Join us for a hands-on Provençal cooking experience in Lourmarin, one of the most beautiful villages in the Luberon. With over 40 years of experience in the food and hospitality industry, we love sharing our craft and knowledge with those who are eager to learn.

We’ll start the day with a guided tour of the fabulous Friday market, picking out a few seasonal favorites for our class.

We’ll head home to La Récolte and settle in with a coffee and croissant, while Chef Nicky covers our menu for the day. Cindy will guide you through our vegetable garden to harvest some vegetables and herbs for the menu.

Then, it’s time to cook! We’ll take you through the culinary process of a seasonally-inspired meal with ample time to ask questions, and appreciate the tastes and sensory beauty that surround us. The experience will take place outdoors on an open fire with hands-on cooking stations.

After class, we’ll enjoy our 4-course lunch with regional biodynamic wines to complement the menu.

During the day, you’ll learn about our beehives, chickens, young vines, and the olive grove--which yields one of the healthiest and most natural of Provençal products, olive oil. We are dedicated to the land around us, harvesting its produce as the seasons change and constantly learning from local farmers and artisans along the way. We look forward to welcoming you to La Récolte!

We have spent our entire professional lives sharing our passion for food with others. We have 40+ years experience in the food and catering business: myself as a chef, restaurateur, caterer, culinary consultant, and a graduate of the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland; and my wife Cindy as a co-owner of our businesses and a Certified Health Coach, of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Cindy’s work has equipped her with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition which contributes to the food that we grow, eat, and cook together at La Récolte.

All of my menus are creatively and individually designed using fresh, organic, seasonal ingredients. Many food trends have come and just as quickly gone. What hasn’t changed is that good, unprocessed, quality food is essential to healthy, delicious eating.

All food is sourced locally.

The cooking experience takes place at Domaine de la Rècolte a few minutes from the center of Lourmarin village center. The domaine is located in the heart of the Luberon national park.
