to us, and the house is constructed and furnished from an eclectic array of reclaimed materials - squirreled away over the years, and now creatively reused and repurposed. See photo captions for a detailed walkthrough of the house. A PARTIAL SNAPSHOT • The trim and shelves are reclaimed from an old shed that used to be on the property. • Teak hardwood flooring, cedar shake siding - salvaged from high-end construction jobs. • The wood-clad windows salvaged from a horse farm in the Oregon countryside. • The kitchenette stove/refrigerator sourced from the Hood River History Museum. Instagram: @rusticmoderntiny
We love our walk/bike friendly N. Williams Ave neighborhood - it's been getting a lot of media attention as one of Portland's hottest neighborhoods. You are one block from the main corridor, bustling with award-winning restaurants, bars, coffee shops, wine bars, bakeries, yoga studios, and indie boutiques - it seems there's something new every week. Sunset Magazine loves its “low-key urban vibe", past guests call our neighborhood "awesome", "amazing" and "full of things to do". Our street has even made an appearance or two on the TV show Portlandia.
  • Our hosts were great with emails and texts to make sure we knew all the details for getting in the house. I especially appreciated the list of Favorites they had compiled, with great local things to experience within walking distance of the house.

    Monica2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved the tiny house. We had a great and comfortable stay. We enjoyed the outdoor space with table and chairs. The location was great (there are restaurants, coffee shops, bars and a grocery store very near... plus, Mississippi Ave - with great shops and restaurants - is a short walk away). We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Andrew2016-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute tiny house. Size was perfect for the two of us. Hit my head a few times on the loft roof though . The location was great and easy to walk everywhere. Check in was easy and we loved the little patio although you need to watch out for spiders outside! Thanks Michael and Jenna!

    Jen2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cool and unique place to stay. The neighborhood is nice. Bars and restaurants in walking distance. There is a really cool microbrew pub called the hub around the corner we recommend. If the weather is nice you can bike to downtown in about 15 min.

    Colin2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place in a great location! My boyfriend and I stayed for a quick weekend trip. The tiny house was super cool (just like the pictures) - a perfect place for two.

    Claire2016-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the Rustic Tiny House was an amazing experience and it exceeded my expectations. Not only that it is smack dab in the heart of NE PDX, walking distance from restaurants AND stores. Such a quaint and darling place. Thank you, Michael and Jenna for being such great hosts.

    Kara2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • It is a perfect place for a couple. The location is great and we didn't run into any troubles during our stay.

    Mariana2013-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Jenna communicated very well, not only the places that would be worth a visit, but also anything we needed to know about the home beforehand so that we had the freedom to just enjoy what Portland has to offer. The tiny home is awesome, it was just me and my wife, but when you're in it, it feels like a such a big space with how they decided to structure the home. It was very comfortable, and in a great little neighborhood, that was quiet, but 2 blocks away from some cool restaurants and hangouts. Also, downtown was only a 10 minute drive away, so it is in a great location to bounce back and forth and have access to whatever you have on the agenda when you visit.

Private and Modern. Studio bungalow sleeps three with full kitchen and bathroom. Laundry en suite makes this a great space. Located through a fenced yard. Conveniently located near MLK and a short walk to Killingsworth andAlberta streets.
  • Eduardo's Guest House is identical to the photos provided. It was spotless and truly a gem within Portland. I would certainly stay there again the next time I visit Portland. While I didn't get to meet him in person, he was quick to reply to my emails and offered some great suggestions for food! I would recommend the Guest House to anyone who is looking to stay in Portland!

    Cody2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very modern and stylish space. Clean and well maintained in a quiet neighborhood very close to lots of things to do!

    Kelly2018-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Eduardo is the poster child for an Airbnb superhost. His attention to details made us feel cared for and lu my to have chosen him. High thread count, amazing mattress, outdoor night lights to help us find our way at night, Aveda toiletries, tasteful art, visitor magazines, a bottle of wine. Five stars is not enough. A galaxy is more like it.

    Meredith2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous stay in Portland! Eduardo's place is modern, comfortable and a place I would return again and again.

Bright and clean private bedroom just one block off of Mississippi St. district in N. Portland. Minutes from downtown via bike, light rail or car. Easy access to/from the Airport too! Five years in and our five star rating is going strong!
This home is clean, quiet, creative and perfectly situated for an amazingly rich and convenient Portland experience. With a comfortable Queen bed (fits 2), wood floors, ample closet space, garden views and adjacent shared bathroom, you'll feel right at home. Please note that we ask our guests to limit bathroom visits to 15 minutes (especially in the morning) as this space shares a bathroom with an additional Airbnb room. Full access to kitchen, living room with fireplace, and landscaped garden patio with raised beds and seating. The home is full of plants and art from around the world. No pets/Allergen free! The Mississippi St. district is the place to be! Amazing restaurants, food carts, bars, breweries and stellar music venues are literally a minutes walk from the front door. NOT an easy place to get bored! Parking is easy in this safe neighborhood. The MAX light rail system has a stop just minutes away (walking) that can shoot you downtown or drop you off from the airport. Please note that our close proximity to the I-5 freeway does provide some background noise (not really noticeable inside the house). PLEASE NOTE: Arthur and Adam live in an adjacent building on the property. Audra is our house manager and good friend - and lives on the top floor of this home.
Portland's Historic Mississippi District is definitely where you want to stay when visiting the city. A gorgeous and funky stretch full of great shops, award-winning restaurants, an incredible music venue and amazing bars with outdoor patios and inspiring craft cocktails. SUPER easy to get to other parts of the city from here too!
  • Adam and Arthur were amazing hosts! As a young woman traveling alone, I couldn't have felt more comfortable or at home. The space is absolutely gorgeous and Adam and Arthur have worked very hard to make sure their guests are well taken care of. The location was perfect. It's only a couple blocks away from Mississippi Ave which is a wonderful strip of bars, restaurants, vintage shops, really everything you could ask for. And it's only a quick 5-10min drive into downtown. If you don't have a car, there are easy access to bus stations! My Portland lodging experience couldn't have been any better. I loved staying with Adam and Arthur and I definitely hope to back!

    Sydney2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Arthurs and Adams place was wunderful, quiet, clean and very close to Mississippi Ave, witch is a nice place for having breakfast, dinner and a drink in the night. Everything was perfekt! We highly recommend Arthurs and Adams home!

  • This is one of the best airbnbs I've stayed in, very clean and well decorated. The location is slightly out of town, but easily accessible by the streetcar or an uber. The neighbourhood is really cool with plenty of food, drink, coffee and shopping close by- It has a real community feel. I only briefly met Arthur, however communication was easy and consistent throughout the stay.

    Michael2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! The house is awesome, they are so hospitable and you immediately feel at home! The bed is so comfortable and it's easy to feel right at home! Everything is so clean! Definitely woulr return!

The room also has cable TV, Queen size bed, foldout futon sofa, airbed in closet, sitting area & desk. Several places for live music include the Secret Society, White Eagle Saloon, Wonder Ballroom and, of course, the Rose Garden Moda Center.
  • Está increíble bien ubicado, super lindo !!

  • Jere's home is wonderful and a great location for going anywhere in Portland. If you are a walker and it is not raining, you can easily make it over the bridge and downtown. But even closer are many sweet neighborhoods with multiple food options. Jere's home is superb. Clean! Comfortable! Environmentally conscious. So glad I happened upon this spot. I'd definitely choose it again.

    Ann2014-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • I really loved staying at Private Haven, it was a lovely respite from my conference and much better than any hotel room. The room was spacious and comfortable, but I found myself more often on the lovely private deck. Jere was wonderful, and made me feel very welcome and gave me a lot of information about the great things to do around the Eliot neighborhood. I hope to come back!

  • Great cute little private place in a great location! Loved our stay.

    Sofia2018-05-28T00:00:00Z

Buckman is a close in SE Portland neighborhood which is an increasingly popular place to live. The apartment is at the eastern end of the neighborhood. There are parks, a picturesque cemetery, good restaurants, wine bars, craft brewing pubs and the Laurelhurst movie theater, all within walking distance. The #15 bus line runs to downtown on the other side of the cemetery (6 blocks). A little further afield (just over a mile) is the Hawthorne district where there are some off beat shops and more places to eat and drink. Downtown is 2 miles away. The apartment is part of a new build and is situated at the rear of the property next to the garden It is one story up (over the garage) and receives a lot of natural light. It is fully self-contained, all appliances are new which makes self-catering very easy. What it lacks in history it more than makes up for in convenience! There is also ample free street parking directly outside the house. Buckman is pretty close to downtown while still having a residential flavor. It also contains a number of agreeable restaurants, wine bars and brewpubs. Everyday shopping needs such as grocery stores are also well served. Additionally it is pretty easy to get to the major freeways for travel purposes. Buses run to downtown and back a few blocks over.
  • Cara and Roger's place was absolutely perfect! Cara greeted us warmly and the brochure in the very comfortable room explained every nuance, every amenity so that we were thoroughly informed and never needed to ask further questions during our 5-day stay. We would happily stay there again should our travels find us in Portland. Highly recommended! A+!

    Annette And Dick2015-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is beautiful, very private accommodation at a reasonable price Location is in a trendy older suburb with great shops and restaurants. While we walked into the down town area busses are cheap and easily available. It is a huge studio with full modern kitchen, comfortable bed and dining and living space - all almost new. This is one of the best airbnb accommodations that we have had. The hosts have provided all the comforts that one may need. The hosts were very welcoming without being intrusive and communicated promptly prior to our arrival Great stay

    Stephen2014-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. This is a superb studio apartment. Spotlessly clean, fully and thoughtfully equipped, very cosy and comfortable. Felt like a brand-new suite. Located on quiet street in wonderfully funky Portland neighbourhood. I was sorry not to get a chance to meet Cara. I'm sure the studio is a wonderful reflection of her.

    Georgia2014-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cara & Roger's apartment was absolutely perfect and you can tell they put a lot of thought into making sure their guests have a comfortable stay. The soft carpeting, comfy bed, and bottle of wine waiting for you on arrival all made for a cozy, relaxing night in on those chilly Portland nights. The apartment has just about everything you need - towels, toiletries, washer/dryer, iron, guidebooks, and kitchen necessities. It is accessible by keypad, which was especially convenient for us since we had to check in very late at night and did not need to wake up Cara and Roger. Ubers to downtown were about $10 each way. My only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer.

    Mike2015-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cara's place is a nice apartment above her garage. It's updated and has everything we needed for a 3 night 4 day stay in the Portland area. We had a car the entire time and was able to find parking. We walked to restaurants but also drove to some that we really wanted to visit. They provided a code for us to get in and organized the apartment very well.

  • Lovely stay. The studio was beautifully appointed, quiet, and super clean. Was in town for a week long business meeting and this was the perfect place. Wireless network worked super fast. I wish I had had more time to explore the neighborhood. Will likely be back in Portland again this year and hope to stay again.

    Claire2016-01-23T00:00:00Z

It was very cozy, the bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed it after our long days. Very clean, everything looked pristine. Would love to stay there again if we find ourselves back in Portland, which we hope to do.

    Faith2018-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation is extra ordinary in every way. Sari is an excellent host. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was home away from home in a lovely neighborhood. We will stay there again when we return to Portland. Perfect location to walk to all that Hawthorne Ave has to offer. Easy excess to the busline going downtown.

    Brigitte2018-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Ed and Sari’s! The space was tidy and had great amenities, and was within walking distance of a bunch of restaurants, vintage stores, food trucks, etc. Sari was very communicative and helpful, and we also appreciated the book Ed and Sari put together on local food and transportation.

    Mina2018-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Wisteria Retreat. Our hosts we wonderful and gracious. The Hawthorne neighborhood is very beautiful and quite. the Retreat was clean and exactly as pictured on Airbnb and will certainly choose it for our future trips to Portland!

    Thomas2016-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very warm and thoughtful hosts. Location fabulous-between Division and Hawthorne near the best restaurants Apt clean as whistle and comfortable

    Joel2016-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nice Airbnb. Kitchen is laundry were very useful. The neighborhood was nice too. We enjoyed walking around.

  • This was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to stay in during our first visit to Portland! It was quiet, comfortable, and clean. It is located in a great area close to many popular spots: about a 15 minute walk to Division Street, 2 minute walk to Hawthorne Street, and 10 minute drive to Downtown. I would highly recommend to stay here!

    Lori2018-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I along with our 14 month old stayed four nights in the Hawthorne Wisteria Retreat and it was wonderful! The studio is as advertised and was clean upon arrival. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked and the queen bed is comfortable. This unit is situated to the side/back of the main house and is very private. We rented bicycles and a trailer to tow the little in and there was plenty of room in the courtyard to park them at night. The neighborhood is gorgeous, quite and within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and breweries. We are also avid runners and very much enjoyed serene runs in the neighborhood and adjoining neighborhoods. We had the pleasure of meeting both Ed and Sari and they were very welcoming. We are already looking forward to our next Portland adventure and will definitely stay at here again!

  • My girlfriend and I found this awesome house and took a chance on a spot that had 1 review. The place was amazing and Sara was a great host. Our airbnb was super clean, vibrant and cozy. Highly recommend it!

  • Cute tiny house, would recommend! It was perfect for us and the plants around it were so gorgeous!

  • We loved our stay at Sara’s tiny house in SE Portland. The space felt like home with it’s cute and comfortable set up. Would recommend!

    Grace2018-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Bright airy space that was clean, centrally located, and had everything thought of (iron, stocked kitchen, etc). Would stay again!

  • Would definitely stay here again. Such a cute tiny home and great location!!

    Courtney2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful little spot right along a transit route into downtown. Sara has thought of almost anything you could need, and being able to open up the big double doors really makes the place feel big. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper (the road can be busy), but the location is perfect for walkable and transit-friendly options for great food and interesting stuff to do. The place is super clean and private. We loved it!

    Erin2017-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • I was honored to be Sara's first guest. I've been a First Guest a few times before, and I can say with all certainty that Sara really hit the ground running! She has created an adorable, functional little home-away-from-home in a highly walkable area, close to all kinds of shops, restaurants, and public transportation. What makes her even better as a host is that she is a great communicator! Five stars!

  • Beautiful studio with a perfect location. Jetted tubs help ease any walking you may or may not do. Beautifully decorated and lots of privacy. Ron even checked in on us mid way through our stay and was very accessible. We would definitely stay again.

    Whitney2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here for two nights and were very pleased with our stay. Within walking distance to great restaurants and shops, and just a quick drive to the downtown area. Paul and Ronald were great hosts as well.

    Amanda2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome space; spacious, clean and stylie. Ronald and Paul were both gracious and friendly. The highlight was the neighborhood: walking distance to the best two meals I had in four days of non stop eating and drinking. (Porqueno and tasty&sons if your curious) Hell of a weekend...thanks guys.

    Loren2016-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Had an awesome time here, the location was definitely amazing. Walking to Mississippi Ave is by far the best way to get around. The place itself was awesome. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again.

    Josh2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Oh my gosh! Seriously one of my favorite experiences! Loved the space so much I wanted to move in! Everything was perfect! Wayne and Chelsie are the sweetest hosts! I would totally recommend and want to stay here again! Thank you for an amazing stay!

    Erin2018-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space, I love the decor and design of it. The location was really great; I have always stayed near pearl district, so this was a really nice change. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful-especially when we ended up at their front door to get shelter from the rain while deciphering where the apartment door was- and checked in halfway through our stay to see if there was anything we needed. I recommend this space to anyone considering it!!

    Acacia2018-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment is exactly what was advertised - clean, modern and spacious. Our host was communicative and checked in a few times to make sure we had what we needed! The area of Mississippi is awesome, too lots of cool shops and bars walking distance nearby to check out. Notes: The only downside to this great place at such an affordable price is the fact that you can hear those in the host house above you quite often, including early morning hours when sleeping or later given the apartment is directly below what I assume is a main part of the house. This didn't bother us too much but would those who are light sleepers.

    Caitlin2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at ron's place and we will be back. It was close to everything. The studio was clean, fun and unique. I would highly recommend this to anyone

I'm offering a comfortable clean bedroom in the best neighborhood in Portland. Self check in so late night arrivals are no problem. On all major bus lines. New Seasons market one block away and 20+ restaurants in a 15 block radius. Free street parking. LGBTQ friendly. 3 small dogs live here so if you don't love dogs, this is not the place for you.
I'm offering a bedroom in my four bedroom home on the main floor right next to the shared bathroom. The bed is a comfy queen size. My home has a back porch with a cozy deck for eating breakfast and sipping coffee and a picnic area under the arbor for dinner and relaxing. The dogs can be a bit intense, but Rocky is always down for a head scratch.
Dozens of excellent restaurants within walking distance of the house. Two grocery stores within 4 blocks. Major bus lines will take you downtown in ten minutes. Our neighborhood is quiet and clean in the heart of Portland's biking community. We're also within walking distance to the Aladdin Theater so come see a show while you're here!

    Mike2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kara's home is in a hip happening area. I enjoyed just wandering around, discovering the uniqueness of the area. All the housemates are open and friendly. Although there is a lot of activity in the house, I found it to be a calm, happy environment. I'd recommend her place to anyone.

  • Tommy’s place was outstanding! It was beautiful, nice location, and check in super easy. Will stay again if we head back to Portland. The only downside was that we hadn’t planned to stay longer!

    Shari2018-06-06T00:00:00Z

    Maria2018-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Tommy’s place! He was quick to respond and a pleasure to work with. His place was perfect, clean, updated and nicely furnished- we all said we would like to move in! It wasn’t in the heart of downtown but there were still things to do and it was an easy uber or drive!

    Maryanne2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay with Tommy. Located in a good spot to access the city and the local shops or eateries. The apartment is nice and spacious. I would definitely look at staying here again for my next visit to Portland and would recommend it for anyone.

    Thomas2018-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tommy was an incredible host! The apartment was very clean, organized and Tommy provides everything you need. From towels, linen, a well stocked kitchen, privacy, local tips/suggestions, pamphlets, a laundry room, detergent, books, umbrellas and conditioner, etc, etc, we never needed to worry about buying anything extra. The location is close to a lot of popular restaurants and nice stores via walking and driving. And the price was extremely reasonable. When we come to Portland again, we hope to be able to have his place again.

    Tina2017-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was clean and well laid out. Check in was super easy and the space was quiet.

A quiet, cozy bedroom & bathroom on the ground floor of a beautiful, modern new home in a verdant, friendly Southeast Portland neighborhood. Enthusiastic greeting by very friendly dogs & cat comes standard!
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE REQUESTING ACCOMMODATION. As a courtesy to our guests, our check-in time is 2:00 pm; however, as we both work weekdays, we cannot have the rooms ready until 5:30 or so. What this means is that our guests are welcome to make themselves at home in their living room or just drop their bags off and head out exploring, but they won't be able to rest their weary heads or hit the showers until we've had a chance to get home and tidy up. (PLEASE NOTE: This listing highlights the primary guest bedroom available, but for parties of 3 or 4 people, we do have a secondary bedroom that also features a queen-sized bed. If you are making a reservation for two people and you wish to book both bedrooms, PLEASE EXPLICITLY TELL US SO, as the default for two guests is ONE bedroom; for a two-guest reservation, the cost will be the listed room rate + $30/night. All guests share the same bathroom.) There is almost an entire floor available in our newish home smack-dab in the heart of fun, accessible Southeast Portland! This means that our guest(s) get not only their own quiet bedroom, but also a private full bathroom AND their own nicely-appointed living room (please note: the first-floor living room is NOT private, as it does not have a ceiling and is the way between the front door of the house and the stairs to the second floor). We are steps away from a frequent-service bus line, a terrific sandwich shop that's open for breakfast, lunch AND dinner, a pizza joint, a Starbucks, and, best of all, a Trader Joe's! The house is about two miles south of the trendy Hawthorne district, one mile south of nationally-recognized Division Street, and about four miles east of downtown Portland. The house itself is a beautiful, soaring Doug Fir- and hemlock-constructed dream home decorated with one-of-kind glass art pieces and potted succulents. Our guests have access to our fabulous kitchen in addition to their own first-floor amenities. We have a very friendly housecat you will likely meet during your stay, but the guest bedroom and guest bathroom doors are kept closed for the comfort of allergen-sensitive guests. We also have two friendly dogs who will greet you eagerly upon your arrival, but who otherwise spend their time hanging out with us and don't wander much to the guest floor. Lastly, to our guests during the colder months: the guest floor tends to be the coolest in the house, and we provide space heaters and afghans for your comfort, but we figure we should let you know ahead of time that if you run cold, ours may not be the ideal place for your stay.
Our neighborhood is so great! We are really close to several cool Portland hubs, but we're on a relatively quiet residential street so we truly have the best of all worlds.
  • Brad and Becca are so welcoming that you feel like a houseguest, yet you still have privacy. The sitting room was especially lovely, and the world map on the bedroom wall, with markers for their over 200 guests so far, showed their enthusiasm for diverse guests. Their amazing dog Carlos and their new kitten Diego were a bonus for us. Brad and Becca gave excellent recommendations for hiking and breakfast spots. We were airbnb virgins, and we fear they may have set the bar too high for our future stays!

    Ellen Jo2014-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Becca were awesome hosts! They were very friendly and responsive/accessible during our stay. Their home is in a great location and it was extremely clean and cozy. I cannot recommend them enough and if you're planning a trip to Portland, don't pass up an opportunity to stay at the Urban Treehouse!

    Michael2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Brad was a very responsive host. The place is tastefully decorated and very clean. I recommend staying here.

    Neil2014-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you to Brad&Becca for letting us into their beautiful home! Although we didn't have the chance to spend some time with our hosts bc we were trying so hard to feel out the whole city in just 3 days upon meeting them I felt the warmth and welcoming vibe that they put out. They also have the cutest dog and cat :) Plus: Bus ride away from downtown!

    Vardine2015-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay In Portland at the Treehouse! I have no idea how this couple manages to keep such a clean home with their adorable cat and three month old puppy, but they do. A beautiful, unique home. I loved reading in the quiet, open space next to the guest room. Easy check-in and check-out.

    Joni2013-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great space with private bathroom and living area in addition to bedroom. Very sweet dog and cat for people who aren't really animal people. Great suggestions for places to eat from the hosts. Very nice people! Definitely recommend.

    Lizzie2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Easily the most accommodating Airbnb space my wife and I have ever visited. The apartment is gorgeous; the hosts built a large art-piece/city guide just for guests; everything was well-labeled and easily accessible. Great neighborhood. Couldn't be happier! (Also, their cat Diego was an excellent visitor. We almost stole him.)

    Ken & Aviva2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in this beautiful house in Portland! The room has amazing and it centrally located and within a short walking distance to many restaurants. The hosts were very accommodating and extremely friendly. Thank you for hosting us!

This 3rd floor loft is located in the N. Williams District, on a main bike route, across the street from a bus stop, close to the street car and light rail. It is an eclectic 900 sqft self contained unit with amazing views on the top floor of a 1900's Victorian. This stretch of Williams Ave has a more industrial feel but we are just a few blocks from eateries & libations. Walk to the Convention Center, Moda Center and the Pearl District.
-The view is amazing. -Efficiency style open kitchen with 2 stove top burners, toaster oven, french press, cookware, full dishware & glassware plus a real fridge with freezer. -comfy queen bed & nice Egyptian cotton sheets -new heating system with Air Conditioning! -2 wifi networks -a slew of information & maps on Portland & surrounding areas such as the Columbia Gorge, Oregon Coast, wine country etc. -Walk to the heart of the Williams District -Walk to the convention Center & Moda -Walk into the Pearl District (20min.)
Building on its reputation for bicycles, beers and brunch, the Williams District has evolved into a dynamic, must-see destination for locals and visitors alike. With its broad array of eateries, breweries, characters, shops and services, the district is a veritable composite of all the best Portland has to offer. The Williams District includes more than 150 businesses and is also defined by its rich cultural history. In the 1940s and ’50s, Williams Avenue was teeming with jazz clubs and speakeasies. Today located just down the street is the historic Billy Webb elks lodge. On a Friday or Saturday night it is not rare to sit on the deck and hear the DJ spinning.
  • Awesome, simply awesome. I enjoyed the space very much and Tyra was the best help, she had tons of great suggestions for experiencing portland. I would definitely go back.

    Dan2014-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was awesome! Tyra was easily accessible by phone and was quick to respond when I wrote the door code down wrong. It was a beautiful space and in a very convenient part of town. We had a great weekend!

    Michele2014-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Tyra's loft is the perfect place to end the day after adventure-ing around Portland! The loft is true to the pictures, super clean, cozy, and with a killer view to boot. Great location super close to lots of bars and restaurants, and not too far of a walk to the bridges leading downtown. Didn't have any problems parking on the street, and the neighborhood was very easy to navigate through. Tyra also provided snacks, coffee, and some bathroom necessities, which really came in handy! We did not have the chance to meet Tyra, but she is very quick to respond, accommodating, and gave us some awesome recommendations nearby! I would absolutely recommend staying here & look forward to coming back to this space on future trips to Portland!

    Nikki2016-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay when visiting Portland. Tyra is fast to respond to any questions or issues that might come up. Thanks for letting us stay in your home.

    Daniel2017-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tyra's loft was in a great location and a perfect place to end a day adventuring around the city. The loft is cozy and homey and just the right size for two people. The views of the city off the porch are wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be centrally located. The bed was so comfy here and the little alcove that it is in is so quirky. Lastly, a thanks to Tyra for her helpful suggestions of places to visit and see and her availability to help when needed.

    Rita2016-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Vey pleasant to deal with. Was very easy to communicate with and left info on the neighborhood that was very helpful.

    Barbie2015-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, super close to plenty of great breweries and the Moda Center. The view from the deck is also pretty sweet. Would definitely recommend!

    Sabina2018-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Tyra's place! Tyra was very communicative about the place and gave us lots of recommendations about where to go and eat in the area. There were also 2 beers waiting for us in the fridge which was a great thoughtful touch. We loved the added touch of sunscreen and hair products (Kerastase and Redken, nice) in the bathroom :) The loft was very easy to get to from the airport and walking distance from great bars and places to eat. Loved it!

This space will make you feel cozy and right at home! A bright and well appointed tiny house located in Northeast Portland. Just steps from some of the best restaurants in all of Portland. The Alberta Arts district is just a few blocks away with cafes, pubs and local shopping. There are unique neighborhood amenities, such as the soaking pool and movie theater at the Kennedy School. For more photos and neighborhood info, visit: @portlandtinyhouse on Instagram.
We put a lot of love into Portland Tiny House. The space includes warm wood flooring, ceramic tiling, modern decor and special vintage touches. The house has a very comfortable Tuft and Needle queen sized bed, bathroom, kitchenette equipped for cooking light meals and cozy counter seating for two. Coffee, tea, fresh eggs and Portland travel guides provided. Need anything else?...just let us know! (2 guests with a small child may sometimes be accommodated)
Guests are a block away from Portland's most popular and notable restaurants: DOC, Beast, Autentica, Dame, Expatriate, Wilder and Yakuza Lounge. The house is within walking distance to the local New Seasons Market and the Alberta Arts District with shops/restaurants/art galleries and the hugely popular Last Thursday monthly arts festival. You certainly won't want to miss all of the wonderful shops and restaurants up on Alberta Street. There are many popular restaurants that often have a line to get in (yes...they are THAT good!) like Pine State Biscuits, Salt and Straw Ice Cream, The Grilled Cheese Grill and the Bollywood Theater. Lots of vegan dining as well: Vita Cafe, Back to Eden Bakery and the Bye and Bye Pub. So many wonderful options, we usually have a hard time deciding what to pick! Just around the corner: Walk a block up to enjoy hand-crafted morning coffee at Extracto or breakfast at Cup & Saucer. Drop in to take a yoga class at The People's Yoga studio. Hunt for fun vintage finds at Red Fox Vintage. Or you can explore the McMenamins Kennedy School: a historic elementary school re-purposed as a hotel (including a movie theater, soaking pool ($5 for a relaxing soak), restaurants and pubs). There are two parks within walking distance from the tiny house, Alberta Park and Fernhill Park. Peninsula Park is also a quick jaunt from the tiny house and it boasts a beautiful, seasonal rose garden that is often less crowded than the well known International Rose Test Garden in the West hills.
  • Immediately after we left tiny house en route to Oregon Coast, we could not help, but feel so much appreciation for having such awesome hosts (coffee, cookware, chicken coop, garden, warm shower, etc.) Duston and Genevieve had created a cozy humble abode, which we felt at ease after our long adventurous days. Oh! and they provided us with their portable AC on their very rare 90 degree Portland weather. Overall, It was our getaway within our getaway. May 2016.

  • We loved our stay at the tiny house! We came to Portland for our honeymoon, and couldn't have been happier with our two nights spent at Duston and Genevieve's home. It was absolutely beautiful, and in a wonderful neighborhood. We loved the backyard, and the chickens; and the recommendations for local restaurants and bars were spot on. They were the most wonderful hosts, and even left us a bottle of wine and thoughtful card since they knew we were on our honeymoon. We would love to stay here again when we return to Portland in the future.

    Jordan2016-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in Duston & Genevieve's lovely and comfortable tiny house! It had everything we wished for... The neighbourhood was fun to explore, with nice restaurants and Alberta main street nearby and the Mcmenamins Kennedy school (a cool cinema/restaurant etc) around the corner. Thanks for a great Portland adventure!

  • One of our favorite Airbnb experiences for sure! Such cool vibes and beautiful attention to detail. We loved everything about the decor - the wood floor, the open cabinets filled with unique pottery and wooden dishes, the abundant house plants. Incredibly clean and well equipped with all you could need - including a cute little basket filled with books and pamphlets with info on all things Portland. We wish we could have had more time to just lounge and enjoy this dreamy space. The yard was also beautiful with great seating and a hammock perfect for sipping coffee in the morning! If you want to stay in for breakfast, there is a chicken coop that is open to guests to gather eggs to use. Duston and Genevieve were very accommodating and even stocked the fridge with local beers. Would definitely recommend this to anyone to top off their Portland experience!

  • Had such a great stay at Portland tiny house! It has everything you need and is absolutely adorable. Would highly recommend. Thanks again!

  • Out of all the Airbnb's I've stayed in this is my favorite. I was a little nervous it would feel "tiny" but this home was the perfect getaway. An excellent amount of space that was so nicely decorated. I was also nervous about staying in a more suburban part of Portland but less than a block away are wonderful restaurants and a bike rental stand to quickly get anywhere you want to go. Having a wonderful little chicken coup next to the house was my favorite part. The fresh eggs went great with the French Press coffee provided in the unit.

    Louis2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Tiny House was amazing! It was such a cute spot to stay at, and the neighborhood was very nice along with the cafes and eateries. Duston and Genevieve were very great hosts.

    Sidney2017-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • The Airbnb was exactly as I imagined and then dreamier.. When you see those lights on at night, you're coming home to something magical. My mom and I felt incredibly safe in that house and neighborhood, and we adored the tiny house. My mom especially loved the garden and adorable chickens. Genevieve went above and BEYOND. Our check-in was super late and we didn't get there until 1am, and then we were lost. I called her and felt so bad but she was so sweet and helped make sure we got settled. Thank you so much! The location of the house isn't as close to what most may expect like Downtown but the neighborhood is really up and coming. Plenty to see and do. I enjoyed retreating to that side of the city at the end of a long day out, honestly. Definitely booking again for a staycation!

We offer an elegant, cozy, private guest room with private ensuite bathroom, it's own private entrance and private arbored deck. The carrera marble bath tiles are heated for winters, and the deck and garden have seating areas for summer. Like a little hotel room, this queen-bed suite is ideal for 1 or 2 who would like an entirely separate space, but don't need a full kitchen. The room features microwave, mini-fridge, teakettle & basic flatware - ideal for simple breakfasts or reheated leftovers.
This suite is unique in that it is an entirely private, hotel-room-like space designed for your privacy and independence. The suite is like a little hotel room off of our Southern-facing garden - neither we nor you have access into each other's space during your stay. You enter and leave through your own entrance off of your own arbored deck with cafe table and chairs. This suite is perfect for travelers who, not needing a full kitchen or shared living space, prefer a private and well-appointed bedroom and bathroom to call their own during their stay, with a private entrance and deck that allow for independent check in and check out and all of the amenities that you would expect in a higher-end hotel room, including snacks and refreshments, tea and instant coffee, a microwave, mini-fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, fresh towels and bedding and thoughtful, simple furnishings. The room and deck face south and east, with a lot of natural light and air flow. While some travelers love the unexpected interactions they discover with shared rooms in shared houses, our guest suite offers a bedroom and bathroom accommodation that is simpler than an entire apartment, but with all of the advantages of a totally private space for those that prefer privacy and independence.
Food in our immediate walkable neighborhood is insanely awesome: #1: Ps & Qs Market: Go for lunch or dinner any day, or brunch on the weekends; go early in your stay, because you'll want to return for more. This is a hipster bodega, with a deli case and full kitchen, like a Vermont country store. It's a hit through Portland, and people travel to our neighborhood just to eat there. 5 blocks away. #2: Woodlawn Cafe and Bakery: Super baristas and pastries. Also serving artisanal breakfast and lunch plates until about 5 or 6pm. 3 blocks away. #3: Breakside Brewery: This might be number 1 if you're a beer fan, as it is a famous regional brewery with decent brewpub cuisine. 3 blocks away. #4: Tamale Boy: Awesome and unique Mexican food, specializing in tamales, but with a broad menu. 8 blocks away, and adjoined by a decent gelato place and a funky meed bar. #5: Firehouse Restaurant: Upscale Italian restaurant featuring wood-fired pizza and higher-end Italian cuisine. Might need a reservation, but sometimes walk-ins work. 3 blocks away. #6: The Public House: A unique non-profit brew-pub where your profits are donated to the local charity of your choice. The food is really good overall. 4 blocks away. #7: Good Neighbor Pizza: Basic pizza by the slice and a bar, good for a meal on a dime, or late night (until 2am). 4 blocks away. #8: Woodlawn Farmers' Market: Every Saturday from 10am-2pm, May 21 - October 29. A handful of really fun food vendors with prepared meals that are surprisingly awesome. 3 blocks away. #9: Gram Central Station: Weed is recreationally legal in Oregon; buy a joint, and tell your friends back home about it. Just don't smoke it in your room, of course! :) 7 blocks away. #10: Hat Yai: Radically amazing Thai street food, pretty famous here in town. 13 blocks away. #11: Padna's BBQ: Seriously legit Texas-style BBQ, pretty famous here in town. 13 blocks away. #12: Prospect Bottle Shop: Curated beer, wine and cider to go, plus a little bar with small plates for tastings. 13 blocks away. Additionally, Safeway, Walgreens, Starbucks and Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen are all 9 blocks away, if you're needing to feel that big-box love and restock. We're also a short walk, bike, bus or drive from Alberta Arts District or Mississippi District, but really, the food around our own neighborhood is NICE. People who live throughout North/Northeast Portland come to our neighborhood all the time for food and drink. Alberta Arts district has great boutiques and art galleries (and the food options there are awesome too - our favorites are Boxer Ramen, Bollywood Theater (Indian street food), Salt 'n Straw Ice Cream, Random Order Pie House, Stella Tacos, Barista or Cafe Vita for coffee, Helzer's for Brunch, Tasty 'n Son's for lunch or dinner, Por Que No? for Mexican lunch/dinner/brunch... there are literally too many places to mention).
  • Anyone looking to stay in Portland needs to check out this guest suite. It's the perfect size for 1 or 2 people, and the amenities and comfort are better than most hotels I've visited. Beautiful place with a beautiful atmosphere.

  • Michael's home was perfect to stay in while we were passing through Portland. Clean, modern and full of all the amenities we needed. The AC was much appreciated during a heat wave. He even provided snacks and beverages was a great touch!

    Kevin2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very well kept and private space, in a very lovely neighbourhood. Great hosts and we would go back.

  • If you want to be in a quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle, yet 2 blocks from the best coffee shop and brewery, then look no further. What you see in the photos is what you get, and for me it was perfection.

Our newly remodeled, sunny basement guesthouse is your home away from home, walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and shopping. It has a private street entrance and all the comforts you need for a long or short stay in beautiful Portland, OR. Our place is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families with kids, and pets (as long as they aren't prone to eating the furniture).
The newly remodeled apartment is the lower level of our 1909 family home. It is a good sized studio apartment with a street-level, private entrance. You have a full sized bed, fold-out couch, TV with Netflix and Amazon video, fridge, microwave, kettle, and a big bathroom. Although the space is completely private, it is part of our house and you will likely hear us walking around upstairs or the kids playing outside.
One of the things we love about our neighborhood is that it is both residential and urban. There are often kids playing out on the street and all the neighbors know one another and hang out. But, we are also in a city and there are lots of stores and restaurants only a couple of blocks away. It is usually pretty quiet, but sometimes the neighbors will have a party, sirens go by, or there may be a Naked Bike Ride going down the street. We are right in middle of what makes Portland everything Portland is known for.
  • The apartment is very charming and in a wonderful location! It was perfect for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were able to explore many parts of Portland and surrounding areas. Aimee was a fantastic host! I would highly recommend.

    Alyssa2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amiee was a great host and keep us in the loop with anything we needed help with during our stay. She had a lot of amenities that helped us throughout our stay such as the mini-fridge, coffee pot, cups, bowls, spoons, hair dryer, towels, Soaps & shampoos, just so much provided for our stay! I wouldn't hesitant to visit again!

    Daniel2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Aimee's place was very cute and welcoming, clean and comfortable! Walkable to all the hip cool spots and only about a 10 min lyft to downtown Portland.

    Andrea2017-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a small, clean basement studio without a kitchen but was all we needed! It's perfect for one or two people or a small family who are planning to spend their time out and about. We stayed here with our kids and found it very convenient having a Whole Foods type store with hot buffet style breakfast and coffee just around the corner. There is an amazing ice cream parlor just around the corner from this place too called What's the Scoop. I sent my husband to pick up ice cream for us after we got the kids to sleep. Check in was easy and we really appreciated Aimee's flexibility when we had to cut our visit a day short.

    Katelyn2018-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The room was very nice and it's a great location! We enjoyed walking to the nearby restaurants and breweries which we had plenty to choose from.

  • I loved staying at Aimee's place! It was cozy and very nice! It was perfect for a group of four friends that was out exploring the city. Loved the neighborhood, quiet, calm and there's tons to do just around the corner. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

  • We had a great stay at Paul's place. The suite was a perfect spot for our 2 night stay in Portland. Paul was a great host, and responded to our emails/questions quickly. We would definitely stay here again, and we recommend Paul's place to others.

    Paul And Jeanette2015-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent space, great responsiveness and your when we arrived. Raining so much when we showed up, and Paul graciously welcomed us in with soaked boots to get warm and dry in his home. We loved the coffee, tea, and water provided! Great location, close to McMennamin's!!

    Tim2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Paul and Carolyn have created a truly beautiful loft space."Funky" doesn't do it full justice: it's decorated with tons of flair and lots of thoughtful personal touches. It's super comfortable -- and immaculate. Paul was an excellent host: very welcoming and accommodating, and quick to respond to all inquiries before we arrived. (We were only there overnight and didn't meet Carolyn.) Five out of five stars. Highly recommended!

  • Paul is great! He is so friendly, nice and kind. we had excellent contact with Him. His apartment is awsome, has an amazing atmosphere, cozy, clean, warm and has absulutnie everything you need. And Portland is unique! Thank You Paul! :)

  • Paul's place was lovely and quiet and close to everything. We enjoyed hanging out in the little alcove bed and reading. Both beds were super comfortable and provided a welcome place to relax in between our adventures. Paul was very attentive to our needs and left plenty of great information/magazines about the city. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Portland. :)

    Dee2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Paul's place was perfect for us. It is as described on the webpage and in the photo. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The kitchen doesn't have running water so Paul cleans up the dishes after you daily. You can park right in front of the house but it's on a busy street.

    Susan2014-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • The room was beautiful! It was set up like a homey hotel room, with all the luxuries you need to enjoy yourself. Paul was very accommodating, and easy to get along with. This house was the best place to stay in during my stay in portland by far. It's in a great location with lots of great restaurants close by and a great park across the street

Join us in one of Portland's hottest neighborhoods. Blocks away from SE Division street (home to Salt and Straw, Ava Gene's and Pok Pok), SE Hawthorne Street (historic hippie district) and Mt. Tabor Park (perfect for hiking and summer picnics).
Enjoy our brand new, charming 750 sq/ft apartment with old growth wooden beams, lots of natural light, and an original kitchen sink that my grandma used for canning her garden fruits. Guests have a private entrance, equipped kitchen, extra large bathroom with tub, queen bed, plush linens, full size pull out couch, storage closet and a 50" TV with cable. We've turned this studio into a mini-oasis and can't wait to share it with you.
Our home is in one of Portland's best & most historic neighborhoods, nestled between two of the city's most active, restaurant and bar filled streets. A family friendly, walkable, beautiful area. Division street sits two blocks south of our home where you can find Portland's most acclaimed & nationally recognized restaurants, such as: Pok Pok, Ava Genes, Woodsman Tavern and Salt and Straw. It's also home to Stumptown Coffee Roaster's very first coffee shop. This street is super chic but laid back, with many cute boutiques and upscale bars. Just two blocks north of our home sits SE Hawthorne Street-- historically known as Portland's "hippie district." Lots of brew pubs, second hand and vintage shops, along with the famed Por Que No Mexican restaurant. And for a killer view of the city and some beautiful nature, just head twelve blocks east, to Mount Tabor Park--a volcano cinder cone! You can hike, picnic, bike, and enjoy summer concerts here.
  • Danielle's apartment was cozy and comfortable, exactly what we were looking for. It's a great location, with easy access to restaurants and more on Division or Hawthorne. Danielle's recommendations for nearby food and drink were also superb. A great spot to stay in southeast Portland.

    Nick2016-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • The house was great and in a fun part of East Portland. Danielle was very welcoming and even had a informative packet of restaurants and places to visit etc. You could walk to almost anything you needed and when we did leave in our car there was plenty of parking upon return. The house itself was a great value and very comfortable. We had everything we needed along with a awesome TV in the living room. We would love to come back!

The bunk room has been created as a nod to the hotel's creation as a safe place for sailors. You'll find the same thing in this space with 18' ceilings- cozy, strong, and comfortable triple bunk beds.
At The Society Hotel, we believe in making every traveler feel authentically connected to our community so they are ready to enjoy our beautiful city from day one. We offer three ways to experience our unique hotel: bunk rooms for the affordable community experience; private rooms with shared bathrooms for comfort without excess; and suites for a bit of affordable luxury. All of our rooms come with plush beds, 10-foot windows, high speed wifi, and a hospitality experience unlike any other.
Old Town is Portland's oldest neighborhood - the original epicenter of Portland, Oregon. It has a colorful history and an equally colorful present! We are the epicenter of Portland's street fashion scene, the nightlife district, as well as a social services haven for those most in need. So expect an eclectic mix from Old Town, and hopefully love it as much as we do!
  • El lugar es absolutamente limpio, bien organizado, todo su personal es muy amable

    Claudia2018-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • The location is amazing, about 2 blocks from all the areas of Portland you'd want to visit like Voodoo doughnuts, Bailey's Tap room, tons of breweries, the list goes on... For a communal style hotel, it was VERY surprisingly private. This was one of the things I was initially leery about, but after reading some of the reviews, it sounded like privacy was not an issue. I can confirm that you have plenty of privacy. Super awesome hip interiors, and great staff. You will not find a better place to stay for the price.

    Riley2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and nice.

    Shira2018-09-19T00:00:00Z

  • I highly recommend the Society Hotel. It’s a great place to meet new people. You can’t beat the price, the rooftop lounge is awesome. We stayed in the bunkhouse and were surrounded by conscientious fellow travelers. The cafe/bar is hip and convenient.

  • Great place, great location just in front of the famous Chinese Garden!

    David2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • The bunk beds and spaces are spartan but functional and comparable to other hostels. The building is nicely renovated and the staff were patient, responsive and accommodating. I'd stay here again, but look to book earlier to get a room instead of a bunk.

  • We loved staying at Melissa’s place. We felt cozy and safe in her apartment. She left awesome treats in the fridge for us and we were so thankful! Very nice touches made us feel very at home. The recommended places to eat were great, we only got to try one spot, (beeswing) and it did not disappoint! Thank you again Melissa for such a short and oh so sweet stay!

    Abbi2018-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • It's a BIG basement room with a bed on one side, and a FULL kitchen on the other. Large bathroom. Even has a fireplace. Warm and cozy. (Snowed for Xmas while we were there.) Nice amenities all around. One or two people could easily spend several days there while experiencing Portland. It's right near Concordia Univ, which means a pleasant walk over to Alberta shops/restaurants. Melissa is very responsive, but the whole process is so easy, you won't really need to ask for anything. Check-in is super easy. Lots of street parking too. This is our old 'hood, and we'd stay here again for sure.

  • Hands down one of the best places we’ve stayed with AirBnB. Melissa was a great host and had such a great place. In a great location within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and neighborhoods to explore. We will definitely come back to visit Truman and the rest of Portland!

We had a wonderful experience at Bob and Karen's place! They had a great little vinyl collection so I just *had* to play the Beatles' Abbey Road while I checked out all the interesting cool things in their space (and it's endless!). We felt very safe in their neighborhood, and it's very close to a bunch of places to eat. They're also really close to a 7/11 in case you needed to pick something up, but it wasn't all that necessary since they thought of everything! There were umbrellas, extra toiletries, ear plugs and even breakfast items including homemade granola and yogurt (delicious!). It was a very memorable stay in Portland, and marked the beginning of a very awesome trip! I highly recommend Karen and Bob's place!
