On arrival at our agreed meeting point I'll provide you with a short safety briefing together with a map of the route. We'll then have a structured warm-up session before setting off for the hills. During our route we'll experience some of the Peak Districts stunning vistas, remote moorlands and historical sights. We'll go off the beaten path so you can experience some of the lesser known parts of the area. Whether you're a beginner or more experienced runner our pace will be whatever is comfortable for you. We want to enjoy our surroundings rather than be exhausted. During our session we'll stop for a snack and a drink at a viewpoint, and take in some of the fantastic views. We'll finish our session with a visit to one of the Peak Districts many pubs or cafes for a refreshment, and to look back on our day.
Map of the route
During the route I'll take you past some of my favourite Peak District spots, including some of the wonderful rock formations, where you can easily climb to the top and enjoy the view. We'll also pass waterfalls, hunt for the sites of some aricraft wrecks that are still strewn across the remote moorlands, and visit historical areas, such as the location where the Mass Trespass started in 1932, which opened the way for public access to the area.
