For 13 years our mixed herd has organically rejuvenated years of overgrazing on our family farm.
Medicinal herbs and rizomes are planted strategically, protected species are flourishing, and gentle pasture management with sheep, goats and horses, help keep our family farm open for wildlife. DOE RAM ME specifically breeds Karakul, the oldest domesticated sheep in the world, mixed breed goats for meat, personal dairy consumption add to natural forest management as our herd rejuvenates the land and soil with their pesticide free pellets. Our horses guard them. The Indomitable Spirit of the horse that gives us silly humans wings to fly tether us to the vibrational heartbeat of the our mother : earth.

Come restore your soul with a walkabout and love on our furry friends.

We had a magical afternoon with El and her animals on her farm. It was a cold and misty afternoon but the children didn't even notice as they were enthralled with the goats, sheep, rams, horses and baby lambs! El was an incredible host explaining the interworkings of the farm. She is excellent with children and knows how to keep them engaged and asked them questions. We took the sheep and goats on a walk (!!) around the farm, through two streams and then back into the barn. Then we got to hold a lamb that was one day old. During a year when we have had to be home so much, this was a huge treat for our family to be able to be in nature with sweet animals. Our children range in ages and even the 18 month old baby adored the farm and didn't want to leave. We will be back. Thank you El!

WONDERFUL experience. This was the perfect morning activity for me and my friend. It was so fun to hang out with all the goats and get to know them. We even got to see and hold a day old sheep! Would highly recommend this experience!

Our experience with Elizabeth was wonderful! She has a true gift for connecting with animals and a rare ability to make all of her guests feel comfortable. During our time on the farm, we got to know Elizabeth, she told us many stories and genuinely cared about us having a good time. We helped care for baby sheep, gave the animals their annual vaccines (we have basic training in this from our work that allowed us to help with this) and helped herd her goats and sheep through the large property her family owns. All of the animals were incredibly friendly, and we felt safe and cared for throughout the experience.

AMAZING ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME experience with sheep, goats, horses, and peacocks. We had the most wonderful time with Elizabeth, and I didn't shut up about it for over a week. It is difficult to describe how much fun we had, but it was just perfect for me and my fiance--we were intimately close with the animals, we were allowed to help Elizabeth with her shepherding duties, and we had a limitless amount of questions that were answered. Only except to this is if you are a super uptight person who has been told s/he can't go with the flow or anyone who hates animals... this experience isn't for you. You have to kind of roll with the punches with Elizabeth and the animals, and she can't force animals to like you. You are literally seeing how a small goat/sheep farm operates, so if that's not your thing, don't go to this. Feel like this goes without saying, but unfortunately people book things all the time with really odd expectations as to what the experience is going to be like--don't be that person.
