We are "Team Sakura cook" which loves Japanese food. We provide cooking classes to foreign travelers and used to operate a Japanese restaurant for local people. Let's share the secret of how to make Japanese food and taste with us!
Fumi retired a big company and started Sakura cook 2017. As the owner and chef, have a dream of spreading Japanese food all over the world.
Miyuki is Fumi's sister, used to live in Australia over 2 years and found how Japanese dishes attract so many people.

Tami and Fumi are wonderful ladies, friendly and cheerful. They also have a lot about Japanese cooking to share, knowledgeable as well. My family had a great time in our cooking class and would certainly want to visit Sakura Cook again on our next visit. Sakura Cook is a place highly recommended.

I had an excellent time attending the course. the teach Ms Fumi is very friendly and easy to talk to. She shared some of the history of the ingredients that are used, and how families in Japan would prepare the dishes. I had a very enriching time with the hands on to make the sushi. The whole lesson was conducted in a light hearted manner and Ms Fumi was very encouraging. I strongly recommend this course to anyone who loves sushi and would like to try to learn.

What a lovely experience this was! I was warmly welcomed by the hosts, who both did a fantastic job at teaching and getting everyone involved in the cooking process. Their English is also very good, so the lesson was easy to follow and they can answer any questions you have about Japanese cuisine! The sushi, miso soup and yakitori ended up being the tastiest food I have eaten in Japan so far. The meal is quite sizeable and the ingredients are high quality and very fresh, so you definitely get your money’s worth. We were also served green tea and Japanese desserts. There is the option to buy various Japanese drinks to go with your food, of which I highly recommend their sake :)
It was definitely the highlight of my trip to Osaka and will happily take another one of their classes the next time I visit!

Miyuki and her sister (owner) were absolutely amazing. They were so kind, fun and happy to teach us. I particularly enjoyed that they explained the reasons to why we did certain steps in the cooking process, and explained "Umami" to us. This course was worth every penny, if only we had more time, we would've have done the Takoyaki class as well! You do lots of hands on cooking, but Miyuki and her sister has done all the prep work, so you get to do the fun parts of each step.

Wow I can make sushi now!!! What amazing instructions and advice throughout this exception Airbnb experience! I am very hard person to impress however the sisters exceed my expectations! I really appreciated them explaining why something is done that why and agreed with the less rice than I was accustomed too! I highly recommend this experience to even the novice home cook. Great very clean location that is well marked! Please come hungry as you will need two stomachs to enjoy all the food you make in this course!
