Qué harás

Discover wine and Montmartre at the same time with a local!

Montmartre is a unique place in Paris. And it's not only about the Sacré-Coeur!

Born and raised in Paris, son of a historian and wine journalist, I would love to share all Montmartre secrets with you: the time when it was an independent town, cabarets, the remaining vineyard, street art...

But I also want to share my passion for wine since Montmartre is the only place in Paris where to found a still-running vineyard!

During two hours, I want to show you the little streets where tourists don't often go. And make you feel like a real Montmartrois (a person who lives in Montmartre). So we'll also seat in a cosy lovely café to learn about wine and taste some from my own private cellar of course!

And of course, I'll show you where to find cool restaurants and cafés, hidden terraces with stunning views so that you can enjoy Parisian life the way Parisians do!

Can't wait to meet you ;)

Born and raised in Paris (my family has been living here for a century), I used to be a banker. But when I turned 30, I decided to do something I really liked. So I became a wine journalist after new studies in the wine business. My passion for history also prompted me to start touring people in Paris, namely in Montmartre, my beloved neighborhood. I write for one of France's most renowned wine magazine and also regularly organize wine tasting sessions for wine lovers. On my free time, I also am a tour guide for a famous company specialized in original visits in Paris.

Dónde irás

We'll make a beautiful walk in Montmartre through its little streets and lovely squares. We'll stop in front of different monuments and works of art along the way. We might see places where famous movies were shot. And, of course, we'll rest in a lovely café on the way for approximately 45 minutes, during which I'll make you discover French wines and taste some!!!

Part of the excitment of this tour is that you don't know what to expect. It was entertaining and interesting and really saw a different side to Monmartre an area the Jean-Michel knows very well, that I think he would be able to cater for your interests, so a different tour every time. It was also great how intimate it was, there was such a small group of us.

We would never have unearthed the delights of Montmartre without the enthusiastic and engaging direction of Jean-Michel. It was a cold, grey, wet day and yet the whole experience was one not to be missed; it was the perfect antidote to the weather. Every stop along the way held a new delight and we were carried along by his flair, knowledge and warmth of personality. Please can we do it all again?!

Jean-Michel is really showing you the spots of Montmartre, which you don't get to see normally. I learned a lot about the culture and history of Montmartre. Quite the experience with a lovely guide!

Jean Michel , as a true born and bred Parisian, is the perfect guide for a visit of Montmartre . It’s also his own district so everything is very personal to him . As the number of participants is limited , it feels more like friends discovering a place than a crowded tour .

If you are interested in getting off the beaten path, discover hidden alleys and their history, this is the tour for you. Jean-Michel is passionate about his village and excited to share it with you. We learned about famous residents, hidden hotels and street art, which is on just about every corner. We enjoyed a croissant from a famous bakery and had a fun time at a café. Montmartre is a charming part of Paris and whether it is your first visit or you have been there before, Jean-Michel will be able to show you new places. Highly recommend!
