I am a Holistic Practitioner (2002), Tai Chi Instructor (2001), Reiki Master (2014) and certified Reflexologist (2002).
Originally from China, I grew up with an appreciation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the martial arts. Tai Chi is an internal Chinese martial art practised for both its defence training and its health benefits. It is based on the philosophy of yin and yang, which is translated into the movements.
Tai chi promotes harmony between body, mind and spirit. Deep stretching combined with a full range of motions strengthens the body and calms the mind.
I will show you that Tai Chi is FUN!

Dónde irás
We will be at Grange Park, a beautiful and historic green space in downtown Toronto.
It is located south of the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), beside the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCAD), and north of University Settlement House.
We will meet by the famous Two Large Forms by Henry Moore.
NOTE if it is raining: (1) there is somewhat of a covering under the OCAD structure, best with a poncho or (2) rain date for the next day.

Tai chi with Katy was a wonderful first-time experience for my partner and me. We were so charmed by the location (Grange Park, my favourite Toronto park) and Katy's excellent teaching methods. We learned alot in one hour and have kept on practicing our tai chi moves which has helped both of our creaky joints! Katy also provided information sheets to take home with us. I can recommend the experience to anyone who is curious about tai chi and who wants to try a new wellness practice that they can do for the rest of their lives. It was a great introduction and located very close to Chinatown, so afterwards we went for dim sum and came back to the park for a feast. Highly recommended for singles, couples of families.

Excellent experience! The best way to start the weekend, slow down, look inside and practice Tai Chi. I took this class with my husband and we both enjoyed it a lot. Katy is a great instructor, who cared about wellbeing and shared her passion all along. Highly recommended!

Tai Chi experience is fun, informative and enhance wellness. The booking was in private, my husband and I was cautions about Covid-19 and Katy accommodated accordingly. The session was in the morning and gave us a positive energy/ mood throughout our day. Katy is an expert and very passionate about Tai Chi, wellness in life! The experience encourages our willingness to explore and learn about Tai Chi more. We were immersed on the fundamentals of it, understanding the deeper meaning of Tai Chi. The activity shows us the benefits of Tai Chi in coordination of our body, balance, strength, positive energy flow. Katy thank you for making our Anniversary memorable thru your Tai Chi Experience. Thank You for being part of our love story!! Superb experience to explore!!

This is a very detailed discipline and to learn to do properly takes time. Kate was very patient and did not overwhelm us in the first session. We were shown three moves which each were repeated as many times as we needed before moving on to the next.

We had an amazing tai chi lesson with Katy. She was very knowledgeable and provided us with lots of interesting information. She was helpful in demonstrating how to do the movements and realizing when we needed an extra demonstration to really get it right. We had so much fun and really enjoyed learning about tai chi, and enjoyed being in the park! Thanks so much!
